Looks good on the outside, but it's a mess inside… A truly beautiful restaurant with a tasteful and lovely interior. But that's where the positives end… let's start with the service: Upon arrival and departure, you're greeted or bid farewell by staff with a forced friendliness at the entrance. But that's where the friendliness ends… despite the tables not being full, the service was completely inattentive. We had to call for service several times. When we asked if we could order more, we were met with passive-aggressive sarcasm. As for the food: The burgers are recommended. But that's about it… The taglerini, supposedly homemade with strips of beef tenderloin, tasted terrible and of poor quality, and is not recommended for the high price. The same goes for the schnitzel and spaghetti with prawns. I could list other dishes where the value for money is simply not there… very disappointing… It even starts with the bread and dip served – extremely poor quality. The dip is too acidic and doesn't taste homemade. The bread seems to have been bought in bulk from a discount store, as it tastes rubbery. Thanks for the extremely disappointing evening; we definitely won't be back 😂

The service staff was very disrespectful, unfriendly, and inattentive, and the wait times were far too long. Sorry, it needs to be better. The food? What can you say? The price-performance ratio is off. The food was cold to lukewarm, the pasta with beef strips was very tough, and the veal schnitzel was a bit rough. I thought you couldn't go too wrong with it; it tastes better everywhere else. The bread from a discount store was unacceptable. It's been a long time, but since the place is full, this won't change. We won't be back.

The food was very good (veal cheeks and Kaiserschmarren), but the claim that the Kaiserschmarren is for two people is a bit off. You could easily eat it alone. The only thing that's for two people is the price (€17.90), which is quite steep for the amount. The quality was good, hence four stars overall. If the service had been more attentive, the bill would have been higher, but since no one ever asked me if I'd finished my Coke, I didn't order another one.

We visited Gallodini for the first time and were absolutely thrilled! A fantastic selection of dishes, wonderful presentation, and delicious food. The service was also excellent. The loft-like atmosphere features a grand piano at the entrance. I would have loved to play it! 😄

We were there as a family of four. The service was good and the atmosphere okay, but unfortunately the food was bad – had the chef changed? We had two identical dishes: a burger with cold meat, and pasta with pale strips of beef (apparently boiled instead of fried/grilled). I had a Thai beef salad with strips of beef and half-cooked, cold rice. The food for the four of us was unseasoned and simply bland – a shame, we used to enjoy eating there.

Excellent service and a delicious, high-quality dinner. A successful evening was rounded off with curling.

A wonderful restaurant with a stylish lounge featuring a fireplace – perfect for special occasions as well as more intimate gatherings. The service is exceptionally attentive, warm, and always focused on the guests' comfort. The wine recommendations are outstanding, and you'll never be left with an empty glass. The entire team is incredibly friendly and creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit!

The occasion was a Christmas party (a table reservation had been made). Depending on the number of guests, the venue can be quite noisy, but it is very stylishly furnished in keeping with current trends. Hygiene was impeccable. The service was exceptionally well-organized and very friendly. The food was varied and delicious, although the portions were perhaps a touch too small, depending on one's perspective. Prices were in the upper range for a good restaurant, but you certainly get what you pay for. The drinks menu was well-curated and offered everything you would expect from a good bar. Parking was difficult to find nearby when the restaurant was busy. Gallodini is definitely recommended.

The service was attentive and friendly. The ambiance is, of course, a matter of taste – they clearly put a lot of effort into it, and it was easy to have a good conversation. The food was nothing special, and they should probably stick to Asian dishes. The Thai beef was as if the chef had heard a story about it from someone, or had only ever read about Yam Nuea or Laab Nam Tok. The salad with beef was okay.

We celebrated my father's birthday there. Everything was as planned and even better. It was child-friendly, and the guests' special requests were catered to. Everyone felt very comfortable.

The owner is very accommodating and empathetic. We received a very warm welcome as a wedding group, and our needs were catered for from the very beginning. The service was attentive, friendly, and always there to help. We lacked nothing. The restaurant itself has a fireplace room with a sofa, dining table, fireplace, and very cozy furnishings. There are also smaller tables where you can sit with children and family. Highly recommended.

The price-performance ratio is off the charts. We had the appetizer platter and the pinsa. Neither the dough nor the appetizers were homemade; unfortunately, they were bulk-bought from supermarkets. €80 for appetizers and a pinsa with two drinks is simply too much! I wouldn't recommend it.

Really bad for the price. The meat is dry, the service is terrible—long waits, and the food isn't served together. Prices are way too high for such a disaster. The atmosphere and live music don't make it any better. Sorry, but simply not recommended. Better stay away.

We went to a BBQ event – and it was disappointing for us. For us, BBQ means charcoal grilling – great branding, juicy meat, and a good flavor. Here, the food was grilled on a gas grill – the products were heated, but without branding; everything tasted the same, and the rump steak had no fat, but instead had tendon and silver skin. For the price, I expect more quality and, above all, flavor. The service was nice, but seemed overwhelmed at times – no one asked if I could have another drink or why the plate was being returned half-full. A great location in itself, with potential for more.

