We were there with a large group - the service was really great. The dishes arrived (almost) at the same time and were fresh and very tasty. No matter whether schnitzel, gyros, steak or pizza. We had everything at the table and everyone enjoyed it. Easy parking by car and barrier-free access 👍🏼

BE CAREFUL FOR OWNERS OF THE SCHLEMMERBLOCK 2024! The voucher is not recognized by the owner. The reason for this is a change in ownership. This meant we had to pay the full price! Food and service was quite good. However, this is very annoying!

It couldn't be worse. We wanted Kölsch and brought Pils. Ordered soup and the main course came and after asking, the soup was no longer available. Fries were hard. Out of 6 dishes, 3 dishes weren't what we ordered. Disappointing. Friends of ours aren't going either more and we don't either. It's a shame.

Staff very good, hard working But!!! The shadow, i.e. new tenant, horrible!!! Constantly takes photos in the company, Asked him not to do that, he didn't want to be photographed. I only take photos of this and that! Please do this if the guest is not sitting here! I felt disturbed too! He radiates a terrible coldness and fake friendliness. Since Angelo is no longer there, it's been a cold, oppressive one Atmosphere! No, the price/performance ratio is no longer suitable!! No no no!!!

Since the change of ownership, the food hasn't been as good for a long time, and it's also significantly more expensive and the portions are smaller.

Went there again for breakfast after a long time. Breakfast was a lot slower. The rolls didn't taste fresh and the buffet selection was very sparse compared to before! You had to wait a long time for your drinks and were even forgotten. You used to be able to get juice yourself, but this has been abolished! Overall, I wouldn't go here if I could choose!

I often sat at the bar there and drank Kölsch. The glasses were dirty, the Kölsch had no foam and simply tasted stale. The counter area is dirty, untidy and doesn't invite you to have a cool drink. The service is nothing special. But not inviting either.

The penthouse is a beautiful place for many events. Friendly, helpful service. Food perfect.

Nice service Prices cash register are more expensive than card such as. Iced tea card and no one said €3.50 and I had to pay €3.90

Even as a child, I always enjoyed being a guest at the Bergisches Löwen, but unfortunately I won't be coming back. Unfortunately the food was really not good. The menu has also been revised, apparently there is a new owner, the chef must be new too. The price-performance ratio is absolutely not right, the food is bad but expensive. Very unfortunate. At least the service is very nice and quick.

We were there for breakfast, a Greek-style buffet with olives, tzatziki, coleslaw, but also sausage. Unfortunately only one type of cheese and strange looking salmon. The service was polite, but: the waitress reached into the cups and didn't hold the spoons on a stick. A no go 👎

Aktuell in Ordnung. Schönes Restaurant, gute Speisekarte, Peters Kölsch, Weine. Aber Sonderangebote aus Empfehlung Schlemmerblock NICHT mehr gültig. Irgendwo einzutragen um Gäste zu ködern usw ist nicht die feine Art.

Two stars overall because the staff etc are really super nice... Otherwise unfortunately now more like minus 3 stars. A portion of fries has a little less here so 20 fries on it which really isn't big overall and I still pay almost €6 for that here???? Price-performance has become a disgrace over the last few years, which is a shame because otherwise it used to be very nice here...

Wir sind sehr unzufrieden.. völlig überzogene Preise. Anstatt Gyros bekommt man Geschnetzeltes nach Gyrosart gewürzt. Die Pommes haben auch eher wie nochmal aufgebacken geschmeckt. Das Bifteki meiner Frau ungekürzt und schmeckte als wäre es mit Camembert anstatt feta gefüllt. Sehr schade...

