Very good food and quick service and very friendly service

Good Bavarian cuisine, unfortunately unfriendly staff.

I can't rate the room. Food was very good, value for money was great. Friendly, unfortunately on a curve with sometimes a lot of traffic, a bit too loud for the beer garden. But a nice atmosphere inside.

We ate very well here. There is a large and varied selection of dishes and the kitchen is open all day, which was very convenient for us. The waitress was extremely friendly, attentive and child-friendly. We felt very welcome with our toddler. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back!

Only now did I read the comment from the owner of the restaurant. It's unbelievable what he writes there. An 86-year-old guest didn't rush into the kitchen, he first sought help from the waitress because the inside of his food was still raw and tough as leather. Apparently older guests are not welcome there and now it was unbelievable what my wife and I had to witness with around 80 other guests from the Rottaler Stuben in the beer garden on August 17th, 24 at 7:15 p.m. A guest who rightly complained to the chef about his inedible sirloin of beef could only hear from him "if you don't like my food then go somewhere else". When a waitress came out of the restaurant, she really accelerated. Instead of apologizing for the inedible piece of meat, she yelled at the guest well below the belt. We and I think most of the other guests saw this place for the last time.

Impressions after two visits: On our first visit, we had a very attentive and nice waitress. Attentive to the children and was always friendly and guest-oriented. She also managed the balancing act of working with an orderman and still maintaining eye contact with the guest very well (many waiters just stare into things without looking at the guests). On the second visit we had to wait a bit (despite a reservation) until the waiter noticed us and there were eight of us, so we couldn't be overlooked. Nevertheless, his service was good and authentic. Now about the food. That was very good across the board. The salads in particular are very attractive, which other restaurants in the city cannot do. Taste and presentation at a very high level. So Koch knows his craft. The ambience inside is traditional Bavarian. We didn't sit on the terrace because the temperature was too high. However, this is located at a main road intersection, which somewhat inhibits a quiet lunch/dinner. Our recommendation: definitely worth a visit.

Yesterday: Order onion roast “medium”. Unfortunately it was served “rare” (raw inside + tough)! Waitress wasn't there, so I brought the plates to the kitchen to complain. Literal quote from the chef on it: "If you don't like it here, just go somewhere else!" And the waitress then complained loudly (in the fully occupied outdoor area of ​​the restaurant) about this definitely justified complaint! This caused all the guests in the outdoor area to be quite irritated! Apart from the impossible treatment of a guest who actually just wanted the dish he ordered! The management of the restaurant should definitely take note of this!

I had dinner with a family from Poland. We were served quickly and professionally. The food was delicious and the local delicacies recommended by the lady from the staff were fantastic. Thank you.

We are guests in Bad Birnbach at least once a week every year and we always look forward to eating in the Rottaler Stuben, but today it was so sad that we can't go there anymore. The service can really ruin everything tried to offer us a place, it was an unpleasant situation and you didn't feel welcome. It's a shame

We ordered a table. Unfortunately, none of the five waiters who rushed past us took notice of us. We found our table alone, unfortunately the waiter still didn't tell us after 15 minutes. By the way: also the one with “Excuse me!” The person called just looked at us and then moved on. As a waitress's harsh voice rang out to newcomers: "First come, first served." We had the second clear suspicion that we were doing the wrong thing here. We left without having accomplished anything, unnoticed by the staff...and found a nice, small, quiet restaurant where we weren't overlooked.

