We have been here many times and always enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the food has declined recently. Portions were sometimes much smaller (onion roast was ridiculously small today...) and also some components were 'convenience' goods, the mixed salad came with lettuce stalks... Service was very friendly and quick. And to be fair: we complained about the onion roast and... were offered a dessert as compensation. Hopefully the quality and price-performance ratio will be like before...would be a shame for this Bavarian restaurant...

Unfortunately, cheese spaetzle were really watery and unseasoned, absolutely overpriced, but 6 people said their food tasted just ok. I used to really enjoy going but I've slowed down a lot.

I am absolutely thrilled after the reopening. Nice modern Bavarian atmosphere. Very good food, the onion roast is highly recommended. The service is also super nice. All other dishes also looked very good. It is cooked regionally with fresh ingredients, you can taste it. Until next time and compliments to the new boss and his team.

The service is unfriendly and very slow. A colleague wanted the menu because he doesn't eat spareribs and was told literally (that's not possible because the service had already ordered spareribs without asking first. He could order another meal with it.) It doesn't meet the needs in any way of the guest. I've worked in the catering industry for years but I've never encountered anything like this before. Once and never again!!! Definitely not recommended!!!

Me and my husband were looking for a place to eat on a Sunday around our hotel and this restaurant was one of the only ones that was open. It did not disappoint. The food is really good, great portion size and even though the staff has limited English, they are very helpful and friendly. The price is a bit high but considering it was one of the only open ones in the area, it justifies.

Service was extremely slow. After we had to wait a bit to order, things continued: We had to ask for the bill 4 times and then paying by card didn't work...

We are very happy to have discovered this inn. The service is top and the food leaves nothing to be desired. We were particularly impressed by the Kaiserschmarren, it really is a poem. But the cheese spaetzle are also super tasty. We'd love to come back!

Service great, friendly and fast. The food itself was okay. However, the price-performance ratio is not right here. For almost 20€ the mail steak with fried potatoes, which is just a thinly sliced ​​chicken breast fillet covered in sweet chilli sauce, or the filet plate for almost 30€, which is not worth the money compared to other restaurants in the area. There was no salad with any meal and unfortunately the Kaiserschmarrn at the end didn't taste good at all. We weren't convinced during our previous visit, but wanted to give the restaurant another chance. Unfortunately this was the last time.

We arrived and asked for our table, the ladies in the beer garden weren't that motivated and couldn't agree on who wanted us in their service area - despite a reservation. I ordered an Aperol Spritz and a wine spritzer, both of which were so watery that you'd think they were non-alcoholic. My food wasn't that good, I had to add salt to the fried potatoes and they weren't really fried potatoes. The Kaiserschmarren wasn't fluffy either. My meal and drink cost me 52.00 euros. It wasn't my taste.

Cozy, but not what a beer garden is intended for. Bringing people together, sitting together, long tables... That wasn't it. Everything else is fine. Delicious beer (Augustiner), service dressed as it should be, great atmosphere!

We went to the Gasthaus zur Post with the family for lunch on Sunday. The food was brought to the table quickly and was freshly prepared. There are also new daily offers on a regular basis. The service is nice and the atmosphere is very familiar. The order was brought to the table very quickly. The price-performance ratio is completely appropriate. There are enough places so pre-ordering was not absolutely necessary. There is free parking in front of the house. All in all, highly recommended and we will be back.

I had the mail steak and was unfortunately disappointed. A small piece of meat with a pile of sambal olek and greasy fried potatoes. Unfortunately not enough for over €20. However, others in my group had, for example, roast beef or roast pork. That was exciting and good. The service could be faster and better.

We were there for dinner on May 21, 2024 with 4 people. The asparagus soup tasted disgustingly like Maggi, as did every other meal we ordered. The service was very cold and uninterested, the landlord himself behind the counter didn't even know that you say hello and goodbye to his guests. Before the change you ate well there, now you can forget the cuisine, it's just a makeshift mess and it's disgusting and bland in taste, but to compensate for that it's expensive. We won't go there anymore for sure.