Nevertheless, this company takes about an hour to prepare food for the nine of us - the children went crazy because there was a fair outside. And then the communication: we asked twice; Both times the answer was 'I'll ask' - but then no response for us - we would have really liked to go back, because there was a fair outside and they would definitely have had some sausage there straight away. Finally we had something to eat; It was so-so, we don't need to talk about it. The departure spoke fully for the hospitality qualities of the house: no questions were asked as to whether it was tasty, and no one was surprised at the zero tip. No attempt to appease the guest - I think the boss already knows that when I look at the other reviews. So if you're smarter than me and read the reviews beforehand: go somewhere else!

Nice restaurant - food rather standard - forgetting a meal with 11 guests in the whole store, very unfortunate - being served the main course long before the starter salad, also very unfortunate - all in all - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. The service was nice - but was also more of a temporary assistant.

I had specially reserved seats for last Sunday. I entered the restaurant on time and greeted the staff. Instead of greeting me back, the boss and his wife ran past me several times without a friendly hello or anything similar and ignored me. This for more than 10 minutes! I no longer need to go to a store that doesn't seem to care about its customers. Obviously I was unwanted too.

Typical tourist trap. The small schnitzel with a side dish costs €13.90, but is clearly not enough for the price, especially since it is served without sauce.

Eigentlich ein sehr freundliches Lokal mit leckerer Küche.. man muss nur leider mitunter anmerken das durch den neuen Inhaber der Lokalität die Qualität der Küche sowie der Umgang mit dem eigenen Personal stark zu wünschen übrig lässt. Gäste bekommen häufig mit das dass Personal unfreundlich und respektlos behandelt wird. Leider nach dem Inhaber Wechsel nicht mehr zu empfehlen. Deshalb nur 1-5 Sternen.

240331 Easter Sunday trip to GL with wife. While strolling through the city we ended up at the Bergischer Löwen. When the sun was shining, the outdoor dining area was open and we were still able to find a place. A blackboard indicated fresh waffles with cherries, ice cream and cream. A cup of coffee with it, simply delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. We liked it.

The service was very nice and accommodating. The store itself is also very clean, well-kept and cozy. When you look at the menu you notice that you can get almost everything here: Schnitzel, pizza, currywurst and one or two Greek specialties. And unfortunately the food is exactly as you would expect: nothing special. Solid taste, everything ok but just ok. And just ok, I can do it better at home and don't go out to eat. A pity. The culinary concept here urgently needs to be revised. Oh yes, and the gourmet block voucher is not accepted due to a change in ownership, but they were accommodating to us here, which was ok for us.

Danger!!! The voucher book is not accepted!!!! When we ordered it was explained to us that the current voucher book (Schlemmerbock) would not be accepted due to the change of tenant in September. Unfortunately, this is not visible on the operator's homepage! As compensation, we got a cappuccino on the house at the end. The prices are excessive and the quality, at least on this evening, left something to be desired and not just at our table. Inappropriate value for money, the taste of the food was usually not convincing (bland, colorless, clear), the waiters are very friendly but also overwhelmed, it's best not to talk to the boss about the voucher book. It's a shame, we won't be coming back.

Eat and drink well at reasonable prices with first-class service in a cozy atmosphere

We had breakfast there. When we paid we presented the voucher book and were told rather rudely that the old owner was responsible for it. The new owner does not take part. Sorry, we don't think that's okay. Especially since it was communicated somewhat unkindly. Otherwise, the breakfast was okay and the atmosphere was nice. We would probably have visited the restaurant again if they had been a little friendlier.

Great restaurant that I have been visiting and loving for a long time A lot has changed since the change of tenant and I am very positively surprised. You can see the love in the details and how much experience and passion is behind the new concept. My first visit after the change was at Christmas for a goose meal. My family and I were blown away. Since then we have been coming more regularly than before and the changing offers on the daily and lunch menu are always refreshing. The boss personally is very close to the customers and present, which is really very rare. The general service is really great, from the breakfast staff who welcome us as their guests like family to the exuberant atmosphere in the tavern. Unfortunately, Dimi is no longer there, but we still have good old Jacky, who is warm and in a good mood as always, which is nice and hopefully she stays with us. All in all one of the top local restaurants in Bergisch Gladbach, highly recommended and I'm looking forward to my next visit :)

We were there for the breakfast buffet with the voucher book. We were then informed that there was a new owner and the voucher book was no longer valid. The buffet is set up behind a counter, where the dishcloths are and the checkout area is located. Makes a rather provisional impression. The selection is very clear and access is possible for a maximum of two people (very narrow). Price-performance: too expensive for the selection (€ 33.00 for two people) scrambled eggs soggy and not tasty. Service is very friendly. We wouldn't come back again.

