We regularly visit this restaurant on our trips from the Landshut district to the Bavarian spa triangle. The dishes are always excellent; today we had grilled zander with chanterelles. Absolutely delicious! Fast and friendly service. Highly recommended! We keep coming back. And what we also appreciate: ample parking.

We were very satisfied on the first day at the turn of the year 2024/2025, but you could forget about the second day....now we tried it again in August. The pancake soup tasted of nothing, the pancakes weren't homemade, the curry sausage was just about okay, two days later we tried schnitzel but it was lukewarm, the sausage salad was a complete disaster...

We only wanted a quick bite, but the portion was more than sufficient. But we could take the rest with us. Great service and very good food.

I was here yesterday for dinner and was so disappointed. I ordered a rolled roast suckling pig but I got a roast pork but the meat was so dry. But the best part is yet to come. I forgot about the food straight away and there wasn't even an apology or anything and the waiter didn't know what was on the menu and I had to look at the menu and they didn't understand me very well. I won't be going there again any time soon.

It's about the restaurant. We're from Birnbach and went to dinner for my husband's 83rd birthday with eight people, including two children. I had zander fillet with chanterelle mushrooms for over 23 euros. The fish was as hard as a shoe sole and impossible to cut with a fish knife. No salad with it, just a ton of overcooked potatoes. My husband's Kaiserschmarrn consisted of giant pieces with no sugar, and the applesauce was dark brown and flavorless. A children's schnitzel for 16 euros was outrageous... Total price for eight people: 175 euros. We've known the place from the beginning; it was always recommended. That has changed completely. We won't eat there again and can't recommend such a place to anyone. It's a shame what it's become.

The service was always friendly and prompt, and we never had to wait long for our food. We'll definitely be back. Stay healthy and keep up the good work.

Food is great. Good menu and ample choice and portions. Service initially smooth. Dishes quickly on the table. However, when paying, it went wrong. We had to wait fifteen minutes for the bill, and when we asked for the second time to pay, we were yelled at with the words that we should just take it easy. It is understandable that the hard-working service is busy, but it seems to me a small effort to remain friendly. A small disappointment after a great dinner.

After more than three years, I was on holiday in Bad Birnbach again, and of course a visit to the Rottaler Stuben was a must, and what can I say? SIMPLY GREAT. I've rarely eaten so good food. This time it was breaded schnitzel with sweet mustard and horseradish, fried potatoes, and a small salad. The food was served in no time. My wife had the Stubenpfanderl with spaetzle and cranberries, which was also great.

Our planned lunch visit to the Rottaler Stubn restaurant yesterday ended in remarkable disappointment. Although the beer garden was by no means crowded—we estimated it to be about a third full—we were consistently ignored by the male waitress for about 10 to 15 minutes. Instead of serving guests, empty dishes were cleared away with remarkable composure. After this wait, I dared to ask a female waitress whether the beer garden was self-service, as we received no attention. The reaction was shocking and unacceptable: I was asked in an extremely rude tone to leave the restaurant if I "didn't have time." We have rarely encountered such unprofessionalism and contempt for guests. In light of this experience, we cannot recommend the Rottaler Stubn restaurant in any way due to the blatant unfriendliness of the staff. Fortunately, Bad Birnbach and the surrounding area offer a variety of other hospitable and recommendable restaurants.

Good food, very friendly staff (outside is dog friendly anyway) And they are very quick. Also the level of English is fine 🙂 inside looks typically German.

We were last here on market Sunday and once again had a wonderful meal. Even though it was very busy, we couldn't complain about the wait.

Ich habe das Hotel gebucht, da ich jemanden in der Reha in Bad Birnbach besucht habe. Sehr nettes Hotel, viel Parkplätze, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gut und Zimmer zweckmäßig. Musste bei meinem Zimmer leider feststellen, dass das Wasser aus der Dusche zum Teil auf den Boden floß. Wirtshaus ist gemütlich und das Essen hervorragend. War hier zwei Mal zum Essen und ich kann die Schweinshaxe und das Altrottaler Schnitzel sehr empfehlen. Bedienung zweigeteilt. Von sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend bis abweisend. Aber ich war trotzdem sehr zufrieden. Der Außenbereich ist, trotz an der Hauptstraße liegend sehr gemütlich. Mein Fazit: Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in dieser wunderschönen Umgebung, empfehlenswert.