Unfortunately, after today's visit, I can't give it a good rating. The service staff was completely overwhelmed, and after waiting 1.5 hours for our main course, we decided to leave without eating. Very annoying; we felt like we weren't being noticed in the beer garden, and other guests were being given preferential treatment.

The location itself is really beautiful. The beer garden with its shady seating is also top-notch. However, we were very disappointed with the quality of the food. We had a burger dish that was lukewarm and undercooked, and a fillet steak, which isn't exactly what you'd expect from a piece of meat laced with tendons. It's a shame, really, but I unfortunately had to find out. It also didn't seem like anyone cared whether the food tasted good or whether something wasn't quite right. So, there's definitely room for improvement.

The dish was plentiful and flavorful. The asparagus was a bit woody in places, but overall it was still acceptable. Overall, the food was good, though there were no particular highlights. The restaurant's prices are on the high side, which, in my opinion, doesn't quite match the quality offered. However, the service deserves special mention: very attentive and friendly, which made the visit pleasant. The ambiance—we sat outside—was pleasant and highly recommended.

Visited last week without a reservation. Parking available, nice beer garden, not very busy. Service friendly. Since it's asparagus season, we ordered asparagus. Wiener schnitzel with Pankow breading. Unfortunately, we realized this too late; we would have preferred it without the breading. Otherwise, it was good, but it could have been warmer, but we pointed that out, and the waitress was willing to pass it on.

We went to Gallodini for Easter brunch today and it was just great. The selection of dishes was very balanced. From anitpasti to breakfast to delicious lamb and asparagus dishes and a great selection of desserts, everything was there and tasted delicious throughout. The service was very courteous and you were given good advice about the wines and the cocktails also tasted delicious. It was reasonably priced and completely fine. We would love to come back to eat like this and hope that there will be an Easter brunch again next year.

If there are guests sitting at the neighboring table who are a little louder, normal conversation is no longer possible. > The service was very friendly and attentive. What I didn't like so much: >The food! I had veal schnitzel in panko breading with fries and a side salad. The food came very quickly, which is not always a good sign. The side salad was very good, but the fries 08/15 were ok. The veal schnitzel was a product like the ones you get fried at the fast food shop around the corner. I then asked for mayonnaise and was given 2 sachets, one of which I used. Unfortunately, I only received the invoice to check after the payment process and discovered that I had been charged 2 x mayo at €0.70 each. So I ask myself, does that have to be the case? Either way, the nice atmosphere ultimately doesn't come out, which is a shame.

Obwohl das Restaurant ausgebucht war, haben wir sofort einen netten Tisch bekommen und konnten den Abend genießen. Das Menü war wunderbar und es gab auch immer eine vegetarische Alternative. Das Team versuchte auch bei den anderen Gästen alle Wünsche zu erfüllen: eigentlich gab es an dem Abend nur das Menü, manche Gäste wollten aber doch von der Karte bestellen und auch das wurde möglich gemacht…

We ate there as a family, with friends in groups or just as a couple. We love the more upscale feel and comfortable indoor seating. We think the Gallodini enriches the Bahnstadt immensely. The food is very good and is prepared fresh, hot and contemporary. I like to go there when I have friends from other places visiting because you can't go wrong there. You're welcome to keep it up! A small note, the light could be nicer in the toilet - it could be a little more stylish if you want and in summer I could imagine more comfortable seating or small lounge areas that you can reserve specifically, like indoors. Otherwise, big praise to the service, kitchen/chef and everyone who makes the Gallodini what I like so much. Please stay in Bahnstadt :)

The prices are really a disgrace!

Were there with friends. Starter according to the platter was quite good. Main course veal medallion gratinated with mozzarella. Dry meat, the cheese had certainly been on the meat for ages. Gratin good, broccoli cold, unseasoned and hard. Overall, rather disgusting. The service, on the other hand, was excellent!!!!

The restaurant is located in the old offices of the former Deutsche Bahn repair shop in Opladen. It tasted very good, although we suspected that they had sold us beef ragout as organic venison ragout.

Schönes Silvestermenü, gute Stimmung. Leider waren die Kellner etwas überfordert und vergaßen Bestellungen. Wünsche zur Reservierung wurden - trotz vorheriger Zusage auch nicht berücksichtigt. Uns wurde zwar dann gesagt, dass es nicht möglich war, aber es gab durchaus Tische, die anderen Gästen zugesagt worden sind, dann aber frei blieben, weil diese nicht erschienen.

