The Gasthaus Ruf in Seefeld is, for me, a prime example of what true Bavarian hospitality can look like today. For our Christmas dinner, I pre-ordered roast pork with potato dumplings and pretzel dumplings for pickup. We arranged for 11:00 a.m. on December 24th – and what can I say? It couldn't have been more punctual. The food was ready to the minute. Despite the holiday and the large crowd, there was a calm, friendly, and professional atmosphere that is rarely experienced. The owner himself took the time to calmly explain how I could perfectly prepare and serve the dishes at home so that everything would taste just as good as in the restaurant. He also offered to help me carry everything to my car. Small gestures, big impact. The staff were consistently courteous, polite, and incredibly friendly – ​​even on Christmas Eve. I know this feeling from my many evening visits to the Gasthaus Ruf: You feel welcome, seen, and valued. The quality of the cuisine is simply outstanding. The meat is of exceptional quality, cooked to perfection, and wonderfully seasoned. The dumplings are divine. Classic Bavarian cuisine, but at a level you won't find everywhere. Here, they don't just cook; they live and breathe their craft. The chefs know exactly what they're doing – from seasoning and cooking to the meticulous attention to detail. You could say that Bavarian cuisine gets a real upgrade here, without losing its soul. For both lovers of traditional cuisine and visitors alike, Gasthaus Ruf is a place where you understand just how good classic dishes can truly taste. A huge thank you to the entire team. You can tell that they work with heart, skill, and respect for the ingredients. We'll be back again and again – and we wholeheartedly recommend this inn.

It's perfectly fine, but allergy sufferers shouldn't go there because the allergens are neither listed on the menu nor known to the staff.

20251120_The inn is a central location in the municipality of Seefeld (Bay), where everyone who can walk meets, food and service are fine, everything as desired, unfortunately I had no 5G reception in the inn.

A tried-and-tested spot for enjoying good, traditional German cuisine. Everything is delicious and expertly prepared. Very friendly and attentive service. Tip: Make a reservation!

Excellent Bavarian cuisine, great service and reasonable prices

I was really looking forward to the visit – even from the outside, you can tell this is still a typical Bavarian restaurant with traditional cuisine. The dining room has a rustic design, which contributes to the coziness. We arrived around 5:30 p.m., which made it even quieter, and we got a table. Otherwise, I recommend making a reservation for Friday evening. The daily menu included baked fish with potato salad, which we had, and schnitzel with mushrooms and dumplings. The latter was apparently good, but unfortunately, the fish plate wasn't so convincing. That little piece on top? And the potato salad was completely overcooked and a bit unusual and heavily seasoned. I'm sure it can be improved. We even mentioned this at the end. The service was very friendly and pleasant. Since we really appreciate local restaurants, we'll try it again and then we'll see...

Super cozy inn – highly recommended! The Gasthaus Ruf in Seefeld is truly fantastic! The rooms are incredibly cozy and inviting – you immediately feel at home. We went there twice during our vacation, and each time the food was truly delicious and beautifully presented. Everything arrived promptly, and the staff was super friendly. You can easily reserve a table by phone or online – you should definitely do so in the evenings, as it gets really busy. We'll definitely be back! 😊

A typical pub with a fitting (loud) atmosphere. There seems to be someone at every table who knows everything and can do everything...! As is typical in Bavaria, most of the dishes are pre-cooked and can therefore be served quickly. The later you arrive, the more overcooked the food is. Unfortunately, we didn't arrive until after 7:00 PM ))-: The service was good, though, and the waitresses very friendly.

A sensational restaurant. The service was authentically Bavarian and friendly. The decor was rustic and clean. The food was consistently excellent. The schnitzel was fantastic, the goulash unbeatable, the salad was picture-perfect, the beer was good, and the dessert was equally delicious. Beautifully located on the edge of town next to a church. It's also nice to sit outside. If we're visiting Bavaria from Hesse again, we'll be happy to drive there again from Munich.

Very good cuisine, typically Bavarian, with an outdoor terrace for sunny days and a typical Bavarian interior dining room. The service is fast, and the meat is of very good quality, supplied by the butcher shop next door, which seems to belong to the establishment. The dishes offered are numerous and varied. The prices are reasonable for this type of establishment. A main course changes daily at €13.90.

Very good restaurant. The food is excellent. Cozy atmosphere. Prices are upscale. Reservations are recommended. We had the Ruf-Pfanderl (roasted pork with vegetables and sparrows) or the one with rosemary potatoes. The meat and vegetables were cooked to perfection, and the pepper sauce was excellent. My husband had Zurich-style schnitzel, which was also very good, with salad. The service was very pleasant. All in all, very good.

