On the positive side, it should be mentioned that the beer was refreshing and tasty and the service tried hard. What I found less positive was that I got a different dish than what I ordered, which was also rather semi-tasty and they wanted to charge for the extra price first. Not worth repeating for me!

If I want to go out to eat in Bavaria/Berchtesgaden... I expect a traditional, quaint, cozy inn with super good food where you can tell when you eat it that it was prepared with love and a lot of experience! You can also expect sociable waiters with wit and the typically wonderful Bavarian hospitality! You get all of that 100% in this inn! We were on vacation and looked for a place to have lunch and went to the Watzmann if we were lucky! Our 1 year old daughter immediately got a children's chair (even the rustic one made of wood, as it should be) and also her own plate without having to ask for it! The waitress was very helpful and exactly what you would imagine! Hospitable! The food was simply great, so we went to the same restaurant again on the second day of our vacation and weren't disappointed that day either! There are two dogs running around but they are not a nuisance! The hosts also take care of animal welfare, which means an additional point! If there were still rooms in this inn, we would already know where the quarter in Berchtesgaden would be next year! Everything was top notch, the food was a dream and the price was not exorbitant for a tourist area! Please keep it up and stay as you are! We'll definitely be back, we still have to try the pork knuckle! greetings from Austria

We are on vacation in Bavarian Main and wanted to have dinner there after a trip. The order for drinks was only taken after we were alerted. The food came COLD after OVER AN HOUR! There was no response when this was addressed. My partner's portion for the money was meager. Waitresses overwhelmed. Unfortunately, we weren't the only ones who were angry. Hence the first and last visit. Location rather stupid for parking due to construction site. Please plan time there!

Good food at reasonable prices in a rustic atmosphere

Went here for tea. It is situated just up the road from the Tourist Information Office, on the opposite side of the road. If you are lucky on an evening you can find a car parking space opposite. There was plenty of space and we sat in the corner near a couple with a young baby. The baby cried all the time we were there, because he was tired, but his dad worked really hard to soothe him. We weren't bothered even though dad was very apologetic. Babies should be heard, even when they cry. We had some tea and my wife opted for what was something like a liver dumpling for starters. The food was lovely although the liver resembled something of a dump in a salad bowl. I nearly made the mistake of ordering two main meals instead of a starter and mains. The young waitress was lovely and she nearly knocked our drinks over twice. She was very apologetic though. We paid just over 50 Euro's for the food and had no complaints

Just wow ! Were there today, the food was a 5/5, everything was fresh, zero convenience and absolutely to the point. Total waiting time for fresh food. The service (young lady with a great long braid) was super warm, in a good mood and close to the guest. The ambience is exactly as you would expect from an inn, with a lot of love and a thousand details, and the price is more than just. The Kaiserschnarrn was the highlight!

A very, very old restaurant with really old funny pictures. I'm 60 years old and I just don't think it's contemporary anymore with so much graffel in the dining room and the old tablecloths. The food was also pretty tasteless and schnitzel with fries 18.- without a salad, Hmm I won't go in anymore. The owner had absolutely no understanding of a small business. Criticism and I was VERY gentle

Unfortunately the food was tasteless and the fries were not cooked through, no salad and the schnitzel was 2mm thick? What can I say, and for €17.50. We were already wondering why we were the only guests on Sunday lunchtime.

We had the dish of the day: goulash with bread dumplings, the dumplings are homemade and very good. We would come back to eat.

Very friendly service and delicious food.

A good, middle-class, rustic inn with very funny and lively service and excellent cuisine. The portions are large and taste great. Even special requests were addressed without any problems. Price-performance ratio is absolutely correct. Go there, try it out and go home full and satisfied.

My partner and I ate there. The interior looks a little “dated”. But that doesn't bother us. Everything in the inn was clean. The price of the food wasn't cheap, of course, but the food offered there isn't cheaper anywhere else. The medallions with the cheese spaetzle and the Jägerschnitzel with spaetzle were very tasty and high quality. We enjoyed it. What particularly stood out was the service person, a nice young lady. She was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely come there again.

Very tasty food, tasty beer, pleasant environment, great service!

Catastrophe! Food was cold. We ordered roast pork and onion roast. Fried potatoes were cold and the ready-made sauces were not seasoned. There were carelessly cold onion balls on the entire roast. Ordered medium but served dry and well done. At a pub like this, in this prominent location and at these prices, you expect quality and food preparation from a chef. We haven't eaten so badly in a long time.

Wir kamen zufällig mit Hunger vorbei und würden mit ehrlicher, bayrischer und sehr wohlschmeckender Küche beglückt. Bodenständiges Wirtshaus, mit gemütlichen Ecken, sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Bedienung. Wir wurden rundum wunderbar versorgt, Extrawünsche wurden sofort freundlich angenommen. Jedes unserer Gerichte, war frisch zubereitet, das Schnitzel in Butterschmalz in der Pfanne gebraten, köstlich, bekömmlich und zart. Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Für uns war der Schweinebraten "aufgewärmt" , Kraut "5 mal aufgewärmt" Soße lauwarm "Fertigsoße" , Teller schon kalt beim servieren, Salat nur mit Essig angemacht. Wir sind oft beim Mittagessen in BGL aber sowas haben wir noch nicht bekommen. Sehr liebloses Haus, der Gastraum war leer, von wegen keine Zeit. Einmal und nie Wieder!!!!

