My girlfriend and I often come here to watch football, and we're always thrilled with the service! The older gentleman in particular was extremely attentive and friendly. We feel very comfortable here!

A fantastic pub! It was our first time there and we were immediately given a very warm welcome. The Würzburg Pilsner in a stein mug was delicious, as was the food. The schnitzels were cooked to perfection, well-seasoned, and the sauce selection was unique. Great! We've almost completely fallen in love with the pub and the people and will definitely be back, including taking advantage of the hotel's special offer.

Stopped in to get food while on a Weekend break in Cologne. Owner was incredibly friendly and explained that the kitchen wasnt open yet but bought us out bread and dips which were lovely. He gave us recommendations on food which was brilliant and reasonably priced when kitchen opened and chatted with us at every opportunity. Great host and good location looking out on the river. My partner and I both loved it! Thanks

How can a waitress be so unfriendly? The gentleman is called Ze... and is a complete disaster. That's not how you treat guests. What a shame.

We were there for the first time today... Very pleasant atmosphere, good food (we treated ourselves to something from the Oktoberfest menu)... There was nothing to complain about, only the delicious Keiler Weizen beer could have been a bit cooler for my personal taste. But that didn't detract from the evening at all, hence the full 5 stars.

Dined with 16 people, 16 times satisfied. Delicious food and drinks. Great staff. Despite the FC Bayern Munich game and the terrace being full, there was little wait time. Parking is a bit of a struggle. We'd be happy to come back.

Why??? Why does a Cologne restaurant with traditional cuisine make Spanish tapas??? We don't understand, we're so desperate? We ordered the original tapas mix and what can I say, it was all awful! We've never eaten such bad tapas!!! The olives and jamon in particular were from the supermarket and of the worst quality! The albondigas were simply dry meatballs that hadn't seen any sauce or had any flavor. The worst thing they did was to the prawns, fried with leek/spring onions, and they just tasted disgusting! Who on earth makes prawns with onions???? They should end the tapas experiment and go back to making good traditional cuisine or maybe create some Cologne tapas! Plus, this small selection of tapas cost €26.90🙈😮‍💨

Delicious food in a rustic, cozy restaurant, the real fireplace with the cozy warmth also made its contribution.

We just had dinner there. Went there on a recommendation. The food was terribly bad. I wanted to eat the trout from the smoker, it was on the daily menu, but it wasn't available. I then ordered roast venison with dumplings and pureed vegetables in morello cherry sauce. Was inedible. 1. The meat wasn't from deer, it had absolutely none of the typical gamey taste. 2. It tasted like beef and was tough like an old shoe sole.3. Morello cherries were barely recognizable as such in the sauce, they were completely cooked and mushy. 4. Leek vegetables had also already died and were not freshly prepared, looked like they had been pre-cooked and warmed up for 2 or 3 days, although with leeks it is no problem to prepare them in a hurry. Had 2x Jägerschnitzel. The schnitzels seemed to have been prepared in the deep fryer because there was a puddle of oil on top of each schnitzel. The meat was also inedible and had a boar odor. Mushrooms were from a can with ready-made sauce. We also had a veggie burger that somehow tasted like nothing. The only positive thing was probably the fries. I let the roast venison go back. But the chef wasn't interested. That says it all. We cannot understand the good reviews. Maybe change of ownership We definitely won't be eating there again. It's a shame, as it's quite a nice location on the Rhine with a small beer garden. Unfortunately the €60 was thrown out the window. When we left the restaurant we only saw that the kitchen was opposite the entrance door. If only we had taken a look first. Totally dirty kitchen. A case for the health department. I wouldn't be surprised if there were mice running around there.

Nothing special, but by no means bad either. Certainly a pleasant place to go for the surrounding population. Day trippers can also stop here without any worries for a quick Kölsch in the beer garden or at the bar. The service is friendly and attentive. When it gets a little more crowded, the staff quickly reach their limits. It would be nice if the drinks served were also filled to the mark. At least for us there was unnecessary saving. That doesn't make a good impression. Apologizing for the extremely long waiting time of over an hour is nice, but of course also natural. You could also have served a little nightcap. A kibbeling that fell on the floor while being served was collected and disposed of. Replacement for it - none. The ordered “greetings from the kitchen” was forgotten. As I said, it was a little busier that day, but not crowded either. Since, as we all know, you never get a second chance to make a first impression, that was our last visit there for the time being. As a local resident, I would probably see it differently, but as a destination for a cozy dinner on the Rhine, it's not for us. As a note for sensitive people: once a week there is probably some kind of smoking club and you can smell it in the restaurant, not just the following day, but obviously continuously until the weekend. However, this is only to be understood as an indication and does not change the rating.

