We stopped here after our visit to the Uetersen Spring Festival. After the long walk, we were thirsty and were treated to a delicious, freshly tapped beer. Even though he was already closing time, the four of us still got a second one. A very friendly landlord, and a great place to chat. It's a small but cozy pub, with a few tables outside.

...We chopped, stirred, caramelized, used the birchwood smoker, grilled over a fire, strained, pureed, laughed, listened, chopped some more, separated, kneaded, and served...& ENJOYED! What a wonderful evening of enjoyment at Bernd & Anne Ratjen's! If you love to cook, enjoy food, are curious, and appreciate regional products, you've come to the right place. The two of them lead the evening with interest, attention, and friendliness, including the recounting of the family history. Here you can feel the long tradition and the awareness of the daily implementation of high quality standards. We were a nice little group that gathered for the cooking event – it was a perfect fit! I'm a fan from today on! ...and I'll definitely be back soon to browse Aunt Anne's shop! Delicious, homemade dishes in jars for purchase, as well as various chutneys, homemade salts with different herbs, ketchup made from local plums, mustard... and, and, and... Marktstraße 19Ordered food for pickup by phone. "Come in 20 minutes." I arrived on time, but nothing was ready (my lunch break isn't all day, after all), so I waited another 20 minutes... then started walking home with the food (one order of duck, one of fried noodles) and arrived after a 3-minute walk. The noodles were okay... the duck was awful, lukewarm and soggy... not worth a single euro... first and last time for us...
