Very friendly and pleasant service. The food is delicious, fresh, and very tasty. The portions are perfectly adequate. We'll definitely come back if we're in the area.

There's nothing here anymore. I think the restaurant is bankrupt. We went there and found the doors closed 😔

I can absolutely recommend it! Gasthof Hengsbach was exactly what I was looking for: a room and the opportunity to eat and drink. The room is simple but tidy. The restaurant and bar area were absolutely to my taste, rustic and authentic. Chanterelle mushrooms were prominently featured on the menu, so I had a schnitzel with chanterelle mushrooms and fries. Very, very tasty! What you can't see from the outside: there's a small beer garden behind the house, so it's also possible to sit outside. Bernhard is a very good innkeeper; if I'm ever in the area again, he'll be my first choice!

I can't say anything about the hotel rooms. We were there for dinner. The food was excellent, and my son's special requests were immediately accommodated. I'm always happy to come here for dinner. The service is also very friendly and accommodating.

Spontaneously stopped here for a bite to eat on the way home. Super friendly staff, super nice chef, super delicious and hot food. Would go back anytime.

Friendly, but the room was dirty, the bed was almost falling apart, a razor in the shower... ugh, the fan was running half the night. I would have appreciated some more accommodating service. The room next door was much better.

At Hengsbach's Bernie, you're still human! Large portions at reasonable prices, and I'm just talking about the beer. At your bar, the beers practically fly from left to right. Just the thing for a casual guys' night. Even when our cognitive abilities were waning, you didn't let us down and even organized a taxi for us. If there were 10 stars, I'd give it 15! I visited here several times with colleagues. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially the young waitress with her friendly smile. The daily recommendation of fresh asparagus tasted excellent. The price-performance ratio was right. I'd love to come back.

Accommodation quite old-fashioned

The rooms were clean and tidy! Old-fashioned but nice! We stayed there for two days! Breakfast included. The staff was very friendly and the owner was a very nice person! Greetings from Münsterland PS: We will be back

Had a delicious meal there, tasted good. It's the only way to eat at the moment.

The room was quite too presented. No uniformly sized furniture and a very small wall mounted TV. The bathroom is nice and big with a bathtub. And very important, there is no active WiFi.

Sehr gutes Lokal in Bestwig. Das Essen ist dort wirklich sehr lecker. Wir kommen hier immer wieder hin. Das Rumpsteak ist immer super lecker. Auf jeden Fall einen oder mehr besuche wert.

Bernhard ist ein Wirt durch und durch.... Auf Essenwünsche wird eingegangen und auch erfüllt. Der Service (die Mädels) ist auf zack... Im großen und ganzen nur zu empfehlen....

Waren dort nur abends zum Essen, auf Empfehlung, daher kann ich zum Hotel nichts weiter sagen. Das Essen war aber sehr lecker. Brauchten nicht lange auf das Essen warten und hatten vorneweg einen Gruß aus der Küche. Portionen waren angemessen, preislich im ortsüblichen Rahmen. Personal war freundlich. Gasthaus kann ich weiterempfehlen.

Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Rustikale, leckere, selbstgemachte Gasthof-Küche. Zimmer etwas seiner Zeit hinterher aber sauber. Leider etwas geräuschintensiv zur Hauptstraße hin. Aber vollkommend ok für eine Nacht👍🏼

Twee keer een buffet gegeten, zeer ruim van vlees en heel goed klaargemaakt. Ook prima groente erbij.

Essen und Getränke sind sehr gut. Bedienung sehr aufmerksam kann echt nicht meckern.

Waren gestern zum Silvester Buffet im Gasthof Hengsbach. Sind sehr begeistert. Super Essen und sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Kommen gerne mal wieder!!

Sehr liebevoll gestaltetes Gasthaus. Nettes, schnelles und kompetentes Fachpersonal. Super leckeres Essen. Auch für Vegetarier und Veganer etwas dabei. Ich komme gerne wieder nochmal zum Kegeln!

Leckere Schnitzelvariationen (Mein Favorit ist das Schnitzel mit Paprikasahnesauce!). Alles wird frisch gebruzzelt und zubereitet und trotzdem keine langen Wartezeiten. Es schmeckt einfach hervorragend. Sehr freundlicher Wirt, der zu jedem Gast persönlich kommt und nachfragt, ob alles in Ordnung war. Absolute Empfehlung!

Ich war mit meinen Arbeitskollegen dort Frühstücken. Sehr bodenständiges Restaurant. Erinnert zuweilen an Kneipen aus den 80er Jahren. Das Buffet war übersichtlich. Der Chef war sehr nett und der Service war ausgezeichnet.

Leckeres Essen Sehr freundliche, aufmerksame Bedienung

Wir, 3 Familen mit Kleinkindern haben dort übernachtet und abends gegessen und ich kann nur sagen das wir sehr gut bedient worden sind. Es wurde flexibel und freundlich auf uns und die Kinder eingegangen. Die Zimmer sind zwar nicht auf dem Stand von 2022, ABER alles sauber und gepflegt, das Essen ist super ! Der Gastwirt ist authentisch, ehrlich, hat wirklich Spass gemacht. Was erst eine Notlösung war, werden wir ganz sicherlich, wenn wir in der Gegend sind nochmal besuchen! Danke nochmal an Gasthof Hengsbach!!

Wurden spät am Abend noch freundlich aufgenommen. Konnten unsere Fahrräder direkt unterstellen. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und alles ist da. Super Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Gesamtes Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gerne wieder !

Einfacher Gasthof mit sehr leckerem Essen. Der Küchenchef erfüllt die Erwartungen die die Speisekarte erweckt. Die sehr nette Bedienung sorgt angenehm dezent für den Getränkenachschub. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
