Very good food, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, large free parking lot.

I looked online to see who was open until 10 p.m. I drove to Hildburghausen, but they didn't serve food until 9:30 p.m. The waiter sent me away because there was no more food.

Absolutely. The food is great, with large portions. The service is very friendly.

In August 2021, we stopped by the Wacholderschänke on short notice...what a surprise. Luckily, we got a seat and then enjoyed the food!!! The evening was so lovely that we'll be back with friends. Thank you very much! Update - On June 17, 2022, we went to the Irish evening. Great music, as always, delicious food, and we even got to smoke a nice cigar from the in-house humidor. We'll be back!!! On September 23, 2022, we had another meal with friends...As before, the food is simply amazing! Since the live band was at the market that evening (Hildburghausen Lights Up), Mr. Traut spontaneously played some piano music for us to sing along to. What great service. We'll be back! After a long enforced break, we returned on Friday, September 1, 2023. What can I say, still top-notch dining!!! Great service, absolutely delicious food, and the live music, unbeatable. Many thanks to Ms. Schmidt and her colleagues. See you soon... (Many greetings to Peter too) Update: On August 2, 2024, we were with friends for a very nice evening... top-notch service, the chef comes through the "rows" and asks about the quality... I think that's nice. We'll definitely be back!!!! Update: We were there again on June 6, 2025 for the music evening... Many thanks to the four musicians, many songs from our youth... what a feast for the ears, the great food almost became secondary. We'll definitely be back, see you at the Sonneberg "Spiellust" at the latest.
