Oi, joi, joi… it’s good here!! I would prefer to give a bad review so that there is always a table available for me. But that would be a lie. I just come an extra 30km here. A quaint restaurant. Without shi-shi, like it was in my youth. Nothing more is needed. The food is unsurpassedly delicious. Grandma still cooks here and the grandson serves. Perfect! The best Swabian cuisine and a comfortable evening. The soups are homemade and hot. My tip: The roast pork!! Tender and with great sauce and homemade spaetzle. If you still have room, you have to try the Kaiserschmarrn. Thanks again to grandma! You can't cook better. (The potato salad!!!) The toilets are a small minus, but who cares about the kitchen... Please stay like that!! Don't change anything!!

I have never eaten so badly in the last 20 years. We were there with 8 people. It took over 60 minutes from taking the order to serving it. The food came with a delay. The food was presented very carelessly (just placed on one corner of the table and we had to hand it to ourselves) and served. The last person only got the food when everyone else had already finished eating. The side salads were prepared very differently, one had beetroot and the other had red cabbage etc. Salad dressing was missing everywhere and it just didn't taste like anything. The salad plate was just a little bigger. The Kaiserschmarrn was the biggest outrage ever. It looked like scrambled eggs and was drowned in fat, neither sweet nor well done rather fried. The schnitzels were perfectly fried. My pork medallions with spaetzle and mushroom sauce only tasted like rancid old burnt fat. Some of the mushrooms were still raw inside and drowned in fat. The medallions tasted sour. The spaetzle was greasy and burnt. My stomach emptied itself into the toilet at home after about 45 minutes. The innkeeper had a hard time adding up the order and asked the children to do the math on their cell phones. Once and never again.

We were there with the family, the floor to the toilets leaves a lot to be desired. There were stains on the wall and it also smelled extremely bad. The women's toilet was relatively okay, the floor wasn't clean but otherwise usable. The food was simply a complete disgrace, not only that a portion was completely forgotten to be served and was only served after an hour of waiting, but also the timing. While the first person was almost finished eating, mine arrived just a few minutes later. The worst food I've ever eaten! The Kaiserschmarren was simply disgusting, there was no sugar at all and it was already floating around in the fat, the inside was still raw dough. The cordon bleu was very difficult to cut but edible. The fries were somewhat ok. The schnitzel was just as difficult to cut. the “big” salad plate is not worth the 10€! There was no salt, pepper or vinegar and it tasted completely like water. The size of the salad is almost the same size as the salad you get as a side dish, only there is a little more potato salad. The pork medallions were pure horror, they just tasted like old burnt fat and oily, as if they had been made in the pan in which everything was fried for 20 years. The spaetzle tasted fatty and just burnt. Overall just disgusting and not recommended.

Special location but delicious and inexpensive food

The food tasted good. The salad plate is an outrage. It's barely bigger than the side salad. The service is a total disaster. Our table was occupied by 6 people. The dishes were served at a long interval. The landlord was not very friendly and completely overwhelmed. Many dishes were already out today (Monday). It was very cold in the dining room. The tiled stove, which had been lit recently, barely brought any heat to our table. We won't be coming back again. This is not how you treat your guests.

We actually wanted to have lunch here, but the hallway and the toilet alone made us leave. 🤢 There was urine on the floor of the men's toilet and there was simply a hole in the wall. A sink was blocked (there was wastewater in it) and the faucet was missing. The hallway wasn't in a good condition either and it didn't smell good.

But at this restaurant everything was different! 😍 Although I don't really remember the taste of the food (it was seven days ago), I can say one thing for sure: it was an evening that I will always look back on fondly. The ambience was beautiful, the atmosphere was simply perfect. Even though we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table despite making a reservation at 8 p.m., the service made up for it all. 🕰️💁‍♂️ The service was friendly, attentive and made us feel welcome. The food came quickly, was fresh and exceeded our expectations. 🍽️✨ We're happy to make the hour-plus journey again next week - I haven't been this satisfied and happy after visiting a restaurant in a long time. This restaurant really did everything right! 🥂🎉 Thank you for an unforgettable evening – I’m already looking forward to the next time! 👏🏼

Very warm staff makes you forget the simple atmosphere. The meals were okay. Price/performance match. We were invited to a birthday party, it was a bit chaotic but as I said, very warm.

We haven't been served so kindly in a long time! Simply great. And the food was also great - the price/performance ratio was totally right. Another restaurant like you want it to be.

The pork medallion was quite large. Unfortunately, based on the taste, I suspected that the sauce was flavored with alcohol. This should also be described as such in the menu. Service was nice and friendly. Unfortunately the tables weren't that clean. Dirty tablecloths.

Such restaurants have become really rare these days. Great food, very tasty, enormous portions, relatively cheap prices. The service staff is well trained and very friendly. The ambience impresses with its rustic charm. There were four of us as guests, we had cream schnitzel, salads, soups, cordon bleu and pork medallions with mushrooms, and as a result we were all stuffed and very satisfied. Located almost directly at the castle, absolute five stars

Sensationally delicious food, served quickly, large portions and friendly staff. A typical, rustic restaurant where you can get delicious German home cooking. We'd love to come back when we're nearby.

The food is very tasty and prepared quickly. The lunch menu for 9.50 euros, which includes soup and salad, is particularly worth it. The beer was good and cold. However, the portions could be larger, I wasn't full. The ambience in the restaurant was also nice. Since there are only a few tables available, it is better to make a reservation.

