Gaststätte Goldner Stern in Hessisch Lichtenau

I've rarely eaten such a good, spicy "firefighter schnitzel." Very, very tasty. The place is simple, but that's exactly how it should be here in the countryside. The owner is warm and hardworking; she rocks the place. All in all, definitely worth a visit if you're here in Hessisch Lichtenau.

The Ratskeller was highly recommended, but has been closed since the end of February due to the city administration's own needs.

Food, top-notch conditions, top-notch I think nothing more needs to be said.

Anyone who likes modern frills will be disappointed here. However, anyone who likes good, home-style food, 'which has become quite rare,' will feel right at home here. We were greeted very warmly with a smile, "which has also become rare." Sooo... and now to the actual topic (FOOD).... Awesome. Overwhelmingly good. The portions were very good and very tasty. We had schnitzel with fries, which is more than enough for one person... enough to fill you up :-). And it was also super delicious. The salad dressing knocks your socks off. Awesome. But now for the amazing Argentinian rump steak, which was absolutely amazing, by far the tastiest rump steak I've eaten in years. MY HUGE COMPLIMENT. A huge portion, and those onions that came with it as a side dish, made my palate explode. Combined with the fried potatoes, it was a superbly well-rounded experience. The rump steak was quite large, so it wasn't a tiny portion. The price was very fair and the timing was right. Conclusion: I can recommend it to anyone who values good food more than interior design. Don't get me wrong! Everything fits together perfectly. Thanks to the Waldhorn team.

The community center offers absolutely delicious food – both in the restaurant and at buffet events. The portions are generous, the food is fresh and very flavorful. Highly recommended!
