We had ordered catering for our Christmas party. Unfortunately, Gasthaus Felsen completely forgot about us. This greatly dampened the atmosphere of our Christmas party. To their credit, the restaurant did try to deliver something, but unfortunately, we were not at all impressed with the quality of the food they did deliver. The platters looked like they had been prepared in just 20 minutes. Despite this, we were still charged the full price.

The food didn't impress me, as I didn't feel well afterward. It was more like home-style cooking, but the service was very friendly. The head chef even spoke to us that evening. The ambiance is lovely; the terrace is currently under construction.

Friends had highly praised the restaurant, but unfortunately, that didn't turn out to be true. The staff was very friendly, but the wait times for food and drinks were horrendous. You couldn't even order food and drinks at the same time, and then you had to wait 20-30 minutes for each. The steak and side dishes were okay, but not outstanding for the price. The outside area looks nice, but the inside is rather mediocre. Everyone has to decide for themselves; unfortunately, it wasn't for us...

The food was wonderful, everything was very tasty, only I ordered to take away and picked it up, I wanted to pay with a card which wasn't possible and I had to get cash again first and I didn't get a bag or box and had to eat everything in individual containers was about balancing the car, that should definitely be improved. Otherwise, I can highly recommend it. In addition, I unfortunately have to say that the service is not always good. Christmas party, picked out the food a week in advance only to be told it was already gone. I wanted to take my leftover food with me with side dishes, which wasn't possible because I could only take the meat with me and not everything else because they only have aluminum foil. So the remaining side dishes were thrown away even though I wanted to take it with me. Unfortunately, anything but good service.

Very tasty food. The oriental onion roast was great. Likewise the starter plate. We were here with our colleagues for the end of the year and all 11 dishes came to the table at the same time and warm. Very friendly and fast service. We'll be back. Recommendation.

The food was very good. The ambience was good. I was just dissatisfied with the service, it took an hour until we had our drink. I think so very cheeky, there were 10 of us and then that. The decoration was not prepared as discussed. There were only two of them in service, it's a shame that the guests have to suffer.

I was a guest with my work colleagues on November 22nd, it was our Christmas party this year. We were a group of 46 people. Of course it is logical that such a large group cannot eat a la carte. That's not logistically possible at all. After some back and forth in advance of the organization, we were able to come to an agreement and each of us found something suitable and pre-ordered it. We arrived on 11/22/24 at 6 p.m. The first impression of the restaurant was very nice. We entered the beautiful and bright rooms. Everything was very attractive, we also had enough space to sit, it was all very nice. By 8 p.m. we were still sitting at our table waiting for our appetizer platters. We were all really hungry too. It started shortly after 8 p.m., but to our surprise it wasn't the starter but the main courses that arrived. These were really beautifully prepared and also tasted very good, although some had a downer because one dish was served with rice instead of croquettes and when a colleague asked, the answer was succinct: "We don't have croquettes". Okay, we took note of that and left it as it is. After our main course we were looking forward to the desserts but oops, there was something else. The appetizer platters arrived around 9 p.m. We could have done without them now, our taste buds were now actually set to sweet and not hot and spicy. Anyway, now it was in front of us, so we ate a bit there too. Some colleagues were now starting to get restless. The clock was ticking mercilessly, we didn't have dessert yet and we hadn't given out our presents yet, but the first ones had to leave for family reasons. At around 10 p.m., after several attempts on our part, the tables were finally cleared and dessert was served. That was another eye-opener, beautifully prepared and also tasted great. That made us a little more reconciled. And we managed to hand over our presents by 11 p.m. We were then only able to play the prepared games in a very shortened form or not at all. In summary, I would like to say that the food was great, but the fact that it lasted more than 4 hours was really too long.

