Food was quite okay. Service was very attentive.

Wir waren zu zweit und hatten reserviert. Als wir platziert wurden, warteten wir locker 15 min und sahen wir 3 Tisch die nach uns kamen bedient wurden. Auf Nachfrage das wir gern bedient werden möchten, kam ein lapidares schnippisches „ kann ich nicht änder“. Der restliche „ Service“ war ebenfalls eher sparsam. Das Essen war mittelmäßig. Für uns, nicht zu empfehlen.

Very good German cuisine. We had beef roulade and game goulash, each with red cabbage and dumplings. That was delicious. A dream for dessert: homemade apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and cream. The food was really excellent and the service was very friendly, courteous and attentive. Absolutely recommended!

Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience today. The hoped-for “home cooking” turned out to be low-quality industrial goods. The unfortunately very bland tasting beef roulade was actually only surpassed by the “creamy rice pudding” from the bag. Behind the burger there is a meatball hidden in the bun, which is far from a patty. Even the cola was stale and basically non-carbonated, not to mention ice cream. The incredibly overpriced prices for this quality of food are particularly annoying. Service staff were rare and not classically trained. The upholstered furniture may be a matter of taste, but the question of how hygienic it is still arises. Next time we visit Thale we will try our luck somewhere else.

I was disappointed. As bare as the restaurant was, the plates were also bare. No candle on the table. No decoration and no nicely arranged plates. But great prices.

I can recommend it. The food was really very tasty. I quote: "That was the best burger I've ever eaten." And we've eaten a lot of burgers. The noodles were also delicious. There are also some vegetarian and children's dishes. There aren't that many dishes on the menu, but the quality of the dishes is all the better. It wasn't particularly crowded, but the food came within a few minutes. The staff was extremely friendly. The prices are really fair. The interior is very nice and offers a lot of space, there is a pleasant smell in the air. No cigarette and no smell of food. There is also a lot of space outside.

I was there for dinner yesterday, the location is great! But the employee had a harsh and rude manner in dealing with us guests. The fact that two waitresses served us was also very untypical, which is why it was difficult to assign drinks, as well as being loud and unfriendly. The food was delicious, but the price and quantity are incomprehensible!

My partner had difficulty eating due to an infection in his mouth and suffered even when eating his soup. The attentive staff noticed this and brought a gentler dish that wasn't on the menu. I am absolutely impressed and grateful for this caring gesture. Plus, the food here is really delicious.

The taste of the food was great, but the meat was slightly tough and therefore difficult to cut and chew. We had roulades with red cabbage and dumplings for €24.90. At this price I think the meat is nice and tender and melts in your mouth. It's a shame given this great location.

One star is already too many. The prices stated on the menu are extortionate. You can get a rump steak and a baked potato for 37 euros. The rest may be true, but I don't support usury.

I can only recommend the cuisine, service and ambience. My special thanks go to the varied and tasty packed lunches, which always bring me a lot of joy as a business traveler!

We sat in a back room here, so the ambience was just ok. We ordered two burgers, which looked really delicious. But unfortunately there was absolutely nothing in terms of taste, as the meat was really fried to death. Really a shame. The service, on the other hand, was good, which is why the overall rating was two stars instead of just one.

The ambience, the service and the food are simply amazing 🥰 My husband has a rum steak with chili cheese butter, baked potatoes and I have a veggie burger with sweet potato fries and garlic dip. Both highly recommended 😋 Two days later we went there again for dinner and were not disappointed again 👌 I had pasta with shrimp and my husband had schnitzel with cheese gratin and fried potatoes 😋😋 The chef in the kitchen knows his craft 👏 So if you're ever in Thale, this is your place to eat 🤩 Thank you for the great service and the great food. Food was okay, selection was clear, I would have liked something more regional. Prices, well, we paid 82 euros for food and a small drink for 4 people.

We had a delicious meal here - but the portions could have been a little larger. Service is friendly and you can sit nicely in the covered outdoor area next to the entrance. A good destination on the way back from the cable car - just a few minutes walk and away from the hustle and bustle there.

I didn't think the price was that good, the portion was small for the big prices, the staff was very friendly 😉 even if they still ordered a black beer after it was delivered upon request and it was warm at the same time, it was quite okay if I would go there again fewer.