Wir waren zu zweit hier im Restaurant speisen, aber fanden es nicht so angenehm. Das Essen war zwar mit großen Portionen, aber nicht so gut, wie wir es bei dem Preis erwartet hatten. Das Jägerschnitzel war zwar lecker, aber leider zu durch und bissfest. Das Ambiente ist auch sehr rustikal, das Restaurant war kühl geheizt und bereits in die Jahre gekommen. Die Sanitären Anlagen sind ebenfalls deutlich älter und könnten eine Sanierung vertragen. Es kann ja alles auf Alt sein, aber sollte schon etwas ordentlicher bei dem Preis aussehen.

Lokales Restaurant mit bayrischen Spezialitäten. Gut im Dorf gelegen und grosse Auswahl an Speisen. Bedienung sehr schnell und freundlich mit Humor und Witz.

Super nettes Personal. Sehr Hunde und Kinder freundlich. Haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Preise Top Essen war sehr lecker

Waren dieses Jahr zum ersten Mal in diesem Gasthaus. Das Personal superaufmerksam und das Essen einfach nur unbeschreiblich gut. Wer typisch bayrisch essen möchte, ist hier perfekt aufgehoben. 5 von 5 Sternen. Auch unser Hund wurde herzlich aufgenommen und hat sofort Wasser bekommen. Wir kommen bei unseren nächsten Besuch auf jeden Fall wieder.

Nach zig Anrufen in örtlichen angeblichen In- Restaurants für eine Tischreservierung, wurde man teils recht schroff abgewiesen, aber hier im Watzmann war es anders. Eine nette Dame hat uns für 4 Personen sofort zugesagt und auch unsere Fragen zu Speisen ohne Hektik am Telefon beantwortet. Im Lokal dann eine überaschend umfangreiche Speisekarte. Auch Vegetarier werden hier mit eigener Sparte fündig. Das Essen war super! Die Wartezeit zeugte wohl davon, dass hier frisch zubereitet wird was man auch schmeckte. Große und leckere Portionen, nette Bedienung und ein angenehmes Ambiente runden alles ab. Also wir kommen in jedem Falle wieder, großes Lob!

Essen perfekt.... Bier perfekt....Kräuterschnaps Hirschkuss oder so.... der Hammer. Die Bedienung.... sehr sehr kompetent. Also.... wenn Berchtesgaden dann dieses Gasthaus.

Ein wohl sehr altes und traditionelles Bayrisches Gasthaus mit Ditz in Berchtesgaden. Direkt an der Straße gelegen, besticht es durch seine einladende Terrasse. Einer der wichtigsten Faktoren ist wohl der Service in so einem Gasthaus. Diesen kann ich mit normal freundlich beschreiben. So wie man sich wünscht bedient zu werden, so treten die Mitarbeiter auch auf. Freundlichkeit wurde uns sofort entgegengebracht. Allerdings in einem völlig normalen Maße Der zweit größte Punkt ist natürlich das Essen. Ich habe Käsespätzle bestellt. Als kleinen Vorgang bekam ich einen Salatteller. Für den ersten Hunger sehr gut. Die Spätzle wurden traditionell in einer kleinen Steingut bzw. Guss-eisernen Pfanne serviert. Qualitativ, sowohl geschmacklich, als auch dekorations-technisch war das Essen spitze. Fazit: Service gut, Essen top, Lage gut. Ich empfehle auf alle Fälle weiter.

In unserem viertägigen Aufenthalt in Berchtesgaden besuchten wir das Gasthaus tatsächlich drei mal. Die Bedienung machte jeden Spaß mit, war freundlich und schlagfertig. Auch mussten wir nie lange auf unser Bier warten. Das Essen war einfach nur Top und das Preis-, Leistungsverhältnis war für diese Region auch in Ordnung. Eine absolute Empfehlung. 5 von 5 Sternen! Bis nächstes Jahr...

Wir waren heute zum 2 mal dort essen und schon wie das letzt mal war es sehr lecker. Ein richtig gutes und uriges Wirtshaus. Kann es nur weiter empfehlen. Wir werden sehr gerne wieder kommen wenn wir in der Nähe sind. Der Preis passt, das Essen und Trinken ist sehr gut. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam. Wer kein bling bling braucht ( gibt's 3 Straßen weiter im 5* hotel aber halt für den doppelten Preis) wird sich hier wohl fühlen. Wir, meine Frau meine 2 Kinder und ich waren zufrieden. Danke für den tollen Abend.

Wir wollten den Laden eine 2te Chance geben ,aber wir waren noch enttäuschten wie beim ersten Mal,und die Katastrophalen Zustände,die Inhaberin fühlt sich genervt und will ihr Essen für frisch verkaufen ,ne ist es nicht es ist eine Katastrophe und dann die Sanitären Anlagen die riechen nicht sie stinken nach alten Urin und in dem Restaurant selber überall schmutz und Schimmel ,leute lasst es lieber und sucht euch ein tolles Restaurant mit frischer Küche und nicht mit den Guten Tip Produkten wie der Eistee man sollte ihn nicht auf dem Tresen Öffentlich stehen lassen

Rostbraten war eine Katastrophe, gesamter Hauptgang war kalt, Salat kam nach dem Essen.... Die 2Sterne gibt's für die freundliche Bedienung und den Kaiserschmarrn.

Wir haben hier draußen gesessen und gegessen. Grundsätzlich Preis-Leistung gut, aber der Knödel war leider sehr fest. Nicht richtig gar oder zu viel Stärke. Das war etwas schade.

so oft war ich insgesamt hier und jedes Mal begeistert. Wäre froh wenn es in meinem Umkreis so ein tolles Lokal gäbe. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und professionell. Macht weiter so und lasst euch nicht unterkriegen.
