Food was very good, Service was very attentive Everything fine

We stayed in the family room on the top floor one night before Europapark. Very clean, close to the center by bus, very good restaurant, very welcoming, quite quiet, free parking, pillow too high, minimal decoration, good single beds but touching, a little small, only a sink in the room, clean bathroom simple shared with 2 other rooms so not very practical.

We were lucky and got a table without a reservation. Cozy bourgeois interior with appropriate lighting. Highly recommended, the steak was served perfectly 👍🏻☺️

A nice country inn with very friendly staff.

The food is very good, therefore recommended. The interior lighting is like that of a mortuary, therefore rather uncomfortable. We waited 1 hour for our food, which wouldn't have been so bad if we had been told about it in advance. When the question was asked when paying whether everything had been okay, they first questioned my comment about the waiting time by checking to see when we had ordered. Afterwards it was dismissed on the grounds that there were many guests there.

Food was great; Both the schnitzel and the steak tasted great; the service was quick and courteous; There was also a small greeting from the kitchen immediately after placing the order. We found this to be very thoughtful as this is no longer so common these days. The atmosphere is rustic but not "run down". We'll be back.

Good middle-class restaurant. The front room is nice and cozy with wooden furniture. I find it a bit too bare and loud in the back room when it's full and every table is talking. The schnitzel and salad were very tasty. The sauce was perfect too. Good standard 👍🏻

On Friday we were able to spontaneously order a table for 14 people for Saturday evening. But the “store” was full. Nevertheless, we were warmly welcomed and a long table was set up for us. Great!! The service was great, I got the most beautiful and delicious lumberjack of all 😉 There's nothing to complain about in terms of price either! So, if we're in the area again, we'd love to come back! Very good cuisine and above all phenomenal Cordon Bleu. Service is always friendly and attentive. I come here regularly both for lunch and in the evening. A real enrichment for Herbolzheim.

The decor is tasteful and inviting, while the warm welcome makes you feel like a welcome guest. The inn sets culinary standards. The menu offers an impressive selection of regional dishes prepared to the highest standards. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent quality of the ingredients, which are selected with great care and processed into true culinary delights. Each dish shows not only precision craftsmanship, but also a deep appreciation for the regional cuisine. The game dish was an absolute highlight – cooked to perfection and an experience in terms of taste. The service also leaves nothing to be desired: attentive, professional and at the same time pleasantly reserved. Hospitality is lived here and there is a noticeable emphasis on offering every guest an all-round successful experience. The Gasthaus Schützen is a place where you can enjoy at the highest level - from the cuisine to the wine selection to the hospitality. Five stars are more than deserved here.

We spontaneously reserved a table for four people. A small and very tasty greeting from the kitchen, the salad was also really tasty. The main courses were also plentiful and really so delicious. The service was super friendly and very attentive. Actually no dessert would have been suitable but we still had an ice cream sundae. We enjoyed it very much, we were more than full and really satisfied. Thank you for the delicious food, the great service and for our lovely evening. You can feel really comfortable here. Unfortunately we are just passing through, otherwise we would come more often. We think the prices and the offering are excellent.

Rooms were ok. The staff was very friendly. The food was highly recommended and the portions were large.

There were probably 90 of us who came to eat after a funeral at 2 p.m. 2 waitresses for so many people was a bit short, so you had to wait for the drink, unfortunately. Food was then served on platters so everyone could take it! Food itself is fresh and delicious.

As guests, we were able to end the day with dinner at the Schützen Inn. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating (please note that the seating is on the street). The interior is in the style of a guest house and is definitely appealing. Coherent! As an appetizer we received various cream/lard with bread from the house (plus points for the gesture). We ordered the cheese knöpfle and blackcurrant juice spritzers. After an animal got lost in the glass while putting the glass down, the glass was replaced immediately. Super Service. We ordered the cheese buttons. The food came to the table quickly. Waiting time of a maximum of 30 minutes (house was still empty at that time). The request as to whether it was tasty also came from the service. We felt very taken care of and well looked after. The food itself was perfectly prepared. Fresh and definitely homemade. We definitely recommend!

