Gasthaus zur Tenne Inh. Wolfgang Speicher in Heusweiler

After a Sunday walk, we ate here. The ambiance is, of course, very rustic, as one would expect in a traditional shooting club, but the noise level was a bit too high for my taste. The service was good; we were constantly refilled with drinks and very well looked after. Now for the food. We were there with a large group, and almost everyone ordered schnitzel. The schnitzel and sauce were a 10/10, 5 stars! The value for money is absolutely perfect. However, there is one small but significant point of criticism, and that is the side salad, or rather, the dressing. None of us liked it. Perhaps an alternative (yogurt or cream dressing) could be offered.

2 hours delivery time for 2 salads…

We ate there today because we received a gift voucher. Our first impression was that it was very well-kept and in a beautiful location. We were greeted by a very nice lady, and our dog was very welcome. By the way, dogs are only allowed in the large dining room and not in the other smaller rooms out of consideration for other guests. I think that's great! We sat outside with a beautiful view of the surrounding fields. The lady served us very friendly and was very accommodating! The food was fantastic! You can tell there's a real chef there who knows his craft. Everything is homemade and fresh! The dog kennel in Heusweiler is a must for anyone who appreciates good food! We will be back.

We reserved a table for two people yesterday, and today, when we were there, unfortunately, they didn't have one available for us. We had to wait in the entrance. There were several free tables, but they were for four or more people. The manager then told us there must have been some confusion and told us we wouldn't get a table. We were sent away. I think he probably earned more money from the other tables. We order from there so often and always eat there. Not in the future. This kind of behavior from a manager and in general is completely unacceptable. Very unprofessional. We felt really stupid. We won't be coming back. Impossible!