Delicious food, nice service despite the full house, highly recommend the burger

It was a big disaster for us. We were allocated a table, which was positive, it was wiped down beforehand. Then nothing happened for 20 minutes until the menu finally came (good thing we knew what we wanted to drink). After another 20 minutes the drinks came. After another half hour our food arrived. Unfortunately the fish was unseasoned, which we later realized. The answer to that is “well if you say so”. At the neighboring table, the drinks didn't arrive until well after the meal, and there were no more forks in the containers, so we helped out (before the food got cold). It doesn't work at all. You don't just want to complain, the location of the restaurant and the ambience are very good. The toilets are also clean. Well, maybe you’ll take a review like this to heart.

The inn is located directly at the Peace Park in Thale. In wonderful weather we were able to sit outside and enjoy the good food. The service was quick and always friendly. The food - we had the solyanka, the starter salad and the water giant burger - was fresh and very tasty. We'd love to come back!

We ate there on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, we are hotel guests from the Harzpark Bodetal, the food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. We wanted to order a table for Sunday evening, we were told everything would be full, we were a bit disappointed as guests of the house. We then went to the Italian restaurant around the corner.

Nice, no-frills restaurant with German cuisine, where everyone will find something. Food was delicious, service was nice, we liked it. We will definitely come back if we are in the area again.

It looks like I got food poisoning from the solyanka (soup). Disgusting and way too expensive. I don't want to give an undifferentiated assessment of the rest. And then there was an error with the bill at the end, a difference of 100 euros.

We booked the Riesenschnitzel witch adventure with our three grandchildren in February and were all so thrilled. We enjoyed the delicious food in the restaurant and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone.

Looking for a restaurant at short notice on Valentine's Day. Luckily the restaurant still had room for 8 people. The food was as good as it gets anywhere. Meat on point and nice and tender, the side dishes sufficient and well prepared (no convenience👍) So good that the restaurant was visited again two days later. You don't find something like that often...

We visited the inn on a Saturday and luckily reserved a table as it was quite full. The furnishings are simple, cozy and unfussy. We liked it. The service was friendly and quick. The drinks and food came quickly. We had kale with smoked pork and the schnitzel with Harz cheese. Both tasty and the portion size is great. I was actually missing a sauce with my fries. That's a dry matter. Prices were reasonable. Changing the side dishes costs 1.50 euros, which isn't entirely understandable, but the restaurant's pricing is ultimately free. We liked it and would come back, preferably on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday because on these days there is a special GDR menu with the classics.

Sehr guter Service, sehr lecker gegessen, sehr freundliches Personal. Nur etwas schlechte Akkustik- Gespräche waren problematisch, da es sehr laut war. Hier sollte man nachbessern. Wir würden aber unbedingt wiederkommen

Ganz leckeres Essen zum mehr als fairen Preis für die heutige Zeit.

Zwei Sterne vergeben ich einmal für die freundliche Bedienung und den anderen für die Schnelligkeit der Essenszubereitung. Leider war an einem Freitagabend zur besten Essenszeit der Burger ausverkauft. Kein Problem, dann gibt es eben für mich das mit Käse überbackene Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln und für meine Frau das Schnitzel mit Süßkartoffeln.Vorweg hatte ich einen Salat. Bei dem Blattsalat waren einige Blätter angematscht. Das Schnitzel war mit 3 dünnen Scheibchen Harzer Käse "überbacken".Ich habe selten so schlechte Bratkartoffeln gegessen ( die haben leider die Pfanne nur kurz berührt). Die Süßkartoffel und das Schnitzel hatten normalen Imbisstandart. Sonst gab es leider keine weiteren Highlights, sorry.

Koche selber gerne aber der Koch hier versteht sein Handwerk wir waren zu viert und hatten alle verschiedene Gerichte und alles war selber gemacht egal was der Rotkohl ein Traum es ist sehr sehr zu empfehlen hier zu vielen vielen Dank für das leckere Essen!

Hier schmeckte es recht lecker und die Speisen wurden ansprechend dargeboten. Das Team flott, freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist ok, besitzt aber noch Potenzial für mehr Gemütlichkeit. Eine Reklamation wurde schnell behoben.

Ein sehr freundlicher Empfang beim Eintreten. Das Personal begleitet zum Tisch und hat einen sehr offenes Gemüt und einen menschlichen Umgang mit den Gästen. Das Essen war von der Vorspeise bis zum Nachtisch sehr zu empfehlen. Es wurde in einem passenden zeitlichen Rahmen serviert und schmeckt ganz hervorragend. Wir wünschen dem Gasthaus zum Wasserriesen immer ein volles Haus mit reichlich Gästen.

