I can't judge the food and service because we only took a short break with drinks. But the prices are already very high. Cola 0.4 = €6.40, apple spritzer 0.4 = €6.80, that's highway robbery in my opinion. Won't be coming back here again...

After we had waited an hour for our food, other guests who had arrived after us had already finished their ordered dishes, we didn't even apologize for the fact that we had been forgotten. When we asked, there was no apology, only the sentence that the kitchen has to take a break and the Rostbrätel has to be finished after all. In addition, the same service staff who had already brought us drinks and cutlery asked in astonishment who served us something

Nice little, quaint restaurant. Very nice and flexible staff. Good German-bourgeois cuisine with a touch of modernity. It is located directly on the Saale cycle path. I recommend calling and making a reservation a few days in advance for weekends and holidays. The cress soup is highly recommended.

If I could I would give 0 stars. We wanted to have dinner there for two and couldn't get a seat despite there being free tables. And no, these were not reserved, but rather chained and not covered. Too bad! And when you asked, you got a mushy answer.

We had a salad, one with shrimp and one with chicken breast. Both were disappointing because the lettuce wasn't fresh, the tomatoes were already mushy and tasted like fermented onions. The shrimps were excellently fried and the chicken was also fresh, but we still had peeled Easter eggs on the salad, which unfortunately had strong traces of red and blue color (Thursday after Easter) Question: why do you do something like that? Shame about the shrimp and chicken. The staff was friendly and nice.

Stopped here spontaneously on my bike and my special request for trout with asparagus and fried potatoes was fulfilled without any problem 😄 The sun terrace directly on the Saale is very nice. I would come again.

There is one star for the great location and one star for the 'solid' food. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right. For 23-24 euros for a fish dish, the portions were too small and the quality wasn't good enough (frozen vegetables). Biggest drawback: the service. At first he was ok, although not particularly friendly. But if, after a long wait, you turn your back on a friendly request for the bill, including a wave of your hand and a grumbled "Not now, I have to go to the kitchen first," then you will unfortunately regret your visit and will definitely not come back.

Been here on Easter Monday. Open until 3 p.m. according to opening times. We were there at 2:15 p.m. Unfortunately we were told that it would be closed soon and we wouldn't get anything anymore... Service very unfriendly.

Today, on Easter Sunday 2025, rather disappointing. The choice of food is limited to a minimum, the high prices are understandable for Saalewiesen, but it would have been nice if you had the information when making a reservation that there is only 1/3 of the normal menu. The selection of fish in particular was poor and 2 veggie dishes + less than 10 fish and meat is a shame for the holiday. We know that better from you.

The food is soft, greasy and hardly seasoned. I had the walleye. It was ok in itself but the pasta was more like in the school canteen. Soft and tasteless. The lemon sauce related category. The salad with turkey breast was ok. Quality and taste are at the lower end of the spectrum. Otherwise a nice place and friendly staff.

Hello. I'll briefly describe how I was invited to a celebration there. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is right. What doesn't fit at all is the prices are far too expensive for the conditions in our region and there's not much on the plate. I also think the drinks and ice cream are far too expensive. But that's my or our opinion. Other guests may see it differently, but of course we don't. In the end, MC filled us up. All the best to the Fischaushaus team, but we won't be coming back.

If you like fish and are nearby, you should definitely stop by. On Sundays, it's best to reserve a table. During the week, it's not necessary. We went there twice. The food was delicious 😋 😋

Today was our second time there. Last year, the food was so amazing—great value for money. It was delicious, and everything was excellent. Today, we left after checking the menu. Potatoes with quark and a small side salad were €15.90, solyanka was €10... It's the same across the entire menu. No thanks, not to mention the fish prices. Unfortunately, we're out of there.

We stopped in because of the many good reviews and the location. Since I was pretty cold, I ordered a cup of mulled wine. I wasn't asked for a new drink with my meal. I ordered the catfish. The vegetables were cold and frozen, the potatoes lukewarm. Neither had seen any salt. The fish was hot. The portions weren't too generous compared to other restaurants. At the next table, a couple had chosen starters and main courses. The waitress came to the table with a starter and a main course. When we pointed out that they had both ordered starters, she said she would have to check again and simply left the main course on the table. An absolute disgrace! The missing starter was brought out later, but not eaten, as we were forced to choose what we wanted hot. The service at other tables was also uncoordinated. It's a shame, as the place actually looks very appealing. The food, however, is not worth the money. If you change the side dish, you pay an additional €1.50, which I can't understand if the kitchen is well prepared.

The prices are AWESOME! For a glass of Cola (400 ml) you want €6.40! The passing guests (cyclists and hikers) look at this once and then never come back. In any case, it was the last time I was there! Too bad! Now I know why there are no prices listed on the online map! The Gasthaus “Zur Henne” will be happy, it tastes great there and the prices are okay and the service is also good. Also located on the Saale cycle path.