We were there for dinner last night and also held our Christmas party there last year. Staff very friendly, food really large portions, warm and fresh to the table. Ambience is very inviting. I have been to this inn since I was a child and it has always been modernly furnished. In my opinion, quality has not deteriorated. I love this inn because it brings back childhood memories. I think the food and drinks are very good and it's a Bad Birnbach "veteran"! So I really enjoy coming here. Unfortunately I can't rate the room because it's only a 5 minute walk to the restaurant :-). I was also very amazed at the price/performance ratio - for this money, I would happily invite my friends again. In short: large portions and very reasonable prices. Of course, restaurants have to keep up with the times and everything is becoming more expensive overall. It doesn't matter whether you're shopping in the supermarket or just going out to eat. Wir hatten ein Stubenpfandl zum Essen. Das Fleisch war kein Schweinefilet. Es war totgebraten fürchterlich gewürzt und meines Erachtens eine dünne Schweinelende. Auf die Frage zum Fleisch antwortete die Bedienung, dass es sicher Filetstücke sind, die aber bei ihnen so dünn geklopft werden. SCHADE, dass der Gast so verarscht wird. Ein klares minus.

I've never experienced anything like this before. We parked in a handicapped spot due to a severe foot injury. By chance, the manager of the restaurant appeared to be coming directly behind us in a vehicle that was also marked as disabled. We were shouted at rudely and told to move somewhere else. I then asked why the 3 additional disabled parking spaces were not enough for the lady. We then continued to be shouted at. After 2 minutes we parked to avoid further trouble. When we were in the restaurant we were informed by the waiter that the boss had ordered him not to serve us. So we were effectively thrown out of the restaurant. There were 4 handicapped parking spaces and all 4 were empty. I've never experienced anything like this in my entire life.

We were regulars here for years. This restaurant used to be a top address. Unfortunately the service is now very poor. The food is mediocre and the price is too high. We won't be coming back again.

Six years ago we ate here very often and were looking forward to the Bavarian cuisine. The disappointment was great. The service was very friendly. The food was probably already ready and was put in the microwave. Hot on the outside, lukewarm to cold on the inside. My Rottaler goulash with large pieces of meat with bread dumplings. No tasty sauce. Everything tasted very bland and could be compared to a Katine meal. I wasn't used to that. No trained chef at lunchtime? A pity. I hope that the old tradition of serving excellent food will return here. Then we'd love to come back.

A very comfortably furnished restaurant. The menu is very diverse. The staff is nice. Unfortunately we didn't have much time to study the entire map because of the heavy crowds, but you can quickly find something. It is definitely advisable to reserve a table.

Food extraordinarily super good

Average - we were only partially convinced... Brook trout really very good! “Paprika schnitzel” but with the same (sweet, chunky corn, pickle, pepper pieces, rotary European) sauce as “shish kebab pan”! The sauce was m.m.n. Not really suitable for either dish. Fries too light. “Stuben Pfandl” ok, but too dry/not enough sauce.

April 2nd, 5:30 p.m., lumberjack steak!! Lumberjack steak is cut from the neck or shoulder of the pig! These were two thin slices of schnitzel meat on cold fried potatoes from lunch. The portion was large and miserable, but it was quite fun in the kitchen. Something like that is BAD. 30 stays in Bad Birnbach and the former Wasner restaurant by Hansi Weber WELTEN. Never again, I eat worlds better at Imbis Metzger Lang.

Pretty crowded on Sunday lunchtime just before 12. Order was taken immediately. Drinks came promptly. Only the food took 35 minutes to arrive. The roast suckling pig and the potato dumpling were good, but the bread dumpling didn't taste good at all (in my opinion it was a factory product). Very nice service

We came by spontaneously on Easter Sunday. We wanted to enjoy a beer in the sun with sausage salad. As a guest you enter the terrace and you should always receive a friendly welcome. Friendliness, well. We then ordered something to drink and it was served after about 10 minutes. The card was printed especially for Easter. We just wanted a salad or sausage salad. At first we were promised, but after thinking about it for a while we were told that there was only that on the menu. We just weren't hungry for an 18€ meal per person. The request for a salad was skillfully ignored. Listening and responding to the guest was too much for the waitress, who preferred to serve other guests at the same time. After we announced that we wouldn't be eating, the cards were quickly and arrogantly taken away from us. At the next table we noticed that a couple also wanted to order something different (vegetarian) and that was not taken into account. We then drank and paid relatively quickly. After paying, a very unfriendly and snooty “have a nice Sunday”. This has never happened to us before and if you could give 0 stars I would.

