⭐ 5 Stars – Highly recommended! We decided to snag a table on a whim and were incredibly lucky to find one that had just become available – which made for a truly perfect evening. The service was exceptionally attentive, friendly, and professional. The food was outstanding, on a level usually found only in much more expensive restaurants. The value for money is truly excellent for this upscale cuisine – almost a bargain considering the quality. A huge compliment to the entire team! We will definitely be back.

For me, this is a completely overrated restaurant, which surely receives such high ratings due to its rural location and, once again, its patrons' apparent lack of understanding. We ate there three times, and neither the food nor the ridiculously overpriced wine was a culinary explosion. Not to mention the service, which was anything but charming. The concept might work well in Wertingen, but in Augsburg or Munich, this place would have been shut down long ago. But as long as the local celebrity can still park their Porsche right outside, this restaurant will probably continue to exist, even with its declining quality.

A very pleasant atmosphere where you have enough privacy and can easily converse. The wines are very good value for money; this place could be a great example for other restaurants. The food is very good, although there's still room for improvement in this category.

As an event DJ, I was privileged to provide musical accompaniment for a milestone birthday with around 60 guests at the Gänsweid restaurant in Wertingen, and I was captivated by the overall experience. The culinary concept was impressive across the board: A diverse selection of appetizers was served in small glasses to welcome guests – varied, finely balanced, and lovingly presented. Afterwards, guests could choose from three different main courses, which were served repeatedly in small portions. This gave everyone the opportunity to sample all the variations and enjoy them for as long and as often as they wanted – an extremely successful concept. The event concluded with a dessert buffet by the glass with numerous variations, which, like the main courses, was of the highest quality, not only visually but also in terms of taste. The stylish ambience, the attentive service, and the culinary sophistication underscore why the Gänsweid rightfully received a recommendation in the Michelin Guide. I was also particularly impressed by the extensive and exquisite wine selection, which can not only be enjoyed but also purchased for personal use. My absolute recommendation when it comes to culinary delights.

An impressive restaurant. What's so impressive? The architecture (a former car dealership converted into a restaurant), the service (professional, unobtrusively attentive, explaining each course), the wine selection and recommendations (thanks to extensive knowledge), the chef and his team (they truly understand their craft and elevate their dishes through their preparation). A huge compliment to everyone. We had the chef's menu, and every single course was delicious. It was a wonderful evening where everything was perfect. We'll definitely be back.

A great restaurant with a great ambience and outstanding dishes. We have been there several times now, most recently today on April 23rd, 2025. This restaurant deserves a high award with this cuisine! Simply top and definitely an experience in the world of gastronomy. We keep coming back.

Highly recommended! Authentic local cuisine, but markedly elevated. Excellent value for money. Each dish is generous but refined. Located in an area where good chef-run kitchens are hard to find, this is a real gem!

We came on Monday evening with a group of 8. There was something on the menu for everyone. Great selection of wines. Very friendly and courteous service. And the food was really great, cooked seasonally with a lot of love. We'd love to come back.

Once and never again. Unfortunately the food was nothing at all. Unfortunately, the taste was completely forgotten. Spices too. The service was friendly. But unfortunately that's not enough for a restaurant. Unfortunately, it was a culinary failure. Too bad.

Das Beste ist das Essen - auch wenn die Auswahl unterdurchschnittlich ist, so ist die Qualität überdurchschnittlich gut - das Ambiente ist außen besser als innen.

Wunderschönes Restaurant, mit hervorragendem Essen, auch für den verwöhnte Gaumen.

Wir waren spontan zum Mittag da und haben auch einen Tisch für 4 bekommen. Die Auswahl der Hauptspeisen begrenzt sich dabei auf lediglich 4 Gerichte. Es gab kein vegetarisches Gericht. Preis-Leistung ist gut und die Bedienung war wirklich sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Gastraum und die Toiletten war schön eingerichtet und sauber.

Hervorragendes Ambiente mit klasse Essen, auch wenn die Auswahl relativ klein ist. Deshalb ist die Weinkarte vermutlich umso größer .

Wir waren im Sommer 2022 während einer mehrtägigen Fahrradtour auf dem DonauTäler Radweg im Gänsweid und haben dort sehr lecker gegessen! Die Qualität war super und das Ambiente sehr schön. Auch für Vegetarier gibt es eine tolle Auswahl. Wir kommen gerne mal wieder vorbei!

Herausragende Küche und aufmerksamer Service

Innen schönes Ambiente, außen sitzt man mit Blick auf die Straße. Die Speisen sind gut, etwas hochpreisig. Die junge Servicemitarbeiterin war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, restliches Personal eher reserviert und kühl. Die Waschräume sind leider nicht barrierefrei zu erreichen, liegen im 1. Obergeschoss.

Wir hatten ein super gutes 4 Gänge Menü. Mein Mann dazu die Weinbegleitung, es war beides sehr gut und auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen. Auch die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