There is a hospitality "institution" in a very beautiful location, which, however, also reflects the frustration of the catering industry: For over a year now, the motto "Offer hospitality, seek the distance..." has been emblazoned on the facade... It remains to be hoped that the fish house will soon find a successor who will once again put his heart and soul into it and not with inner resignation.

Despite having a reservation, we first got a cat table between things that had been left on the ledge, after we didn't want it and wanted to leave, we got one in the restaurant, which made a very nice impression, the food was okay.

It's good that a new operator has been found. This way we can continue to come regularly.

We had never booked a table at the Fischhaus ourselves. But we still went there a few times because we were invited. We never really felt comfortable there, even though the food had been satisfactory "so far." What we experienced today, on Boxing Day, surpassed all negative records we had ever experienced. The restaurant was packed with guests because they had made two passes. My relatives had booked the second round for 1:30 p.m. for 7 people. A table on the ground floor was expressly ordered a long time in advance because our elderly dog ​​has difficulty climbing stairs. First, despite being punctual, we stood outside for 20 minutes because there was absolute chaos inside due to the number of guests. When we finally got inside and were assigned a table, it was on the first floor, contrary to our booking. Complaints were ignored in a not very friendly way. The only positive aspect was that the service was quick and friendly despite being overloaded. The food was not worth the price of over €20. I had a so-called schnitzel with croquettes and cauliflower. It wasn't seasoned and the so-called schnitzel was small and almost as thin as a breaded slice of sausage. My request to have fries instead of croquettes was rudely rejected because the kitchen was overloaded. Because of the amount, we were hardly full. The other relatives also complained. that nothing was seasoned properly. Overall, this was an absolute failure. We hope we never get invited there again as there are plenty of decent restaurants in the area.

No comparison to previous years, where the most delicious food was served. The prices are too high for the small portions. The “Creme Brulee” for €6.50 comes out of the bag. I hope the operators take the reviews here seriously! The tradition of the fish house alone doesn't help. Bad food = fewer/no guests. Card payment is now possible!

The waitress was very unfriendly and couldn't even remember the order correctly. The food wasn't great either, the rump steak consisted of more fat and cartilage and the chicken felt like a chick. And that for prices that are quite steep. Unfortunately not recommended.

After a tour of the Schulpforte monastery, we stopped there. The weather was still nice and we sat outside. The catfish fillet was very good. The restaurant is located directly on the river and there is also a pier for those traveling by canoe.

Service not very friendly and typically designed for quick mass processing. Food was ok, but not a highlight and very expensive (monopoly at the location). Only CASH payment possible, how can something like that still be possible these days?

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. As soon as I sat down, I wanted to leave again. It was my mother's birthday and she wanted to go to a fish restaurant. All right, close your eyes and get through it! On the table the candlestick and the part with the supporters were totally dusty. It's really not good to sit on the benches. Very uncomfortable. The facility is simply getting old. The food was subpar. The roasted potatoes were barely fried and had no color. The onions on the roasted meat were the same, no roasted aromas. They were still raw and the meat was like rubber. My mom had fish. It was ok, only the lemon sauce was hollondaise sauce from the prepackaged with a little lemon on it. And my daughter had a fried schnitzel with canned mushrooms and cream. The service wasn't great either. You really don't have to have it again. It's really a shame, you could do more with it

We went on a canoe tour and stopped here because it was good for landing and getting out. We got a table outside straight away. Ordering was quick. The egg tarts were great, in terms of taste, appearance and price. The Thuringian Rostbrätel with roasted potatoes, on the other hand, was not convincing in terms of taste. The meat wasn't cooked through and the roasted potatoes just missed the pan.

Very good location on the Saale. Bike path goes through the outdoor area and canoe dock directly in front of the restaurant. The food was okay and the service also made an effort.

Very nice corner. You can also get Federweissen without wanting to eat it. Beautiful vineyard hiking beyond the Saale bridge there. I didn't see fish - which you might suspect - on the menu (1 star minus).

Trout is offered in three different versions and what a surprise, the bones were very cleverly removed, you couldn't see it because the head was still on. Catfish and zander are also recommended. We were guests at the fish house as part of a hike. Idyllic and easy to reach, located directly on the Saale cycle path and equipped with many places. Parking spaces are right in front of the door and can also be easily reached via an asphalt road from the direction of Schulpforta. From ordering to eating it took less than 10 minutes and even though it was packed, it was great! And it tasted good too! Toilets are available and were clean. Access to the restaurant is barrier-free, but unfortunately access to the terrace on the Saale is not. Card payment was not possible during our visit. It's probably like that more often. You have to know and always have enough cash with you, otherwise you have to wash the dishes :)

Beautifully located on the Saale as a rest area for cyclists. Be careful: the innkeepers only accept cash payments. We were there with several people and ordered various fish dishes. The vegetable side dishes are prepared there with Hollandaise sauce, not to everyone's taste.
