The schnitzels were okay (nothing special). The beer was excellent! The service was very friendly. The manager could work on his attitude toward guests.

We stayed there for one night with five girls for an Andreas Gabalier open-air concert. What can I say: We received a warm welcome from the host, who gave us tips on how best to get to Willingen: a bus leaves from the train station, which is a 10-minute walk away, and he even arranged a large taxi for us. That was great. We slept well that night and were surprised by a fantastic breakfast in the morning. We didn't lack anything, and we really enjoyed it. The breakfast was very plentiful, with delicious rolls and absolutely delicious. The price/performance ratio was absolutely right. Thank you for the pleasant stay.

We went for dinner today after visiting Fort Fun. After requesting a table for seven, we were given a table by phone. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, we couldn't pay by debit card. The food was home-style Greek and pizza. Children's dishes weren't included on the menu. However, they did provide coloring books and pencils for the kids. The food was of decent quality and fresh. The "beer garden" seemed a bit neglected. The electrical outlets were only half-installed, the ceiling lights were missing covers, and LED strips were sticking out. The restrooms were clean and tidy. From the beer garden, you have a lovely view of the Christmas tree plantation on the opposite mountainside.

As always, the schnitzel was delicious. We were able to sit outside and enjoy ourselves in the beautiful weather.

We were looking for a family room at short notice and found one here. It was enough size for four people. The inn itself is simple and not modern. Bed linen and towels were of high quality, the room was clean and the bathroom was modernized. Breakfast was included in the price and it was really worth seeing. There were fresh rolls from the bakery, fresh sausage/cheese platter and scrambled eggs, cream cheese, jam, Nutella, honey...tea of ​​your choice, coffee, orange juice and for the kids hot/cold cocoa to stir in, almost like at home. It was first class. We didn't expect that. Even a lunch bag for everyone to pack. The hostess is very nice. Price performance is appropriate. You can also eat in the restaurant there in the evening. Fort Fun amusement park is 15 minutes away by car. We'd love to come back.

We had a beautiful room with a great view and a huge bathroom. High-quality bed linens and towels. Very clean and comfortable. In the evening, we enjoyed an excellent steak and schnitzel in the restaurant. In the morning, there was an outstanding breakfast that left nothing to be desired. Bags of bread to take away were provided. The hosts were very friendly. Everything was perfect for us, and we would gladly come back. Thank you very much.

Cozy inn with friendly, attentive and very nice owners and very tasty food! We stayed at the inn as a group for a few days and felt very comfortable there. In the morning we had a beautifully set breakfast table with a selection of delicious food and drinks! Upon request, we were able to get hot water for thermos bottles and make sandwiches to take home for our sports trips. Food/dinner in the inn is also recommended! Yummy :)

Es ist ein sehr gemütliche Pension und Gaststätte. Die Leute sind sehr freundlich. Alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Wenn sie eine Unterkunft suchen unbedingt hier Einkehren.

Prima locatie lekker dichtbij Nederland verrassend mooie omgeving zowel met als zonder sneeuw. We zaten olsberg. Een half uur van Winterberg vandaan. Gezellig dorp wat rustiger dan Winterberg leuke winkeltjes, lekkere restaurantjes. Onder andere het stadsgesprek, de kleine aardappel, of een lekkere verse pizza bij Mario. Goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. We zaten in park hotel

Eine Speisekarte mit einer Anzahl an Gerichten nicht zu übertreffen ist. Sehr leckeres Essen zu absolut fairen Preisen. Eine Zuvorkommende Bedienung. Kann man nur empfehlen!

Nach den Bewertungen ein Gasthaus Besuch. Es war keine so gute Idee. Es sollte Ziegeunerleber sein. Die Leber als solches war durchaus genießbar. Aber eine Soße darüber zu gießen, die über ein Ziegeuner Schnitzel gehört hätte, war eine Vergewaltigung der Leber ! Das Jäger Schnitzel war auch nicht der Hit. Gut Essen ist etwas herrliches, aber nicht so.

Een adresje dat je moet weten want het ligt wat achteraf, maar dan ook zeker de moeite waard. Een echt Duits ingericht restaurant (lekker donker wat waarschijnlijk al 50 jaar zo is) met een mooi groot terras. Een uitgebreide kaart met vleesgerechten en pizza’s. Keuze uit meerdere schnitzels, steaks, grillgerechten, allen geserveerd met een lekkere verse salade. Jammer genoeg is er voor de niet-vleeseter weinig keuze, maar de omelet met gebakken aardappelen en champignons maakt veel goed. Zeer vriendelijke bediening en een prima prijs. Zeker het omrijden waard!

Leuk restaurant en je krijgt wat je mag verwachten van een lokaal restaurant uit Bestwig. We moesten even wachten op het eten, maar die tijd hadden ze benut voor wat zelfgemaakte broodjes van pizzadeeg. Lekker gegeten, biefstukkie en een stoofpotje. Pizza voor de kinderen was met wel erg veel kaas en weinig tomatensaus. Maar het is dan ook geen pizzeria. Verder zeer aardige mensen.

Gausthaus Sauerwald is one of the best gastropubs in the region. Led by the couple Bale and Ulrike this place is a family owned gastro pub with great food and outstanding hospitality. The food is influenced by Bale' s country of origin, Mazedonia, with typical flavours from the mediterranean region, whatever you eat it is delicious. The rooms are very clean and the prices per night inclusive breakfast are reasonable.

Goedkoop, gezellig en SUPER LEKKER! Goulashsoep is heel lekker + onion soup ook. Schnitzel is heerlijk en je krijgt 2 stuks. Pizza iets minder. De pasta met gorgonzola en tortellini ook heel lekker!!

Erg goede en vriendelijke bediening. Zeer goed eten, met een biefstuk waar menig Argentijns restaurant jaloers op zijn

Goed gegeten alles vers lekkere zwiebel suppe en ein grillteller. Vandaag vanuit winterberg hier langs gereden. Ligt niet zo ver van de hoofdweg. Je kunt hier ook overnachten

Best Rum Steak and Beer we have tried. Cousy and neet rooms and all together great experience. Close to Dortmund, Cologne, Dusseldord and many winter ski centers. Strong recommendation for everybody.

We hebben zojuist op de terugweg van Winterberg heerlijk gegeten bij Sauerwald. De pepersteak was perfect en de schnitzel en pizza waren ook heel lekker. Zeker een aanrader!

Zimmer geräumig und sauber. Frühstück besser als nur Standard ( Brötchen,Wurst,Käse etc)... Das Gasthaus selber ist gemütlich und das Essen sehr gut. Der Wirt und seine Frau führen das Gasthaus schon seit über 20 Jahren. Einzig die Lage ist ein bißchen " ab vom Schuß" ... wobei Nahverkehrsmittel in direkter Nähe zum Gasthaus sind. Wir waren nur für eine Übernachtung dort, aber die herzliche Atmosphäre hat uns sehr gut gefallen.
