Delicious food. Very, very friendly service! Lovely atmosphere.

Only discovered by chance but the food is super tasty, large portions and absolutely fair priced. When my son plays football in Wendelstein again, we will definitely go there again.

Very good Franconian cuisine, even the salad was amazing. (: The staff often asked at appropriate times if everything was okay or if we wanted something to drink. The prices seem high, but that's probably just the way things are...

Went there with 20 people for my son's birthday. Arranging for everyone to sit together (outside) shouldn't have been a big problem. We took matters into our own hands, and it was fine, let's just say! Then everything went relatively quickly with the drinks, and the food was also good. The food isn't exactly cheap, but the quality is excellent – ​​kudos to the kitchen! The ambiance is getting a bit dated, but that's less important to me. The service was a bit rude to us at first, but over time, a very nice younger woman rescued us (who was then assigned to us). I think it would work even better if we came with fewer guests. Otherwise, you can't complain; it was very tasty.

Once again, we had a very good meal. We've never been disappointed here.

The beer garden was nice, the food was unfortunately only average, but as always, it was a matter of taste. I didn't think the price/performance ratio was right. The side salad was commendable. The service was overwhelmed, perhaps due to the age of the staff. Despite repeated requests (three times) for an additional salad, it was simply ignored and not served... What a shame!

Our trip was supposed to be crowned with a meal, home-style according to Google, and the anticipation was huge. Unfortunately, we were greeted shortly after 7 p.m. with the words "we're not doing anything else today" from afar! That's another way! The initial contact and service were unfortunately disappointing. Be sure to call ahead. Easy to reach, good location by the water, centrally located with parking.

The food at the Golden Heart is delicious and the prices are good to reasonable. However, the older waitress with glasses is a real scarecrow. We were in a large group that day and we were laughing. As the lady walked past our table and said, "My goodness, you're so loud," she rolled her eyes in annoyance. As we left, we were dismissed with the words, "Finally, some peace and quiet here!" If you want to enjoy a social gathering in a restaurant or pub, you might want to consider your options beforehand. There are a few other restaurants in the area. Otherwise, as described, delicious food and (still) fair prices.

The food was very good. The service was businesslike. A table in the garden was set for 12:30 p.m. It was a nice gathering. We were asked if we wanted dessert right after dinner. We wanted to wait a bit longer. Then the waitress came back for the second time and asked if she wanted to take the payment. Yes, we would like to order ice cream now, but that's no longer possible. Since the new guests were expected from 1 p.m. (The second location) is what she called it. So all the tables change guests from 1 p.m. onwards. We felt a bit thrown out. We paid and left. That's unacceptable. We weren't informed of this when we made the reservation. It's a shame we won't be coming again.

So I can't recommend it; you have to sit outside. Even if it's cold.

We dined at your restaurant again yesterday, May 4th, 2025, and your kitchen has raised the bar even higher than our last visit. The redfish was cooked to a perfect translucent golden brown, your remoulade was divine, and the two steaks served with the onion roast beef were cooked to perfection, despite our different orders (medium and medium-rare). The only one of the few restaurants open on Monday lunchtime. At the end of April there was no seating outside despite the summer weather. Inside, the room is designed in an old-fashioned style. The service was quite matter-of-fact and struck me as a bit reserved when it came to strangers. I can praise the quality of the food. I enjoyed the roast lamb. The beer is also recommended. There’s Püls Bräuraus Weismain (that’s in Upper Franconia near Kulmbach). Cheers!

Very tasty Franconian cuisine. We had a champion cream schnitzel, pork chop and wiener schnitzel, 3 large and a small drink. The food is good, home-style and very tasty. Free parking spaces available in front of the restaurant. The price is a bit high.

Very quaint, older restaurant. The service was very good and very friendly. The food was average. Not bad, but not special either. The schnitzel tasted very greasy and was extremely thick. Maybe I'll try something different.