We are delighted with our visit to this typical restaurant. The meal is good and simply well done. It’s fresh and seasonal. The asparagus soup is excellent! The attention for our daughter at the end of the meal with a lollipop is pleasant and for the parents a very pleasant appetizer too. I rarely write in detail, but in this case it is particularly important to me. We were here on yesterday's holiday and couldn't get a place. The recessions and the initial, simple, middle-class furnishing style put us off a bit. A day later, after a disappointing meal, we decided to try it and were completely pleasantly surprised. Let's eat at Grandma's. Homemade, delicious, sumptuous and I want to say again. Incredibly delicious. We'll definitely be back!!! Thanks

I have to admit, I was very surprised and happy to have found a very good restaurant again! There were five of us plus a small child and we chose a table outside. It's very sober and unadorned, but you sit comfortably and it's all about the food. And that’s convincing! We had different meat dishes (I personally had the sour liver) and we were served very, very friendly and attentively. The young lady in service was there to learn the ropes, but you immediately noticed that friendliness and perfect service are important to the restaurant management. And that's exactly what the young lady did. She accommodated special requests and all the dishes were beautifully prepared and simply delicious! Great salad dressing by the way! All in all, we would like to come back and eat our way through the menu.

An address that stands out, well-filled plates (too many) waitresses who make a great effort to speak in the foreign language and are very smiling. too bad there is no French or other language translation (long live Google translate)

Had dinner here with the family before the overnight stay towards the ski area. Typical German guesthouse in terms of decoration and that always has its charms. The house gave us a delicious bread board with spreads. One of the spreads was boar fat. This was really delicious. As main courses the cordon blue turkey, pepper steak and for the children a plate of fries with chicken nuggets. All dishes were certainly tasty and more than sufficient. The desserts were also popular: creme brulee, chocolate mousse and panna cotta.

The food is solid, as are the portions and the service. The portions aren't super big (which isn't a complaint, it's just mentioned in the other reviews, which isn't the case). All in all, you have to say the food tastes good, although the price is a bit too expensive (15 percent cheaper in comparison, it would also do the trick). As mentioned, it's good food with good service and ok price. Hence 4 stars. It's worth a visit, so we recommend taking a look for yourself.

zum ersten Mal bei den neuen Pächtern. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Zügig ist man auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Die Karte ist nicht zu gross und für jeden etwas dabei. Einzig der Nachtisch hat mich nicht überzeugt. Wassegr schön war ist das wir nicht um 22.00 rausgeworfen worden sind, sondern noch eine Weile sitzen bleiben durften. kläre Empfehlung schaut Mal rein.

Wir waren nun zum dritten Mal im Schützen essen, nachdem wir vor etwa einem Jahr rein zufällig nach einem Besuch im Europapark dort einkehrten. Der Service hatte alle Hände voll zu tun, denn das Restaurant war inklusive des Nebenraums voll. Dennoch bekamen wir inklusive dem.Gruß aus der Küche alles unglaublich Schnell serviert. Dabei hatte die Servicekraft immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen und war überaus freundlich. Das Essen war wie bei den anderen Malen auch schon , hervorragend. Egal ob Cordon Bleu, Schnitzel oder die Gemüsebratlinge...es schmeckte einfach alles. Reservierungen sind jedoch empfehlenswert! Alles in allem kann man den Schützen vorbehaltlos empfehlen!!

Sehr geiles cordon bleu Salat war leider Standart vorallem wunderte ich mich über die salatsose da sie auch in Flaschen verkauft wird für zuhause.

Nettes Personal, nett eingerichtet wie man es von einem Gasthaus erwartet. Die Flädlesuppe (Frittatensuppe) würde wie gewünscht sehr heiß serviert (Danke dafür). Zur Hauptspeise gab es eine große Portion Pommes und einen großen Beilagensalat. Wir hatten einmal Schweins Schnitzel und einmal ein Gordon Bleu. Für uns als Österreicher war die freundlich gemeinte Frage ob wir Soße zum Schnitzel wollen absolut unnötig da wir es immer ohne Soße essen. Leider hat man gemerkt dass das Schnitzel und das Gordon nicht ordentlich geklopft wurden. Es wurden beide beim rausbacken nicht souffliert und das geht leider nicht. Geschmeckt hat es aber trotz allem.

Wir waren zum ersten aber nicht letzten Mal dort. Der Mittagstisch ist absolut in Ordnung. Unser Schnitzel mit Pommes und Salat war üppig und gut zubereitet. Die Bestellung war zügig aufgenommen und das Essen kam sehr zeitnah. Vorweg gab es den Salat und in zeitlichem Abstand die Schnitzel mit Pommes. Empfehlenswert.

Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Den Tischplatz entfanden wir als störend. Mein Besuch aus dem Norden fand das Schnitzel aus der Friteuse nicht so gut. Ist ganz okay das Restaurant aber nicht Bahnbrechend.

Nous cherchions un endroit où goûter la nourriture allemande. Nous n'avons pas été déçus : plats copieux et bons, associations des aliments"intéressantes". Les tenanciers nous ont bien reçus, le personnel était attentif, une jeune fille a eu la gentillesse de parler français. Il m'a semblé que nous étions les seuls touristes : c'était drôle. Bonne expérience de l'Allemagne !
