Gasthaus Plengemeyer in Bad Laer

Restaurant 3 out of 5 stars We ate there for BBQ evening and were both satisfied and disappointed. The organization was a disaster; several guests, like us, weren't included in the seating plan despite booking in advance. As a result, several seats were missing, and we were given a small, narrow wooden table (without decorations and without a drinks menu). After 40 minutes, we were asked what we wanted to drink. The BBQ buffet also started later than advertised. However, we really enjoyed the food and the quality offered. There was enough food for everyone, and it tasted really good👍🏻. However, some of the drink prices were outrageously high, especially for plain water🤔.

Very well-maintained with great service, and the food is AMAZING. Especially the barbecue. So much to choose from. You can't try everything, and because it's so delicious, you can roll home afterward.

The Plengemeyer Inn is a guesthouse of the highest perfection. The rooms are very, very clean, and everything was arranged to suit our large group of children. Overall, the service and the host were very friendly. But the highlight is the delicious food. It truly can't be topped. We've been there three times now, and we've already booked for January 2026. We were there on Sunday. Six people. We received very friendly service! The food arrived very quickly and was delicious! The portions were large and plentiful! We'd love to come back!

I've been to the Plengemeyer Inn several times—for dinner or for celebrations in the main hall. The atmosphere is always pleasant, the food delicious and freshly prepared. The hall is beautifully decorated and ideal for larger events. The service has always been friendly—you simply feel welcome.

I was with you again on Saturday evening for a company party and I have to say that my food was, as usual, really tasty. Thanks for that and see you next time :)

I am aware that it is difficult to find good staff. And yet I feel the need to write something. In my opinion, the young girls were overwhelmed, sometimes snippy and bitchy. Be it the lukewarm espresso where you had to put up with a snippy answer, be it the order we took (2 drinks) where we reminded you again after half an hour, or a yeast beer that you drink with a straw to get a flower. In my opinion, the two young ladies from last night are not particularly suitable. The room wasn't particularly warm either. Unfortunately the food was a bit bland. All in all, it wasn't an evening that I remember fondly.

So far I have only used the restaurant. Here I can say that Plengemeyer offers a very good service. This also justifies the slightly higher food prices compared to the region. If you're looking for good food and excellent service at a reasonable price, this is definitely the right place for you.

Went there for the first time on Easter Sunday and was completely impressed! Nice atmosphere, nice, fast service and the food is amazing! Will definitely come back!!!

I'm sorry, but we ate here on Christmas Day and won't come again, so for the price I think it's really nice to get standard food, the food is always cold, the staff is overwhelmed and completely reorganized. You constantly have to ask for food to be refilled and you are constantly looked at with rolled eyes. I'm sorry, that's why I only give it 1 star. Ps: I work in the catering industry myself and if we were to run around in such a reorganized manner, etc., we would be out long ago.

Old restaurant nothing done for decades, but clean. Landlords are totally fine. It tastes very good, the seasoning is right and there is plenty of it too. In any case it's not spoiled by the price. Recommended at any time.

Wir waren zum Plattdeuschen Theater 🎭 dort. Kaffee und Kuchen. Top Das Stück hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Viele bekannte Gesichter gesehen. Ein toller Nachmittag. Dankeschön an die Landjugend 👌🏻🍀

Ein toller Ansprechpartner für Veranstaltungen, wie Abibälle und das Weihnachtsfest ist auch immer toll :) Unnötige Begenungen mit der Security liegen aber an der Security und nicht an der Lokalität!

Wir sind auf dem Rückweg aus dem Norden hier angekommen. Aufgrund des schönen Wetters konnten wir hervorragend draußen sitzen und haben uns unter einem großzügigen Schirm niedergelassen auf soliden Holzmöbeln, Tisch und Bänke. Der Service war einwandfrei und zackig. Höflich und diskret. Das Essen gut und frisch zubereitet. Ich hatte das BBQ Chicken Bacon Bombe aus der Hühnerkeule, richtig saftig und lecker. Und mein Mann das Hardensettener Spezialpfanne, die so richtig groß war und lecker aussah und roch. Und es schmeckte. Die Portionen waren ordentlich. Für den Eierlikörbecher war leider kein Platz mehr. Das Gasthaus ist typisch Westfälisch gehalten, viel Holz und Elemente und die Aufteilung. Alles überschaulich warm als Gasthaus. Zu den Zimmern können wir nichts sagen, da wir dort gegessen haben, daher keine Sterne für die Zimmer. Eine glatte Empfehlung für die Deutsch-Westfälische Küche allemal.

Wir haben vom Schützenverein Glane hier eine Veranstaltung gehabt, wir hatten mit Plengemeyer ein rundum sorglos Paket! Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und auf Zack, hierfür vielen Dank. Leider haben sich einige daneben benommen, sodass ein Tisch darunter gelitten hat, Hierfür möchten ich mich in aller Förmlichkeit entschuldigen!

Eingeladen zu einer schönen Feier an einem Sonntag. Toller Saal, richtig gutes und leckeres Essen. Der Service war sehr, sehr gut. Aufmerksam, freundlich und immer zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Ort. Es war perfekt!
