Garibaldi Restaurant in Baden-Baden

In mid-May, my wife and I had dinner at the Garibaldi in Baden-Baden in the afternoon. For starters, we had an Italian antipasti. The starter plate was plentiful and delicious. Afterward, we ate homemade lasagna and a four-seasoned pinsa. The pinsa tasted really bland, and for my taste, it lacked some Italian spices. Lasagna was okay. Service was fine, friendly, and the food came relatively quickly. The waitress asked us what we wanted to drink, so I had to ask for the drinks menu first. The prices, in my opinion, were rather high.

Some of the women seem to have had experiences other than the pure restaurant experience, which doesn't sound very professional considering the alcohol levels caused by the staff. So what's it like when you fuck completely drunk customers in rooms belonging to the restaurant? Dolce Vita? One-sided with completely drunk customers?

We enjoyed our dinner. We were looking for late night dining (after 22:00). This was a good choice.

Both the pastas and the pizzas were delicious. We relaxed and enjoyed our meal in the outdoor seating. The staff was welcoming and also friendly.

Wir waren zu viert da, 2x wurde Antipasti als Vorspeise gewählt - was leider ein sehr grosser Fehler war...!!! Die Auswirkung zeigte sich schon auf der Toilette im Lokal, zu Hause ging's dann heftig weiter. Am nächsten Tag bin ich gleich um 12h hin und habe den Kellner informiert - Chef kommt erst um 17.30h. Als ich dann abends den Chef sprechen wollte, hies es der sitzt dort am Tisch! Dann kam ein anderer und sagte mir der Chef wäre nicht da und hat alles abgewiegelt....toller service!! Nie wieder...

Terrible service. After we asked if we could sit outside, the waiter reluctantly agreed that we could sit at a free table outside. We waited a long time to place an order - but the waiter just didn't come. Instead, he stood there and chatted with his colleague. Finally we crossed the street and went to an Asian restaurant - an excellent decision! We were served quickly there and had a delicious meal. This is how it should be in a decent restaurant. A friend from Portugal came to visit and we took him to Baden-Baden to show him this beautiful city. Unfortunately, this incident could have left a bad impression on your restaurant. Luckily, there are plenty of other great places here that can make up for it.

Pasta mit Gambas sehr gut, Salat nicht so knackig und ertränkt in Sahne. Offener Wein Arneis war nicht gut. Enges Sitzen mit den anderen Gästen. Insgesamt ganz in Ordnung.

I have never experienced such unprofessional and rude service. The waiter constantly seemed annoyed and in a bad mood, scolded colleagues and treated us in a rude and stroppy manner. The highlight was at the end of our visit when he left a handwritten tip on the receipt without our consent. When we asked him, he reacted angrily and aggressively. Such behavior is completely unacceptable.

Food was impeccable, service was friendly and relatively quick considering it was quite busy. But we had to figure out the bill for four couples ourselves. When clearing away the service was almost too quick, plates being thrown away from under your nose when you're still chewing is not for everyone... One person in our group had a cold burger. I had vittello tonnato as a starter and saltimboca with pasta, it was very good and was just enough ;) For the price, the portions could have been larger. All in all, still recommended!

Ich denke die Zutaten waren gerade im Angebot in der Metro Kühltheke … geht gar nicht! Dann die Fischsuppe … ok es war ne Tomatensuppe mit reichlich Fischeinlage und Muscheln … geschmacklich weit von einer Bouillabaisse (als welche es auf der Karte steht) entfernt … max. Mittelklasse und deutlich ziemlich versalzen oder mit reichlich Glutamat „verfeinert“…. Schade - das Restaurant ist ganz gemütlich … das Essen auf keinen Fall nicht auf dem Niveau eines italienischen Ristorante 🥲

It was worth a try... 🥲 So that's better An Antipasti Italia with Greek sheep's cheese and supermarket pepperoni filled with cream cheese is anything but Italian antipasti. I think the ingredients were currently on sale in the Metro refrigerated counter... that's not possible! Then the fish soup... ok it was a tomato soup with plenty of fish and mussels... the taste was far removed from a bouillabaisse (which it is on the menu)... max. middle class and clearly over-seasoned or "refined" with plenty of glutamate. It's a shame - the restaurant is very cozy... the food is definitely not at the level of an Italian ristorante 🥲 The price is not at all appropriate for the quality delivered!

