Good restaurant with very friendly service, delicious food, and just about acceptable prices. If you're craving steak (beef), be extremely careful. Ours was as hard as shoe soles! The food had to be returned! For larger parties, you should pre-order!

Good traditional German cuisine with excellent German wines from Württemberg.

I ordered a schnitzel with croquettes and got a schnitzel the size of a child's hand and 5 croquettes for 20€. It's an outrage. I can't recommend the restaurant.

The atmosphere of the restaurant reminded me of an upscale East German pub—stylish, but a bit stiff. The waiter was clearly trying hard, but seemed very tense, which unfortunately affected the overall impression. Maybe it just wasn't the right evening—but I didn't really feel comfortable.

Since we visit Bautzen several times a year, for a week at a time, the Lusatia has always been our regular restaurant. Unfortunately, this has now changed. We were very surprised to discover that the menu had changed slightly. My husband used to really enjoy the steak with fried potatoes and mushrooms...unfortunately, the mushrooms have now been replaced with beans. When we asked about this, we received a terse reply that this is just how it is. His request to replace the beans with mushrooms was ignored! So he had to eat a schnitzel with mushroom sauce to keep himself satiated. Strange, there are mushrooms, why can't they be fried? Convenience sauce??? The waiter, who has always been very friendly and personable, was extremely taciturn this time, even though he knows us as long-time guests. It's a shame. We actually only went to the Lusatia once this time, as we were, and still are, a little disappointed. However, our last visit did have one positive aspect: We had the pleasure of getting to know other very good restaurants in Bautzen. Addendum: Since my criticism didn't fall on deaf ears and was answered promptly and politely, I've reconsidered and corrected my star rating. We'll be back in Bautzen in October and, of course, will stop by Lusatia again.

My husband and I ate at Lusatia yesterday. We received a friendly welcome and the food was okay, but the prices are definitely too high for the portion size and taste. Plus, a child's portion is more than you'd get, and the price is better than a regular main course. The waiter seemed arrogant and feigned friendliness. We wouldn't eat here again. What a shame.

For the money, it was very, very little...more like a total joke...and only 5 croquettes, no idea who would be satisfied with that...it was a total joke anyway...the atmosphere is still pretty good...and then there's that arrogant waiter...God knows what he thinks he is. We definitely won't be eating there again.

A very nice inn with a beer garden and bowling alley. We spontaneously walked there from our accommodation one evening and were immediately greeted warmly. The service was very friendly, attentive, and courteous. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. Despite the inn being busy, we didn't have to wait long.

The "Tuesday Sandwich-Free Club" with four couples came to the restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious and the service very good and attentive. We sat on the terrace, which was very pleasant given the temperatures. We highly recommend the restaurant.

Very nice restaurant with delicious food

Really inhospitable. Sunshine may be nice, but no one wants to eat their food in the blazing sun. There are enough parasols, but you won't get one if pensioners have secured one, even though they didn't need the umbrella at their seat. It cannot be the case that you can only get a parasol with a reservation. The service should have simply picked up one of the two umbrellas from other selfish guests.

We (6 people) spontaneously received a very warm welcome here after visiting the Bautzen2 memorial. Even though we hadn't made a reservation, we were able to eat and drink deliciously until our table was taken again. Everyone was very happy with their food and the price-performance ratio deserved 5 stars. The holidaymakers from Schwielowsee say thank you to the team.

The wait for the food took far too long, my schnitzel was completely dry and had far too much oil in it!

Good middle class without a lot of frills

The two of us were there for lunch in mid-January. It was too cold in the restaurant. The dining room is wood paneled and looks good. Judging by the loud conversations, the other guests were almost all widowed, older women who talked about their illnesses and levels of care. Pop songs were playing softly in the restaurant. The staff behaved correctly. The selection of dishes is completely sufficient. The food was nicely presented. My husband was very happy with his steak au four, my pike perch was only lightly seasoned and the vegetables were only lukewarm. Conclusion: We weren't disappointed, but we didn't have the desire to go there again.

A really nice, cosy and quiet place for dinner. The portions are very manageable and the food is delicious, not to mention the hospitality of the staff. For desert I could definitely recommend "Gebackenes Eis", it is heavenly good 😊

I was extremely disappointed, as we were so pleasantly surprised in the summer by the friendliness and the lovingly prepared food. The service left a lot to be desired in terms of friendliness, mumbled and had no interest. I wanted the duck leg that was offered at the entrance instead there was the goose leg in the restaurant, which was 10 euros more expensive, which was not communicated properly. My mother, who is over 80 years old, had ordered and while the waitress was standing at the table she asked for a senior portion. This was dismissed with the note "I screwed it up, it can't be changed." My red wine spritzer was delivered as a white wine spritzer. You can't even talk about lovingly prepared dishes. After my visit in the summer I recommended Lusatia to many friends, but I will no longer do so.

