Gasthaus "Zur Linde" Schwarzhausen in Waltershausen

Following a local tip, we visited the farm shop and butcher's shop. They had a very nice selection of homemade specialties. In addition to sausages, we also picked up a beef brisket for further processing.

I came from Berlin and wanted to eat at the Bauerstübchen restaurant. I asked beforehand if I could pay with a debit or credit card. The owner immediately became hostile towards me. He said I wasn't in Berlin, that they only pay in cash here. He then launched into a tirade, saying he wanted the Wall back and so on. I left the restaurant. How are foreigners treated if a Berliner is already a no-go for this owner? Customer service = 0 Friendliness = Disaster

Nice service and cozy atmosphere.

We stopped here today in search of a cold beer and spontaneously had lunch. There were three dishes to choose from—either smoked pork roast, rolled turkey roast, or duck with red cabbage and dumplings—and the decision was really difficult. The landlady cooks everything herself, and it was incredibly delicious, very well prepared, and the Franconian beer, "Weismainer," was also very tasty. The restaurant is absolutely quaint, and the landlady is very friendly. We can definitely recommend the restaurant 100%, and we'd love to come back 😊