A very beautiful and large beer garden, partially covered, with excellent parking. The rooms are very cozy and inviting. Highly recommended for larger meetings or events. Plenty of space and good acoustics, allowing many people to have a good conversation while enjoying their food without having to shout over each other. The restrooms are wheelchair accessible and extremely tidy and clean. The service is very attentive, and friendly. We were always served courteously and attentively, and in a very reasonable time. The food is varied and a truly great selection. Everything is freshly prepared and tastes very, very good. We felt completely at home. Thank you very much.

After a day at the spa, four of us spontaneously looked for a place for dinner and found this place thanks to its lovely ambiance. The service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious – fish and roast beef with onions. The salad dressing was particularly delicious; the meat was cooked to perfection, the fish was super juicy inside and crispy on the outside – very tasty, and the vegetables were very flavorful. Absolutely excellent value for money. Thanks for a wonderful end to a wonderful day, and we'd be happy to return.

Whenever we visit Bad Birnbach, we always come back for dinner at the Rottaler Stuben. That speaks for itself. The value for money is excellent. The food is always good.

We went to the restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious, as always. The service was very friendly, but a little too few for the number of people.

It's simply fantastic here! Especially for us lowland Tyroleans 😉

The restaurant has a typically Bavarian decor. I think a reservation is necessary on Sundays, as the place was full when we visited. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food. The menu is presented in a leather cover, which is nice in itself, but ours were quite worn and, unfortunately, a bit greasy. Despite everything, the food was good!

We always enjoy eating there when we're in Birnbach for our wellness week, as we prefer Bavarian dishes. The selection is large, and the quality and quantity are excellent. By the way, it's also highly recommended for afternoon coffee; the delicious homemade cakes and gateaux are fantastic.

First of all: "We were in the Rottaler Stuben in October 24 and were served very, very friendly and courteously by a slim, tall lady from her native Czech Republic. The food that evening was good, the cold roast platter was very sufficient, the potato salad was freshly prepared As on December 28th, we were served and looked after by a very young, incredibly child-friendly (to the delight of our grandson) and lovely service person. Unfortunately, the food that evening was a bit too far Fried, the fried potatoes could be slightly less, but they were crispier. Our grandson liked the tomato cream soup. On January 2nd, 2025 we were there in the early afternoon and were looked after by an older gentleman, well we didn't need any further communication, so we just ordered and that's it. The soup came cold, was taken back without any problem (they apologized quietly) and came back micro-hot. Burnt tongue. Unfortunately the shish kebab was very dry and stuck in my throat, but the sauce tasted good. The trout was actually fresh and very good. The two service girls mentioned above clearly deserve 5 stars, they were like sunshine, the older gentleman was only supposed to do the afternoon service, it is too stressful in the evening, which is understandable given their age. The kitchen needs 4 stars due to a normal, expandable, but so far good home cooking., but and now it comes, really BUT and incredibly unfortunate, how damaging to business a cheeky, rude, non-service-oriented plate taxi lady is for the company, a bad image and annoyance and can cause dissatisfaction in general, I would immediately expel such a person!! Short explanation: Due to our family meeting on December 4th, 2024, as some of our children live locally, we agreed to meet there and reserved a table accordingly. When we arrived, we were pleased to find that there were more of us than previously assumed , well, we asked very politely if we could move into the other room with the large, free table. The reaction to this was growling and annoyed, something we didn't know at the time, that the menus had already been thrown at our children (older gentleman), and in any case the whole game was a common theme throughout the entire evening. Unfortunately, we still have the aforementioned rude waitress (around 30 years old) who saw us as the culprit because of the orders, although we tried very hard to get everything straightened out when we asked, but unfortunately that's manageable With such a group, it's not entirely possible to avoid additional orders being placed here and there, which shouldn't be a problem either for the business or for an employee who does this job in the SERVICE, but the lady's mood was soooo It's bad that not even our grandson dared to order an ice cream, not only that the plates and drinks were put in front of us at such a rapid pace, but our son's last hot drink, mind you a hot drink, came like a flying bird saucer so that he could just catch a glimpse of it. This is not only dangerous, but is beyond unprofessional and disgraceful!! When we asked the management to clarify this, they said there was no one available, so I went straight to the lady personally and expressed my displeasure and explained to her that SHE was also being paid by US GUESTS and that she should undergo training should undergo. Unfortunately, they shake themselves off, there are still enough guests and ultimately other people/colleagues, like us guests, suffer from it and always cast a bad light on our gastronomy.

