The food was delicious, very large portions. The service was very competent and nice. I felt at home. I recommend it to everyone. You won't be disappointed, I was delighted.

Full marks! It was so good that we ate here for dinner on 2 consecutive days. There were actually several children's meals to choose from - finally something other than just fries and nuggets :-) children's cutlery was also provided. Special requests were also gladly implemented. The service was very attentive, asked several times how it tasted and acted quickly and friendly. When we made our reservation we were told which table we would be sitting at. The choice of food is diverse. We had a total of 8 different dishes, all of which were perfectly prepared and tasted very good. Price-performance very good. The ambience is great. The sanitary facilities are clean. We look forward to our visit next year.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant, we were very disappointed after going there based on the good reviews. The service was annoyed right from the start and when you ordered your drinks you already had the impression that you weren't wanted. (Although the table was reserved by us the evening before) Then we were processed in no time and didn't really have time to read the menu in peace and choose (we were there with 2 children who also just wanted to read and order themselves ). We then chose various dishes that didn't come close to home cooking in the slightest. The Aperol we ordered was also prepared very sparingly. It's a shame, we were really disappointed and won't come back and won't recommend the Bernsteinhexe to anyone.

A bit old-fashioned atmosphere but cozy. The food was very tasty, especially the pork gyros style - super well seasoned. The service was also very nice. What was a little unusual for us was that we had to pay €1 per meal to change from fries to croquettes. We haven't experienced anything like that before. 🤔 And a bowl of chocolate pudding for €3.50 is a bit more expensive, right? All in all, a recommendable restaurant.

Very good menu, have been there several times, the food has always been tasty (there is a wide selection of dishes). The restaurant is not too big, and we recommend booking a table, especially in the evening. The service was always good, the people very friendly.

We have been regular guests here for many years and cannot share some of the negative reviews. Food is completely ok. It tastes good and is a decent portion. You can argue about the price for it, it's getting more expensive everywhere. Ambiance could be changed. The service was friendly and of course had a lot to do. We would come back

As guests, Several times over many years, we have really enjoyed our stay in the “Bernsteinhexe”. Simply a popular tradition of Baltic Sea holidays. The former team was unique, really great. And now this: "But you know that you only have one hour." We weren't even sitting at the table. "You only have 10 minutes left to leave, hurry up." This is probably the most outrageously disgusting thing you have to experience in a restaurant. The “Amber Witch” didn’t deserve that. New operation, musty answers without expertise to inquiries and frightening gestures. Our granddaughter and we still remember earlier, personal, friendly approaches and something “tasty”. It took some time on our part to calm our granddaughter. Like us, she was really looking forward to her stay at the “Bernsteinhexe” and was used to better things. This service and the bad new management only belong in the garbage of the catering industry. You probably want to get “rich” with several short runs. The food we ordered was good, the prices of the drinks were completely outrageous and exorbitant. Unfortunately, it's a shame on our part to go there again. React and think quickly in the “Bernsteinhexe”!

Unfortunately, I have to say that I have never had a meal sold as home cooking that so little deserves the name. Ready canned vegetables just warmed up. The sauce is out of the packet. Got the wrong food (which can happen) but the waitress took the plate away after I said it in annoyance. I got the same plate with the wrong meat again. I ordered a pork steak and no breaded pork. A waiter tried to save it, but that didn't help. I can't recommend this place at all. I had to give it one star.

Rather simple food, nothing special, you won't be blown away by the taste either. An experience you can do without. It's more of a village pub type. It's a shame... One thing that had to be renewed was perhaps the chairs in the outdoor area, from loose screws and rusted chairs to broken chairs, everything was there.

Very nice restaurant with a very great atmosphere. Had the fish plate with seasonal fish, hollandaise sauce and potatoes. My daughter was also very enthusiastic about her currywurst and fries. Friendly staff. Everything was great and can only be recommended.

We went there for dinner for the first time last night. The first, we made a reservation and were told that we only had 1 hour. That really bothered us. But after reading such good reviews, we still wanted to test it. When we arrived we were immediately informed that we only had 1 hour. So ordered food quickly. Pork schnitzel with vegetables and pork schnitzel with cream sauce. Pork schnitzel with cream sauce came half raw and a chicken schnitzel? We complained. The condition was not very friendly and went with the plates. A charred pork schnitzel with canned vegetables came back. My girlfriend gave up the entire meal and I didn't eat the well-done schnitzel either. The waiter tried to apologize but the hunger was over. Conclusion: No home cooking, everything frozen and it has nothing to do with cooking underground for the money. I've never had such bad food before. No recommendation!

Nice little restaurant with good home cooking. We had reserved, which was a good thing, otherwise we wouldn't have gotten a seat. The service staff are very friendly and are happy to recommend food and drinks. Prices are reasonable and the portions are very filling! We can recommend it!

