Last week I visited for the first time with two friends and was immediately torn between the many dishes on offer. It looks like I'll be back and trying everything from the "home-style cooking" section. The roast pork loin was absolutely fantastic. At first, I thought, "Oh, that looks manageable," but the fact is, I couldn't finish it all. The price-performance ratio is definitely right, and the staff is very friendly. To all those who complain about minor things like fries being undercooked, which can happen, I can only say this: Only those who speak up can be helped. This means putting your phone away while eating and speaking up. See you soon! 👋

We had also planned our Christmas party at Schweitzer's. We were booked for over two months in advance for a group of 20 people. There were a few phone calls in the meantime, and I even called on the day itself to confirm that the party would still go ahead as planned. We received confirmation both by phone and in writing. Half an hour before our guests were due to arrive, our table was given to someone else. Our party then took place in an uncovered conference room in an adjacent building. There was another party already there, and the waiter assigned to that room also had to serve our party. It was a complete disaster. The food, however, was good and plentiful. But I'm certain that was the first and last time we'll ever go there.

As a driver, at 6:45 PM on a Friday evening, I was already being yelled at at the door: "Not today, it's full." It was my first and last time here. A real treat. 😡 The Turkish guy down the road was friendly, though.

We were first-time guests and were thrilled. Very friendly and attentive staff. The food was incredibly delicious, from the salad to the pork tenderloin with fried potatoes or the burger with crispy bacon and a fried egg (absolutely divine!!). We'll be back! :)

Delicious and quickly served food for lovers of home-style cooking (and I don't mean that in a bad way). Portions are very generous for the price. The staff is fast and friendly. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a modern brewery pub. I like it 😉 PS: Your schnitzels could use a pinch more salt 👍

Consistently excellent. If you like traditional German home cooking, this is the place for you. It's always very busy, but the service is still very quick and the food tastes fantastic!

There were three of us there today. We found the atmosphere charming and cozy. We ordered two ducks with red cabbage and one plate of mussels prepared in the Rhineland style. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It was absolutely delicious. The duck was tender, and the gravy was particularly tasty. The mussels were exceptionally good with a perfectly seasoned broth. Although the restaurant was almost full, the food arrived quickly. It tastes delicious, although the hut was full our food arrived very quickly and you definitely get your fill.

There were three of us for dinner. At.osphere, well... It was quite cramped and rather loud when so many people are sitting close together. I had a Hawaiian schnitzel with fries and salad and was satisfied; I think I made a good choice. My companion ordered a medium rump steak, but it came well-done and was quite tough. My friend had a pulled pork burger, which apparently tasted good, but it was served lukewarm. Well... it was very crowded, and there was probably a private party in the dining room. I can't say whether the kitchen suffered as a result and if it was just a fluke, since it was my first time there. Let's hope so, though. Parking can be a bit tricky, as the free parking lot seems too small for the restaurant, but that could also have been due to the private party.

There were nine of us there. The food was very good. No one in the group had any reason to complain. The portions were good. Either we drank the beer too quickly, or the refills were too slow. 😉

I had the vegetarian schnitzel with fries and mushroom sauce. I thought it was delicious! I also love that you can choose your sauce (including mushroom, hollandaise, béarnaise, or paprika sauce). I can also recommend the cheese spaetzle. The vegetarian options are otherwise limited.

I was very dissatisfied. The wheat beer I ordered seemed to have been waiting for ages. It was served warm, still, and without foam. The substitute beer was fine. My meal: Absolutely disappointing. My Kutscherkotlett was very dry and didn't meet my expectations at all. What a shame.

Once and never again. We had reserved a table for six people, although the reservation had been made quite some time ago. We wanted to meet up with colleagues and spend a pleasant evening, but unfortunately, this wasn't the case. We were put in a tent at the far end, right next to a heater. It was uncomfortable, cold, and drafty, and the table was positioned in such a way that six people couldn't spend the evening together. We couldn't read the menu properly because there wasn't enough light. When we asked about this situation, we were simply told, "If we have too many guests, we do it like this." Only when we spoke to the head waiter were we allowed into the restaurant. It was a bit better. Unfortunately, because it was very busy, the air was also very bad and it was very warm. At least it was better. Then we ordered our food, and we ordered Wiener Schnitzel, and a few other dishes. When the food arrived, it turned out that they had simply served us veal schnitzel without asking. The veal schnitzel was, of course, much more expensive. When we asked about it, they simply said, "You ordered Wiener Schnitzel." We didn't even know they served veal schnitzel. It's good manners to ask whether the guest actually wants this, but this was not the case here. That has nothing to do with hospitality. In general, we found the prices to be high for such a crowded place; you had to We had to wait quite a while for our drinks. A wheat beer for €5.80 was simply too expensive. The atmosphere isn't bad, but apart from the lackluster service and the prices, this isn't a place we enjoy visiting.

We had the Gasthaus Schweizer organize a barbecue catering service at our home, and we were absolutely thrilled! From meat, fish, and vegetarian grilled items to baked potatoes, rosemary potatoes, grilled vegetables, and a variety of fresh salads, bread, and dips – the buffet was an absolute delight and enjoyed by all our guests. As a sweet finale, we had crepes, which you could order with various toppings, such as strawberries, Kinder chocolate, Contreau, Grand Manier, Nutella, etc. – even in combination – a real highlight! The barbecue crew was professional, friendly, and dedicated to their job. The waiters were also incredibly attentive, always kept everything in order, and provided all guests with excellent drinks. The planning and preparation went smoothly – absolutely everything was thought of. We especially appreciated the flexibility: Even at short notice, we were able to book items like ashtrays and champagne glasses for the reception. Even during the preliminary meeting in the restaurant – at the time, we didn't have any specific ideas – we received excellent advice. The team came up with the idea of ​​a barbecue buffet and crepes, and it was a hit! From the initial planning to the cleanup, everything was perfectly organized. We can fully recommend the inn for catering and say: A huge THANK YOU for this successful party!

We've enjoyed eating at Schweitzer for years. Yesterday there were four of us. The spare ribs were delicious, and both cordon bleu were also very tasty. As usual, I had the Thai curry. Unfortunately, that was a disaster. It wasn't Thai curry and it was really inedible. You could tell it was a frozen Asian vegetable stir-fry (I buy that myself from time to time), and the sauce was simply judged by taste: a thick gravy that was far too salty and had been simply spiced up. Really pretty horrible. It was the first time so far, so I didn't make a big deal out of it. Now for the service, which was unfortunately also really bad for the first time. We waited ages for our order to be taken. Then the man in question repeatedly disappeared without a word while the order was being taken. When the starter arrived, the two bread baskets were slammed down on the table and someone immediately disappeared again. We didn't even have plates. When we were about to pay, we politely asked the server in question what hadn't gone so well. To our shock, he reacted quite unprofessionally and very rudely. For a server to argue with a customer like that is the lowest of the low. A real shame!