Very inconspicuous restaurant from the outside with a beer garden in front. Huge inside with an open kitchen. Despite the fact that the staff was very stressed because all the tables were occupied, they were very friendly. We drank 3 mulled wine and 1 apple mulled wine. All drinks were served hot and tasted like a dream. The price wasn't cheap, but we were still satisfied. The food I saw was plentiful and definitely delicious. Otherwise the restaurant wouldn't have been so full. I can only recommend this location.

We quickly decided to reserve a table (approx. 1 hour in advance) and received a really nice reception when it was busy. Well-coordinated team and very cozy atmosphere. Drink cellar beer and eat a schnitzel platter for 2 people (various schnitzels with fries, croquettes, mashed potatoes, potato pancakes, cranberry sauce and - extremely tasty - grilled vegetables). To finish off with a pine schnapps, a clear recommendation. Bill around 50 €. Thumbs up

We've eaten here several times. We had now asked via the inquiry form to eat and have breakfast there on two days over Christmas Eve and, if possible, to spend the night in the motorhome in the parking lot. (This is possible in some restaurants). Unfortunately there was no answer. When I asked by phone whether something had gone wrong when submitting the form, I was told in a rather unfriendly manner that motorhomes were not allowed to stay there overnight (I understand), that it was closed on Christmas Eve (also understandable, it wasn't visible on the HP) and they are otherwise “actually” fully booked. Oh right. It's nice that there are good alternatives in Bad Birnbach.

Actually, we just wanted to spend a nice evening with you! Mind you, we have been guests at the inn for decades and have always rated this restaurant very well and recommended it to others. Despite the change in tenants, it was always good and what I had to experience today was very borderline. I made a reservation for 2 people at 6 p.m. When we arrived at the restaurant we were asked about the reservation and it could not be found or confirmed. We then got a table and so far everything was ok. The waitress just said: Someone seems to be too stupid to take the reservations, because another older couple apparently felt the same way as us. At the next table, this topic was discussed several times with the waitress, who kept referring to the manager who was not there, and the older lady asked several times about the table for the next few days, and then the waitress got very angry. I wouldn't have put up with it! So much for that. Now to our meal: Cordon Bleu with potato salad (homemade) and roast veal with pasta and colorful vegetables. Both dishes arrived at our table lukewarm. The Cordon Bleu was OK so far, but the potato salad would have been better if the restaurant had bought it ready-made. Lots of vinegar and extremely “mustardy”. Oh well! The roast veal consisted of 3 thin (approx. 3-4mm) slices of meat and on the edge of the plate was a piece of fat measuring approx. 4 by 2cm. The pasta was totally overcooked and the colorful vegetables were Mediterranean vegetables (guys! A roast veal with Mediterranean vegetables! Can you tell????), which only tasted like garlic. Finally, I wanted the menu because my wife ordered a cappuccino and only after asking twice did the menu come. I completely lost my appetite because the cappuccino was only lukewarm and it tasted so watery that I wouldn't have drunk it. Dear Rottaler Stuben team: Apparently you actually have a problem with logistics and also with older guests (next table). Is it because you only do check-ins, or are some of your waiters simply unsuitable? The older waiter who throws the tablet from far away or slams the doors with his foot and can't even say "goodbye" or the rude "head waitress" who can't handle some branches professionally!? Unfortunately, I can understand some of the criticism only too well, and we will no longer recommend you and will never come to you again. PS: I'm not a cook, but what I was served on the table today I'll cook better for you, so that your ears will ring, and there's no need to say anything more about it... catastrophe! What's wrong with you? If you ask for a lot of money for something like that (proportion to portion), then you won't deliver? I can't even say how angry I am about this!!! To the owner's response: How can you tell that the restaurant is far below our level? If that were the case, we wouldn't be going there for many years and even celebrating birthdays and festive occasions. Second: Who should be my wife? Probably more went wrong that evening and other people also criticized it. Unfortunately, your answer confirms the style with which your restaurant is run, and so I'm not surprised by the subterranean treatment of other guests. This was also the reason why people didn't complain on site, because they had absolutely no interest in ruining a nice evening and getting into confrontation. Furthermore, I can only recommend that you accept more criticism in order to avoid further bad recessions. You can see in the other reviews how you and your staff treat paying guests. Wish you continued good business and a happy life in your seemingly perfect world.

The staff wasn't friendly to everyone and only brought things after we asked several times if they even paid attention to us. The food was mediocre and wasn't nicely presented on the plate and didn't taste that good either. I had ordered veal cream roast with pasta and colorful vegetables, I received 3 very thin slices of veal, overcooked pasta and Mediterranean vegetables that only tasted of garlic, which in my opinion doesn't go well with the roast. My husband had cordon bleu with potato salad, the meat was very thick with a lot of cheese and the potato salad only tasted like vinegar with mustard. The cappuccino afterwards was only lukewarm and quite watery. Expect better for the money than this one Don't come here anymore.

