A beer at the bar shortened the wait for the next available table. A very warm and accommodating host family, a very lovingly decorated ambiance, and delicious food to boot. It is what it is. At Kemper, everything is always just right. He has Veltins, Warsteiner, and Krombacher on tap. His wife tries to read your order from your lips, while the chef takes care of the drinks. All credit goes to the chef, too, because the food is top-notch, if you can say so yourself. I haven't been disappointed at any restaurant in Bad Westernkotten yet, which makes it difficult for me to try restaurants nearby. Keep it up.

We visited the restaurant two evenings in a row for a short vacation. Four dishes – all excellent! We also tried the drinks menu and can only say the same! Some dishes are a bit on the high side, but the service, quality, portion size, and ambiance are worth it! :)

We ate there seven months ago, and last night the owner immediately mentioned my daughter's name. We didn't have a table reservation, but they were happy to offer us a very good seat anyway. The food and white wine were just as delicious as always!

My husband and I went to the Gasthof Kemper this evening for a nightcap. Very nice, cozy atmosphere. You immediately feel comfortable. My husband drank the best non-alcoholic wheat of his life, fresh from the barrel. We'll be back in the next few days and then we'll enjoy ourselves there. The menu is full of delicacies. Then I will too write something to eat. See you soon.

Prices like in the pharmacy. Of course, everything has become more expensive these days, but that was very exaggerated! The sauce and champions were very artificial!! The service was sometimes a flop. Especially from the boss. It was definitely better.

Yesterday evening, after our visit to the thermal baths, we were guests at the Gasthof Kemper. My girlfriend ordered the braised meat on the house's recommendation and I ordered Surf&Turf. We really enjoyed the food! The service was very friendly and accommodating. We would visit the restaurant again on our next visit to the region!

We had a table in the bar area and it was definitely too loud and uncomfortable for us. When washing the glasses, the brush rattled loudly and one thing ultimately led to another. But - the food was delicious and the service was friendly and quick.

Rarely have I had such good and friendly service, great food and reasonable price-performance ratio. We made reservations again for the next evening and were not disappointed. It's also very good that individual dishes are available as small dishes.

I am currently in rehab in Bad Westernkotten. I've been to Kempers twice now and can only report positive things. The ambience, the food and the service are simply first class. The portions are just right. Very tasty. And are served with love. I ate the schnitzel lasagna and was thrilled. The selection of drinks is also impressive. Sasse Lagerkorn and Der Haselnuss-Brand are recommended here. I will definitely come again.👍

We visited the Kemper several times during our stay in Bad Westernkotten and each time we were greeted with warm welcome from the owners. The food choice is excellent and well presented. They have a few different beers on tap, all were very good. The Kemper is ideally located in the centre of the village and always had a good amount of customers in when we visited. There aren't many options for going out in Bad Westernkotten, but the 'shop' is really great. The cuisine is good, home-style and yet very diverse. I had Cordon Blue and my son Wiener Schnitzel, both veal. This can feed an entire battalion. The service was courteous and friendly. Given that the store was so busy, we got drinks and food quickly. So, I can only recommend 👌🏼👍

We registered by phone at very short notice. That wasn't a problem at all. We were welcomed very friendly and escorted to the table. The atmosphere is very cozy and rustic. The service was very polite and attentive. The food tasted really good. We particularly liked the fact that almost all dishes were offered in two sizes. So we were able to order a small appetizer to go with it. Each dish comes with a small, fresh salad. The portions were optimal. Everyone gets full, but you don't have that "I'm about to burst" feeling. I also noticed that it wasn't child-friendly. There are high chairs for the little ones and a changing table is also available. It was a very beautiful evening. Will definitely come back.

We had an unforgettable, beautiful and above all delicious evening here. What a wonderful atmosphere. I ate Königsberger Klopse and my wife ate the herring tip. What a delicious sauce with capers and the fluffy meatballs. Plus an incredibly delicious beetroot salad. The herring tip was very delicately prepared and the fried potatoes were exactly how they should be. In addition, the very friendly service, fresh Veltins on tap and then the great schnapps from Sasse. We'll definitely be back soon and would definitely try the Wiener Schnitzel as our neighbors at the next table couldn't stop raving about it. I would also have liked to give 10 stars.