Guten Morgen, wir gehen seit 20 Jahren jeden Samstag im Bergischen Löwen frühstücken. Gestern waren wir geschockt. Der Frühstückspreis war von 11,90 € auf 16,50 € erhöht, dass sind 39%. Die Mehrwertsteuer wurde von 7% auf 19% erhöht. Wir müssen uns bei dieser Erhöhung leider von Martina und Taki verabschieden. Wir müssen dem neuen Pächter zum Ausdruck bringen, dass die Erhöhung eine Unverschämtheit ist.

Gemütliche Brauerei mit klassischer Ambiente und essen war auch sehr lecker und üppig

Ein Schönes Lokal und zu einer Zeit besser Organisiert. Zu Heute dauert es Ellen lang bis dein Essen auf dem Tisch ist wenn der Laden mäßig besucht ist. Egal welche ausrede da auch angesagt wird isses halt meg nervig 1h oder länger zu warten. Das Essen ist wirklich gut da gibbet nix zu meckern! Im Sommer ist es draußen sehr schön zu sitzen da das Ambiente halt nett ist aber es bleibt diese Wartezeit aufs Essen. Sonst gibt es nix zu meckern...ein gutes Restaurant mit gutem Essen, üppige Portionen und gute Qualität der Speisen. Parken ist auch kein Problem entweder direkt davor oder rundherum.

Sehr lecker kann ich nur empfehlen.

Ich liebe die Schänke einfach. Dimi ist natürlich das Herzstück des Ladens. Er ist der Beste.

Waren nach ziemlich langer Zeit mal wieder da. Früher öfter zum Frühstücksbuffet. Neuer Besitzer, aber immer noch der gleiche Kellner. Gehört schon zum Inventar. Die Kellnerin brachte uns Olivenöl mit frischem Brot an den Tisch. Unser Essen war auch sehr lecker. Preisleistung in Ordnung! Der Service sehr nett. U.a kam der Kellner mit einem Tablet von frischen Fischen vorbei. Zeigte den Gästen Dorade und Tintenfisch.

Ganz freundlicher Empfang auch persönlich vom Chef. Essen war super. Die Bedienung war sehr Freundlich. Zu jedem Gang wurde uns der passende Wein empfohlen. Es gab leckeres warmes Brot mit einem griechischen Oliven Öl bester Qualität.

Sehr gemütliches, zum Verweilen einladendendes Ambiente. Super leckere Gerichte und super aufmerksame sowie freundliches Personal. Maisbrot mit griechischem Olivenöl zum Auftakt - TOP!! Der nächste Besuch ist schon geplant. Danke an das Team vom Restaurant "Bergischer Löwe".

Wir haben das Restaurant an den Feiertagen besucht. Es war sehr voll es scheint sehr beliebt geworden zu sein nachdem man den Besitzer gewechselt hat. Wir selber waren sehr begeistert-auch wenn wir länger auf das Essen warten mussten, denn die Qualität des Essen war hervorragend. Der uns dazu empfohlenem Wein war Geschmacklich zum Essen 1a abgestimmt.

Der neue Gastronom, hat die Preise gut angehoben, den Gyros aus der Karte gestrichen (Ich schreibe über die Schränke) aber die Qualität wurde nicht erhöht. Zum Fußball schauen gerne wieder, zum essen lieber nicht.