We were here in the summer and sat outside. Today we were inside for the first time. God, it's beautifully and comfortably furnished! Fireplace, delicious food and very nice service! We'll be back!

I ordered goose and mini knuckles there, the goose was a large portion, but the skin was limp, as if it had been warmed up, for €26.90 I really would have hoped for more. The red cabbage and dumplings were okay, but I suspect that the red cabbage came from a jar and the dumplings were also ready-made dumplings. The sauce for the goose was far too little, and when I ordered some more, I received a mini-small amount. The two knuckles were really a total disappointment, they were definitely not freshly prepared, but warmed up. The puree was good. As compensation we were kindly given a cup of coffee. I've been there before and had a pork roast and the sauce was more like a big roux. The vegetarian burger that the chef recommended for our vegetarian guests was good. All in all, the food was really disappointing, the service was okay and the ambience is very, very nice there.

Today we experienced a special kind of neighborly help. Unfortunately we had to cancel the table we had ordered due to illness. Shortly afterwards, Kalle contacted me to ask if he could provide us with something to eat and recover. Asked, done. As always, it was delicious! Thanks so much!

Very cozy pub. Always delicious Gaffel Kölsch on tap. There is a small hall in the back. When football is on you can also watch FC Cologne here. The waitresses are all friendly and attentive. Here you don't have to wait long for your next drink. You can also eat here, but I haven't tried it yet. Next time.

Zum ersten Mal im Lokal sehr begeistert von der Einrichtung. Auch vom Personal sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis total super Küche Deutsch sehr viel mit Fisch sehr zu empfehlen.

Habe auf unserer Radtour hier abgehalten um Ein parr leckere Kölsch zu trinken und es zu essen. Unsere Erwartungen an leckeres Kölsch und ein sehr leckeres Schnitzel wurden erfüllt. Wir saßen im gemütlichen Saal. Dieser wurde mit einem Kaminofen beheizt und hätte wir nicht weiter gemusst, hätten wir den ganzen Abend dort verbracht.

Great cuisine, great staff. A lovingly run shop with a lot of Cologne charm. I celebrated my wedding here, which I can absolutely recommend. Absolute recommendation for drinking a Kölsch, eating out and also for your own celebrations!

After a somewhat longer bike tour, we took a break here in the Gaffel in Linkewitz. A very pleasant and well-kept beer garden and very quickly we were served very well-tempered Kölsch and shots at our table. And when I asked the waiter if I could charge the battery of my e-bike while we were sitting here, "We misjudged the length of the tour a bit," it wasn't a problem at all and I would like to take part in it Thank you again very much for this, because an e-bike without battery power to Rodenkirchen would probably have been a real challenge.

Sorry, but the worst steak I've ever eaten! It looked like a dream of a steak, it wasn't even lukewarm, it was over medium even though I specifically ordered it medium and the beef was far from tender, but the worst thing was that the meat simply didn't taste like anything completely neutral, without any taste of its own, simply completely tasteless. My son had the Hot Tuna Burger, which was just a can of tuna between two halves of a bun. Awful! I will never eat anything there again! It's a shame, because the store itself is actually quite good and the people are really great and nice. I can highly recommend it for 1, 2 or 3 delicious Kölsch, but definitely not as a restaurant for eating out. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Very nice atmosphere, good food, delicious Kölsch and generally a great beer garden. Unfortunately, I can only recommend it to a limited extent for watching football; despite many requests from the audience, the television was not turned up loud during the DFB Cup final. A pity!

The restaurant is well located There were two tables occupied, with grandchildren who are 6 and 4 years old. Waiting for drinks is hard, and with the drinks we also ordered the food, which came after 60 minutes. The staff that day, their right hand didn't know what their left hand was doing. The food was!!!! Not that we actually ordered, so we had to wait again. I also didn't know that if you order a Wiener schnitzel with pepper sauce you have to pay extra. The 6 of us will never appear again. There are plenty of others

The two of us were there yesterday and actually wanted to eat something delicious. We got a pork loin steak that squeaked when cut, with a child's hand full of fries, and a completely cooked pepper cream schnitzel. We paid 55.00 euros for 6 Kölsch. You don't need a second time. The quality of the food was as if the chef had celebrated Father's Day and the plumber who happened to be there had cooked.

Food was good, friendly service and very attentive. Whether you're passing through by bike or just stopping by for a Kölsch.

Nice old ambience, like a small corner pub that is sorely missed today....will try the food next time. I can't rate the Kölsch because I don't like gaffe.

Two hundred year old, rustic restaurant, with food like your mother's. Interesting smoker in the beer garden (with a view of the Rhine). Changing events and daily menu. "Living room of the Cologne tourism site*Kölschgänger*, opposite the location is a great playground with a pirate ship, but parking is difficult at Niehler Damm.

