Gaststätte Fischhaus in Naumburg (Saale)

Despite having a reservation, we first got a cat table between things that had been left on the ledge, after we didn't want it and wanted to leave, we got one in the restaurant, which made a very nice impression, the food was okay.

It's good that a new operator has been found. This way we can continue to come regularly.

We had never booked a table at the Fischhaus ourselves. But we still went there a few times because we were invited. We never really felt comfortable there, even though the food had been satisfactory "so far." What we experienced today, on Boxing Day, surpassed all negative records we had ever experienced. The restaurant was packed with guests because they had made two passes. My relatives had booked the second round for 1:30 p.m. for 7 people. A table on the ground floor was expressly ordered a long time in advance because our elderly dog ​​has difficulty climbing stairs. First, despite being punctual, we stood outside for 20 minutes because there was absolute chaos inside due to the number of guests. When we finally got inside and were assigned a table, it was on the first floor, contrary to our booking. Complaints were ignored in a not very friendly way. The only positive aspect was that the service was quick and friendly despite being overloaded. The food was not worth the price of over €20. I had a so-called schnitzel with croquettes and cauliflower. It wasn't seasoned and the so-called schnitzel was small and almost as thin as a breaded slice of sausage. My request to have fries instead of croquettes was rudely rejected because the kitchen was overloaded. Because of the amount, we were hardly full. The other relatives also complained. that nothing was seasoned properly. Overall, this was an absolute failure. We hope we never get invited there again as there are plenty of decent restaurants in the area.

Great location for a stop on the Wein-Weg on the Saale.

Unfortunately the quality of the food has declined. You can “taste” the change of ownership. Too bad. The food comes quickly, but is carelessly cooked. No comparison to previous years, where the most delicious food was served. The prices are too high for the small portions. The “Creme Brulee” for €6.50 comes out of the bag. I hope the operators take the reviews here seriously! The tradition of the fish house alone doesn't help. Bad food = fewer/no guests. Card payment is now possible!

The waitress was very unfriendly and couldn't even remember the order correctly. The food wasn't great either, the rump steak consisted of more fat and cartilage and the chicken felt like a chick. And that for prices that are quite steep. Unfortunately not recommended.

Always worth a visit. We love meeting there and then walking a bit along the Saale. The food is great, the service is very friendly and always ready to fulfill your wishes.

After a tour of the Schulpforte monastery, we stopped there. The weather was still nice and we sat outside. The catfish fillet was very good. The restaurant is located directly on the river and there is also a pier for those traveling by canoe.

Service not very friendly and typically designed for quick mass processing. Food was ok, but not a highlight and very expensive (monopoly at the location). Only CASH payment possible, how can something like that still be possible these days?

Cozy restaurant right on the water. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right. Way too much money for the small portions and the wine and other drinks, way too expensive.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. As soon as I sat down, I wanted to leave again. It was my mother's birthday and she wanted to go to a fish restaurant. All right, close your eyes and get through it! On the table the candlestick and the part with the supporters were totally dusty. It's really not good to sit on the benches. Very uncomfortable. The facility is simply getting old. The food was subpar. The roasted potatoes were barely fried and had no color. The onions on the roasted meat were the same, no roasted aromas. They were still raw and the meat was like rubber. My mom had fish. It was ok, only the lemon sauce was hollondaise sauce from the prepackaged with a little lemon on it. And my daughter had a fried schnitzel with canned mushrooms and cream. The service wasn't great either. You really don't have to have it again. It's really a shame, you could do more with it

We went on a canoe tour and stopped here because it was good for landing and getting out. We got a table outside straight away. Ordering was quick. The egg tarts were great, in terms of taste, appearance and price. The Thuringian Rostbrätel with roasted potatoes, on the other hand, was not convincing in terms of taste. The meat wasn't cooked through and the roasted potatoes just missed the pan.

Comfortably decorated fish house. Fish was so delicious, I can absolutely recommend it. By the way, there are also some dishes without fish. Tip ! please reserve seats in advance! And very important: take cash with you - card payments are not possible.

Good food, great service on the terrace right on the Saale

Very good location on the Saale. Bike path goes through the outdoor area and canoe dock directly in front of the restaurant. The food was okay and the service also made an effort.

Very nice corner. You can also get Federweissen without wanting to eat it. Beautiful vineyard hiking beyond the Saale bridge there. I didn't see fish - which you might suspect - on the menu (1 star minus).

Short trip to Saale-Unstrut. Craving fish and received this tip from a local winemaker. It is also very well known and popular among hikers and cyclists! Fish platter with a great Scheurebe, from the Frölich-Hake winery (also worth a visit)... delicious! Here you can find home cooking as many people like it!