We had our wedding dinner here and were impressed by the friendliness of the staff. The portions are good and big!

This was our first meal in Germany after arriving in Munich. The spare rib special was a good deal and the server brought more as soon as they finished their plate. Beer was tasty, light and refreshing. Menu is only in German and hand written so it was difficult to read quickly (only one in our party has any German knowledge and he’s not fluent). Waitress did speak some English and recommended items that were all fantastic. 2 of us got spare ribs, my son got jaeger schnitzel and I had a beef steak topped with onions that was wonderful. Apple strudel was also yummy. Overall a very pleasant meal!

Good Bavarian economy with a rustic atmosphere

This restaurant used to be a really great restaurant, with very good Bavarian cuisine. Unfortunately the kitchen has deteriorated considerably. The service also leaves a lot to be desired. We were there twice with a large party. We had to wait a long time for our drinks and ordering more wasn't easy either. In some cases we had been left high and dry for a long time.

A real Bavarian restaurant with a beer garden. Nice service staff, excellent quality and fair prices. Changing weekly menu for inexpensive lunch menus, daily menu. In short: we go there more often :-)

Were here with 12 people. The best roast pork I've ever eaten! We all loved the food!!

We've eaten at "Zur Post" twice now. The pushy waiter gives you dry pretzels or salad, all of which are of course charged extra. The taste of the food is very good, half of the roast pork consists of fat and flab, the crust on the knuckle is hard and inedible. The waiter, who generally seems very arrogant, complains loudly when the tip isn't enough and tells you through the flower that you don't need to come there anymore. That was very rude and we will eat somewhere else in the future.

Exactly how it should be. Top food, Augustiner beer, nice service. And the best thing: warm food throughout and no day off.

Yesterday, after a few months, I was at the "Gasthaus zur Post" again for all-you-can-eat spare ribs... there were four of us in total and we made it to the 4th helping... I just have to say that this is really one of the few authentic inns in Munich, where you get something for your money and it's really tasty...so just stop by for a spare rib meal...it's usually on 2 days a month.. .usually the first Tuesday and Wednesday of the month... Food was very mixed. The knuckle was very good, but I missed the second dumpling. The portion of Jägerbraten was quite small and not a big hit. Roast pork was very fatty (40%) and there was only one dumpling. Kaiserschmarrn and apple strudel are recommended. Service seemed a bit haphazard at times. The price is a bit high for the performance offered.

We had reserved tables for 16 people for December 15th. When we arrived, the very unfriendly waitress said that there was no reservation or a reservation for December 17th. was registered. Even on the phone, the service in question was rudely unfriendly and simply hung up. We were assigned tables and sat down, then the “lady” in question came and sat us in the next row. Just as we were about to make ourselves comfortable, she came back and sat us in the last corner of the hall. Eat! A guest ordered pork medallions. One of the pieces of meat was beyond pink. She let the plate go back with the request to fry the meat a little more. When the plate came back, it looked as if there were pork schnitzels on it. The consistency wasn't like a fillet either. She then pointed this out to our very, very friendly waitress. The girl brought the plate back into the kitchen. Then the rude waitress came with the same plate and argued with the guest. This is the fillet, the cook pressed it together so that the fillet is cooked through. How stupid do you think your guests are? The guest was understandably so upset that she canceled her meal. It may be a hard job, but that's service. If you don't like this work, then it's better to reorient yourself and do a job where you don't have any contact with customers. We were lucky that our waitress liked her job and even though there was a lot to do, she always remained friendly and had a smile for the guest. Such people should be valued. I can only recommend that the other waitress, who was wearing glasses, please the guests with their absence and find a suitable activity.

