Correct catering but much inferior to what we find in Bavaria.

We had lunch at the Gasthof Neuhaus in Berchtesgaden and had a wonderful visit! 🌞 The traditional and cozy atmosphere of the house immediately convinced us. The friendly and attentive staff in particular made our stay very pleasant. 😊 For dinner we had cheese noodles 🧀 and a quarter of duck 🦆 - both dishes were an absolute pleasure. The cheese noodles were wonderfully creamy and perfectly seasoned, while the duck was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Plus a delicious sauce – simply perfect! 👨‍🍳🍽️ The portion sizes were ideal for lunch, and we left full and happy. 😋 Gasthof Neuhaus is a great tip for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Bavarian cuisine in Berchtesgaden. We'll definitely be back!

The Gasthof Neuhaus impresses with its extremely tasty food. The schnitzel was very tasty and the price is definitely justified. The staff is very nice and there is nothing wrong with the authentic ambience as it fits the inn perfectly. I recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience!

Located in the middle of the city. Large Bavarian inn with a large terrace. We had the Berchtesgadener Bergkas-taschen as a vegetarian dish, the onion roast made from the saddle of beef and the Bavarian burger. Everything came to the table quickly and was prepared well and tastefully. The prices are absolutely fine. We went there a second time, this time again for the Bürger and the Wiener-style pork schnitzel and everything was fine again. The service is routine and appropriately friendly considering the busy nature of the restaurant.

The Gasthof Neuhaus surprised us positively. The food was really delicious - you can taste that the cooking here is done with love and skill. We were particularly impressed by the friendliness of the staff. The service was attentive and warm without being intrusive. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. Overall we can say: it was good all around. If you appreciate good food in pleasant surroundings, Gasthof Neuhaus is the right place for you. A clear tip for everyone who appreciates quality and good service.

The waiters will not make random recommendations just because foreigners don’t understand the menu. They will explain the contents of the dishes sincerely and make timely recommendations. The pig trotters and sausages are delicious, and the beer is delicious too

The food was even better. It was great that there was live Bavarian music on Sunday. Gabriel does a great job!!! Thank you for your attentive service. Portions were good, the onion roast was also very tasty. Unfortunately, the salad with the cheese dumplings had far too little dressing and was therefore very dry.

Es hat geregnet am 02.10.24, gegen 16.45, und als wir hinkamen, war die überdachte Terrasse brechend voll. Im Biergarten gab es 2 kleine überdachte Hütten, die Tische mit Besteck und Servietten gedeckt und die Hütten mit angeschalteter Beleuchtung. Wir sind also davon ausgegangen, dass man sich da hinsetzten kann, waren aber nicht sicher und dachten, wenn nicht, wird es schon jemand sagen....Wir setzten uns also hin und, obwohl wir mehrmals von den Bedienungen auf der Terrasse gesehen wurden, und nach 20 Minuten immer noch keiner kam, bin ich hoch gegangen und hab gefragt, ob wir uns da hinsetzen dürfen, und was bestellen könnten, wenns recht ist.... Eine Bedienung mit Lederhose und Osteuropäischen Akzent ( war so, völlig wertfrei !!!) meinte dann dort geht es nicht und wir sollen uns auf die Terrasse setzen.... Abgesehen davon, dass die Tische in den Hütten gedeckt waren und die Hütten mit Glühlampenketten beleuchtet und die Terrasse bei der Ankunft voll belegt war, kann man verlangen, dass einem das Personal nach 20 Minuten sagt, dass es dort nicht erlaubt ist, sich zu setzen.... Gesehen haben die uns 20 Minuten und nichts gesagt......Ist nicht das, was wir erwarten......Wir sind dann zum goldenen Bären und haben uns einem guten Essen und einer sehr freundlichen Bedienung erfreut.

The food was OK, maybe it would be tastier if we could try the pork shank and the pork neck roast with dumplings, unfortunately these dishes are not available between 12 and 6 p.m. 🙄 ... the schnitzel was ok, although I didn't really notice the clarified butter in the aroma of the cutlet 😉 . I recommend it either way.

Beautiful restaurant, the food and service were top notch!

Got the duck, schnitzel and burger. Duck was dry, schnitzel was average at best, and the burger was really good. For the sides, the red cabbage and sauerkraut were below average and the fries were great.

Everything just fits here! One of our favorite restaurants. The service is always friendly and on the ball, the food is served quickly and everything we've had so far is delicious. My absolute favorite is the Bavarian cream 😋

Too bad, too bad, too bad! For more than a decade, I have been coming to Berchtesgaden two to three times a year and therefore to the Neuhaus several times per stay. This year I was able to spend two longer stays in Berchtesgaden. And this time too with the desire to be able to enjoy the good food, drinks and the cozy ambience in the Neuhaus. However, this year I was deeply disappointed and surprised that no matter which visit to the Neuhaus I went to reserve a table for two people, I was always turned away because there were smaller parties in the house. The staff said that if I was lucky I could come by the next evening and see if I could find a place. My apologies, but I don't drive 30km to a restaurant during peak season, hoping to get a table or not, only to be turned away. Please do not forget that regular guests are a very important indicator of a good and functioning economy in a holiday resort. Or does the local catering industry want to abolish itself? I am very disappointed.