Be sure to reserve in advance!!! Very nice Bernsteinhexen restaurant. Super nice operation and large selection on the memory card. Price performance is completely okay. We had the pork steak with herb butter and parsley potatoes, pork steak with mushroom cream and croquettes and Argentine rump steak with herb butter and fries, plus two Aperol Spritz and a large Sprite. Unfortunately, dessert was no longer good. We'll definitely come here again.

The four of us visited the Amber Witch because of the selection on the map. The dishes (salmon, hamburger schnitzel, steak au four and minced sticks) were tasty and reasonably priced. The witch's potion we made ourselves - unique - was milder than expected. Maybe there are a few too many witches in the guest room, but all in all a clear recommendation that makes the further journey worth it.

A very nice local restaurant, not a long wait and a large portion for little money. This was also very tasty.

Kurzfristige Reservierung hat geklappt.Leider hat man nur 1 Std Zeit zum Verzehr bekommen.Anschliessend wird man nach draußen zitiert damit die nächsten Gäste den warmen Stuhl bekommen.....Also,wer Lust auf Schnellrestaurant hat,geht zur Bernsteinhexe und wer sein Essen und den Abend genießen möchte geht lieber in eines der anderen Lokale, davon gibt es in Koserow zum Glück genug.

Hallo zusammen. Bisher waren wir sehr zufrieden mit Essen, Bedienung und Service. Doch heute wurden wir, obwohl wir nach der Hauptmahlzeit gern noch ein Dessert und Kaffee genommen hätten, nach maximal 1 Stunde uns vorgeschriebener Verweildauer mit den Worten "wenn sie das in 5 Minuten schaffen" hinausdelegiert. So eine Vorgehensweise ist völlig inakzeptabel. Kundenzufriedenheit und Umsatz sollten stets in Einklang stehen. Sehr schade, so verliert man erfolgreich seine Stammkundschaft.

Hello everyone. So far we have been very satisfied with the food, service and service. But today, even though we would have liked to have a dessert and coffee after the main meal, we were delegated out after a maximum of 1 hour of the prescribed stay with the words "if you can do it in 5 minutes". Such an approach is completely unacceptable. Customer satisfaction and sales should always be in harmony. It's a shame, you're successfully losing your regular customers.

Very nice little restaurant with home-style cooking. The facility is a bit older and, as the name suggests, there are lots of witches everywhere. The portions are large and the price-performance ratio is right. You have to reserve a table in advance, then you have 1 hour to eat. The food was on the table very quickly. The dog is allowed into the restaurant. Parking is available on the street. Very nice friendly staff.

Overall, very nice restaurant, staff very nice and attentive. Nice atmosphere outside and inside. Very clean toilets. But unfortunately the food was a bit tasteless, the imperial vegetables were cold in places and still very hard, which diminished the overall impression.

Quality food comprising variations over German cuisine. Vast choice, great taste and all served astonishingly promptly. Cheerful and helpful staff plus a funny local legend described in the menu. The one and only pain is cash-only payment. Had it not been for that, I'd gladly rate it 5*.

This was our absolute favorite restaurant in Koserow for over 30 years. The last time we were here was on New Year's Eve and everything was perfect. Today the big disillusionment. Since May there has been a new owner with a new team in the kitchen and in service. The menu is about the same, but the prices have increased. The portions (fish for us) were large, but the quality was unfortunately lacking what had made the Amber Witch so special for decades. The “crowning” of our evening was when, after 1 1/4 hours, we were asked to give up the table for the next guests who were already waiting. When we asked, we learned that the new owner specifies a 1 hour cycle for the tables. At dinner, ordered months in advance and at a price of just under €80 for two people? We are at a loss for words with so much rudeness and we are simply sad about what they are making of “our” amber witch.

We went to the Amber Witch today. Sat outside. Food was good, price was also ok for my chicken breast with croquettes and salad on paprika sauce 17 euros. Aperitol 6.50 ...a bit more expensive, the currywurst with fries and salad 12.50. There were also fish dishes, starting at 20 euros. Service was close to the guest, not intrusive. Would come again 😉

Very tasty German cuisine. The ambience is a bit older, but fits the title of the restaurant. Friendly staff who are accommodating and the food is served in a good time.

There is plenty of food, but unfortunately most of it is not homemade but just warmed up. Of the four employees who were on site today, two were nice. But that was it. We didn't interact with one of them and a slightly older woman wasn't friendly at all. The older woman didn't smile or show any niceness. And that wasn't just to us, but also to other guests.

The Amber Witch in Koserow is absolutely recommended! The quality of the food and drinks as well as the service were excellent. We were particularly impressed by the huge portions, which are very good value for money. The menu offers a great selection of German dishes, and our children particularly enjoyed classics such as rice pudding with cinnamon sugar and applesauce. There is also a play area for the little ones, which rounds off the experience for families. Unfortunately I have to deduct a star because there is no option to pay by card. In 2024, this should actually be standard in Germany alongside cash payments. We will definitely come here again on our next visit and withdraw cash beforehand!