Wir haben beide einen Schweinebraten mit Kartoffelknödel und Sauce gegessen. Der Kartoffelknödel war kalt, völlig ohne Geschmack und zäh wie ein Gummiball. Die Sauce schmeckte typisch wie eine billige Päckchensauce. Die Schweinebratenscheibe war übermäßig dick mit viel Späck und sehr, sehr hautig.

Called at short notice on Friday evening and got a table for 6 people. Very nice and cozy, staff very quick and nice, there was a lot going on, constant change of guests.

Good pub with very good beer. The food is good and there are promotions every month. I have often ordered zander fillet on salad. Unfortunately, the pieces become pieces. The small beer garden is comfortably furnished and the service is very friendly.

The rustic restaurant is one of the oldest in Unterhaching. The ambience is rustic and simple. Has a certain charm. The food was very good and the service was quick and friendly. Great for a nice Sunday lunch.

Unverschämt teuer für nur 2 mickrige Kalbs Schnitzel und ganz wenig Pommes dazu ?! Siehe Fotos. Noch dazu die ganzen Schnitzel ohne nachzufragen in Preiselbeer Marmelade getaucht, obwohl das natürlich nicht jedermanns Geschmack sein kann? Wir bestellen oft in Restaurants Putenschnitzel oder Kalbsschnitzel mit Pommes, aber noch nie so eine Mini Portion was noch dazu nicht besonders schmeckt erhalten! Zudem hatte ich gesagt, bitte viel Spätzle dazu machen zu der Champignons Rahm Sauce, wenn schon kein Puten geschnitzeltes oder Kalbsgeschnetzeltes dabei sein kann, dann bitte eine große Portion machen mit den nur Spätzle. Obwohl er gesagt hat, ja geht klar, wir machen es so, dass eine größere Portion Spätzle drinnen ist, zu der Champignon Rahm Sauce, haben Sie das einfach ignoriert und trotzdem eine ganz kleine mickrige Portion Spätzle gemacht! Welches es leider nur mit Schwein gab, ansonsten nur ohne Fleisch gegeben hat. War auch nicht so besonders im Geschmack. Und diese schlechten kleinen Portionen zu einem stolzen Preis von 54,- €. Sie waren nicht gerade hilfreich bei der Auswahl am Telefon. und beim bezahlen zum Schluss dann auch noch unfreundlich dazu, weil sie noch obendrein zu dem schlechten Service ohne Engagement für den Gast, beim bezahlen wahrscheinlich Trinkgeld erwartet haben? Es gab zum mitnehmen noch nicht einmal Einweg- Besteck dazu, und wurde ungesund in einer billigen Chinawaren Kunststoffverpackung abgefüllt, welches die fettlösliche Chemie an das warme Essen abgegeben hat, und somit beim Essen einen sehr unangenehmen chemischen Beigeschmack verursacht hat. Der teuere Preis ohne Service, war nur zum abholen und mitnehmen, wohl gemerkt. Obwohl ich das dazu erwähnt hatte, dass sie bitte wenigstens eine große Portion Schnitzel machen sollen, wenn das schon so teuer ist, und es keine Alternativen gibt, und 24,-€ kostet, und sie keine Puten oder Hähnchen WienerSchnitzel anbieten können, haben sie auch hier wieder eine sehr, sehr kleine Portion gegeben. Der Salat mit Puten Bruststreifen ging aber dann komischerweise, und hat normal geschmeckt, mit Eisbergsalat, und wenig Zutaten.

Preis Leistung nein nicht mehr okay!Das Restaurant verabschiedet sich oder ist gerade im Begriff! Der Preis ist gestiegen, ja schon Ende des letzten Jahres und jetzt wieder, ja ja die Mehrwertsteuer? Aber die Krönung ist, die Portionen werden kleiner und Sachen, bzgl. Beilagen werden verschwiegen weg gelassen! Ja, und da ist noch etwas, wir, von einer UHG Sportabteilung sind immer wieder gerne nach dem Training zur Post auf einem Umtrunk und essen gekommen dass ist uns leider auch schon untersagt worden! Offiziell ist propagiert, offen bis 24.00uhr aber uns um 10.00 Uhr nicht mehr rein zu lassen ist ein no go! Aussage, ach wir schließen jetzt und die Gäste die noch vor Ort sind müssen jetzt bezahlen!