Very great and quaint “dining place”. Super delicious food and very nice staff. Reservation seems sensible. We were there on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was very busy. If it wasn't so far away (330km), I would become a regular.

Cozy inn with Westphalian dishes. I enjoyed the “big beans with fried potatoes and Mettwurst”. Very good. The inn is also a recognized institution for combating under-hopping: it serves Pott's Landbier. I'd love to come back.

Wir fahren extra 1,5 h für dieses Restaurant! Ich kenne es aus der Reha und seitdem kehren wir regelmäßig zurück! Das Personal ist total herzlich und freundlich! Das Lokal ist schön urig und gemütlich. Heute hatten wir, wie im letzten Jahr, den Rehrücken mit Rosenkohl und Kartoffelkürbispüree. Spitzenklasse! Besser geht es nicht! Butterzart, toller Geschmack! Das Püree perfekt abgestimmt! Toll! Einfach toll! Wir hatten schon verschiedene Gerichte und waren stets begeistert!! Wir kommen immer wieder!

Absolut leckere und reichliche Gerichte in rusrikalem Ambiente.

Wir haben hier sehr gut gegessen, 4 Personen und ein kleiner Hund. Die Bedienung war sehr nett, das Essen vorzüglich. Empfehlenswert!

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit im Gasthof Kemper feiern dürfen und sind von der Küche und vom Service einfach überwältigt. Es hat einfach alles gepasst! Die Chefin hat den Gastraum traumhaft schön und sehr detailverliebt dekoriert. Das Essen wurde als Flying Buffet serviert und war ein Traum! Der schnelle, freundliche und kompetente Service rundete unsere Feier einfach perfekt ab. Hier trifft man auf einen Familienbetrieb der sein Handwerk nicht nur versteht sondern lebt und liebt. Wir danken Euch und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Ein toller Gasthof. Super leckeres Essen ( Bayrische Wochen). Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir waren angenehm überrascht und kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder.

Hier gibt es leckeres Essen. Zur Oktoberfestzeit auch eine Karte mit bayrischem Essen und Bier! Der Service ist super! Die Dame die uns bedient hat, war freundlich und sehr nett. Wir werden dort bestimmt wieder essen gehen.

Seit langen Jahren ein super Ort zum Essen. Sogar alkoholfreies gezapftes Weizen im Angebot. Leider zu wenig vegetarische Alternativen. Die aber lecker. Ansonsten toll!

Eigentlich sollte unsere Abendveranstaltung in einer anderen Location stattfinden, wo wir aber mit einer kurzfristigen Schließung konfrontiert wurden. Im Endeffekt war das ein Glück! Die 45 Gäste fanden auf der (mobil) überdachten Terrasse Platz, wir wurden bestens versorgt und die Abendveranstaltung - ein essentieller Bestandteil unserer Brandschutzveranstaltung am Folgetag - war gerettet! Alle haben von der tollen Atmosphäre, dem leckeren Essen und dem aufmerksamen und freundlichen Service geschwärmt. Sogar der vegane Gast hat wie selbstverständlich ein veganes Menü erhalten. Man merkt, dass hier Menschen am Werk sind, die ihren Beruf mit Leidenschaft machen. Herzlichen Dank noch einmal aus Köln nach Erwitte!

Wer in Bad Westernkotten weilt sollte auf jeden Fall im Gathof Kemper einkehren (ab17:00 geöffnet). Zu empfehlen ist es im Vorfeld eine Reservierung vorzunehmen. Die Speisen sind durch die Bank zu empfehlen. Auch an vegane Gerichte wird hier gedacht. Die Mitarbeiter und auch Chef(in) sind sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Getränke kommen zügig und sind gut gekühlt. Wir hatten das Glück zur Oktoberfest-Saison hier zu speisen. Die Haxe ist knusprig und butterzart. Alleine hierfür 5*. Das Ochsengulasch ist zum Niederknien. Aber auch die Gerichte auf der "normalen" Karte sind sehr lecker.

Ich bin total begeistert. Als Veganer voll auf die Kosten gekommen. Ohne eine einzige Umbestellung. Es hat super gut geschmeckt und die Portionen waren riesig. Macht gerne weiter so. Wir kommen wieder.

Auch die anderen Speisen - zwar reichhaltig- aber nur durchschnittlich..Deko fehlt…da müssen wir noch ein bisschen Gastronomie üben!