There are friendly people everywhere, but unfortunately the attention leaves something to be desired. My sliced ​​turkey died twice, once while it was still flapping around and then again in the pan. The sliced ​​meat was cooked more than fried and was so dry that it was hard to eat. The sauce was actually ok, as were the hash browns. The walleye also died twice. Once when it was pulled out of the water and then in the pan...dry and tasteless. Our food literally gave you silicosis... ... you could hear giggling and chattering from the kitchen, so at least you were in a good mood

Maybe you had a bad day here. In any case, it was terrible for us. The meat was tough, the fish was fried dry! The waiter was inattentive and we had to pay afterwards because there was no room left on the table. However, loud laughter and a good mood could be heard in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we couldn't share the humor! 60€ for nothing!

Went to the restaurant last night and were seated in the last corner even though there were a number of nice tables free. The food and service was, as always, very good. But by 9 p.m. all the tables and chairs had been rearranged. You can also do it this way so that the guests leave the restaurant earlier and can ring in the end of the day more quickly. We definitely won't be reserving a table in the evening.

Ich war mit meiner Freundin schon öfters hier und wurden immer zuvorkommend behandelt..die Bedienug war immer flott unterwegs und sehr freundlich. Dass Essen war immer hervorragend.

Wir sind auf der Durchfahrt hier vorbei gekommen. Das Essen war spitz, besonders das Sauerkraut. Wie früher bei der Oma. Hier wird noch richtig gekocht, nicht bloß Dose auf. Die Portionen waren riesig, besonders zu erwähnen wäre das liebenswerte Personal.

Das Lokal ist schön - die Auswahl der Gerichte war ok / allerdings fehlte es teilweise an der Umsetzung - der Lachs war viel zu trocken, das Risotto nicht fertig und kalt, Semmelknödel zu pampig, Kartoffelknödel auch nicht so besonders gut gelungen - das Fleisch war gut die Preise im großen und ganzen ok / der Kellner „bemüht“ aber etwas gestresst. —- man setzt wohl eher auf die Kurgäste und ist nicht so sehr an Stammgästen aus der Region interessiert….

Sehr schöne eingerichtete Gaststube mit sehr netten Peronal und sehr guten Essen. Parkmöglichkeiten sind vorhanden. Direkt vor der Gastronomie und Gaststube. Direkt an der Hauptstraße. Über die Zimmer kann ich nichts sagen weil wir wo anders übernachten haben.

Die Speisen sind sehr gut, der Service ist sehr gut, alles gut.

Ein schönes, gemütliches Wirtshaus mit sehr guter Auswahl an Speisen, die auch noch sehr gut geschmeckt haben. Die Portionen waren absolut ausreichend, der Beilagensalat hat den Namen Beilagensalat verdient, heute nicht mehr selbstverständlich. Preis/Leistung Topp. Bestimmt bald wieder. Nur zu Empfehlen.

Schon beim Ankommen im Gasthaus wurden wir sehr freundlich an unseren Tisch geleitet. Die Kellnerin war schnell, gut gelaunt und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war hervorragend und der gute Service setzte dem noch die Krone auf. Wir können die Rottaler Stuben mit bestem Gewissen weiter empfehlen und kommen auch gerne selbst wieder her. 🥰

Netter Kellner, sehr bemüht und umsichtig. Leider ist die Küche nur Mittelmaß, aber das Essen kam schnell. Von den fünf Pfifferlingen mit Semmelknödel wurde hier schon berichtet. Die Reibedatschi sind Fertigware und die Kindernudeln können nicht mit Reibekäse bestellt werden. Für letztere wären Spirelli sicherlich besser als Tagliatelle. Aber das Bier schmeckt gut und ist kalt.

Lange Wartezeit . Schlechtes Essen

Immer wieder, wenn wir in Bad Birnbach sind (2mal im Jahr) ist unser 1. ABENDESSEN in den Rottaler Stubn. Immer gleich gut bleibende Qualität.