Waren zum Weihnachtsessen mit der Firma dort. Sind sehr freundlich. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker und kam relativ schnell und gleich für alle. Wir wurden auch des öfteren gefragt ob alles ok sei und ob wir noch was möchten. Auch die Dekoration zu Weihnachten war sehr ansprechend und hat sehr zur Stimmung beigetragen.

Sehr mittelmäßig... Kleine Portionen... Zwiebelrostbraten Medium bestellt blutig bekommen... Röstzwiebeln aus der Packung... Bratkartoffeln langweilig. Kann man Essen gehen, muss aber nicht.

Zuvorkommendes, freundlichen Personal. Gutbürgerliche Essen, auf jeden Fall Empfehlungswert

Es war eine schöne Hochzeit, aber das mit dem Essen hat nicht so geklappt. Das Essen an sich war gut und auch reichlich, aber der Service war sehr langsam. Erst wurde die Suppe serviert, dann....nichts. Eine Stunde später das Hauptgericht, dann.... nichts. Die Nachspeise kam um 15.00 Uhr. Nachdem wir dann sagten das die Hochzeittorte und der Kaffee serviert werden sollte war es schon fast 16.30 Uhr. Bis wir den Kaffee getrunken hatten war es Zeit zum Abendessen. Diese schleppend Abfertigung, anders kann ich das nicht bezeichnen, ist der Wehmutstropfen in meiner Bewertung. Die Bedienung bemühte sich aber die Küche konnte scheinbar nicht liefern obwohl sie auf Anschlag arbeiteten. Es waren zu viele Gäste....

Leider ausnahmslos TK-Sachen und Fertig-/Pulversaucen, sogar die Apfelkücherl zur Nachspeise waren aus der TK (Die Sprühsahne mit der Fertigerdbeersauce zu den Apfelkücherl will ich im Jahr 2024 garnicht erwähnen - NO GO!!!). Fleisch und Kruste vom Schweinebraten war ok, aber nur zwei kleine Scheiben und der Knödel war aus gerollter Fertigmasse (Der Crôuton in der Mitte reißt hier auch nichts raus). Der Krautsalat ist sehr sicher der von einem Discounter mit Anfangsbuchstabe "L". Die Käsespätzle bestehen aus Fertigspätzle mit etwas Käse und Fertig-Röstzwiebeln, dafür immerhin mit kl. Salat und gutem Dressing (Zubereitungszeit zu Hause vielleicht 5 Min). Preise für das Essen sind viel zu hoch: Kasespätzle 12,50€ Schweinebraten 15,50€ TK-Apfelkücherl 8,90€ Bierpreise sind gut für die Gegend, die Halbe kostet 4,10€. Das Ambiente in der älteren Stube und vorne beim Eingang ist urig und gemütlich. (Polster sollten erneuert werden) Schade, ich wäre hier schon gerne öfters hergekommen. Zuhause koche ich aber frischer und weitaus günstiger! Gastronomisch leider ein totaler Reinfall!

Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam, was für eine sehr einladende Atmosphäre sorgte. Besonders beeindruckend war das kulinarische Angebot: Das Restaurant servierte köstliche, regional inspirierte Gerichte, die frisch und geschmackvoll zubereitet waren. Insgesamt bot der Gasthof eine perfekte Mischung aus Komfort, Gastfreundschaft und kulinarischem Genuss. Ich würde diesen Gasthof jedem empfehlen, der die Gegend besucht und nach einer authentischen bayerischen Erfahrung sucht.

Delicious food. My wife had the mixed salad with turkey, and I had the spaetzle with cheese and onions. Our server was fantastic, the ambiance was wonderful, and I can't say enough about it. If you're in the area, definitely worth the stop.
