Good food, but seat under the roof very warm. Better to wait for a seat in the beer garden. Beef roulade was good but cooked for too long, so it was a bit dry. The pork fillet was also very cooked and dry on the salad.

Always happy in the summer since 1997!

Delicious food in a rustic restaurant

Had dinner outside in the beer garden. Once cordon bleu, dumpling with sauce and twice schnitzel. The schnitzel and the CB were all well prepared, but the execution was very simple, I found a side salad a bit too little for three plates and there was only potato salad as a side dish, which didn't go down well with my little one. The food didn't come at the same time, I was allowed to sit there and watch the rest of my family eat until the CB came. For your information: if you want to have a new experience eating Cordon Bleu, you are welcome to stop here, because here you can get CB with Camembert. I personally enjoyed it. I like eating white mold cheese, but I was missing the ham, which is expected with a CB. Not a bad meal at all. We weren't dissatisfied, but we didn't stay dissatisfied either.

The service is super nice and accommodating. We sat in the cozy beer garden and felt very comfortable. The food was very tasty. We'd love to come back.

An excellent restaurant, not an overly long menu, which indicates the quality of the food. Nice service, the needs of the guests are taken into account. Even during the meal you are asked again whether everything is okay. And this in times when staff in the catering industry is scarce. Nice beer garden with very comfortable beer benches. We'd love to come back!

We have been coming to this inn for a very long time. The food and service is always GREAT...the ambience is as it should be for an inn...you can also sit nicely in the garden.

Great schnitzel, great value for money

Food and drinks are way too overpriced. I've never had such a bad sauce for roast pork. It stretched like rubber gelatin stuff. The potato salad is inedible. The service lady with the blonde curls didn't smile, she could work on her friendliness... there's definitely room for improvement. Absolutely not recommended!!!

Very tasty cuisine! Went off the highway while passing through and came here for lunch. Every dish was very, very good and the service was very service-oriented. A very big recommendation to stop here if you are in the area. It's a very idyllic place to sit outside and chat to others at the large tables.

A very nice, old-fashioned restaurant with delicious Franconian dishes. The young waitress we had was very friendly. The food was sufficient, tasty and fresh. We had the schnitzel with potato salad. We can only recommend this inn. Keep it up....

We went there spontaneously. We ate roast pork once with dumplings and once with pretzel dumplings. As a starter there was asparagus cream soup. One of the best I've ever eaten. All in all very recommendable.

We found this place on a coincidence and were very happy with the services, the area and restaurant and of course the food! We will definitely stop here again if we are driving by in the future.

Still good, large portions, but the prices have increased dramatically...nothing cheap. And be careful, traffic control shows no mercy, parking 13m away from the bus stop sign now costs €55.00

This is still an inn like it used to be. A menu with regional offerings. Very warm service and very fair prices. This will be my favorite again the next time I'm in the region.

The visit is worth it: very friendly service and extremely tasty food. We will be back. The ambience corresponds to a typical village inn, simply clean and good, one of the guest rooms has already been renovated and looks great.

Home-style cooking and friendly service

This is where the local folks go, so you know it's good. Not a tourist trap, the food was so fresh-best schnitzel and risotto ever! Cozy atmosphere. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend!!

Waren in der Vergangenheit öfters hier essen. Gestern allerdings das letzte Mal. Die Preise sind unverhältnismäßig gestiegen. 3 Bratwürste mit Kartoffelsalat - der noch dazu nicht geschmeckt hat, da viel zu sauer - für 13,40 € und ein kleines Cola für 3,60 € sind schlechthin eine Unverschämtheit. Da kann ich in der Innenstadt Nürnbergs wesentlich besser und preisgünstiger in einem schöneren Ambient essen. Ich kann von einem Besuch dort nur abraten.

Speisen einpacken lassen kostet 2€ zusätzlich, außer dir langt Alufolie. Salat war nicht so mein Geschmack, eher was für Freunde der Essig Note. Kruste vom Schäuferle war ziemlich perfekt. Krustenbraten war sehr durchwachsen. Schweinebraten war schon ganz gut. Klöße waren gut. Portionen sind Relativ gut, gibt auch kleine Portionen. Ist aber nicht auf der Karte vermerkt. Ansonsten sehr teuer hier geworden.

We ate delicious schnitzel. Even the salad siding it was delicious. I liked the seasoning they used for the salad. Also, the service was super fast. The food came very quick and warm.

Wie jedes Jahr nach der Weihnachtsfeier am Freitag, am Samstag zum Gasthof Mais. Ist immer wieder ein Höhepunkt in der Vorweihnachtszeit und wir kommen jedes Jahr gerne aus dem Ruhrgebiet hier hin. Essen, Trinken und Service einfach Spitze, vielen Dank ans ganze Team.

Wir waren heute mit der Familie dort essen. Beim Gasthof Mais handelt es sich um eine gutbürgerliche, bodenständige Wirtschaft mit Außenbereich. Der Innenraum sieht teils renoviert aus und fühlt sich nach wie vor urig an. Der Service war hervorragend, die beiden Bedienungen sehr aufgeweckt und zuvorkommend. Zum Beispiel wurde uns sehr schnell ein Kinderstuhl oder ein kleiner Teller gebracht. Auch essenstechnische Wünsche wurden sogar unter eigener Mithilfe ermöglicht. Wir hatten Koteletts, Bratwürste mit Kraut, Schweinebraten (Foto) und der extra angerichtet vegane Teller mit Bratkartoffeln und Gemüse (Foto). Die Salate zur Vorspeise waren frisch und knackig, das Dressing nicht zu sauer. Allen Beteiligten am Tisch hat es sehr geschmeckt. Kulinarisch und bedingt durch den freundlichen Service kann man den Gasthof nur empfehlen.

Waren zum ersten Mal dort. Hatten reserviert. Service sehr freundlich und schnell. Essen war super lecker und reichlich. Preise sind für die Portionen völlig angemessen. Reservieren lohnt sich auf alle Fälle. Außerdem gibt es auch einen schönen Aussenbereich. Hunde sind erlaubt.

Abbiamo cenato qui essendo di passaggio. È stata una piacevole sorpresa. Clima familiare che ci ha messo subito a nostro agio. Accoglienza e servizio ottimi. Cibo casalingo di buona qualità! Davvero simpatici, disponibili e gentili.