Small traditional German restaurant with delicious local cuisine, very reasonably priced and friendly staff. The portions were quite big! It doesn’t get better than that! We will be back. There is a parking lot right across the street.

This restaurant is not recommended, it's better to avoid it. Staff totally unfriendly, the food was cold when it arrived after the complaint, only lukewarm. My wife's meat was still half raw (lenchen). I won't go to these restaurants again, even one star is way too much

Home cooking that also tastes good. Friendly service. A daily lunch for €10. Parking spaces are available and a real tiled stove warms you in the cold season. “Unfortunately” rocky music plays from the cheapest speakers. That doesn't fit with the otherwise harmonious ambience.

A great Swabian kitchen with delicious food. The innkeeper is funny and if you want to experience Swabia, this is the place for you. There are also guest rooms and a shared room with 5 beds, ideal for a larger family.

Unfortunately, the food was mediocre, with spices and salt missing everywhere. Despite the question, the onion roast was well done and not medium and the onions were only boiled and not fried. The home-brewed beer was very good.

It was our first time at Hirschbraü and our expectations were not disappointed. The premises are not modern, but rather a typical brewery restaurant. The food (Cordon Bleu and Kaiserschmarren) was good and recommended. Service impeccable and will visit the restaurant again at any time.

Spaetzle with sooooß, salad plate. Jessas, such a real village restaurant. Mega spaetzle/knöpfle, homemade potato salad. Respect. If you like that and are in the area, you have to come here. PS: I didn't try the beer.

Simply fantastic!!! We were completely impressed by the Bavarian-Swabian restaurant. The food was incredibly delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. An absolute insider tip that we can only warmly recommend. Five stars are more than deserved here :)

We'll definitely go there again. We happened to be out and about and were looking for something delicious for the children too! There were a little more waiting times, but as I understood it, some people were on vacation and someone was sick. That means 1 waiter for everyone. He was super friendly, funny despite all the stress. This can happen anywhere and the food was delicious! I can't deduct 1 star for the waiting time, it was too great! 😊🍀

Lured by the positive reviews, we visited the restaurant with our two little ones. Everything the others have already reported is true, warm and personal welcome, good cuisine, large portions, correct prices, good atmosphere. The world is still in order here and people have rarely been served so well. We had beef roulade (homemade), roast beef and the children had fries, followed by a kaiserschmarrn shared between the four of us! Of course I drank the home-brewed beer. Everything tip top. We thank you for the great evening, IF we are in the corner again one day... we'll come over!

Yesterday we spontaneously visited with the children. We had three different main courses and a portion of spaetzle with sauce, and a Kaiserschmarrn for dessert for everyone to share. We were all absolutely satisfied! The service was super friendly, the portions were reasonable and the beer was excellent. The children left nothing behind... A big compliment!

It was the only place where I felt like I was at home... after 4 days spent all over the Romantische Stasse being treated badly and being told that we couldn't stay with strollers because they take up space.... What a business shit..... Then on our way back we came across this place... what can I say, I can't find the words to thank them for how they treated us ❤️❤️❤️ then a special thanks to the girl who also spoke Italian so she solved the problem of dinner for the our children....

When I asked in a friendly manner whether we could sit outside, I was greeted by the visibly stressed waitress. No, she's alone, she's not going to ruin herself... She then assigned us a table inside, right in front of her counter , where we sat for about 10 minutes, but were completely ignored. I know from my friends how difficult it is to get useful staff, especially for service, but what this woman pulled off was really out of the ordinary. Despite the stress, it's important to maintain a certain tone and the guest is still king. Apparently not with the deer, so we'll never see this place again, it's a shame I would have liked to try the in-house beer 🤷‍♂️

We went there on the recommendation of our landlady (holiday apartment). The food was very good, we had cream schnitzel and the children had fries with bratwurst and fries with schnitzel. Our son said, "It wasn't tasty......it was super tasty"😊 Gladly again

Very bad service ordered 3 meals. These came one at a time, every 15 minutes. Waiting time for the last meal was a total of 60 minutes. Salad with Kässpätzle came 15 minutes after the Kässpätzle.. Ketchup for schnitzel had to be ordered 3 times.

We had homemade potato pancakes, cordon bleu and onion roast. Damn good, so delicious. We'll definitely remember the Hirschbräu 💯 😃. ***** Addendum 07/07/24: Because of our satisfaction 3 days before, we returned. Unfortunately we weren't really happy today. Schnitzel and Cordon Bleu are no longer baked in the pan, but in the deep fryer 🙁. A really serious difference, a real shame! The pork fillet with mushrooms and the side salad were the only highlights. Such fluctuations in quality are serious! We'd better not talk about the sanitary facilities now! 🫣

Went here for dinner on our last day of vacation and actually wanted to spend a nice evening, unfortunately the many mosquitoes thwarted our plans, and the "beer garden" wasn't as cozy as we expected from a restaurant with its own brewery (backyard feeling ). It seems that the restaurant is a bit old - unfortunately, because the food was good and the service did its best. Also worth mentioning is the in-house beer, which I personally enjoyed very much

I would prefer to give 0 stars. We had to wait 20 minutes for drinks and we only get food when we sit in because there is no staff available. Then the lady who brought us the drinks sits down at the table next to us and smokes a smoke. Not recommendable. I don't understand all the positive comments at all.
