Da’s Lupo in Köln

A really nice shop in itself, with only a few minor issues: The service was a bit confusing at first, and the music was rather inappropriate and quite loud.

We celebrated our wedding with around 60 people at Lupo, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food (pizza served as flying butter, followed by a three-course meal) and drinks were (as always) exceptionally good, and it was impressive how perfectly they prepared and served the food. Many thanks to the entire team, who supported us not only on the big day but also throughout the entire preparation process with their creativity, professionalism, and warmth. Thank you for this wonderful day!

The price-performance ratio was okay. The waiter was attentive, but didn't even know the different types of pasta... Beef tartare was supposed to be "classic," but came on a mayonnaise coating.

I was privileged to be my best friend's maid of honor and celebrate her wedding at Lupo. The service was exceptionally good. The food was served hot, properly, and simultaneously for 60 people. A nice place in itself, even if it's a bit more show than substance. We were sitting outside on a Saturday night, drinking a few beers. At midnight, we were asked to leave because they were closing. I couldn't even finish my drink and was told to take my beer with me. I can understand it a bit, but I still thought it was stupid.

Great food and very attentive people.

The two of us went to Da's Lupo today. Delicious food, friendly, quick service, and a lovely atmosphere. One of the best overall packages of the past year. Not exactly cheap, but reasonably priced. We had a wonderful evening and would gladly return. Thank you very much.

Nice restaurant, but too crowded and loud. Service was attentive, but understaffed for the crowd. The food was okay. The menu was a bit limited. The wine list was even more limited.

We were spontaneously introduced to this restaurant by my Pilates instructor – and what can I say: It was an absolute stroke of luck! Despite the full house, a very friendly waiter still managed to find us a table. From the very beginning, we felt completely at home. The service was first-class – attentive, warm, and professional. The food was simply outstanding, prepared with love and beautifully presented. I was particularly impressed by the team: There's a fantastic atmosphere, everyone works hand in hand. As a guest, you immediately sense this harmony and respect within the team – something you unfortunately rarely experience in today's restaurants. Every member of staff is attentive to the well-being of the guests without appearing forced or stressed. An all-round successful evening – we will definitely be back! Thank you for this wonderful experience.

We reserved the restaurant exclusively for our wedding lunch – and it was simply perfect! The location is beautiful and created the ideal atmosphere for our special day. We heard from many of our guests how incredibly delicious the food was – every course was a delight. Even the bread and olive oil were exceptionally delicious! A huge thank you also to the entire team: The staff were not only incredibly warm and attentive on the wedding day itself, but also provided us with great support during the preparations. We highly recommend the restaurant and are simply grateful for this thoroughly successful experience!

Had the ravioli with burrata. It tasted very good. The lemon almond cake was also great. The outside atmosphere was very nice. Service was unfortunately a bit slow.

Four of us dined at Da's Lupo. The menu is straightforward, offering appetizers, pasta, fish, and meat dishes. The menu features typically Italian dishes, some of which are refined and enhanced with special ingredients. Our food was delicious, and the ingredients were of high quality. The portions were generously sized. The wine list offers a moderate selection of Italian wines. We sat outside in the beautiful weather; the atmosphere was very pleasant and convivial. The service was friendly and attentive; they offered us recommendations and wine tastings. On the warm summer evening, all the outdoor seating was full, so I recommend making a reservation. We really enjoyed the evening and will definitely return.

2.5 hours for pasta and tiramisu... Service was completely overwhelmed, two waters and sugar for coffee never arrived. The food was delicious... But the evening was very disappointing!

We were spontaneously in Cologne today and are actually from the Dortmund area. We saw the restaurant spontaneously, and the ambiance immediately seemed very inviting. The service was very courteous and attentive, as well as extremely friendly. The food was a 10/10. We enjoy drinking wine ourselves, but are by no means wine connoisseurs. The friendly lady serving us was able to tell us in detail about each wine – and did so with enthusiasm and confidence. We were very impressed. All in all, a restaurant that we can wholeheartedly recommend. We'll be happy to come back next time we're in Cologne!

It's now my new favorite restaurant! We both really enjoyed the food. For me, everything was seasoned to perfection, and it's very rare that I get goosebumps from the food, because it's so delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and especially approachable when I wanted to order something. The ambiance was very cozy yet elegant. I thought everything was absolutely reasonable in terms of price, considering the taste, and the portions were just right. I was full but not "overstuffed." We would love to come back!

