Tolle Lokation Sehr freundlicher Service, waren mit Hund da, umgehend Wasser und Leckerlis bekommen Essen sehr lecker - alles in allem ein rundum perfekter Besuch - auf jeden Fall kommen wir wieder

Ich hatte einen Tisch für 4 Personen um 18:30 Uhr reserviert. Da wir bereit einige Minuten früher ankamen, haben wir dies freundlicherweise vorher telefonisch abgeklärt. Dies war auch kein Problem und uns wurde freundlich mitgeteilt, dass wir gerne früher kommen dürfen. Uns bediente dann ein kräftig stämmiger Mann mit einem nicht deutschen Akzent. Er war auch am Anfang sehr freundlich, da das Wirtshaus noch nicht voll war. Je voller es allerdings wurde desto hektischer und ungehaltener wurde er.  Man hat bei der Getränkebestellung freundlich gefragt ob es ein Kirsch-Bananensaft gab, da wir keine Getränkekarte bekommen haben. Hier wurde schon auf eine pampige Art gesagt, dass man sowas nicht habe. Auch im weiteren Verlauf des Abends wurde es nicht besser. Man wollte nach dem Hauptgang noch etwas essen und wir haben noch eine Portion Leberkas bestellt. Dieser war leider aus, was aber kein Problem war. Man schaut kurz nochmal in die Karte, was dem Kellner zu lange gedauert hatte und wir bekamen die Aussage: „Geht das nicht ein wenig schneller? Ich arbeite hier nicht auf Zeit sondern auf Umsatz!“ Hier hätte es uns eigentlich schon reichen müssen. Aber wir kennen ja die Bayerische Mentalität. Es gab also doch noch einen Nachtisch. Irgendwann, wollten wir dann aber doch die Rechnung haben. Der Kellner kam und legte uns die Rechnung über 144,50€ hin. Wir überlegten kurz und ich meinte darauf: „Mach 150€ und dann passt das.“ Anscheinend hat das dem Kellner wiederum nicht gefallen und meinte „mach 10% dann bist du bei 160€!“ Das hat uns in dem Moment so geschockt, dass wir ihm nix gegeben haben. Wollte er auch dann nicht mehr. Als er allerdings gegangen ist bekamen wir noch folgend Satz hinterher geschmettert: „wenn du das nächste mal kommst und ich bin da, bekommst du keinen Tisch mehr von mir!“ Sehr freundlicher und gelungener Abend. Das nächste mal schauen wir uns allerdings mal nach einem anderen Lokal um.

Der reservierte Tisch war nicht verfügbar und wir mussten uns zu anderen Personen an den Tisch setzen. Nicht schlimm, aber wenn man extra reserviert erwarte ich auch einen freien Tisch.

Everything OK, food OK but nothing special. Prices a bit exaggerated for what you get. But what bothered me most was that everything was so cramped table to table. If the table next to you gets up, you have to stop your meal so that it can go between the tables. Sorry, that's not possible.

our absolute favorite Augustinian. A consistently fantastic kitchen and staff for years. In the evening there is light beer from the Augustinian wooden barrel. the menu is consistently very good. There are also specials.

Food was plentiful and tasted very good. Nevertheless, the prices are already very overpriced, hence the point deduction & that Parking space is a disaster.

We ate at the Augustiner on December 20th, 2024 during the Bundesliga game. I had the onion roast from the sirloin of beef, I can't remember such a perfectly fried piece of meat in a restaurant. Absolutely great and definitely justifies the price.

We called them at 21:40 to ask if the kitchen was still open and when they would close. The guy on the phone said the kitchen closes at 22. We arrived at 21:50, and they told us their kitchen was closed... what a waste of time, and the staff on the phone and when we arrived were super unfriendly because god forbid we want to eat this 'late.'

Super delicious food and of course a great beer. The prices are completely reasonable and the service is super nice and quick - even when there are a lot of guests present. Also suitable for vegetarians.

AS ALWAYS worth a visit. VERY good Bavarian cuisine and attentive service. When it comes to vegetarian dishes, a change every now and then wouldn't be a bad idea.

A little old. The food was okay, with spaetzle as a side dish you could expect homemade ones. The breading of the Munich schnitzel came off straight away and there was no taste of fresh horseradish at all. The Kaiserschmarrn, on the other hand, was great, and the nougat dumplings were also ready. Overall, it's rather expensive and unfortunately not everything is fresh or homemade - a shame

Wie immer ein Genuß - sind sehr häufig vor Bayern Spielen da. Ja es ist immer gut voll und auch sehr laut und der Service ist immer unter Vollgas. Diesmal war es aber ein wenig langsamer als gewohnt - meine Suppe vor der 1. Hoibe war mir neu. Daher diesmal einen Stern Abzug. Sonst aber wie immer alles TOP und das Essen wie immer guad.