No expression of condolence, whether the guests had eaten was cleared away, the staff was unfriendly, you could see that he didn't feel like eating, after requesting new plates it was rejected. Instead of what was agreed, something else was served. The half-empty plates were passed from table to table. The sad parents and the husband were extremely disappointed with the whole package for the money that was paid. Sorry not recommended.

A popular restaurant for years (even during GDR times). Home cooking is always delicious. Service good. Only the entire facility could be spruced up a bit. Always happy to go there.

It was delicious. Unfortunately we didn't get enough. This can be improved. A piece of bread or baguette would have been desirable with the soup. Zander fillet has already been criticized in other reviews. One more potato certainly won't hurt...

Today we once again had the finest food, friendly, fast service, nice place to sit, food bomb and enough to fill you up. The catering in between was also really good, even though the house was full.... Only, half the Landskron for 5.20 is really a bargain... But otherwise nothing to complain about... Keep it up!!!

Very quaint restaurant with average food. The ambience is uninviting, very old-fashioned and often has defects. For example: Only a few light bulbs work on the lamp....they are often not even the same or they flicker every now and then. The handrail next to the table is purely decorative; if you try to hold on to it, you'll notice that it wobbles a lot and probably wouldn't prevent a fall. Unfortunately, the service was very slow but friendly (drinks arrived after 30 minutes, the food arrived after 1.5 hours), but I would blame this on the many guests in the restaurant. The food was OK. I had a pulled pork burger that, at first glance, was very sadly prepared and didn't impress in terms of taste (far too much cabbage, little meat). Only the bun was good. But that was offset by a great dessert (probably, like the toppings on the burger, a ready-made product with chocolate sauce from the package). hence the conclusion: Okay for those who like it that way, it probably fits the target group. Average price for today (16-23€ for main courses). However, I would not come back because of the points listed above.

We were visiting someone in Bautzen and were invited to this inn. The building itself makes a very nice impression, because the restaurant is located in a historic, beautiful town house or villa. It was very hot and we were really lucky that we got a spot in the garden area because it was very crowded. The service was very friendly and, even though it was so busy, really quick. The food was also simply great!

We were invited for a birthday and our table was beautifully prepared. It's a shame that there are no painting supplies for children - that would certainly be nice. The food was very tasty - but it could have been more. My walleye looked a little lost on the plate. The staff was friendly and had a lot to do. Unfortunately there was a strong smell of deep fryer in the whole room. Maybe something could be done about it. But otherwise it was a pleasant evening PS: I was a little sad when I saw bruschetta at the next table... I would have liked to have it but it wasn't on the menu ;( If there are art supplies - it would be nice - if the staff could point them out. Most of the time we know it that way. If there is a vegan card then simply add it to the normal card. That would be very thoughtful and generate more interest. Kind regards, Jeremiah

Guest room is very old. Dirty tablecloths at Easter aren't that great either. The food tastes good, but the portions are too small for the rather high prices.

Schade für die Kellner das man hier mit Karte bezahlen kann, denn dadurch geht das Trinkgeld verloren und man sieht dem Personal an das sie, so denke ich, keinen Bock haben am Wochenende zu arbeiten! Es gibt in Bautzen auch Gaststätten, da läuft es super auch wenn nur Barzahlung möglich ist! Denkt mal darüber nach! LG

Das Essen war ganz gut. Die Wartezeit hielt sich auch in Grenzen! Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Ich war am Anfang sehr skeptisch. Die Innenausstattung ist nämlich echt schon in die Jahre gekommen. Aber das Essen (bei mir Kürbissuppe und Rinderbäckchen) waren echt top. Toiletten und die Räume sind sauber. Parkplätze vorhanden. Komme gerne wieder. ☺️

Waren heute zum Mittagessen hier. Davon abgesehen bin ich öfters hier essen meistens zu Geburtstagen. Aber das essen ist immer perfekt macht weiter so Danke für das tolle Essen und den netten service.

Wie immer wurden wir auch dieses mal mit sehr viel Aufmerksamkeit bewirtet. Das Essen war wieder vom feinsten.