Ein wirklich sehr schönes und angenehmes Ambiente. Der Service macht seinen Job noch gern, das spürt man einfach und das Essen ist sensationell. P.S. den "Hausschnaps" zu ordern ist Pflicht!!!!👌

Heute hatten wir auserkoren, in diesem etablierten Gastronomiebetrieb die Abendmahlzeit zu uns zu nehmen. Da eine Reservierung in unserem Falle ausblieb, offerierte man uns großzügigerweise einen Tisch mit regem Durchgangsverkehr, welchen wir freudig akzeptierten und in der Folge äußerst zufriedenstellend fanden. Die Aufnahme unserer Bestellung erfolgte äußerst prompt, obschon ein versehentlicher Irrtum bei den Getränken unterlief. Jedoch wurde nach unserer höflichen Anmerkung unverzüglich der gewünschte Trank serviert. Das Mahl erreichte unseren Tisch binnen einer Zeitspanne von etwa 15 Minuten, was zweifelsfrei als äußerst flott anzusehen ist. Bedauerlicherweise stand während unseres Genusses ein wenig anheimelnder Herr von schlichtem Auftreten längere Zeit an der Theke, und seine Aufmerksamkeit galt in nicht unerheblichem Maße unserer Tafel. Abgesehen davon, schien er sporadisch das Augenmerk auf die Bedienung zu richten, insbesondere auf bestimmte anatomische Regionen derselben. Dieses ausgesprochen intrusive und abschreckende Benehmen, obschon irritierend, schien in diesem Lokal akzeptiert zu sein. Möglicherweise handelte es sich sogar um den Inhaber, dessen Identität uns unbekannt blieb. Nichtsdestotrotz, es wäre in der Tat wünschenswert, wenn besagte Person künftig hinter einer Sichtschutzwand platziert wird, sodass er seinen Kaffee unbehelligt genießen kann, während wir uns unserem Mahl hingeben. Hinsichtlich des Essens selbst ließ sich konstatieren, dass dieses durchaus Gaumenfreuden bereitete. Das zarte Schnitzel erwies sich als höchst bekömmlich und von beständiger Qualität. Im Gegensatz dazu bewegten sich die Bratkartoffeln in puncto Beschaffenheit und Geschmack eher im Durchschnittsbereich. Die Raumgestaltung im Bereich der Gastronomiefläche erwies sich als minimalistisch, und obschon eine anheimelnde Atmosphäre wahrgenommen wurde, waren kahle Wände, das Fehlen von Tischkerzen und Blumen nicht zu übersehen. Zusammenfassend kann festgestellt werden, dass der Abend in diesem Lokal durchaus akzeptabel verlief und einen erneuten Besuch in Betracht ziehen lässt. Nichtsdestotrotz handelt es sich nicht um eine absolute Empfehlung aufgrund des Fehlens herausragender Highlights.

Angekommen um ca 17:45 war es noch relativ leer und wir hatten Glück das wir noch am Durchgang Platz nehmen durften,denn ab 18:00 füllte es sich Knall auf Fall durch die Reservierten. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und schnell, also da gibt es nichts zu bemängeln, außer das mein Mann ein kleines Getränk, statt ein großes bekommen hatte... Der Fehler wurde aber schnell behoben 👍🏻 Mein Gericht war das Wildgulasch. Welches war recht lecker war,aber die Pilze waren eindeutig 3te Wahl und unangenehm labberig. Das Fleisch war okay,aber recht zadderig (die letzten 2 Bisse) Und zuviel Rotkohl im Verhältnis .... geschmeckt habe ich durch meine Erkältung nicht viel, villeicht war das auch so auch mein Vorteil 🫡 Das Ambiete war zu karg und hat definitiv mehr Potenzial zu bieten würde man die Wände einfach mit ein paar netten Bildern von Wald und Wiese bestücken 😉 Leider fehlte dies komplett. Auch fehlten die romantischen Kerzen auf dem Tisch 😔 An der Theke befand sich ein gruselig aussehender Mann , den konnte man echt gut als heutige Halloween Gruselfigur hinstellen... Puterrot und biestig dreinblickend , starrte er meinen Mann an 🥵 Der nahm schon freiwillig die Brille ab um sich das Elend nicht ansehen zu müssen 😅 Ich fand eher das "trostlose tote Etwas" an der Bar eigenartig.... Aber gut zu Halloween haben die beiden Gestalten gut gepasst 🤣👌🏼 Sehen wir drüber Hinweg 🫠😉 Wir sind froh jedenfalls satt und zufrieden ein Restaurant in der Nähe gefunden zu haben 🤗

Vielen Dank für diese wundervolle Gastlichkeit. Wir waren zu siebt und es war für alle ein genussvoller Abend. Wer nach Thale kommt sollte hier einkehren.

