Gambrinus in Bielefeld

The owners are incredibly friendly, and the service is excellent. I always enjoy coming here!

It was a nice pub, with just the right beer and the tastiest fruit brandy for miles around—we all hope the reopening will be a complete success.

I just asked the landlord if he could call an animal taxi because a pigeon (which clearly had a broken or at least an injured right wing) was seeking shelter under one of his benches. In Bielefeld there is a taxi driver who does this for the animal clinic in Bielefeld. It wouldn't have cost him anything. Instead he just waved me off and said, oh, it just wants to sleep, and turned around and went back inside. I asked him... oh, and if a person is lying in front of him and needs help, he lets them lie there, saying, they just want to sleep too... I think it's terrible how things are these days, everything is ignored and everyone only thinks about themselves. Sad 😢!!!

Thanks for the lovely weekend. Unfortunately, our SV Elversberg lost. But thanks to the manager and the friendly guests at the restaurant, this was quickly forgotten.

The burger meal was a complete disappointment. The bread was crumbly and dry, and the meat wasn't cooked properly. The burger tasted more like a frozen burger from a discount store. Overall, I'm very disappointed and shocked that they charge €18.90 for a burger and fries – and that's without a drink. Even small burger joints in Bielefeld fare significantly better. Although the restaurant is very centrally located and looks good, the food leaves much to be desired.