We had a fantastic time at the beer garden here. The servers were friendly, the food was delicious (I had the pumpkin gnocchi special) and the portions were rather large. You can’t beat this spot for people watching and enjoying the weather. There was even a live band (two accordions and one tuba). Take the time after taking in the views to stop here and enjoy their beers and some classic dishes.

The service took a while, but was super friendly! We had the very refreshing Neuhaus Spritzer and Helles. Both were great. We didn't eat anything and can't comment on that. However, what we saw looked good. Prices are a bit high, but still okay.

We stopped here and ate and drank very well. The service was always friendly and quick. Prices are aimed at tourism.

Centrally located, absolutely authentic inn with very tasty food and friendly service, which can also communicate with international guests 👍 Card payments are also accepted here and unfortunately this is still not possible everywhere in Bavaria 😉

Loved the food here. Well done traditional food with very friendly and helpful servers. Have a nice beer garden with two levels. Well seasoned food, except for the Spätzle, but adding it into the sauces on the other dishes did the trick. The texture was spot on and very good, just the broth was a bit too light. We had the original Nürnberger Rostbratwürstl (the sauerkraut was amazing), the Spätzle, Debreziner, and the semmelknödel (so good, like thanksgiving stuffing in a meatball). Would definitely recommend the food and the beer was great as well had a Hofbräu Hell Maß and Dunkel.

Food was very tasty! The waitress wasn't very friendly (we wanted to give her name) but everyone had a name tag on except the unfriendly waitress (gentlemen) with brown hair and a somewhat chubby face.

Really lovely traditional German restaurant. We'd just arrived in Berchtesgaden and the rain was coming down in sheets, so the warm dishes and comforting beer were perfect! Later in the week, once the rain finally subsided, we were able to enjoy the beer garden, which was just the spot to enjoy beer and sunshine.

We are visiting Berchtesgadener Land and wanted to have a good, home-style meal. It was very tasty, unfortunately the bread dumplings were a bit old and not fresh. :( Too bad... otherwise delicious!

The knuckle was crispy and tasty, but the meat could have been a little softer. The red cabbage with dumplings was absolutely great. Particularly noteworthy is the fresh horseradish, which rounds off the dish perfectly. Be warned: the spiciness may cause tears. The location could be a little brighter, but overall there's a good reason to come back.

Great atmosphere especially on Sundays with Bavarian orchestra. Enchanted with this place, the waiters are super friendly all dressed in typically Bavarian outfits. The food is excellent, but don't expect French meals. It's mostly sausages and pork. We still enjoyed it. I highly recommend and above all go to Berstengaden, a village with which we fell in love

Tried the half pork knuckle and the half Bavarian duck with orange sauce, red cabbage and potato dumpling. I've never had such a duck dish before and it tasted great albeit a little dry. The red cabbage side complemented the duck well however the sauce was a little salty. The pork knuckle was very good and filling and was a big portion. For dessert, I has the cake of the day which was a plum cake and it came with strawberries and berries and also tasted great, very worthwhile for 4euros.

Absolutely unusable for people with disabilities. Restaurant with canes or walker is unthinkable. There is no toilet. Unfriendly staff. Even cheeky towards disabled people.

We ate here on Corpus Christi. We were served very friendly and the drinks came quite quickly. Not a long wait! The knuckle was super tasty, absolutely well seasoned and super crispy! Price/performance ratio is consistent! There was live music played, traditionally Bavarian! A wonderful atmosphere! We liked it so much that we made another reservation for the next evening! I'm already looking forward to the next time!

Actually, I wouldn't give it a star. I always come back to Berchtesgaden and Neuhaus. But this time it was enough for us. The cellar runs around with a bad face. Drinks came very quickly. Food took a long time. And when we wanted to pay, we had to wait a long time. So the Neuhaus team is working on it.

We went there relatively late and the kitchen was about to close, so we begged him to order a meal for two. You can see in the picture that the portion was huge. It contains roast duck, roast pork ribs, pork knuckles, intestines, potato dumplings, vegetable meatballs, and a lot of sauerkraut, but it only costs 52€. Just when we thought this was based on quantity and the taste might not be exquisite, our eyes widened involuntarily when we took the first bite. This must be so delicious. Its main dishes are delicious and tender, the meat is full of juice, and the side dishes are not out of place. Every bite is a surprise. The acidity is just right and really balances the greasiness of the meat. Seeing this, I couldn't help but have expectations for Shuzibo, and sure enough! It did not disappoint me. The moment I ate it, my mouth was instantly filled with the sweetness of butter and potatoes, and I couldn't help but eat it one bite at a time. The only downside to this meal was that my appetite was too small to fit the entire plate of delicious food into my body, which was a pity.

The food is MEGA delicious. The steak was spot on. The portions are plentiful. With a view of the mountains, at the beginning of the pedestrian zone, you can't beat it. The staff was on point and very friendly. The waiting time was absolutely reasonable. After 10 minutes at the latest, the food was served.

Probably my favorite dining experience I've ever had in Germany. Sat outside on an absolutely gorgeous May evening with my wife while i had beers and blood sausage. The staff are so painfully friendly and everybody is in a good mood. This biergarten was truly heaven on earth for me.