Old fish house in the truest sense, a pleasure to sit inside and outside. Large selection of fish and dishes of all kinds. Everything plentiful, tasty, fresh and affordable. Can only be recommended. But it's best to go by bike or car, it's too remote on foot.

Had a very tasty lunch. Beautiful outdoor space directly on the Saale. Trout is offered in three different versions and what a surprise, the bones were very cleverly removed, you couldn't see it because the head was still on. Catfish and zander are also recommended. But if you don't like fish, there are also very tasty meat dishes.

The visually somewhat outdated restaurant is located in the middle of the Saale. Ideal as a rest point for hikers and cyclists. The staff were very friendly and you could tell that they got along well with each other. The food was home-style, like “at mother’s”. The portions are generous and nicely prepared. We'll definitely come by again.

Because of the great ambience, you'll be happy to settle down here - but you'll be more than disappointed by both the service and the food.. Omelette for 15 euros made from ready-made potatoes and a bag of eggs.. Convenience par excellence.. when the service arrives you will yelled at with a “friendly” >>Schnitzeeeeel<<. Bottle of wine to go 28 euros, a few meters earlier 12 euros. Without words - never again!

By bike from Naumburg to Bad Kösen on the Saale cycle path, this is the first and, I believe, only restaurant on the way. You look forward to a drink at 30°. Note the rest day!

Very tasty food The young lady was the only one who knew her trade with friendliness and good service.

We were guests at the fish house as part of a hike. Idyllic and easy to reach, located directly on the Saale cycle path and equipped with many places. Parking spaces are right in front of the door and can also be easily reached via an asphalt road from the direction of Schulpforta. From ordering to eating it took less than 10 minutes and even though it was packed, it was great! And it tasted good too! Toilets are available and were clean. Access to the restaurant is barrier-free, but unfortunately access to the terrace on the Saale is not. Card payment was not possible during our visit. It's probably like that more often. You have to know and always have enough cash with you, otherwise you have to wash the dishes :)

Beautifully located on the Saale as a rest area for cyclists. Be careful: the innkeepers only accept cash payments. We were there with several people and ordered various fish dishes. The vegetable side dishes are prepared there with Hollandaise sauce, not to everyone's taste.

Had to wait a very long time for the food, it was not the fault of the lady or the cook, who were both alone unfortunately...

A small but nice restaurant. Arrived by canoe. Prices are high. Food was ready very quickly for 14 people. I assume it was just prepared quickly. Tasty but still very little for the price. Service was top. Very clean and attentive.

I just ordered two beers and an older lady replied: “Not now, it will take 15 to 20 minutes”. And all in one tone, really. There are 3 people behind the counter and 2 more women in service, plus a young girl for the dishes. We're talking about 2 beers here and not a huge order. And the sound makes the music. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The lady should please go into her well-deserved retirement and let younger people do it.

It's always nice to stay here on a hike between Roßbach and Bad Kösen.

The Fischerhaus near Naumburg an der Saale impresses with its picturesque location and cozy atmosphere. The traditional German cuisine, paired with fresh fish dishes, is convincing across the board. The friendly service and the idyllic surroundings make the visit unforgettable. Recommended especially for the wine mile.

Actually a very nice place, but we were on our way to the wine mile on the Saale. So it was very crowded and not really comfortable. There were just simple things that weren't bad.

Were here every year, the food and price have noticeably changed for the worse

Men's Day. 32€ for a bottle of wine. 26€ for 4 glasses of 0.2l? Steak half done, not eating well. The service was a bit unfriendly and it took 4m for a bottle from the fridge.

Unfortunately closed on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024, even though it says "open" everywhere!

Great location on the Saale, the food is great, the service is friendly and accommodating. We have always eaten well here 40 years ago and wish the operators a full house and perseverance in the future.

Great food but unfortunately not for a tight budget and no EC payment possible. The restaurant is really comfortably furnished and the service is very warm and relaxed.

Went here for lunch on Saturday. There were three of us and the restaurant was pretty busy. We ate the Rostbrätel twice and the farmer's breakfast once. Due to the number of people in the restaurant, we expected a longer wait, but we were proven wrong. Quick, friendly service, quickly prepared and extremely tasty food, a return visit is guaranteed!

Were there on Sunday without a reservation. The staff still made it possible for us to eat. Very nice staff and the food is great. Thanks again to the entire team.

Small but fine restaurant... Since this has been around for a long time, you don't need to write that much... Right on the bike path and through the bridge you can get directly to the vineyards on the other side... It's nice to eat here sober 😂 it's the golden mean of the wine mile (the one mockery for beer) Gladly again