Leider haben wir heute sehr schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. Wir kamen an und haben sofort einen Platz bekommen. Für unsere Kinder haben wir Knödel und Soße bestellt. Wir haben insgesamt 1 std und 20 min auf das Essen gewartet. Wir haben die Kellnerin mehrmals gefragt ob es möglich sei, zumindest für den kleinen (3 Jahre) eine Ausnahme zu machen und ihm den Knödel früher zu bringen, weil er sehr hungrig ist. Irgendwann haben wir eine breze beim Bäcker nebenan geholt. Letztendlich hab ich mich bei der Kellnerin beschwert, dass uns zu keiner Zeit gesagt wurde dass die Wartezeit so lange wäre. Gerade weil ein Kleinkind seinen Hunger nicht gut aushalten kann. Ihre Antwort war: hier müssen alle Kinder warten. Die anderen schaffen das offensichtlich auch. Ich habe extra betont, dass sie persönlich nichts dafür kann und die Kritik das Management betrifft. Kurze Zeit später kam die Chefin des Hauses heraus und schrie mich an, dass die Kellnerin nun weint und ich mir dich denken kann dass die Wartezeiten lange sind, weil gerade Markt ist. Eine Stunde für einen Knödel und Soße wäre vollkommen normal. Vollkommen unreflektiert, dass meine Kritik sicher nicht die Ursache sondern nur der Auslöser dafür war, dass ihre Mitarbeiterin geweint hat. Die junge Frau war einfach komplett überfordert und die Ursache ist das schlechte Management des Services. Ich habe lange in der Gastronomie gearbeitet. Einen Knödel mit Soße für ein Kleinkind kann man sicher mal kurz dazwischenschieben. Auch ein paar nette Worte, wie z.B. wir entschuldigen uns für die Verspätung, mag der kleine in der Zwischenzeit ein bisschen Brot o.ä., wäre meiner Ansicht die richtige Reaktion. Die Chefin hat mich im Biergarten vor allen Gästen angeschrien. So etwas habe ich wirklich noch nie erlebt! Es ist ja nicht so, dass ich etwas kostenlos wollte. Wenn ich essen gehen, kaufe ich eine Dienstleistung mit ein und dazu gehört eben auch der Service. Ich bin wirklich immer noch geschockt.

Nachdem uns eine etwas unfreundliche Bedienung aus dem „neuen Biergarten“ verwiesen und uns auf Nachfrage, wegen Reservierung, der Platz im „alten Biergarten“ zugewiesen wurde, wurde es noch kurz eigenartig. Der ältere Ober, war wohl wegen irgendetwas oder jemand sehr angespannt und musste sich abreagieren. 🙈 Dann war er sehr nett und zuvorkommend, brachte für die Kinder eine Speisekarte zum ausmalen und zum Schluss was Süßes . Das Essen war gut, der Salat (vermutlich Fertigsalat) „nicht zu viel“. Sonst hat alles gepasst, allerdings mit früher nicht zu vergleichen. Grundsätzlich ok. Mann weis ja auch, dass es derzeit für die Gastronomie nicht gerade einfach ist und Personal gibts schon fast gar nicht. (Wegen der nicht geöffneten Terrasse) Wir wünschen dem Inhaber alles Gute und sagen Danke PS Hunde waren sehr willkommen

Die Zimmer der Rottaler Stuben sind sehr geschmackvoll und komplett eingerichtet. Die Sauberkeit ist vorzüglich. Das gebuchte Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Es wird sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Die Menükarte ist gut sortiert. Alle Speisen werden frisch zubereitet und sind sehr lecker. Wir können für die Rottaler Stuben eine absolute Empfehlung aussprechen.

Trotz vollem Biergarten würden wir schnell und aufmerksam bedient, es gab eine kleine Karte aber die reichte voll aus am 9.9.23 Samstag!