We were here for a birthday, very good food. However, the service that evening left a lot to be desired. I can't say what it was. The service seemed overwhelmed and we were asked to finish drinking at around 10 o'clock. In addition, there was no more dessert after 9 a.m. Everything wouldn't be so bad if it had been pointed out beforehand.

Restaurant directly on the Schwarzach, in a great location. Conditions were friendly. My Schäuferle was extremely, really good. My husband said his roast veal was nice and tender and super tasty. That's why a full 5 🌟 and 10 additional stars from each of us 🌟. Highly recommended!

We are regular guests at the Golden Heart, which we consider to be one of the best restaurants in the area when it comes to Franconian cuisine. The food is excellent, the price-performance ratio is perfect, and a big thank you also to the friendly staff! We always recommend the restaurant to friends and acquaintances, and they are always thrilled too. Of course, we understand that due to the shortage of skilled workers it is not always easy to get a table because otherwise the team cannot keep up. Nevertheless: We are always happy to come back to you. Stay as great as you are!

Very nice welcome, a high chair was brought for the little one, food was brought very quickly, everything was very tasty, fresh salad and very plentiful. The waitresses are all very friendly and always available to say something. When the weather is good there is also a cozy beer garden right on the water. Definitely recommended.

Food was good, but the cleanliness of the room left something to be desired. There were cobwebs everywhere under the chairs.

We arrived on Sunday, we were hungry, the program was until 22:00, but at 20:00 I had a kitchen, we came back the next day in the afternoon, the waiter was not like a restaurant, the staff were rude, as if they were angry that we had come here, the food is acceptable, there is a restaurant not far away, they are much nicer !!

Unfortunately we weren't able to eat here, even though everything inside is free. According to the staff, there is no service inside and unfortunately there was no space available outside, only if a reservation had been made in advance, so unfortunately we had to leave. It's a shame that you don't want to make money here!

The restaurant actually looked very inviting from the outside. We arrived today (Whit Monday) shortly after 1:00 p.m. We sat down at a free table. The extremely grumpy waitress didn't pay any attention to us at first and then came to our table and said that we couldn't eat here if we hadn't made a reservation because the tables were reserved twice. There were at least five tables free. I've never experienced anything like this before. Absolute impudence!!!!

I can highly recommend it, there is something for everyone, including a little more choice for vegetarians. Ambiance outside and inside very nice, quick service and so far short waiting times.

Very friendly service and very good food (had cabbage wraps, Viennese style schnitzel with fries and baked redfish fillet with potato salad). We were very satisfied with every dish, and the portions were also generous. A big compliment to the kitchen. The gas room is also very nice.

Unfortunately, we were not informed that we could only be there on Christmas Day from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We only found out about this when we ordered dessert and were then told we only had 10 minutes left. This information would have been important when making the reservation. Food was ok. Frozen porcini mushrooms don't work at all, they don't taste like anything and the consistency isn't nice. The ambience is also very rustic and a bit old. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed with the quality and taste of the food.

We had Sauerbraten and Schäuferle to take away, so I can only rave about it, absolutely top, nice, fast service and I hope you stay around for a long time

I can only recommend it - good Franconian food. Only the dumplings are not my thing. These are very soft, I like the dumpling rather firm. But I don't want to question this kind of dumpling, it's not my case. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Wir sind speziell zum Schnitzel essen dort hin weil die einfach lecker sind und der Kartoffelsalat hervorragend. Das Personal, obwohl erst einige Tage wegen Urlaub geschlossen war, war sehr kurz angebunden und unfreundlich, daran könnte man arbeiten. Das Ambiente schlicht und es war kalt in der Wirtsstube, das hatte ich so noch nicht erlebt, war unangenehm, vielleicht aber den Schließtagen vorher zuzuschreiben. Wenn ich dort Essen abhole finde ich, dass die Damen freundlicher sind.

