The food was pretty good, but we waited over an hour for it! No music, nothing. How can it even get 4.8 stars?

We visited Medium Rare for the first time yesterday. Upon entering, you're immediately struck by the interior, which is modern but also incorporates classic pub elements. You immediately feel at home here. Our starters were mozzarella sticks with sweet chili sauce and garlic bread with an absolutely fantastic aioli dip. For our main course, we opted for burgers. The burgers are all lovingly made with fresh ingredients and taste simply fantastic. After such a great main course, dessert was a must. We had the homemade cinnamon cake and the hot chocolate brownies, both of which were divine, just like the starter and main course. So, we've decided that this may have been our first time at Medium Rare, but it certainly won't be the last. The dry-aging cabinet, where the team presents delicious meats, is also a real eye-catcher. I'm already looking forward to ordering some of it on my next visit. Thanks to the entire Medium Rare team for the great food and service, keep up the good work 👍

We recently went to Medium Rare for the first time. Top service. Top food. Lovely ambiance. Since I can't eat everything on salads, the chef personally explained everything in the salad. I was then able to choose what I wanted and what I didn't. I've never experienced anything like it before. We had burgers and fries. Sure, it's a bit more expensive than elsewhere, but the quality is good here. The prices are completely reasonable. Everything is fresh and of very good quality, and you can taste it. The salad is amazing. We've rarely, if ever, had such a good dressing. All in all, absolutely recommended. Reservations are recommended. We'll definitely be back!! The restrooms take a bit of getting used to, but that's just complaining at a high level. Keep up the good work!! 👍🏻

This was a culinary journey. The quality of the food is simply amazing. You can get excellent meat and incredibly delicious burgers, along with homemade desserts. The service is incredibly friendly and incredibly competent. If you want to eat really well, this is the place for you.

We attended a company event at the Burger & Steakhouse Medium Rare. The organization was excellent and accommodating, the staff attentive and very friendly, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was absolutely relaxing. We'd be happy to come back.

A true treat for all the senses! A highly recommended steak restaurant with a super friendly and competent team! You feel at home as soon as you enter – the decor is tasteful and creates a relaxed atmosphere where you can unwind. The food was a real highlight: I had a steak, my son and my husband each had a burger – and we were all absolutely thrilled! The meat was cooked to perfection, wonderfully tender, and perfectly seasoned – not too much, not too little. Just right for the discerning palate. The service also deserves high praise: warm, attentive, and very professional. Our last-minute reservation went smoothly, even though the restaurant is understandably often fully booked – a real insider tip that's no longer that! No matter how big or small, how hungry or not so much – everyone gets their money's worth here. We're always happy to come back.

Someone here has turned his calling into a career! Rarely has a restaurant visit left such a lasting impression on us as the one at Medium-Rare. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted personally by the boss. He explained the concept of the shop and the daily specials to us with a lot of passion - informative, charming and simply likeable. The atmosphere is relaxed, warm and full of good vibes - carried by the entire team, who are genuinely happy to be there. And the food? Absolutely awesome! I have rarely eaten such a good burger - juicy, perfectly grilled, with the best ingredients. Our friends' grill plate was also a real highlight: quality and preparation at the highest level. What particularly impressed us: We felt extremely welcome from the first to the last minute. At a time when you feel more like a number in many restaurants, there is real appreciation here. Every order – whether a drink, main course or dessert – was accompanied with attention and personal advice. You can tell: The goal here is for the guest to be completely satisfied - and that's exactly what we were. A real passion project with taste, soul and a great come-back factor!

The service was great, super friendly and warm. The salad dressing was very tasty and something different than just vinegar, oil or the standard yogurt dressing The skin gait was good, but unfortunately far from excellent. If I pay €31 for a meal, I of course expect a sauce with it. The guest can choose between herb butter for the steak or ketchup for the fries. He has to pay for one of them again - very bold. Unfortunately, the herb butter with only two mini pieces wasn't enough. What's the idea behind it? Nobody's side dish is dry and you don't eat meat dry either, especially since it wasn't seasoned either. Another tip: leave out the rosemary. I only had the taste of rosemary in my mouth with every bite of the meat. Almost as if you had fried it in the pan with the rosemary? Unfortunately, the taste of the meat was completely lost.

Burger and steak restaurant but they do have vegan, fish and some other alternatives. We had US steak medium rare, perfectly cooked and very tasty, no fat. Greek burger and cheeseburger which comes well done with no choice, as equally tasty. Dessert we had cinnamon cake which is homemade daily and you can smell as they bring it to the table. The menu is only German at the time of writing but they said they would have english in two weeks. However the brothers spoke very good English and helped with menu translation and suggestions. We originally went here on a Saturday evening but they had no availability so booked for the Sunday so ensure you book. Highly recommended 5**

First of all, the food is really good, service is nice. Now the big BUT: you call at 6:10 p.m. and want to order two burgers to take away - the answer: sorry, we don't know when we can do that - give us your number and we'll call you when we throw the burgers on the grill. I'm sorry, what? So dear people - if you have a trained or experienced kitchen and service crew then you can tell the customer on the phone: 20, 20, 40 minutes or whatever - but we will call them when they can get the food - that is really not acceptable people. You have to change that - otherwise I'll never get anything from you again.

