Very good food and very friendly staff

Food was good, the outdoor area needs some love and the service was a bit careless/lackluster. My wife and I looked at each other in shock at the answers. You ask for a recommendation from the house and the answer is very brief: "Just read it, you'll find something." Funny kind.

Were sent away very unfriendly. Arrived at 2:05 p.m. and just wanted a drink. Food and drinks were served everywhere. After we walked past the counter and 3 other service staff and sat down, someone finally came to us and said that it was closed at 2 p.m. and that we should leave. The schnitzel was just being put on the table at the next table.

Very nice restaurant and nice beer garden. The menu has a wide selection. The food is very tasty and rich. The prices are cheap, service is attentive and very quick. We can only recommend the restaurant

The better alternative if you don't want to stop at the alpine pastures on the Kampenwand. It's only a 5-10 minute walk from the Kampenwand car park if you're already standing there.

We had an excellent onion roast, one or two extremely tasty schnitzels and a fantastic salad plate. That's exactly how it should be in a beer garden. Absolute recommendation!

We are here on holiday and I have to say: in addition to the excellent (!!!) food, with large portions, everyone in the beer garden team is extremely friendly, with the right sense of humor, you just want to eat here every day on holiday :) We feel very comfortable here and can recommend it to everyone🥰 even with children!

Unfortunately, service was completely overwhelmed.

Yesterday we visited the Wirtshaus zum Baumbach. An absolute disaster!!! It started with the fact that the table and benches were full of resin and my pants are now completely ruined - when I asked for a cushion, it was thrown at me carelessly by the absolutely unfriendly service!!! Now let's get to the food. We had 2x Zander fillet Müllerin style - potatoes were glassy and inedible, vegetables from the package and were rock hard - when we asked, the waitress replied very snippily "it's just al dente" - so it would have been nice to be al dente... As an alternative we wanted a salad - we got a ready-made salad from a jar. We would never come here again, nothing like that has ever happened to us!!!

We went to the beer garden in 2021 and ate schnitzel. This year we are vacationing in Austria and have booked an overnight stay nearby just to enjoy the schnitzel and the beer garden again. I also remember an Asian waiter as being nice. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. 🙂 Addendum August 2023: Everything in the same top quality! Top!!

Delicious Bavarian cuisine at affordable prices

We were on vacation today looking for a good inn. The many positive recessions are not too promising here. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly and on the ball. Price performance is simply top! Only recommended...

The service staff is really very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is also really nice The kitchen is underground. I wasn't aware that you could put such tasteless food on your plate. Not even the cheese in the Käsespetzle had any taste. The bread dumplings were still half raw inside. The meat in the roast was tough so you could hardly cut it So all in all, definitely not recommended for eating The two stars are solely due to the really friendly service staff For the food alone it would have been minus 3

Typical beer garden atmosphere, The portions were large, at reasonable prices, 1 star was deducted because the cellar (which looked slightly overwhelmed) had forgotten a drink and it didn't come until 30 minutes later.

Four of us went there to eat out of necessity. The menu is huge - as are the portions. However, a fried tofu with remoulade didn't pique our interest ;) Pancake soup, potato pancakes and cheese spaetzle were our choices. In terms of taste, this was disappointing across the board. The service was very slow and inattentive. You can also only pay in cash. The good reviews must come from philistines.

The food is home-style and the price-performance ratio is totally right! We always like to come over. However, you really have to be very hungry because the portions don't allow anyone to leave the table hungry! 😄

The three of us were there for dinner. Food was very, very tasty. Unfortunately, all three of us soiled our pants with resin on the benches outside in the beer garden. I asked the boss, who unfortunately speaks very, very bad German, how can we come to an agreement since we messed up our pants extremely, whether we should send him the bill from the cleaning? The answer was NO! UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE NOW HOLD ON THE CLEANING COSTS! And everyone knows how difficult it is for tree resin to come out of clothes😪.

Nice beer garden atmosphere... very good and large portions. No mosquitoes!!! Eating outside here is also a relief for the soul, as there is currently a plague of mosquitoes in Prien...

An inn as you wish. Rustic atmosphere, fast service and very, very tasty food. The prices are absolutely okay. We recommend the “Aschauer Festagsschnitzel” with horseradish (horseradish) or the “Wiener Style Schnitzel”. Very tasty and extremely filling (plenty). You don't need to make a reservation as there is plenty of space. Parking spaces are also available in the property and on the street.

Beautiful beer garden and delicious portions that are guaranteed to fill you up. This is how I imagine good Bavarian hospitality.

The price and performance here are assured! Good Bavarian cuisine and friendly staff! We spontaneously got a table for two. The Cordon Bleu was very good and the portion was more than generous. Price really acceptable for today's standards! Overall, actually five stars. But: no card payment is accepted! This is simply a no go now! Actually, you should boycott the restaurant because of this, but the food was just good. That's why I'm coming back - but the landlord should urgently move with the times.