Gut bürgerliche Küche mit fränkischen Spezialitäten

Unsere Radtour hat uns heute das erste Mal in diese Wirtschaft gesteuert, obwohl wir seit über 30 Jahren im Nachbarort Feucht wohnen. Das Edelwildragout war super. Gutes Preis - Leistungsverhältnis und nettes, aufmerksames Personal. Kommen bestimmt bald mit der Familie vorbei.

Also......endlich hab ich es g'schafft....im goldenen Herz zu essen. Lebe ja mittlerweile ja in Rheinland-Pfalz und wenn ich in der Heimat bin um die Oma zu besuchen sollte es Karpfen, Schäufala oder Hax'n sein. Diesmal war es Leber mit Kartoffelbrei,Äpfel+Zwiebeln Meine Oma hatte Pfiffer mit Kräuterrührei und was mich voll begeistert hat 🍺 aus WEISMAIN💪 Es war total subber legger :-) und das Schwätzchen mit dem Chef nach Jahrzehnten sooo schee. Alles Gute weiterhin für Fam. Stahl + Team, ich komm wieder und die Oma+Tante haben es eh net so weit. Adela bis zum nächsten moal 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️

Das Essen war einfach grandios, wir hatten als Vorspeise Suppen und danach Schnitzel nach Wiener Art, Leber und den Sauerbraten... alles nur zum empfehlen, die Salate so schön angerichtet und mariniert. Die Kellnerinnen waren sehr freundlich und unglaublich flott unterwegs. Obwohl eine größere Gesellschaft anwesend war, haben wir unser Essen sehr rasch bekommen. Sollten wir wieder einmal in diese Gegend kommen, kommen wir ganz bestimmt wieder!

Der Service ist super, aber es gibt ein Problem, der Tisch und die Stühle sind sehr klebrig.

Essen sehr lecker. Leider war es recht kalt im Restaurant. Auch könnte es ein wenig liebevoller eingerichtet werden Aber Essen und Service super.

Leckeres Essen und eine flotte Bedienung!

Wieder einmal waren wir mit unsere Wandergruppe unterwegs und machten heute in Wendelstein in der Gaststätte "Goldenes Herz" Rast. Eins vorweg ... wenn ihr einen Besuch dort plant UNBEDINGT vorher nen Platz reservieren ansonsten sind die Chancen auf einen Platz eher gering ... spricht ja ganz klar für die Gaststätte. Und das kann ich auch absolut bestätigen. Angefangen vom sehr netten und aufmerksamen Personal über eine gut bestückten Speisekarte, welche wohl keine Wünsche offen lassen sollte, bis hin zu einem richtig feinen Essen. Dieses mal hatte ich panierte Austernpilze, welche mit einem Remouladen-Dip und einem Beilagensalat serviert wurden. Das Essen kam für alle sechs Personen relativ schnell (ok, wir waren um kurz vor 11:30 Uhr aber auch die ersten Kunden dort) und jeder war rundum sehr zufrieden. Es waren meine ersten Austernpilze aber bestimmt nicht die letzten, ganz besonders wenn wir mal wieder ins "Goldene Herz" kommen. Eine weitere Gaststätte die ich bestem Gewissens jedem weiterempfehlen kann.

Sauber, ordentlich, korrekt. Preisleistung passt, ein ordentliches Schnitzel und gute Pommes. Gutes Bier und herrlicher Saft. Gut gemischter frischer Salat.

Schönes fränkisches Restaurant, mit noch angenehmen Preisen. Wir sind gut bedient worden und es war dazu auch noch lecker. Was man nicht schafft und mit nach Hause nehmen möchte, wird gut eingepackt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder 👍

Waren mit 15 Personen + 3 Kids an Heilig-Drei-König nach einer Wanderung um Wendelstein eingekehrt und hatten fast alle fränkischen Gerichte auf dem Tisch. Alles sehr, sehr lecker, schnell - und freundlich unkompliziert. Gerne wieder am 6.1.24, oder früher.