Cozy, rustic location. We particularly liked the roaring fireplace. We liked the food (or my partner really liked it) and the service was friendly. The only drawback: the toilet seat in the women's toilet, which was ice cold due to the weather. Maybe ventilate a little less thoroughly in winter?

Urige "Kneipe" klassich erhalten gemütlich und mit viel Liebe gepflegt. Leckere Speisen je nach Jahreszeit oder bei kleinen Veranstaltungen Motto angepasst. Das Personal von der Küche über die Theke bis zur Bedienung im "Mini-Gürzenich" also im kleinen "Sãlchen" freundlich aufmersame Bedienungen.

Rustikales Brauhausambiente mit kölschem Charme, sehr leckerem Essen, garniert mit einem herzlichen, typisch-rheinischen Service. Ich war bereits mehrmals mit Freunden dort und war jedesmal begeistert. Urig-gemütlich lassen sich hier gute Stunden verbringen.

Heerlijk gegeten. De gastheer en -vrouw waren ontzettend vriendelijk en gaven ons nog tips voor ons verblijf in Keulen. Schnitzels waren waanzinnig groot en lekker!

Typisch kölsche Kneipe am Niehler Damm mit Flair. Man fühlt sich direkt wieder zu Hause. Lecker Kölsch, kölsches Publikum, nette Einrichtung, auch draußen. Gegessen habe ich dort einen Hirtensalat mit einem leckeren Dressing. Der Hirtenkäse war noch warm! Lecker! Kölsche Speisen habe ich dort noch nicht probiert. Sehr netter Service!

Nebst dem leckeren Knusperschnitzel einen superleckeren Nachtisch gegessen: Spekulatiuseis auf Lebkuchen mit Sahne/Amaretto....LECKER!!

Heute mit dem Rad vor Ort gewesen. Wirklich sehr gemütlich aber leider einen kleine Preisschock beim Bezahlen bekommen. Wir haben eine große Pommes bestellt (kleinere Speisenauswahl durch eine Feier vor Ort daher "nur" eine Pommes gegessen) und die kostete anscheinend zweimal den Preis der "normale Pommes" laut Karte 3,50 Euro x 2 also für die Pommes 7 Euro plus doppelt Majo 1 Euro also Fritten für 8 Euro???? O.k. wenn es denn dann wenigstens eine große Portion Pommes gewesen wäre hätten wir auch bestimmt nicht nochmal nachgefragt ob man sich verrechnet hat. Aber das würde verneint. Somit haben wir für zwei große Pommes mit doppelt Majo pro Portion 8 Euro bezahlt und dann noch zwei Bier (0,5l) dazu lagen wir bei 24,80 Euro...das ist viel viel zu teuer für Pommes und rechtfertigt auch in der Inflation diesen Preis auf keinen Fall. Und nochmal muss ich betonen, die Pommes war eine normale Beilagenportion die einem Wert von 3-4 Euro entsprochen hätte...von doppelt oder groß war hier nix zu sehen. Wenn ich den Preis vorher gewusst hätte, hätte ich die Portion auch mal fotografiert aber das kann man ja nicht ahnen. Wir haben es bei dem Nachbartisch sehen können und ich habe das Pärchen anschließend dort auch nochmal angesprochen gefragt ob die eine normale Pommes hatten und ja das war der Fall. Gleiche Frittenportionsgröße aber doppelt bezahlt...nein...dann kommen wir leider nicht wieder und empfehlen können wir es dadurch auch nicht mehr.

Ich habe hier letzte Woche meinen Ausstand gefeiert und war sehr zufrieden mit Ambiente, Buffet und Bedienung.

Sind spontan da eingekehrt. Es war echt top. Leckeres Essen und gutes Kölsch. Der Service war wirklich aufmerksam und absolut freundlich. Wenn ich noch mal in der Nähe bin gehe ich da auf jeden Fall wieder hin.

Ein Ort mit einer Küche, einem Service und überhaupt: Menschen zum Wohlfühlen.

Das Essen, der Service und das Ambiente ist toll. Das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Ein toller Platz um auch zu genießen und zum Entspannen.

Selbst ein Stern ist hier leider zu viel. Scheinbar werden hier nur Stammgäste auf der Bierterasse bedient. Nachdem die Bedienung uns 15 Minuten lang gekonnt ignoriert hatte, gingen wir. Nachtrag: selbst die Gäste, die nach uns kamen wurden bedient. Nur wir nicht.

Sehr schönes Lokal! Alles passt. Auch die Veranstaltungen sind einfach super.