Overall the burger was good, but the meat was a bit too raw for my taste. It's a shame that the portion of chips doesn't contain kechup or mayo

Unfriendly staff, not good service. Without showing the menu, you were asked directly what you wanted to drink, the drinks you ordered came after the starter and almost no dish was assigned to the right person. Plates are taken from the table without comment while others are still eating. The portion of ravioli was lukewarm, carelessly prepared and consisted of 9 overcooked ravioli. When you said goodbye you were ignored by 2 waiters at the exit, anyone who didn't know how to say hello and goodbye had no place in the service. The pinsa was good, but the ravioli was unfortunately more than disappointing.

Wir wollten zwischen Weihnachtsmarkt und Festspielhaus noch etwas essen. Ristorante Garibaldi hat uns nicht enttäuscht trotz mäßiger Bewertungen. Wir hatten uns für Pizza entschieden und die war hervorragend, auch der Rand aus dem besonderen Pinsa-Teig. Preis-Leistung war vollkommen in Ordnung, die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam. Unsere Empfehlung: unbedingt hier Pizza essen!

I was there when the reinsurance people were there. You didn't get shit to eat. And expensive. Double price. I complained. Then I got a coffee. You shouldn't eat there during this time. Such a shame.

The service in the restaurant was slow and impersonal- seemed the 3 men at the front of the restaurant were not interested in some of their customers and more interested in a couple of regulars or stepping out the front door all the time to look around. Spaghetti Carbonara was very dry and stodgy. There are much better and friendlier restaurants very close by so I wouldn’t recommend

Best lunch in Baden Baden. Lívia's service made us come back, and without any surprise we realized that returning was an even better experience!! Don't forget to try the Greek salad and Salmon. Very honest price. We loved the excellent service at this place. Score 1,000!

Sometimes you wonder who is thinking. Everything was great, just Baden-Baden prices. But there is no serious justification for paying an additional €1.50 for parmesan.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with our visit to this restaurant. The pinsa with truffle cream and porcini mushrooms tasted completely bland and lacked any spice or sophistication. The spaghetti carbonara was also not nearly as tasty as you would expect at an Italian restaurant. The service was also poor. We had asked for salt, but it was only brought to us the second time we asked. We were not offered dessert or other drinks such as water, which should be standard in a good restaurant. In addition, there was no greeting from the kitchen, which is often common in more “upscale” Italian restaurants. The worst thing, however, was the waiter's attempt to add more tip to the end of the bill than we stated. Such behavior is completely unacceptable and leaves a bad impression. All in all, the food was disappointing and the service also left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Went on a short trip and ate delicious pinsa and great penne arrabiata at Garibaldi and paid a fair price. The waitresses were attentive and friendly. In fact, you sit a little too closely at the next table.

We wanted to have a good Italian meal and so we made reservations. The reception was a bit strange, the service men seemed very stressed. For dinner we ordered saltimbocca with pasta. A plate came with 2 saltimbocci in sauce, nothing else on it, no vegetables etc. Price: €29.90. The pasta came in a separate bowl: price €6.00. Total price €35.90. Even if the taste of the food is ok... was, i.e. the Saltimbocci, the price is completely exorbitant. The production cost of the pasta including labor and energy: a maximum of €0.30. We feel a bit ripped off.

We ate at this place with some friends, the food was very delicious and abundant but the service was terrible!!! Very bad, it took them a long time to serve us, they didn't bring the drinks menu, the waiter never had the attention to lift the plates, he didn't do his job well!! We visited the restaurant yesterday and were unfortunately very disappointed. We ordered two burgers, a bolognese and a pinsa. The waiter simply asked us if we wanted fries or salad as a side without pointing out that these cost extra. In the end we found out that the side dishes cost an extra 5 euros each - a total of 10 euros more for two burgers, without us being told this beforehand. Such information must be communicated to the guest clearly and in a timely manner. The taste of the food was also far below our expectations and did not match the price level at all. The quality of the dishes did not justify the price in any way.