Unfortunately, our date night was marred by this restaurant visit. We ordered a few drinks and an appetizer in advance. This one was really good too. For the main course we ordered the rack of lamb for two people. We love rack of lamb and have eaten it very often. Unfortunately, one half of the rack of lamb was cooked through and tough and the other half was done but OK. The spices & side dishes were very tasty. When the waiter came we told him and he said he would tell the kitchen. Afterwards we had dessert. This was also very tasty. Then came the bill. We left €120 lying there. We received neither anything on the house nor a discount as compensation. Sorry, but that doesn't work at all. It's a shame that criticism is handled so poorly here.

Vor zwei Monaten das erste mal dort gegessen und es hat uns einfach voll abgeholt. Nun waren wir schon 4 mal und wir sind von jedem Gericht begeistert. Die besonderen Kreationen einzelner Gerichte sind einzigartig in der Region. Der ganze Service rundum sehr freundlich und authentisch. Wenn ihr in einem schönen Ambiente, so richtig lecker essen und satt werden wollt, dann unbedingt im Felsen reservieren!

I love steak and have eaten a lot of steak. I've been in this world for almost 40 years and have never eaten meat as good as here. The rump steak here is so tender, and juicy, and delicate, and it almost melts in my mouth. I was really, really happy. I love this restaurant!!!

We were there for dinner. I made a reservation by telephone on the day of rest by speaking to the answering machine. They actually called back on the day of rest and confirmed the reservation! Perfect! The service was very good, very friendly and very fast, despite a larger group (possibly a Christmas party). Drinks came very quickly and the food was brought very quickly too. The food was delicious, the meat was cooked to perfection. Then another 5 year old Raki… wow! The cook also came afterwards and asked questions. Great! It wasn't the first and certainly not the last time I was in the rock! Highly Recommended!

Zweiter Anlauf, ein zweites Mal nicht wirklich begeistert. Hier gibt es zumindest 2 Sterne, weil uns das Ambiente und das aufmerksame Personal überzeugt. Das Essen, die Preise: Der Vorspeisenteller zum sehr ambitionierten Preis ist eigentlich eine Zumutung. Er besteht aus einer Paste, fadem Joghurt, eingelegte Oliven und ein paar geschnittenen Paprikastreifen - völlig übersalzen, völlig überteuert. Das Hauptgericht überzeugt auch nicht: Das Rindfleisch - soll angeblich argentinisches Rindfleisch sein - hat einen sehr merkwürdigen Geschmack, teilweise zäh. Die Soße dazu total unkreativ, hier wird wohl nur mit Salz gewürzt. Und ganz ehrlich: Cevapcici möchte ich in einem Lokal mit angeblich gehobener Küche nicht auf der Karte sehen. Das bekomme ich auch beim Schnellimbiss. Orientalisch war hier leider nichts und außer Petersilie kennt man hier keine Kräuter. Schade, zweite Chance vertan, das war unser letzter Besuch.

Wir waren heute das erste mal orientalisch essen. Das Gasthaus Felsen ist modern und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Personal ist freundlich und am Gast interessiert. Das Essen hat uns super geschmeckt. Wir können dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen.

Der Felsen bietet eine sehr feine und abwechslungsreiche Karte mit orientalischen Speisen. (Türkisch, jugoslawisch). Die Gerichte werden frisch zubereitet und sind alle geschmacklich einzigartig. Bedingungslos zu empfehlen.

Bin normalerweise nicht so für orientalisches Essen, aber im Felsen würde ich eines besseren belehrt. Die gemischte Vorspeise (kleine Platte) für 4 Personen reicht bei normalem Hunger.Danach ein Rindersteak orientalisch mit Nussreis, das Fleisch (argentinisches Rumpsteak,beste Qualität) Medium auf den Punkt. Top!!!!

Hübsches Ambiente, aufmerksamer Sevice und eine ansprechende Speisekarte. Weine etwas teuer. Soweit ein attraktives Restaurant. Wenn da die schlechte Lüftung nicht wäre. Unsere Garderobe hat nach unserer Heimkehr und noch Tage später die Vielfalt der Küche wieder gegeben. Unangenehm. Daurch kein Spitzenbewertung.