Wir haben Bergisches Schnitzel gegessen. Portionen waren groß und wie in der Speisekarte beschrieben angerichtet. Leider war es an dem Abend sehr voll und laut (Samstag mit Weihnachtsmarkt und betrieblichen Weihnachtsessen) und dadurch war das Ambiente sehr bescheiden.

Dort ist es sehr schön. Aber vor allen Dingen ist das Personal so freundlich und nett. Essen ist auch sehr, sehr lecker. Ich kann den Bergisch Löwen zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren mit eine größeren Gruppe hier. Das erste was ich sagen muss, der Service ist 1A. Ständig wurde geschaut, ob man noch genug zu Trinken hatte, oder auch andere Wünsche. Die gut bürgerlichen Gerichte sind sehr gut. Ich hatte das Cordon Bleu, war sehr lecker. Zum Start wird einem vom Chef und den angestellten das Olivenöl in einer Schale mit Pfeffer und Salz angerichtet, nette Showeinlage. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Alles super, Service, Grill Teller, hingehen und genießen.

Der Bergische Löwe als Kneipe und Gaststätte war das erste Lokal, das ich 2008 bei meinem ersten Besuch in Bergisch-Gladbach kennengelernt habe. Seit der Zeit zieht es mich immer wieder hier her. Im Sommer draußen, im Winter drinnen zum Fußball schauen. Nach dem Karnevalsumzug zum Kölsch-Trinken und feiern. Bei Familienfesten zum gemütlichen Essen. Der Service ist super, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt total und die Gäste sind klasse.

Der Abend war einfach perfekt. Mehr gibt es nicht zu sagen.

Wir waren zum Gänseessen mit 7 Personen. Die Ganz war ein Traum und die Aufmerksamkeit des Personals sucht seines gleichen. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend.

Das Team war irgendwie etwas überfordert obwohl es nicht voll war. Die Grillteller waren sehr lecker aber auch eher leer... der Salat dazu kam leider nicht 🤷🏻‍♂️ Dann ist uns leider auch noch aufgefallen das der Ketchup abgelaufen war... Und naja die Musik empfangen wir als zu laut und nicht so gemütlich.

Heute gab es eine kleine Reunion für mich in der Schänke. Früher haben wir dort gerne am Tag nach dem Feiern gegessen und die super liebe Kellnerin von früher ist immer noch da. Das Essen hat zwar etwas gedauert aber es hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Besonders schön fand ich den freundlichen und herzlichen Umgang mit unserem Sohn (fast 3). Auch er bekam einen „Kinderschnaps“ und er wurde immer angesprochen und „wahr genommen“. Es war ein schöner Abend dort.

Leider kein typisches griechisches Restaurant mehr. Besitzer sehr aufdringlich und sehr unfreundlich zu seinem Personal. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht angemessen. Schade,war voher ein schönes Restaurant mit einer tollen Speisekarte.

War zum Frühstück hier. Es gab Frühstücksbuffet inkl. Kaffee pro Person 10,90 € Komme gerne wieder.

Leider mit neuem Pächter, der wohl bald die Quittung für seine mäßige Leistung erhält. Bergisches Schnitzel für knapp 20 Euro als industriell hergestelltes Tiefkühlprodukt, typisch dünn und flach mit Fertigpanade die abbröselt. Alle Preise überteuert. Rechnung über Tablett ohne nachvollziehbarem Papierausdruck. Kein Vergleich mehr zu früher!

Das Ambiente ist kein Highlight....aber man fühlt sich auch nicht unwohl. Der Sevice ist freundlich und flott unterwegs, die Auswahl angenehm übersichtlich, ein Mix aus Bergischer, Griechischer und Italiaenischer Küche. Die Qualität der Speisen ist gut, bei unserem Besuch gab es als Vorspeise gefüllte Champignons sowie 3x Schnitzel bergische Art und einen großen. Salat mit Hähnchenbrust. Fazit: Note 2 bis 2+