To charge €1.50 for a small bowl of cranberries, which is actually part of a schnitzel in a smart pub, is a disgrace!

We tested the inn based on a recommendation. It offers plenty of space, but reservations are recommended. Lots of dishes on the menu, which always makes me a bit skeptical about freshness and quality, but I have to say I wasn't disappointed. Service friendly, organized and on the ball. Relatively high noise level at high utilization. Disadvantage: No card payment - generally not a problem if you know in advance, but not quite up to date anymore.

Portions that were too large and lacked that certain touch of Bavarian specialty. Food was still good.

WOW! Bavarian cuisine at its finest!! Rather inconspicuous from the outside. Came in here by chance around midday. Nice beer garden. Food 10 out of 5 points. There's also the "side salad" here - do you remember it? :-) yes, grated carrots, potatoes, cucumbers, coleslaw, tomatoes and greens - super tasty dressing. My husband had the cold roast for lunch - wow. I the catfish. With Thai vegetables? Super tasty and large portion. Saturday evening schnitzel and onion roast. A dream. Schnitzel nice and thin, nothing industrially prepared, ... fries, fried potatoes, fried onions. yammy. Please don't change anything!! And then we ordered the walnut cup - even though we were already full - mövenpick? If I had been there longer, I would definitely have tried the sausage salad and the homemade Kasspatzn. And the cold roast again! Thanks!

We always enjoy coming here. Delicious food and very friendly staff. It's always busy on public holidays, but even then the waiting time is limited.

The place was very pleasant, nice helpful waiters. The food served was phenomenal. The prices are completely average. I can only recommend it to everyone who goes there.

Sehr gutes und reichliche Gerichte. Bedienung war freundlich und schnell aber wir hätten auch Zeit gehabt. ;-) Die Speisekarte war sehr groß und man hatte wirklich sehr viel Auswahl. :-) Einziger Minuspunkt gibt es für die Reihenfolge der bestellten Gerichte. Vorspeise kam mit dem Hauptgericht. Fanden wir sehr ungüstig! Wir lassen uns lieber etwas mehr Zeit und warten auch gerne auf die Hauptmahlzeit etwas länger. Es scheint eben das Programm für die Abfertigung bei Hauptsaison zu sein. Dennoch ist das Wirtshaus eine absolute Empfehlung!!!

Trotz der Größe ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant. Wir wurden überaus nett freundlich und (sehr) zügig bedient. Das Essen war superlecker und die Portionen sind schon ziemlich groß. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Einzigster und dicker Minuspunkt ist das Timing. In der Karte steht zwar "Zeit ist Geld" im Hinblick auf zu bezahlende Änderungswünsche von Beilagen, allerdings wurde dieser Leitspruch wohl zu verinnerlicht. Die Hauptspeise kam quasi zeitgleich mit der Vorspeidensuppe. Fand ich echt nicht gut und hat mir die Freude am Genießen des guten Essens genommen. Das Prinzip von VOR- und Hauptspeise hat mal wohl nicht ganz verstanden. Hat etwas von Abfertigen... schade.

One of the best Bavarian restaurants in Chiemgau, quality, quantity, price and friendliness unbeatable as well as the ambience.

Very nice service. The two gentlemen who served us were extremely friendly. The food tasted very good and the portions were huge. Absolute plus point...the card states that extra requests cost time and money. I was happy to make the switch and I knew it. I found the packaging for my takeaway food at 1 euro too expensive as the price was 19 cents and I packed it myself.

Everything was perfect, conditions were quick and very friendly, the food was very tasty, no one leaves here hungry, portions are almost too big but it's better this way than the other way around. The beer garden looks great, but unfortunately the weather isn't great at the moment, but it's also very comfortable inside. It's a great place to end your day on holiday, so we'll be back very soon😍

Seit Jahren eine top Lokalität. Qualität, Größe der Portionen, Service und Preise, hier stimmt alles. Nettes, sehr bemühtes Team und alle haben immer ein Lächeln. Ich kann die wenigen negativen Bewertungen nicht verstehen, ein Spielplatz im Biergarten ist urig-bayrisch, bleibt halt in Eurem Bundesland wenn es Euch nicht passt! Und dass Pommes nicht in Parfüm zubereitet werden ist klar. Zur asiatischen Küche kann ich nur sagen: lecker! Fazit: Absolut Top!

Unfortunately, the sauce for the oven-fresh roast was an instant sauce and therefore tasted terrible. Small portions should also be offered.

We ate here several times during the carnival holidays, always with a large group. It was always very, very nice. Despite the well-filled restaurant, we didn't have to wait long for drinks or our orders. The waiters and waitress were super fast and all very funny. The portions were huge and very tasty.
