Fast, nice service and delicious food 😋

The food was great and cheap. The portions were large. We ate there 3 days in a row. I can only recommend it.

After a hike, we spontaneously stopped at Baumbach. Despite the size of the restaurant, it has a cozy, stylish Bavarian atmosphere. Very well attended. Very good food (mushroom with large bread dumplings was delicious) and also good value for money. Outstandingly nice service. Recommended!

What can I say? A really nice beer garden! The waiter was really good and very friendly! The portions were very generous, many guests (as I noticed didn't finish the portions) and the price-performance ratio is still very good here. I can only recommend it! I would love to come back!

Unfortunately there is only pork schnitzel, not even Jägerschnitzel. The card expressly warns against your own wishes with an additional charge. The cream sauce had hardly any taste and the pepper cream sauce only tasted like pepper. Too bad, wouldn't come back.

Hungry after visiting the castle, we found the inn not far from the parking lot. Totally friendly welcome, taking a dog wasn't a problem. Fast service and very tasty food. We had schnitzel and turkey steak in a horseradish mustard crust. Large portions from the lunch menu. There is a large selection here and all dishes are 12.90. Great, would love to come back.

We were just at the inn for lunch. Wow wow wow Simply thrilled, the staff was very friendly, nice and quick. The food was delicious, a lot (one portion is enough for normal eaters, for two). The price is great for the quality and quantity. When we come back, we'll come back.

We have been coming here for years and have always been satisfied. Parking at the house and nearby. Shady beer garden with a small playground for the youngest. Good value for money. Quite generous portions. In our experience, the turkey dishes are particularly recommended. Friendly team. Child friendly. The Corona requirements are adhered to. Hygiene is also good. (Clean sanitary facilities) The only drawback would be that there is only cash payment!😉👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👋🏽

Everything is just right there. We had lunch in several restaurants in Aschau. Nowhere was it so good. I ate roast pork and my husband had pork schnitzel Viennese style. Both were a poem. 3 large lager together 36€. Today, on the last day, we are going again eat there

We went here for dinner today... It was really good... We ordered the gourmet platter for two people and a large salad bowl from the very attentive, friendly waiter. It tasted extremely good. Super good price/performance ratio… We will definitely come back.

The prices are fair and appropriate for the quality offered. The service was quick, attentive and extremely friendly. We really liked the ambience of the inn - an authentic German atmosphere that makes you feel good. We'd love to come back!

Good food at reasonable prices, the service was very friendly and attentive. I had schnitzel, the breading was nice and crispy, my partner had gypsy schnitzel which was also very tasty and the portions were generous. We would love to come back if we go on vacation to Chiemsee again!

The steak was too dry, the salad was good because there were long waiting times for drinks and food.

Mass processing. Food tasteless, service nice. Great atmosphere for a real Bavarian inn. However, based on the reviews, we expected more and were disappointed. First I got the wrong dish even though the numbers were read out. My partner was almost finished when my real food arrived. The service apologized several times and yes, it can happen. But unfortunately, despite the great ambience, you felt like you were being mass processed. It was also questionable how the two meals could be on our table within about 8 minutes. Unfortunately, both were very tasteless (grill plate with fries & sesame turkey with spaetzle in cream sauce) - the meat was mass-produced, the sauce and meat were relatively tasteless, as if nothing had been seasoned. Too bad.

Very good food and very friendly staff

Food was good, the outdoor area needs some love and the service was a bit careless/lackluster. My wife and I looked at each other in shock at the answers. You ask for a recommendation from the house and the answer is very brief: "Just read it, you'll find something." Funny kind.

Were sent away very unfriendly. Arrived at 2:05 p.m. and just wanted a drink. Food and drinks were served everywhere. After we walked past the counter and 3 other service staff and sat down, someone finally came to us and said that it was closed at 2 p.m. and that we should leave. The schnitzel was just being put on the table at the next table.

The better alternative if you don't want to stop at the alpine pastures on the Kampenwand. It's only a 5-10 minute walk from the Kampenwand car park if you're already standing there.

We had an excellent onion roast, one or two extremely tasty schnitzels and a fantastic salad plate. That's exactly how it should be in a beer garden. Absolute recommendation!

We are here on holiday and I have to say: in addition to the excellent (!!!) food, with large portions, everyone in the beer garden team is extremely friendly, with the right sense of humor, you just want to eat here every day on holiday :) We feel very comfortable here and can recommend it to everyone🥰 even with children!

Yesterday we visited the Wirtshaus zum Baumbach. An absolute disaster!!! It started with the fact that the table and benches were full of resin and my pants are now completely ruined - when I asked for a cushion, it was thrown at me carelessly by the absolutely unfriendly service!!! Now let's get to the food. We had 2x Zander fillet Müllerin style - potatoes were glassy and inedible, vegetables from the package and were rock hard - when we asked, the waitress replied very snippily "it's just al dente" - so it would have been nice to be al dente... As an alternative we wanted a salad - we got a ready-made salad from a jar. We would never come here again, nothing like that has ever happened to us!!!

We went to the beer garden in 2021 and ate schnitzel. This year we are vacationing in Austria and have booked an overnight stay nearby just to enjoy the schnitzel and the beer garden again. I also remember an Asian waiter as being nice. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. 🙂 Addendum August 2023: Everything in the same top quality! Top!!

Delicious Bavarian cuisine at affordable prices

The service staff is really very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is also really nice The kitchen is underground. I wasn't aware that you could put such tasteless food on your plate. Not even the cheese in the Käsespetzle had any taste. The bread dumplings were still half raw inside. The meat in the roast was tough so you could hardly cut it So all in all, definitely not recommended for eating The two stars are solely due to the really friendly service staff For the food alone it would have been minus 3

We were on vacation today looking for a good inn. The many positive recessions are not too promising here. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly and on the ball. Price performance is simply top! Only recommended...

Four of us went there to eat out of necessity. The menu is huge - as are the portions. However, a fried tofu with remoulade didn't pique our interest ;) Pancake soup, potato pancakes and cheese spaetzle were our choices. In terms of taste, this was disappointing across the board. The service was very slow and inattentive. You can also only pay in cash. The good reviews must come from philistines.

I've stopped by the Baumbach Wirtshaus several times now. The food is super tasty, very plentiful and full of value for money. The staff is considerate and kind. No criticism points... When visiting Aschau, the inn is highly recommended...

The three of us were there for dinner. Food was very, very tasty. Unfortunately, all three of us soiled our pants with resin on the benches outside in the beer garden. I asked the boss, who unfortunately speaks very, very bad German, how can we come to an agreement since we messed up our pants extremely, whether we should send him the bill from the cleaning? The answer was NO! UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE NOW HOLD ON THE CLEANING COSTS! And everyone knows how difficult it is for tree resin to come out of clothes😪.

The food is home-style and the price-performance ratio is totally right! We always like to come over. However, you really have to be very hungry because the portions don't allow anyone to leave the table hungry! 😄

Beautiful beer garden and delicious portions that are guaranteed to fill you up. This is how I imagine good Bavarian hospitality.

An inn as you wish. Rustic atmosphere, fast service and very, very tasty food. The prices are absolutely okay. We recommend the “Aschauer Festagsschnitzel” with horseradish (horseradish) or the “Wiener Style Schnitzel”. Very tasty and extremely filling (plenty). You don't need to make a reservation as there is plenty of space. Parking spaces are also available in the property and on the street.