We have been there several times and have always been very satisfied. We were looking forward to a cozy Christmas dinner, but this time we were really disappointed. There was no feeling of being comfortable. The food was just thrown out, only asked once for more drinks and the cards were placed on the table for dessert, but no order was asked. We then decided to pay. So our Christmas dinner was finished after just an hour with seven people, starter and main course. Very unfortunate. We didn't know this from our previous visits... One thing I would like to mention is that there was only one vegetarian dish, but if you're not a fan of Gorgonzola, it'll be hard to find something suitable. Perhaps more flexibility would also be possible with a single volume Christmas card.

Everyone had fun and the atmosphere was just great. The food was just as impressive: from starters to dessert, everything was excellently prepared and presented with a lot of love. We were greeted at the entrance with the comment “But sushi is out today!”. Well, we didn't plan on eating sushi there anyway. My “portion” of pasta with prawns was unspectacular and an absolute joke in terms of quantity! Demanding 20 euros for it is a disgrace, and this is not (!) a star restaurant. No, we won't come back here. Apparently there are enough people who fall for this “snob effect” (i.e. pretending to have high-level gastronomy in a nice location by using small quantities), and the scarcity of restaurants in Opladen probably plays into the operator's hands. We found it intrusive that we asked too frequently whether we would like to order more drinks. Here too there is a lack of sensitivity. We are also not convinced by the cross-over concept. It's better to focus on one thing and do it well.

On Saturday I went to the restaurant with my family and it was great! The curling was perfectly organized and a lot of fun. Our waiter outside was incredibly friendly, attentive and rounded off the ambience wonderfully with the atmospheric music. Thank you for the great day – we’ll be happy to come back!

Leider muss ich mich den miserablen Bewertungen anschließen. Ich war mit Freunden das erste Mal dort. Völlig überzogene Preise für minderwertiges Essen. Auch die Portionen Größe lässt zu wünschen übrig. Schade. Hatte mehr erwartet. Ich werde nicht mehr hingehen und auch nicht weiter empfehlen.

A truly beautiful restaurant, great service and excellent food and drinks. The food was not only a visual delight but also tasteful. Regardless of whether my starter was a rock octopus, the main course was a delicious salad with beef or the veal fillet, as well as the dessert were a real culinary experience. I definitely can't understand the bad reviews and I'm glad I took my own picture. For the prices it was excellent food and a wonderful ambience. The bar also leaves nothing to be desired and the service deserves praise again for its very good work. We would be happy to come back at any time.

Gestern waren wir wieder mal zu zweit zum Abendessen im Gallodini. Eine durchwegs positive Erfahrung. Direkt vor dem Haus Parkplätze. Service war aufmerksam und sehr kompetent. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen ziemlich gross. Ambiente wunderschön und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Food quality was really bad and the prices were really expensive for such quality. - Crunchy Black Tiger Roll: the algae smelled really bad. - Taglierini Neri con scampi: no flavor at all. Tasted like nothing. - Taglierini Manzo: it was salty. - The mojito was great. - It took a lot of time to get our meals.

The ambience was very nice and the service was ok. We were served in a friendly manner and the food came very quickly and was beautifully prepared. However, we quickly realized why it was so fast. You could tell that the mashed potatoes came from the industry, as did the probably frozen fish and the tasteless schnitzel... it was very disappointing for the prices.. If you just want something to drink, it's certainly very nice, but I personally wouldn't recommend it for eating.

We sat in the beer garden. Four drinks in four hours. Do I have to be honest? The restaurant could have earned a lot more from us. The amount of food was partly manageable, but quite okay. Conclusion: No, it doesn't have to happen again.

I was at the Gallodini for Mexican Night ( noche mexicana ) and deliberately waited a bit before my review. At first I was so upset and disappointed and it all had to sink in. Even after a few days apart, I can't describe what I experienced more beautifully. For an invoice amount of around 350 EUR you have to work hard and then you can expect at least a lot. There were five of us and we had a nice table on the terrace. After a bottle of water the misery began. The Magaritas we ordered took 40 minutes to reach our table (according to the waiter, the guests actually all ordered at the same time... :-()). The cold appetizer, which has nothing to do with Mexican tacos, was already there by then Eaten. Tacos include flavor, cumin, coriander, etc. We were served a tortilla with minced meat that was bought in the supermarket. Taste = 0. Who cooks this stuff as a burrito? just the prices. Every private person gets it better than the kitchen at Gallodini. The mariachis actually played for about 40 minutes at the NOCHE Mexicana means night in Spanish and usually lasts a few hours However, Gallodini only take 40 minutes! Our complaint about the quality of the food was passed on to the boss. Now there are two options. 1) That's true, but the boss doesn't care! (he was sitting relaxed at the table behind us or 2) The complaint was not passed on. Neither speaks for the Gallodini. The location is so beautiful, both inside and the beer garden. It's a shame that more isn't being done with these circumstances. When I read here in the recessions that some people didn't even have to pay for food, it makes me even more annoyed that I paid so much money.