A really good German restaurant. Food was delicious. Duck and meat schnitzel and their accompaniments were delicious. The schnitzel was cooked perfectly, without absorbing any oil.

Wir waren nicht zum ersten mal dort und waren ehrlich überrascht über den kräftigen Preisanstieg. Das Essen selbst war Standard, auf eventuelle Unverträglichkeiten wurde nicht eingegangen. Trotz Reservierung sassen wir nicht im Restaurantbereich an einem hohen Tisch, was in Ordnung war, allerdings war der Geräuschpegel/die Akkustik sehr schlecht, so dass man sich nur mit Mühe unterhalten konnte. Auch war unser Tisch gar nicht beleuchtet, so dass wir praktisch im Dunkeln saßen. Bedienung war gut. Alles in allem doch etwas enttäuschend.

The food was good, home-style and the service was very accommodating, attentive and very friendly. Unfortunately, the ambience wasn't that good because people were crammed together and it was extremely loud. If you wanted to have a conversation, the noise level was extreme

I don’t think I’ve had a work trip to Garching that hasn’t involved a trip to the Augustiner. On the latest occasion the place was full of Bayern fans so we ate outside and the waiter let us know as soon as there was space inside. The variety of food is great and always some tasty veggie options. The service is very Bavarian - straight forward and efficient. Don’t expect pleasantries or small talk as there’s no time for that. But you’ll get your food fairly quickly and beer on tap!

Service is mediocre, you have to go to the checkout to pay. Cheese patties with rock-hard ready-fried onions, a ready-made product from the supermarket tastes better. The price level is then slightly higher. Never again!

Immer wieder eine Freude im Garchinger Augustiner essen zu gehen. Gemütliches bayrisches Ambiente und sehr gute Küche und immer wieder wechselnde Speisekarte der Jahreszeit angepasst mit vielen regionalen Produkten - auch sehr gute Variationen für Vegetarier und Veganer bei absolut annehmbaren Preisen. Sehr aufmerksame Bedienung. Heute war nur der Geräuschpegel etwas zu hoch, was nur einem großen Tisch zuzuschreiben war.

Usually a top place. However, today we had disastrous serving staff! The lady took our food order and then came back after what felt like an eternity and asked us if we wanted the bill. We then asked when our food would come? She took out the order pad on which our order was even written down and went into the kitchen with it. She came back and announced: sorry, the kitchen is closed! I've never experienced anything like that!

We were there on a Sunday evening and sat in the entrance area despite having reserved a table. Okay, it was after an FCB game. But it wasn't a problem - we were treated very well and looked after very well. The food was really good and so were the drinks. The dessert - the nougat dumplings - mega! If Garching - then Augustiner!! We'd love to come back. Now a year has passed and we came back. Two evenings in a row. And what can I say - nothing has changed!!! The food was great, the staff was great and the location was Bavarian. See you next time!!

Seit Jahren regelmässig im Augustiner. Es gibt auch selten irgendwelche Beanstandungen. Ein zuverlässiger Ort Ort für gutes Essen und anständigen Service. Dieses Mal hat aber gezeigt, dass man überlegen sollte, ob gewisse Personen in den Service gehören oder nicht. Speisekarte ausgeben, Bestellung aufnehmen und nach 1h die Rechnung stellen wollen, obwohl das Essen noch nicht da war. Dann mitzuteilen, dass das Essen gar nicht mehr kommt, da nun die Küche zu ist. Es kann ja vorkommen, dass man vergisst es der Küche zu melden, aber anstelle sich zu entschuldigen, den Gästen die Schuld zuzuweisen geht gar nicht. Wirklich entäuschende Erfahrung dieses Mal.

Ein schöner und gemütlicher Gasthof in Garching. Perfekt für Fussballreisende und natürlich auch für den normalen Gast. Sehr freundliches Personal und leckeres Essen. Gut an der U-Bahnstation gelegen.

Original pub. Sensational beer, fresh from the barrel. Top dishes, with a slight point deduction because the 1/2 duck was tasty, but very dry. But it could also have been because we were late. The starter was sensational. But everything is at a tavern level. By the way: just a snack for 11:50€.

A great traditional Munich pub! We sat in the rustic atmosphere: fast, attentive service; lots of locals; later in the evening music (maybe because of the Oktoberfest) and perhaps the best Kaiserschmarrn of my life...it was perfect all around!

It‘s a place „ok“ to go for breakfast. Not 5 star. Those are places in my opinion where you have to go if you are in the neighborhood. Here you get ok breakfast. Cappuccinos are not really barista style, had pancakes, also good, but no special wow experience. This is, what I‘d say 4-star…

I come here often for business and private purposes. Never had a bad experience, consistently good quality, great service. Nobody looks stupid and I've never waited long. During the Oktoberfest the place was really full and we still managed to get a seat at the bar. Is my absolute favorite Augustiner. I'm already afraid that the quality will deteriorate at some point like in the city center. Keep it up, best regards
