First-class food at reasonable prices

Well, let's just say it was quite okay. The price/performance ratio is borderline. The food was very poorly presented; the mayo was squirted from the tube onto the edge of the plate, and the lemon on the schnitzel was a bit dried out. The ambiance is a bit older, but I personally like it that way because those are usually the restaurants with the tastiest food. Unfortunately, not quite so in this case.

This food makes you happy and keeps you full for a long time. Large portions and reasonable prices. After a walk with the dogs, you can stop here and enjoy coffee, burgers, and cake. The owner and staff are really nice 👍 We'd love to come back.

We can't in good conscience recommend this restaurant. We can't believe it has received so many good reviews. The service wasn't particularly friendly, very taciturn. You could tell she wasn't particularly keen on serving guests. We sat outside. The only nice thing was the well-kept garden. Old furniture with plastic chairs and waxed tablecloths. We can't comment on what it looked like inside. About the food: We only wanted a bite to eat. My wife immediately sent back the Hawaiian toast; it was unacceptable. Too expensive at €10, too. The cutlery also had to be replaced beforehand. My Wiener Schnitzel was also a pre-cooked schnitzel cooked in the deep fryer. The fries were good, and the side salad was okay. At €12, it was cheap, but that doesn't make it any better.

Simple, good cuisine in a beautifully maintained garden. Prices the same as 10 years ago.

Old restaurant with a simple, pleasant terrace. Friendly service. Good value for money. Many come for coffee and cake. Asparagus schnitzel €15. Wheat ale €3.50

We stopped for a cold drink. The staff was very unfriendly and taciturn. The garden was the only thing we liked.

Idyllically located place. Nice to sit outside when the weather is right 🌞. Plenty of delicious cakes on offer. Not overcrowded. 😡The service was very nice and friendly. Prices are perfectly fine. There is also a slide for children (big and small 😉🤪). Parking directly in front of the house. I liked it and I think my friends did too 😁...asoo, almost forgot; Allergy sufferers are also taken into account if a meal has to be changed because someone cannot tolerate an ingredient 🤘🙏

Last year we left a good review. However, it was sad now. The owner regularly smokes in the doorway, causing the entire restaurant to smell of smoke. After 50 minutes we still hadn't received a menu, so we left and had a quick bite at the mac.

The food was delicious, great quality for a reasonable price. The service was very friendly and accommodating. All in all, recommended without reservation. We'd love to come back.

As a Bad Driburger, I actually discovered the Josefsmühle much too late. But now it's my daily go-to. 5 stars especially for the landlord... his menu... the service and his regular customers. Keep it up!

Have been guests here from time to time. It's nice that nothing has changed, it's almost like coming home. Got very tasty food at a fair price. That hasn't changed either, as has the friendly waiter. Thank you very much and see you soon.

Everyone is very nice, the food is great and cheap, the premises are older, but I go there to eat and not because of the premises.

I am very satisfied with the friendly service, the food is plentiful and very well priced. It's a shame that my wife and I didn't visit the restaurant much earlier!

The food was good and relatively cheap.

We were there for Christmas and it was simply delicious. The meat was totally fresh and juicy and the service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very rustic, you have to like that. Price-performance ratio is extremely fair, even more so. We would and will definitely come there for dinner more often.

The place is a bit old and you shouldn't let that put you off. The food and service is very good.

We were there for coffee. Came from a walk, so to speak, from behind. Were served even though it was actually closed. Delicious coffee and great homemade cakes. It's nice to sit in the beer garden. You can hear the nearby main road, but it's not particularly annoying.

We come here several times a year when we visit Bad Driburg. The food, the service, is just great, so friendly. If we lived here we would definitely be there every week. Simply great!

Gemütliche kleine Gaststätte mit guten Essen. Kann ich gern weiter empfehlen. Wir gehen gern wieder hin.

Tolle Kneipe, in der man auch als Auswärtiger gut behandelt wird. Deutschland wie es sein sollte. Die Preise sind der Knaller und Fritz ist ein Original.

Bei Fritz in der Mühle wird man zuverlässig mit kühlem Nass und traditioneller Hausmannskost versorgt. Immer wieder gerne, kann’s nur jedem empfehlen!

Wir haben das Lokal nur durch Zufall gefunden und sind begeistert. Schmackhaftes Essen, total frisch und ein aufmerksamer Service.

Wirklich nett. Ein wenig "retro". Draußen sitzt man fast wie im Garten. Drinnen eigentlich klassisches Dorfkneipen - Ambiente. Ich vermisse sowas. Habe nicht geglaubt, dass es sowas noch gibt. Bitte liebe Wirtin, lass das so. Wir haben auf der Durchreise nur Kaffee getrunken und ein Eis gegessen. Die Wirtin war super nett, die Qualität war gut.

Gehen da gern hin. Supernettes Personal und deftig gutes Essen zum echt guten Preis. Ist sowas eie unser Stammgaststätte geworden.

Geweldig leuke locatie. Een groot terras. Eten is goed en vooral veel :-) De eigenaar is zeer aardig en attent. Als we in de buurt zijn gaan we zeker weer langs.

Hatte leider etwas Pech, hatte ein Haar im Essen, habe aber sofort ein anderes Essen bekommen inklusive Entschuldigung, selbst der Koch war noch mal bei mir am Tisch und hat sich entschuldigt. Ansonsten ein einfaches Lokal, freundliche Bedienung was will man mehr. Für das Haar ein Stern Abzug.

Die Josefsmühle eine 1aaa Adresse, du brauchst nicht lange suchen. Eigentlich für eine Kurstadt zu gut - weil Deftig. Getränke vom Bierkutscher nix von Lidel & Co. Selbstgemachtes vom aller feinsten und sehr lecker. Saisonal empfiehlt die nette Bedienung auch Wildbrett. Den Lärm der B 64 kannst Du auf abstand halten. Sehr nette Bedienung und Fritz muss sich noch um die Post und Pakete der der Stadt (Bürgermeister) kümmern die hier bei Dohnhausen 2 aufschlägt.

Sehr lecker hier, Riesen Portionen - man sollte genug Hunger mit nehmen 😄 Schöne aussenterasse. Von hier aus kann man auch sehr gut wandern.

Durchschittsrestaurant für eine schnelle Mahlzeit auf der Durchreise optimal.

We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. De inrichting is verouderd, maar het eten maakt dat ruimschoots goed. Het eten werd leuk geserveerd en was een flinke portie (zie foto's). Enige minpunten waren dat mijn vrouw iets anders te drinken nam, maar geen schoon glas daarvoor kreeg. Verder zijn er geen openingstijden bekend. Ook bij het restaurant zelf staan ze niet vermeld. Vandaar 4 in plaats van 5 sterren.
