Not too Recommend for people who think they absolutely have to pay attention to their slim figure. You can recommend everything there. Anyone who leaves the inn hungry has only themselves to blame. P.S. Senior-friendly portions are also offered there

We had a birthday dinner there on September 19, 2024 and were there for the first time. GREAT food, very friendly and everything was nice. A great restaurant with German cuisine. We'll be back.

We were there for a snack on Saturday after a funeral service. There was a class reunion at 3:00 p.m., but they gave us an advance notice. The staff, the food and the service were great, thank you for that.

Had a very good meal there today, all I can say was delicious!!! Sitting comfortably outside (I had delicious liver with mashed potatoes) hmmmm. Super friendly service with smiles and laughter... no longer a given.

A little gem! 🥰Very pleasant atmosphere. Family business. When I visited there, the chef himself brought the food to our table. You don't get your food served that often. The meal included a freshly made salad with a wonderful taste 👁, not a standard salad. I was able to enjoy an excellent prepared veal liver with mashed potatoes. At my request, I also got green beans. Of course there were also plenty of onion rings. The lady who served was a warm experience for me. I also got my food very quickly. However, I can say that at peak times it can sometimes take 40 minutes for the food to arrive. But that is because the couple running the restaurant run the restaurant entirely alone. I would also take 1 hour to be able to enjoy such a taste experience again next time! My recommendation for this restaurant... definitely visit! My heartfelt thanks for this taste experience. 🫶👌🥰

We celebrated my dad's 60th birthday at the inn. It was just an all around great evening. The hosts are such great people. Here you can simply tell that the “Old School” is run with a lot of love and enthusiasm. The food was great and was of great quality. This is how you imagine home cooking, true to the motto “Feed like your mother” 😉. We will definitely come back here more often and can highly recommend the restaurant 👍🏻. The restaurant is run by a couple. Both are very attentive and accommodating. It is freshly cooked. Very good German home cooking. The portions are sufficient. The children's schnitzel alone was huge. My pepper steak was very tender and well fried. Clear recommendation.

Really by far one of the best restaurants in Magdeburg, both in terms of service and food. Large portions, the price is absolutely justified and the staff is very, very nice! This won't be our last visit 😇

Thanks to friends, we went there for dinner for the second time. Service is very nice and attentive. The food is extremely tasty, I would advise normal eaters not to choose a starter. Because the portions are very large. You should plan on waiting a bit because everything is freshly prepared. Be sure to reserve in advance as there are only a few tables. We can only recommend it and would be happy to come back.

If you want very good and rich food, then this is a wonderful place for you. The portions are really big and extremely tasty, and the food is freshly cooked here. Always worth a visit.

Nice shop. Small but nice. The food was great and the service was great too. Man just needs a little time. Eating took a bit of a long time but the portions are very large and you can of course take whatever is left with you. One lady just makes drinks and the other lady takes the food order. It is directly opposite the tram stop with line 2 towards Westerhüsen, basically 2 stops after the SKL stop. The only negative point is that it is a bit loud. Just a tip, please reserve a table in advance because there are only 8 to 10 tables. Otherwise I will recommend it.

The portions are so outrageously small that you definitely won't feel full when you wake up. On top of that, they are unreasonably expensive... so you're definitely better off somewhere else. For a coffee, this is a great place... .but you should leave it at that! Incidentally, the rating of 4.7 points is absolute nonsense,....rated realistically by a chef,...we are definitely below 4 points...which is a shame!

A small, fine family-run restaurant. You have to reserve a table in advance as the restaurant is very popular. We always have a very relaxed evening with very good food and drink. The interaction with the guests is familiar, so that you feel completely comfortable.

We have been using this location around Christmas time for several years to eat with friends. We have always been satisfied with the food so far. Price/performance is completely ok. The location is rustic and clean. The operation is in a class of its own. A mistake (yes, that's human) is straightened out with a lot of humor. If there is time, she is also available for a chat. We would love to come back and not just at Christmas

Very nice inn. Really good and hearty cuisine and a warm host family. The dishes are all far too delicious to resist :-). Rich and more than reasonable in price. It's just nice to be here, which is also shown by the many regular guests. Always happy.

A beautiful place. If you like home cooking, you'll get your money's worth. It takes a little longer, but it's worth it. Very personal and absolutely recommended.

Waren heute zur Weihnachtsfeier dort. Also was uns dort geboten wurde, war klasse. Absolute Extraklasse! Egal ob Ente oder Krustenbrqten. Alles toll!!!

Super gute bürgerliche deutsche Küche. Da wurden Erinnerungen an frühere Zeiten wach. Soljanka wie sie Schmecken muss, super Bratkartoffeln und Würzfleisch auf dem Schnitzel. So solls sein. Vom Küchenchef persönlich serviert und die Getränke von einer sehr freundlichen Dame geliefert. Obwohl wir erst 1 Stunde vor Ladenschluss eingetroffen waren, wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen. Wir wohnen zwar weiter weg, werden Dieselloks bei unserem nächsten Magdeburg-Trip sicher wieder besuchen.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen im Rahmen einer kleinen Familienfeier im Gasthaus Alte Schule. Die Vorabstimmungen zur Feierlichkeit waren etwas holprig. Allerdings war das servierte Essen hervorragend und wirklich schmackhaft. Die beiden Gastwirte bedienen ihre Gäste mir großer Herzlichkeit und klasse Service. Wir kommen gern wieder 👍🏻

Es stimmt alles, was geschrieben steht. Einfach mal hingehen und ausprobieren.

Super leckere deutsche Hausmannskost und alles wird frisch vom Koch zubereitet. Die Bedienungen sind sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und die Karte ist nicht zu groß, bietet aber eine schöne Auswahl an Gerichten.

Die Klassiker von früher. Aber gut gemacht. Gut besucht. Urige Gaststätte mit klassischer Speisekarte. Findet man nicht mehr oft. Wer also die guten alten Gericht essen möchte kommt hier auf seine Kosten. Teller sind üppig, Preise sehr moderat und die Inhaber gehen freundlich auf die Gäste ein. Reservierung ist empfehlenswert, sonst bekommt man eventuell keinen Tisch.

Ein wirkliches nettes Ehepaar ist dort als Koch und Kellnerin zu "Hause". Sehr amüsant und herzlich. Das Essen ist mit Herz und Verstand gemacht und natürlich sehr, sehr lecker :-)

Wo soll ich nur anfangen 😃 Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht von , Qualität der Speisen ( mega ) , Preise einfach top , Portionsgröße Hammer 👍 Schön das auch der Küchenchef persönlich an den Tisch kommt und Nachfrage wie es schmeckt . Auch unsere Bedienung sehr freundlich und nicht aufdringlich . Hier wird noch nach alter Schule gekocht und das schmeckt man auch 👍👍👍 Ich sehe auch als Gastronom, das hier viel Potenzial noch drin steckt was man noch ausschöpfen kann ( zb Interieur ) Es gibt schon gute günstige rustikale Möbel die hier gut reinpassen würden. Ein Zwei Raumteiler, Theke schmaler machen um mehr Plätze zu schaffen wäre auch eine Option. Alles im allen war das ein toller Besuch was uns immer wieder herführen wird wenn wir Schnack auf gute deutsche Küche haben . Danke für das leckere Essen und wir werden uns Wiedersehen .