Habe hier mit der Familie meinen 75igsten Geburtstag gefeiert. Ich hatte das Lokal im Internet gefunden und auf Grund der Lage und der Speisekarte ausgesucht. Später musste ich dann erfahren, dass die Webseite jahrelang nicht gepflegt wurde. Das ist auch der Grund warum es nur 4 Sterne gibt. Die Seite soll jetzt aber überarbeitet werden. Ansonsten waren wir mit unsere Wahl überaus zufrieden. Nun haben wir den 70igsten Geburtstag meiner Gattin hier gefeiert und waren wieder voll zufrieden. Deshalb gebe ich jetzt auch die volle Punktzahl. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Leider wirklich das schlechteste Restaurant was ich seid langem besucht habe. Die Sparribs essen sich wie Steine. Ein Freund hatte den Bürger mit einer Wurst drauf. Da war noch ein Spieß drin den man von außen nicht gesehen hat! Nicht ganz ungefährlich... Das restliche Essen war bestenfalls Durchschnitt.

Lage des Restaurants ist ok,dass Essen ist nichts besonderes.Dauert sehr lange und die Vorspeise kommt zusammen mit der Hauptspeise.Auch für eine Minischale Ketchup ( 1Teelöffel)für die Kinder werden berechnet mit 50 cent.Alacart-Essen mit bestellter Folienkartoffel wird mit Pommes serviert. Insgesamt ist das Restaurant eine Enttäuschung.Auch das Essen ist nichts was in Erinnerung bleibt.Mehr oder weniger wie ein Imbiss.Nur teurer Schade um das Geld.Nie wieder

Super schön direckt am Rhein gelegen echt gemütlich sehr freundliche Bedienung und Inhaber

Abgelaufene Getränke, schlechter Service, keine Gastfreundschaft, verkalkte und unsaubere Gläser. Ambiente ist eigentlich gut, ABER: Vorspeisen bestellt, 2x Kinderschnitzel, 4 Hauptspeisen, Mayo Ketchup kostet extra. 1) das "neu" angepriesene Bier/Limo Getränk von Gaffel - Abgelaufen (siehe Bild) 2) man kennt es aus der Gastronomie, Vorspeisen und Kindergerichte kommen zusammen. Hier im Lokal: Vorspeisen kamen gleichzeitig mit Kindergerichten und Hauptgang. Sprich: - Lange Wartezeit auf die Kindergerichte - Vorspeise kann man nicht genießen, weil die Hauptspeise kalt wird 3) 1 Kinderschnitzel kommt, das 2. Kinderschnitzel wurde erst dann zubereitet als das 1. Kind mit dem Schnitzel angefangen hat (Das gab Neid und Ärger, unnötig...). Ausrede: Fehler im System Wie bitte? Vorher kamen fälschlicherweise Chicken Nuggets, und das soll ein Fehler im System sein? Schwache Ausrede anstatt sich zu entschuldigen. 4) Eigentlich lockeres Personal, aber wenig Gastfreundschaft. Kein Entschuldigung, nach dem Fauxpas mit dem Schnitzel fragten wir für die Kinder nach Ketchup und Mayo, und die Dame sagte: "das kostet aber extra"!!! Am Ende auch keine kleine nette Geste oder sonst etwas für die leider vielen Fehler, nie wieder. Zum Trinken bestimmt ganz nett dort, aber nur bei Sachen, die nicht abgelaufen sind ;) Fazit: Für 115€ Essen&Trinken mit - dreckigen Gläsern - abgelaufenes Bier/Limo Getränk - Abzocke bei Ketchup&Mayo - falsche Bestellungsaufnahme - lange Wartezeit - Vorspeisen und Hauptspeisen werden gemeinsam gebracht (also war es keine Vorspeise und somit kalte Hauptspeise) - fehlende Gastfreundschaft

Mittelmäßiger Service: Die zwei Mitarbeiter sind mit den Gästen überfordert und lassen diese es mit schlechter Laune wissen. Bei zwei Besuchen warteten wir zu lang, um die Getränkebestellung aufzugeben, auf die Lieferung noch länger. Wir wurden nicht gefragt, ob wir etwas essen möchten. Der Mitarbeiter kannte das eigene Essensangebot nicht. Geliefert wurde ein unvollständiges Essen, der Rest wurde 10 Minuten später nachgeliefert. Pommes waren aus. Die Bediener waren sich uneins, wer abräumt und wer kassiert, daher stellte die eine Bedienung die Teller bei uns wieder auf dem Tisch ab, bis die andere Bedienung kam. Kartenzahlung sollte möglich sein, dann funktionierte auf einmal das Internet nicht mehr. Die Gerichte waren ok, aber dort muss ich nicht noch einmal hin.

Wir sind mehr zufällig hier gelandet und fanden es super. Tolle Atmosphäre, gutes Essen (Pulled Pork Burger) und natürlich Kölsch. Das Personal ist nett, schnell und sehr aufmerksam. Preise auch absolut in Ordnung für heutzutage.👍👍