Unfortunately the evening was a bitter disappointment. The staff was completely overwhelmed. All tables had to wait forever for drinks and food. We had an appetizer that came quickly and tasted good too. However, we waited almost 2 hours for the main course. I ordered a rump steak. The rump steak (which in my opinion wasn't a rump steak, but rather hip or fillet) was generously estimated at a maximum of 150 g and that for €37.00! We were there on Friday evening and even got a place for 4 people without a reservation. The prices are decent, but the service is really TOP! I haven't had such attentive and nice waiters in a long time. Thank you for the lovely evening :)

After an hour, we were finally able to order food, despite having a reservation. Another hour later, the appetizer arrived, another hour later, the main course, and so on. The atmosphere in the restaurant was so bad that we had to sit outside. The food was delicious, but unfortunately, the service was subpar.

Unfortunately the trip to the southern part of the city wasn't worth it. Service good. Food rather bad. It's a shame, it's also a little too loud.

We were disappointed with the food, which was on the higher end in terms of price. It simply wasn't balanced in terms of taste, the starter was too rich, the main course was too narrow... The service was very demanding that evening, but still very nice.

We come from Cologne and have wanted to try the restaurant for a long time. The ambience is cozy at first glance, but the smell of fuel paste (? candles?) plus the cigarette smoke from outside really bothered us when we went in, even though we weren't sitting right at the entrance. The waiter could At the beginning they only offered us a drinks menu because the menus were all in circulation, and the restaurant wasn't even 2/3 full. The drinks and the food (we had three starters, a main course and a dessert) were totally fine, but the way the food was served left me speechless. The waitress's hair (long pink hair) was OVER the food as she brought it to the table. This is a NO GO and should definitely be communicated. In principle, there were a lot of waiters there, but you still had to wait a long time and loudly draw attention to yourself in order to order more drinks, and, as I said, the place wasn't even full. We were disappointed.

I've always enjoyed going to Lupo, but yesterday the service was absolutely subpar. Despite a reservation, we had to wait 45 minutes for our table, the food came at 10 o'clock in the evening (1.5 hours after our reservation), the last course after 11. The restaurant looked totally chaotic, empty glasses everywhere and it was over 30 degrees inside. All in all, unfortunately not at all what it used to be and what you would expect for the price. They couldn't even offer us a free aperitif or something similar for these absurdly long waiting times. I'm not coming back anymore

There is no sensible entry regulation at carnival. Number of people in the store not limited, really perceived as a dangerous environment. No thanks. It's no fun like that!

Excellent food, relatively large portions

Unfortunately we were disappointed this evening, Everything in itself tasted good, but with the truffle pasta for 30 euros I only got a large portion of pasta with truffles with very little sauce and for my husband the portion was really too small. All in all the food was good, but for the price you pay you can get much better food in Cologne.

Dear Da's Lupo team, three stars and ambience only one star because the smell of a charcoal grill was so pungent that even today my entire clothes and bag still smell of charcoal. When we asked, we were told that there was a problem with the ventilation. The extremely strong smell of barbecue, fire and wood really affected the evening. And some items of clothing can't just be put in the washing machine... that's really annoying. And when you then hear that the problem is known and the service person confirms that she "can't go anywhere after her service because she smells so strongly of barbecue," then I honestly find that worrying.

Cozy, very good Italian cuisine, the olive oil is a real treat, great wine selection, great for a special evening with culinary delights.

Very good service and delicious food!

We were served by a really nice gentleman and were allowed to taste the mixed starter plate and the venison. Everything to our absolute satisfaction and with a warm recommendation.

I really liked a Roero as an open wine - you rarely see that! The food was very good! A nice selection and perfectly prepared and seasoned. The portions are big! I haven't experienced such great service in a long time ❤️ Was here for my birthday and was immediately warmly welcomed. The dips with the bread as a starter were great - especially the one with mortadella. The pasta was fresh and had lots of seafood. The waiters are all very friendly and have created a comfortable atmosphere. I'd love to come back!