Wir waren im Harz im Urlaub. Wir haben in diesem Restaurant über eine Woche vorher einen Tisch reserviert anlässlich des 44. Geburtstages meines Partners. Von außen sah es ansprechend aus und die Speisekarte versprach unserer Meinung nach qualitatives Essen (zumindest aufgrund der Preise dachten wir das). Der Abend verlief nicht so wie erhofft, man kann sagen, dass wir ganz schön enttäuscht waren. Keinerlei Tischdekoration zum Geburtstag, die Plasteblumen in der Vase befinden sich auf jedem Tisch, aber wir hatten immerhin anders gefaltene Servietten als auf den anderen Tischen... Bei den beiden Wasserriesen Burger waren jeweils die Brötchen total kalt (immerhin hat der Schwiegervater nach einmal kosten einen neuen kalten Burger bekommen, bei dem dann aber der Käse fehlte) und beim Wildgulasch (19,70 €) gab's zerkochten Rotkohl aus dem Glas und drei winzige Knödelscheiben, die warum auch immer angebraten waren (vom Vortag?!?). Geschmacklich waren die Gerichte aber zufriedenstellend. Allerdings erwartet man für einen hohen Preis auch ein bisschen was Besseres bezüglich Qualität und Portionsgröße. Das Geburtstags"Kind" ist jedenfalls nicht satt geworden, aber hat (nach heimlicher Nachfrage meinerseits) von der Bedienung immerhin eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit auf den Tisch geknallt bekommen. Hätten drei kleine Gläser Sekt auf's Haus zum Anstoßen am Anfang den Ruin gebracht? Ich glaube nicht. Leider ein überteuerter Abend in einer (Zitat Schwiegervater) "Bahnhofshalle". Schade!

Service sehr freundlich, Essen sehr lecker, ging alles schnell. Allerdings war das Ambiente wie in einer besseren Kantine. Den Wasserriesen oder etwas märchenhaftes habe ich vergeblich gesucht.

Wir haben heute spontan das Lokal besucht. Auch ohne Reservierung wurden wir bei gut besuchten Haus von der Bedienung Frau Heumann überaus freundlich willkommen geheißen. Die Hauptgerichte (Hirschgulasch mit Rotkohl und Knödeln und Bachforelle mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat) waren sehr köstlich zubereitet! Der Service war toll und das persönliche Engagement von Frau Heumann sehr herzlich und angenehm. Wir würden auf jeden Fall sehr gerne wiederkommen! Absolut empfehlenswert 👍🏽

Durch die schlechten Bewertungen der Restaurants auf oben auf dem Hexentanzplatz haben wir nach einer Alternative gesucht und haben dieses Gasthaus gefunden und probiert. Wir saßen draußen bei guten Wetter und es war sehr gemütlich. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und gut gelaunt und auch schnell (das Restaurant war zur Zeit unserer Bestellung noch nicht so voll). Das Schnitzel war frisch zubereitet und die Bratkartoffeln auch sehr lecker und knusprig. Preis/Leistung ist in Ordnung.

Ein scheinbar neu gebautes, schönes Restaurant mit großer Terrasse. Wir saßen draußen und waren auf dem Weg in Richtung Hexentanzplatz. Gegenüber des schönen Parks von Thale, lag dann das einladend aussehende Restaurant. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, es gibt einen kleinen Spielplatz etwas versteckt hinter dem Restaurant und die Einrichtung und Toiletten waren sehr sauber. Das Essen hat sehr lecker geschmeckt, auch wenn sehr viel Fett bzw. Öl benutzt wurde. Wenn man also in Thale ist und essen gehen möchte, kann ich dieses Restaurant auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Beim Essen hat immer eine Kleinigkeit gefällt trotzdem war es ein guter Besuch.