Wir haben zufällig gesehen, das der Felsen renoviert wurde. Früher war er eine Bierkneipe. Als wir dann die guten Bewertungen gelesen hatten, sind wir an einem Sonntagabend schon um 17:00 Uhr dort eingekehrt. Wir bekamen noch einen reservierten Tisch, weil er erst ab 19:00 Uhr bestellt war. Die Einrichtung ist modern, hell und passt sehr gut zu einem türkischen/orientalischen Restaurant. Zum Start bestellten wir den orientalischen Vorspeiseteller für 8,90€. Er bestand aus Süzme, Olivensalat, Humus und einer Peperonipaste mit Fladenbrot. Als Hauptspeisen bestellte wir Antakya Köfte und Tepside Et für je 19,90€. Die Speisen haben uns geschmeckt aber der "orientalische Geschmack" hat uns gefehlt. Von den einzelnen Kräutern/Gewürzen, die wir in den Gerichten erwartet hatten, schmeckten wir nichts. Außerdem wurde das Fladenbrot in die Sauce serviert, so dass es schon aufgeweicht war. Des weiteren wird auch kein Lammgericht angeboten. Der Service hat gestimmt, wenn man davon absieht, dass man geduzt wird. Man kann auch seine Rechnung nicht mit Karte bezahlen, was nirgends vermerkt ist. Unserer Meinung nach ist das Restaurant zu teuer und bisher überbewertet. Da gibt es in der Region bessere orientalische Restaurants.

Durch Zufall vor drei Jahren mit dem Schlemmerblock entdeckt, seither eines unserer Lieblingsrestaurants. Egal welches Gericht wir bestellt haben, es war jedes Mal ein kulinarischer Genuss. Der Service ist hervorragend, da ist man gerne Gast. Reservierung wird empfohlen.

Wir kommen aus Bayern und waren in Schwenningen zu Besuch und wurden in das Restaurant eingeladen. Es war ein orientalischer Gaumenschmaus von Anfang bis zum Schluss. Essen und Service top. Man merkt den Bedienungen an dass es eine Leidenschaft ist Ihre Gäste zu verwöhnen 👍wir waren rundum zufrieden. Die Vorspeise und die Hauptgänge waren eine Gaumenexplosion! Fleisch perfekt auf den Punkt gebraten mit orientalischen Gewürzen verfeinert. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend.

Haben sehr gut gegessen im Felsen. Waren das erste mal dort. Personal sehr freundlich. Orientalisches Essen war von Anfang bis Ende sehr lecker. Ganz wichtig am Wochenende Tisch reservieren.

Wir sind eher zufällig dort gelandet und waren völlig begeistert! Die Fleischgerichte waren auf den Punkt zubereitet und schmeckten hervorragend. Großes Lob auch für das Salat-Dressing und die Vorspeisen. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es allerdings für den Umstand, dass man nur bar bezahlen kann und nicht mit EC-Karte. Das entspricht leider nicht dem Standard.

Wir waren auf Empfehlung im Felsen und wurde auf das angenehmste überrascht. Das Restaurant ist modern und großzügig eingerichtet, sehr schön die offene Küche. Das Essen ist türkisch/orientalisch, es gibt aber auch einige deutsche Gerichte. Wir hatten zunächst uns für ein Vorspeisenplatte mit Süzme, Walnußpaste, Olivensalat und Humus entschieden. Alles wirklich sehr gut. Dazu gab es frisches, warmes Fladenbrot. Die Hauptgerichte (2 vegetarisch, 1 Fleisch) waren auch sehr lecker, die Portionsgröße gut.Sehr aufmerksamer Service. Der Felsen ist ein wirklicher Tip in Schwenningen. Ein kleines Manko ist allerdings die fehlende Möglichkeit mit Karte zu zahlen. Das sollte heute schon Standard sein. Noch dazu, dass es nirgendwo erwähnt wird und wir erst einmal jemanden losschicken mussten, um den nächsten (nicht gerade nah gelegenen) Geldautomat zu bemühen.