Located in the heart of town, this long-established inn with a butcher shop is complemented by a tranquil beer garden. Although the beer garden is located on a street, the noise level is bearable. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The service is friendly and competent. Drinks are served promptly.

After a long time, I had dinner at Gasthaus Ruf again and was very satisfied. I sat in the busy garden and enjoyed the professional, friendly service. A good Munich schnitzel with potato salad (luckily, the arugula was only placed on top, so it could easily be lifted off and set aside...). Prices are now reasonable, as the rest of the restaurant industry has followed suit. Conclusion: If you want good, home-style food, this is the place for you – although the traffic is a bit annoying.

A classic and rustic inn with a beer garden in Seefeld. Very friendly and fast conditions. The food is very tasty and the portions are huge, so you'll be full. The menu is extensive, mainly good Bavarian but there are also options for vegetarians and vegans. Only at the beer garden you sit on the street, which didn't bother us and there are only a few parking spaces on site.

The food and the selection of dishes are very good. I've been here many times and have never been disappointed. The only complaint is the following: The staff is very friendly but a bit inattentive. Tables are not cleared promptly or only partially, cutlery and napkins are not replenished. Good staff should keep this in mind. Likewise, new guests shouldn't have to ask for the card after 10 minutes of ignorance. Overall, the inn is recommended.

Das Geröstl war eine Katastrophe. Normalerweise gehört es mit Bratkartoffeln oder gebratenen Knödeln gemacht, von beidem nichts zu finden, nur gekochte Kartoffeln. Dafür eine Menge Soße, die auch nicht in ein Geröstl gehört. Und die Bierpreise sind dreist - € 5,20. Es ist alles teuerer geworden, ja. Aber viele Gaststätten kommen mit moderaten Preiserhöhungen aus. Die anderen - wie z.B. Ruf sind gierig. Einmal und nie wieder.

Clean dining room, table with real plants and candles. The food we ordered was good. Unfortunately, when roasting pork, there was a cold dumpling in very little sauce, but upon request this was promptly replaced by a new hot dumpling in a small bowl with a little new sauce. The portions were sufficient. We recommend the Cordon Bleu. Prices okay (from €18), but we expected more.

Onion roast was sensational. The sauerbraten was very good (a bit meat-heavy - I would have preferred a larger dumpling and less meat - but that's a matter of taste). Next time I would also switch to the onion roast. The waitresses were super friendly

We wanted to find something nice, cozy, traditional Bavarian outside of Munich and googled the restaurant on the internet. The Gasthaus Ruf absolutely exceeded our expectations, a very cozy atmosphere, warmer Service. The food is simply delicious, fresh and made with love. The selection of dishes is large and affordable compared to Munich. We'll be back! Absolutely recommended!!!

Waiting 25 minutes for a wheat beer and having to ask 3 times is quite an achievement while people who came later already had their food on the table.

Seven of us were here on Sunday at 1:15 p.m. The food came almost an hour later and we even waited forever for dessert, so we didn't leave the restaurant until around 4 p.m. It wasn't crowded... that was annoying. DoenFood itself was great - except for a piece of onion in the vanilla ice cream. Despite everything, a very good restaurant and otherwise much more pleasant than on that particular day.

A very nice Bavarian inn with an attached butcher shop. A very large selection of dishes, especially the rustic classics, are all available and recommended. The service is very friendly and you are served quickly. The prices are very reasonable for the overall service. That's not the only reason why there are still real regulars' tables here.

A nice traditional Bavarian restaurant. I would like more support for the waitresses, the nice ladies can hardly keep up when it's busy and you sometimes go unnoticed for a long time. Service was definitely friendly. Onion soup was very tasty with a strong aromatic white wine and meat broth note, 10/10! The main course onion roast was okay, but definitely not the best I've had so far. Since it's an onion roast and not just a steak, it comes with sauce! What was really missing here was flavor and liquid. Otherwise ok - meat quality top. There is still room for improvement here. Dessert (mousse au chocolate) was excellent with a very good thick consistency and a real bitter chocolate note.

I don't know what the ambience is, but I would give the place 6 stars

Bavarian Original, best quality food and service for many years

After a boat trip we stopped at this cozy restaurant - and it was simply wonderful! The beer was wonderfully tasty, the schnitzel was tender and crispy, the roast pork was buttery with a perfect crust, and the Kaiserschmarrn at the end was simply heavenly. A big compliment to the kitchen for this top performance! Our waiter (I think his name was Daniel) rounded off the visit: extremely personable, with a funny saying on his lips and always attentive. You can tell that he puts his heart and soul into his job, a pleasure from start to finish! Everything is perfect here, food, service and atmosphere. We'll definitely come back