Well, what can I say, all but one of the waiters were unfriendly. We were treated like second choice guests. But this has already been mentioned several times here in the comments. The food is okay, but I for one wanted to leave as quickly as possible.

On a attendu près de 40 minutes entre le plat et le dessert et il a fallu appeler un autre serveur pour passer la commande du dessert. Dommage car les pattes et desserts étaient très bon. Don’t ask for clarification on a menu because “that’s what it says on the menu” and he won’t answer! Bordering on aggression when paying because the boss does not want the card inserted! I ate there with my family, the pinsa and pasta were very tasty, but the service is bottomless. Completely unfriendly staff, the food is thrown on your table, the wrong things were brought and when you asked about it, the answer was sloppy. If you want to eat delicious food, you should eat here, but you should be prepared for bad-tempered staff and poor service.

I'm just shocked. I ate at this restaurant a year ago and the food was pretty mediocre. But since I didn't feel like going somewhere else for long, I thought. Come on, let's give the restaurant another chance. The lady greeted us and wanted to lead us to a table until I saw her holding a dog bowl filled with water. The waiter picked it up and the waiter tipped the dog bowl with the water into the sink over the dishes where the glasses and plates were. This is just disgusting and disgusting. There may be people who keep dogs like that and for whom it's okay, but for many people it's not normal... just unhygienic. And I don't know what the health department says about something like that. You don't know at all whether this animal has any worms or anything else. It's not human and animal things don't belong in the kitchen or near it.

Un bel posto in un piacevole giardino,ho mangiato un buona insalata. Peccato per il servizio scadente e il personale arrogante.

Dieses Lokal sollte man meiden, wir wollten Essen und 1 Flasche Wein trinken. der empfohlene Wein war nicht mehr da, danach haben wir in der Weinkarte sage und schreibe 4 Weine nacheinander ausgewählt, die aber leider alle nicht mehr vorhanden waren. Jetzt tauchte freudestrahlend der Chef auf mit 4 Flaschen italienischen No Name Weinen, die er uns für teures Geld empfahl, no danke, wir verließen das Lokal und fühlten uns verarscht!!!

Früher Abend bei schönen Wetter am offenen Fenster: unfreundlicher Empfang, die aufgestellten Stoffservietten wurden kurzerhand gegen Papier getauscht. Kein einziges freundliches Wort des barschen Kellners. Und dann leider auch noch ein völlig versalzenes Essen, selbst nach Kritik im 2. Anlauf. Grauenhaft schlecht.

The Pinsa pizzas and the Sepia are wonderful! Unfortunately the seating is pretty tight. But on weekdays at lunchtime it is pretty quiet. I was there with my mom last Thursday. She had a salad with gaberoni and I had the cuttlefish. As always, very tasty. What my mom liked: there is non-alcoholic beer from Jever (Jever Fun). This is her favorite beer. Beautiful interior with paintings by Bollenhut ladies and photos of prominent guests on the wall. The way to the toilet is up a flight of stairs, not disabled friendly, but it is nicely decorated with oil paintings. High prices.

Friendly setting. Well attended. Felt. the moderately correct boss: brings us 2 additional coffees not ordered and takes advantage of a joke to charge us for them. Rude, this gentleman ignored us on the way out. Sees us struggling with our pizza by cutting it with knives that didn't cut without changing them. And this gentleman was not overworked. The food is fortunately good, thanks to the cook. Be careful with the bill.

Never eaten so badly. We should have read the reviews beforehand! Food carelessly slapped onto the plate, lukewarm and there wasn't even a hint of spiciness in the penne arrabiata. The saltimbocca turned out to be three small mini pieces of meat drowned in a thin sauce. The fried potatoes ordered as a side dish were soaked in fat and completely salt-free. Salt and pepper was not provided. With the Primitivo we ordered, we discovered that it was a very cheap wine and we discovered a lumpy, thick mass at the bottom of the glass. When we asked, we were told that it was wine sugar (we had never heard of it before) and that it was normal. The service was unfriendly and uncaring. Absolutely bad value for money. There was no tip for this disappointment. We would have been better off walking a few steps further to Leo's. The price-performance ratio is right there. Top quality of food and taste and the service is a dream!! Worth every penny!