Food was good and the service was friendly. However, card payment is not possible (paying taxes is probably not that important here) and the tables are reassigned after 1 hour 15 minutes. Who wants to have dinner in peace like that? Edit: Everyone knows what taxes and card payments have to do with each other in the catering industry, you don't even have to have worked in the catering industry to know that. But no matter, a serious restaurant should at least offer card payment as customer service. Your food came relatively quickly, but I like to have a few drinks or a dessert in the restaurant, especially as a larger group. So you can't order a second bottle of wine or a third drink or anything like that. What they are right about is that fortunately there are other restaurants where you don't get thrown out if you just want to order a drink. In any case, a nice evening is something different for me, so I can also go to McDonald's...

The guests had criticized the fact that they were asked to leave after an hour. Even if the owner's representation were correct, the statement as a whole is an outrage! There is no more cynicism between the lines. By the way, I worked in the industry for many years when the rule was “The guest is always right.”

Unfortunately it's getting more and more expensive, but for now it's enough for me. Since the owner changed, card payments are no longer possible (absolute no-go in a holiday destination, no service). But the food is still good and the service is friendly.

Quite good food, basically flawless, but the hollandaise on the fish plate is far too dominant and since all the fish are seasoned the same, there is hardly any visual difference. It could definitely be better. The steak was very good, the mushroom cream sauce was a real hit. This, and the fair prices, the very nice service and the cozy atmosphere, saved the 5th star. If I had just taken the fish plate it wouldn't have been enough.

Here, too, I was offered a place as an individual without a reservation. However, I was immediately told that it was a reserved seat. However, the food was brought to the table quickly and, despite time pressure, I had enough time to enjoy the meal. Nice witch atmosphere and the service was also very friendly.

Wir waren dort 3x abends essen. Im Großen und Ganzen waren wir zufrieden. Am ersten Abend hatten wir einmal die große Fischplatte und einmal Rumsteak mit Pommes, Salat und Kräuterbutter. Wir waren mit der Qualität sehr zufrieden. Es war schmackhaft. Später stellten wir allerdings fest, dass man uns (vermutlich irrtümlich) eine Gemüsebeilage (die wir nicht hatten) berechnet hatte. Am zweiten Abend bestellten wir beide das Rumsteak (rare) mit Kräuterbutter, Pommes und Salat. Zuerst kamen die Getränke - meins war falsch - das ging zurück und ich bekam das richtige. Dann kamen die Steaks - meins war okay (rare) aber das meiner Begleitung war durchgebraten. Natürlich haben wir das moniert - es entstand eine "Schuldzuweisungsdiskussion zwischen Bedienung und Küche" und wir bekamen als "Entschädigung" 2 Schnäpe serviert. Ein Umtausch des irrtümlich durchgebratenen Steaks wäre vielleicht kundenorientierter gewesen. Am dritten Abend hatten wir als Vorspeise jeder eine Soljanka. War sehr schmackhaft. Beide bestellten wir als Hauptspeise wieder die Steaks - meine Begleitung war diesmal begeistert - ich war zur Abwechslung enttäuscht weil das Fleisch nicht mehr frisch war. Fazit: Bedienung und Inhaber sind freundlich und bemüht. Das Preis -Leistungsverhältnis ist okay. Was sehr schlecht ist: Es werden keine Kartenzahlungen akzeptiert. Was noch schlechter ist: Auf unsere Frage weshalb keine Kartenzahlungen akzeptiert werden erzählte man uns das sich die Besitzverhältnisse vor einer Woche geändert hätten und es 1 Jahr dauern würde bis die Institute Kartenzahlungen einrichten könnten. Da kam ich mir "verschaukelt" vor. Trotzdem können wir einen Besuch in der "Bernsteinhexe" empfehlen - aber eine Reservierung ist ratsam.

We reserved a table and were immediately told that our table would be reserved again an hour later. But that wasn't a problem at all! The service staff were on their toes, always had a cheeky saying on their lips and a smile. Our food arrived at our table quickly, the portions were large and the price was also very reasonable!

The dessert was also great. The service was courteous and friendly. Currently no card payment possible (but we already knew that, so everything is fine). We will definitely come back. The restaurant has a quiet location with its own playground. There are also enough parking spaces available. The staff is friendly and loves children. The food was also delicious. There is also a children's menu. The prices are fair. We recommend.

Cute little restaurant on a side street. Good home cooking and fish specialties at a moderate price/performance ratio. Despite the house being full, the waiter who served us was very attentive and served everyone quite quickly. The food came in a very short time, but everything was full. Excellent in taste. We had braised cabbage with minced meat and the Mecklenburg farmer's platter. If what my wife got as a “senior portion” was actually the small portion, the “normal” portion is almost for two people! 🤗 Inside you can marvel at many different witch figures. I didn't find any among the staff! 😉 Dogs are allowed and parking spaces (4-5) on site.

Here, the name speaks for itself! Witches, witches and more witches everywhere. The food is like mother's, hearty and strong and everyone will definitely be full. For me the solyanka was the best from koserow, definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
