The positive reviews about the restaurant "Zur Krone" are very surprising. We had turkey roll with potato pancakes and roast beef with red cabbage and spaetzle. What was initially negative was that both dishes were not the same size. The turkey roll was half the size of the roast beef portion, for the same price. There was no vegetables or salad with the turkey roll. Unfortunately, the tomato chili sauce didn't go well with the turkey at all. It was a dark, sweet chili sauce, a convenience product with a cetchup flavor. That was a real shame, especially since the potato pancakes were also convenience products. The roast beef was nothing special; the flavor was bland, and the sauce was nothing special. The spaetzle tasted good but too soft. The red cabbage was served as it came out of a jar or the freezer, which was unacceptable for me. The food, especially the turkey roll, was extremely disappointing. We were very hungry after a long hike. At the neighboring table, I noticed that guests were sitting at their tables for a long time and the dishes weren't being cleared. The Gasthaus zur Krone was a culinary disappointment for us.

Very good food. Super friendly staff. Reservations are recommended, but you might get lucky and get a seat with a friend. Oh, and there are some very good "short drinks" at the bar. Easy to miss.

Highly recommended: Excellent, down-to-earth cuisine with generous portions; friendly, very attentive staff; reasonable prices. Early table reservations are recommended during meal times.

Great food. Friendly service. Lamb specials are available on Sundays. Or for groups of 20 or more. Lamb burgers are only available during the week. All other dishes are also recommended. Rump steak or turkey steak. 5 stars.

A cozy restaurant with delicious food and also dog-friendly. We found a comfortable spot, and our terriers relaxed in their baskets under the table!

I can only recommend the Gasthaus zur Krone. Seldom eaten so well in Kahlgrund. It is noteworthy that home-grown meat is offered in the form of creative dishes. In addition, the service and the owner are super friendly.

The so-called lamb meal (only to order for at least 15? people) is simply brilliant. Super delicious salad, then the meat platter, the vegetables (beans and ratatouille) and the three side dishes (dumplings, croquettes and rösti), the goulash and the two sauces, super super delicious. Everything was eaten empty.

This is the best economy. We always like to come over.

Preise sollte man aktualisieren, sind nicht im Internet aktuell. PS das Essen ist ok, aber schon wie gesagt die Preise müssten auf jeden Fall im Internet geändert werden. Noch einen Vorschlag man sollte diese Reservierung etwas reduzieren den Leute die auf der Durchreise sind ärgern sich wenn sie vor einem halbvollem Lokal stehen, und bekommen dan gesagt haben sie reserviert, ich frage mich immer hat der Gastronom keine Angst das er den Gast den er jetzt weggeschickt nicht mehr kommt!!🤔 Unsere Meinung ist bleiben die Stammgäste weg, dan kommt das nachsehen.😉😱

Das Kräuterrahmschnitzel schmeckt einfach immer. Aber auch alles andere ist immer sehr lecker. Viele kommen sogar extra zum Lammessen. Dafür ist die Krone bis nach Hessen bekannt. Sonntags mittags bekommt man oft ohne Reservierung keinen freien Platz mehr

Schon seit meiner Kindheit mein liebstes Gasthaus :-) das Essen ist immer sehr lecker. Mein all-time-favorit ist die Putenschnitte mit Kräuterrahmsauce.

unscheinbare Landgastätte. Freundliche Bedienung. Poulardenbrust und Lammbraten - gut bürgerlich - waren sehr gut !!

Wir sind eher zufällig hier gelandet und sind mehr als begeistert! Das Essen ist köstlich, super nette Menschen, die einen Willkommen heißen und die Liköre sind auch grandios :) wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Essen hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt und war sehr reichlich. Der Gastraum zwar etwas schmuckes, aber die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut o.k.