Small, nice restaurant with very friendly and quick staff. The furnishings are cozy and we felt comfortable. My burger was very tasty and one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. The fish, however, was tasty with lots of vegetables, but the fish itself was very small for the price, which we found to be too expensive. Otherwise you can recommend the result.

Unfortunately, like the other guests at the neighboring tables, we had to wait over an hour for the food we ordered. Hardly any of the service staff was in the dining room while we waited. The steak we ordered was very good. However, the burger patty was too dry for me. But the sweet potato fries are awesome! Overall nice. However, the service and communication can be expanded.

Waren zu 2. an Silvester hier essen, es war sehr angenehm und freundlich vor Ort. Nicht allzu viel los und ruhige Atmosphäre. Es gab ein Silvester Spezial und zwar war dass das Wagyū Rinder Filet, die Gelegenheit wurde direkt genutzt. Dass Fleisch war sehr gut und genau wie ich es wollte. Zusätzlich gab es ein Argentinisches Rumpsteak was auch sehr lecker geschmeckt hat. Wir gehen aufjedenfall wieder dort essen :)

Simply the best burger and steak shop around. A few months ago the service was sometimes lengthy and not good. That has now completely changed. The boss personally shows how to treat his guests optimally and how to make them feel really comfortable. The food, in my case primarily burgers, is simply fantastic. The prices are completely reasonable and it's just fun to eat there. Been there many times and will come back often!

The burgers are also a highlight. Juicy, perfectly grilled patties that are served in a freshly baked roll - here you can immediately notice that work is used with high -quality ingredients. I would particularly like to highlight the variety of creative burger combinations that range from classic to unusual and do justice to every taste. Every bite is a pleasure! Another plus point is the incredibly good service. The service is extremely friendly, attentive and makes you feel completely comfortable. You immediately notice that hospitality is very important here. I can only warmly recommend this shop and look forward to my next visit!

Great, the guys really know what they're selling there. The taste is absolutely spot on, when they say eat it medium rare, then there is also an explanation as to why you should use this cooking level. In my opinion, the meat taste was so great that I skipped the salt and pepper. The side dishes, the grilled vegetables and the homemade spaetzle with whiskey sauce were also a dream. First of all, I had the bread with herb butter, which I also made myself, which was simply amazing. Mom conjured up the mousse for dessert, which was also simply delicious. The portion was a bit small but it's like diamonds, the good is also small. Thank you “Mom”, that was great cinema! I was on a business trip and went back the next day and when I have to go from Bremen to Switzerland again in the second week, luckily my route takes me past here, then I come back here and let myself be pampered. Thank you all and see you next year.

It's worth it. After regular visits to the location mentioned, I can conscientiously describe my own impressions here. Burgers 10/10: For a restaurant that offers burgers, the Burger & Steakhouse is in the upper segment without charging high-end prices. There is something for every taste and consideration for socially disdained tastes is also required. Steaks 10/10: Anyone who goes out to eat here sees how many people from different social classes come and is positively amazed at the quantity, without any qualitative restrictions, of various different pieces of beef that are presented here in every conceivable degree of cooking. Meat lovers will find what they are looking for here. Veggie/Vegan: Delicious alternatives are also offered here. There is absolutely no exclusion here. Conclusion: Anyone who has eaten a lot of burgers/steaks/flowers knows when they have found a good restaurant that they can happily return to. Anyone who thinks they are a restaurant critic should test restaurant chains and not make the lives of hard-working middle class restaurant owners more difficult. I was here with my family and we ordered a cheeseburger with mozzarella sticks for our son and a veggie burger with fries for ourselves. I have eaten in many restaurants and have often been pleasantly surprised at how well they prepare vegetarian or vegan burgers (I usually eat meat myself, but often choose the vegetarian version out of love for my wife). Unfortunately, this veggie burger was a disappointment. The WOW factor was completely missing and the fries were unfortunately poorly fried. I also find it unreasonable to charge €1 for a little mayonnaise. The drink order was also inaccurate: we ordered 0.75 liters of water, but were served 1 liter.

The restaurant is located close to the town center and offers an appealing ambience with both rustic and modern accents. It is usually in the eye of the beholder how pleasing such a merger is. When it comes to food, tastes usually differ, but here every course has been a special treat for the palate. I would like to highlight the satisfying burgers (personal recommendation: “Black Forest Burger”). The meat dishes also offer an extravagance in terms of quality and freshness. To all price critics: quality and good service have their price. If you want something cheap, you should still turn to your trusted fast food restaurant. Criticism: There are sometimes longer waiting times, especially if many guests have to be served at the same time. It's good that the respective service staff informs you of the longer waiting times. Tip: An online reservation (also by telephone) in advance is recommended. Conclusion: It's not for nothing that it's the best-rated restaurant in Villingen-Schwenningen

Introducing the Medium Rare regulars' table was one of the first and best decisions in my young student life. The Black Forest Burger turned out to be my all-time favorite. The taste created by the patty, the Black Forest ham and the mountain cheese is unique for me personally. Big praise at this point for the ingredients, you can taste the difference! So far every burger has been a hit, so we haven't even gotten to the steaks yet. The way we deal with customers is also great. Friendliness is our top priority, so you immediately feel at home!
