The food was good, home-style and the service was very accommodating, attentive and very friendly. Unfortunately, the ambience wasn't that good because people were crammed together and it was extremely loud. If you wanted to have a conversation, the noise level was extreme

I don’t think I’ve had a work trip to Garching that hasn’t involved a trip to the Augustiner. On the latest occasion the place was full of Bayern fans so we ate outside and the waiter let us know as soon as there was space inside. The variety of food is great and always some tasty veggie options. The service is very Bavarian - straight forward and efficient. Don’t expect pleasantries or small talk as there’s no time for that. But you’ll get your food fairly quickly and beer on tap!

Service is mediocre, you have to go to the checkout to pay. Cheese patties with rock-hard ready-fried onions, a ready-made product from the supermarket tastes better. The price level is then slightly higher. Never again!

We were there on a Sunday evening and sat in the entrance area despite having reserved a table. Okay, it was after an FCB game. But it wasn't a problem - we were treated very well and looked after very well. The food was really good and so were the drinks. The dessert - the nougat dumplings - mega! If Garching - then Augustiner!! We'd love to come back. Now a year has passed and we came back. Two evenings in a row. And what can I say - nothing has changed!!! The food was great, the staff was great and the location was Bavarian. See you next time!!

Usually a top place. However, today we had disastrous serving staff! The lady took our food order and then came back after what felt like an eternity and asked us if we wanted the bill. We then asked when our food would come? She took out the order pad on which our order was even written down and went into the kitchen with it. She came back and announced: sorry, the kitchen is closed! I've never experienced anything like that!

Original pub. Sensational beer, fresh from the barrel. Top dishes, with a slight point deduction because the 1/2 duck was tasty, but very dry. But it could also have been because we were late. The starter was sensational. But everything is at a tavern level. By the way: just a snack for 11:50€.

Great restaurant! Service tried very hard to allocate us a table even though we didn't have a reservation. Food was traditional and very good! Portions are large and sufficient. Absolute recommendation.

A great traditional Munich pub! We sat in the rustic atmosphere: fast, attentive service; lots of locals; later in the evening music (maybe because of the Oktoberfest) and perhaps the best Kaiserschmarrn of my life...it was perfect all around!

It‘s a place „ok“ to go for breakfast. Not 5 star. Those are places in my opinion where you have to go if you are in the neighborhood. Here you get ok breakfast. Cappuccinos are not really barista style, had pancakes, also good, but no special wow experience. This is, what I‘d say 4-star…

I come here often for business and private purposes. Never had a bad experience, consistently good quality, great service. Nobody looks stupid and I've never waited long. During the Oktoberfest the place was really full and we still managed to get a seat at the bar. Is my absolute favorite Augustiner. I'm already afraid that the quality will deteriorate at some point like in the city center. Keep it up, best regards

We have enjoyed coming here again and again since it was founded. Simply great. Beer excellent, food always top, from the snack to the more detailed main course. Highlighted now in the season are the cream chanterelles!

I've been coming here for years when I visit Garching. This is the best German restaurant in town! Go for the pork knuckle, but ask for potato salad instead of the other potato ball thing. I never like those things

Admittedly, committing the stupidity of ordering a small beer without asking about the price as a couple after spending 70 euros is rarely stupid... If the last 0.25 liters cost €4.30 (60ct less than a pint) you pay it without any problem including a tip, but then the self-critical and smug saying "at least we'll now get a schnapps on the house for our stupidity" is just a complete one an emotionless "no, I warned you" comes and the waiter leaves without comment without any further opportunity to interact... then in my world that shows greed and a completely wrong understanding of "hospitality"! No matter how good the service was before, what remains is this basic attitude. Gladly again, but definitely not there 😢

Rarely have we eaten so well. Everything really without any complaints. Very happy again. The beer from the barrel is highly recommended. The food is also rich, fresh - really a treat for the palate.

A really cozy Augustinian "Brewery Restaurant" with typical Bavarian dishes. The beer tastes great, the food is tasty, the service is friendly and the service is super fast. Although this is a smaller restaurant than the Augustiner Keller(s) in Munich, the place was packed and the atmosphere was really good: just as it should be in a Bräuhaus.

Been here for the umpteenth time, even though we live 300 km away.....when we are in the region, reservations are made here and as always it was great from A to Z....Thank you for that👍🏻

Great food with great service. The service at reception was very nice and courteous and was never intrusive and always helpful during the visit. The food was super tasty and without any faults. All in all a top restaurant, can only be recommended.

Very nice, clean restaurant in Bavarian style. Very courteous staff. The dishes are always recommended. Unfortunately there was NO GOULASH on the menu last time. It was always very tasty... But the cream mushrooms were also very good. The Kaiserschmarrn is always good!

Great restaurant in the heart of Garching, right by the subway. Very tasty food, good drinks and friendly service round off a great visit.

Super Abend in meinem Lieblingsrestaurant, Qualität wie immer top, sehr gutes Essen und bestes Bier. Service sehr aufmerksam und auch an Koversation mit den Gästen interessiert. Auch unsere Verspätung war kein Problem, obwohl es dort meistens sehr gut besucht ist und eine Reservierung zur Sicherheit immer besser ist. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder :)

So many flies at the restaurant! It is truly disgusting and the food is bad. Very dry pork, served with hair of human. Please avoid this place if you don’t want to get sick

The atmosphere and the cozy place, although at night there is a bit of light missing. The attentive waiters. Despite this, we did not like the food for its price, between €15 and €25 a plate. At the end we did not leave a tip due to the quality of the dishes and the late service of the menus in English. The waiter insisted on leaving us a tip, he got angry and threw the receipt at us rudely. Not recommended at all.

The food was very tasty, freshly prepared and yet delivered quickly to the table. Unsurprisingly, there is Augustiner beer on tap and there is something for everyone when it comes to drinks. The waitresses are extremely friendly and accommodating. The location right on the main street and near the subway is very practical on the one hand, but a bit annoying in the well-kept beer garden. But that's complaining at a very high level, we would come back at any time.

Absolutely recommended. We were looking for a good meal late in the evening (9:30 p.m.) and came across the great restaurant with a beer garden. We were immediately shown to a table of our choice, the menu was ready a short time later and the drinks were on the table to toast not even 5 minutes later. The food was chosen quickly and was on the table just as quickly. All dishes were delicious and deserve 5 stars. It wasn't the last time we ate here. Service war leider sehr unfreundlich! So was habe ich noch nicht erlebt! Viele Tische frei und trotzdem ziert sich der Kellner uns zu 5 einen Tisch zu geben! Dieser "nette" Herr benahm sich dann das ganze Essen hindurch unmöglich und verlangte dann dreist auch noch zum Schluss ein Trinkgeld! Ich bin auch aus der Gastronomie, aber so etwas ist ein Beispiel für einen unangenehmen und unfreundlichen Service! Essen war gut!!

The food was great, unfortunately you currently have a bad fly problem there. Relaxed eating with 20 large flies at the table was simply not possible. I've never experienced anything like that! Where do they come from? From the trash?