Main course was good. Unfortunately the soup for the starter was only lukewarm. Service, in our opinion, leaves a lot to be desired. Changes such as spaetzle instead of fries are not possible, well... you get stupid statements when you reorder sauce because the dish was misunderstood. Unfortunately, the normal friendly demeanor when serving people like in other restaurants was not there. Therefore, food is good, service is good.

Wir kannten das Restaurant von unserem letzten Aufenthalt in Bad Birnbach und hatten uns auf ein leckeres Abendessen gefreut. Leider wurden unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Die Qualität des Essens liegt etwa zwei Punkte unter der unseres letzten Aufenthalts. Service war sehr freundlich.

After the thermal baths, you can quickly go to the restaurant, which can be difficult in Bad Birnbach without a reservation. We got a table for dinner without any problems and were served well in the broadest sense: friendly, quick, with decent portions, but above all with really good food! Schnitzel and cordon bleu with crispy breading, fresh potato salad, crunchy grilled vegetables, just the way it should be. Here we are still cooking properly and not warming up. Unfortunately, in comparable (customer-friendly) price ranges you often only get frozen vegetables. Even though we were actually already stuffed, we shared two more pieces of the home-baked cake. And that was a joy too! Address will be remembered for next time!

Das Essen war bis auf den Salat unterirdisch. Das Fleisch vom Zwiebelrostbraten total zäh, die Bratkartoffeln dazu eine Frechheit. 2/3 davon haben die Pfanne nicht gesehen - kalt und ungebraten sowie ungewürzt. Der Kartoffelsalat war aus dem Eimer und absolut nicht essbar, entweder Matsch oder eine halbe Kartoffel, vom Geschmack ganz zu schweigen. Wir haben noch nie so schlecht gegessen. Der Service war unfreundlich. Wir hätten vorher die Bewertungen lesen sollen. Nie wieder.

Good morning, were at lunch on Monday. I had schnitzel. I changed the side dishes from fries to fried potatoes. Service was very friendly. Unfortunately there were no fried potatoes. Not roasted, onion stewed and the whole thing was floating in oil/fat. The waitress noticed that the fried potatoes weren't right. Very unfortunate...

We ate there for the fourth time today in our two week vacation. We had a different dish every time and we were really impressed. The dishes are very tasty and the price-performance ratio is amazing. The dessert is also delicious, from Kaiserschmarrn to cake. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. We would particularly like to mention Petra. Not only very courteous service, but also a very lovable person. We'll definitely be back.

Only now did I read the comment from the owner of the restaurant. It's unbelievable what he writes there. A 68-year-old guest didn't rush into the kitchen, he first sought help from the waitress because the inside of his food was still raw and tough as leather. Apparently older guests are not welcome there and now it was unbelievable what my wife and I had to witness with around 80 other guests from the Rottaler Stuben in the beer garden on August 17th, 24 at 7:15 p.m. A guest who rightly complained to the chef about his inedible sirloin of beef could only hear from him "if you don't like my food then go somewhere else". When a waitress came out of the restaurant, she really accelerated. Instead of apologizing for the inedible piece of meat, she yelled at the guest well below the belt. We and I think most of the other guests saw this place for the last time.

The chef orders a dish that includes wild mushrooms on the menu to be served with mushrooms. A total Nefertiti go.

Good location, friendly staff, varied offerings with good food. If you as a guest visit the thermal baths from here and make the most of your time there, there is no dinner here. The kitchen closes at 9 p.m. We were in the restaurant at 9:05 p.m. and just wanted a small meal like goulash soup or a currywurst. We emphasized that we would spend the night here in the house. There was no mercy for 5 minutes. There was also no possibility to eat dinner in town. That's bad and inflexible, you're a stranger here and don't know your way around.

We had dinner at this inn twice. It is located on a busy street in Bad Birnbach, but the traffic is very little bothersome. Bavarian and Austrian cuisine can be found at this inn. The portions are very large and the dishes taste very tasty. The price is also okay. It's a good choice for a later dinner.

We ate very well here. There is a large and varied selection of dishes and the kitchen is open all day, which was very convenient for us. Wonderful restaurant with an extensive menu of choice. You can dine indoors and outdoors. The times we were there the restaurant was well filled.