First of all, big compliments to Valeria, who served us. It is very rare to have such nice, courteous and warm service and we really felt completely comfortable and well advised. Food was also wonderful. I can only recommend the truffle pasta to every truffle fan. :-) the prices are absolutely reasonable for the overall package. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience with this restaurant. We got there at 8:15am and had to wait 50 minutes for someone to take our order. We sat outside but as the weather was a bit chilly we asked if we could sit inside. Yes, of course – right in front of the toilet! It's really great to sit in front of the toilet and eat for two hours😖. The menu was not sufficiently informative regarding the ingredients. For example, I ordered beef carpaccio as a starter and it had a raw egg yolk🤢🤢, truffles and parmesan!! That was totally disgusting. How many people like raw egg yolks on their food? Also, there were no shrimp on my beef carpaccio, which you can see in the photos online. The main course was okay, but the dessert was really good, so I give it three stars overall. I will never go there again! Sometimes I don't understand people - why pay so much money for an average menu with the worst service? The photos and menu online may disappoint as I assume the menu is constantly changing.

Overrated in my opinion! The service was friendly, but everything was extremely disorganized. After 30 minutes something to drink finally arrived, and after 90 minutes the pasta finally arrived. Waiters had to keep asking us, as well as the neighboring table, what exactly was ordered. The pasta didn't really impress us, so it was ok, but I would have expected more for Massimo. The burrata was really good, hence the points, everything else was very sobering. I won't go to the Lupo anymore, but I will go to the Massimo in the Südstadt again.

We had a wonderful evening at Da’s Lupo yesterday. As soon as we entered we were warmly welcomed and felt completely at home from the first to the last second. The wine list offers something for every taste, and after sampling a bit, choosing the perfect wine was easy. Our culinary journey began with delicious Kalamata olives and an extraordinary treat: churros with parmesan and truffle mayo (see photo), which we can highly recommend. For the main course we enjoyed a delicious truffle pasta and a wonderful pasta dish with mussels in white wine stock. Both dishes fully met our expectations. The whole thing was rounded off with a perfectly prepared espresso. Thank you, Da’s Lupo, for this magical evening – it felt like a little vacation. We'll definitely be back!

Empfang war herzlich, und der Service hat gute Empfehlungen für den richtigen Wein zum Essen etc. Das Menü war sehr lecker, der Vorspeisenteller sehr kreativ zusammengestellt mit interessanten Kreationen. Sehr lecker war die Vitello Krokette und der Spargel mit Rabarber und Burrata...Es warxein sehr schöner geselliger Abend. Später war es,sehr laut!

Tolles Ambiente, leckeres Essen, nette Bedienung!!

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, schönes und gemütliches Ambiente. Der Service war ausgezeichnet und persönlich. Das Essen von Vorspeisen bis zu den Nachspeisen herausragend gut ! Eine tolle Atmosphäre wobei das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis alles absolut Top abrundete. Ein toller Abend der auf jeden Fall wiederholt wird!

I had a lovely evening here with a friend. We ate the menu with meat for €46, which isn't a bargain but considering the good food, it's a fair price. We particularly enjoyed the dessert, in our case a key lime pie. We first drank a bottle of white wine Blanc de Noir from Setzinger for €25, which I think is a fair price. The wine was very tasty. Afterwards there was a Spanish red wine, which was also delicious and cost €45. Overall, the restaurant left us with a very good impression and we would be happy to come back. The staff was very friendly and knew a lot about the wines

I've wanted to go there for a long time. Unfortunately we couldn't spontaneously sit outside, but the atmosphere inside was also great. We had the fish/meat menu. It was all very tasty and so plentiful for me that we took dessert with us. The service was extremely attentive and very nice. That's why I'm happy to give it 5 stars. I'll be back soon. PS: I think the very small menu is great and means to me that everything is fresh. Something for everyone. And the decision is easier 😉

Fine Dining kombiniert mit alternativen Ambiente, passend zum Viertel der Südstadt. Unglaublich gutes Essen, hervorragende Geschmackskompositionen und einen unfassbar netten Service der seines gleichen sucht. Die reduzierte Karte ist auf den Punkt und die Menüauswahl grandios.

Das Essen und der Service waren sehr gut, aber leider war die Musik so laut, dass man sich nicht normal unterhalten konnte. Ich finde, diese Lautstärke geht in einem Restaurant gar nicht und passt auch nicht zu diesem wirklich sehr guten Essen!

Sicherlich ein netter Laden, aber ich mag andere Läden der ,,Massimo,, Familie mehr! Im Da Lupo ist eine sehr kleine Speisekarte vorhanden, aber dennoch empfinde ich die Leistung der Küche hier nicht so gut wie in den anderen Restaurants. Das Ambiente ist, wie immer Geschmacksache. Alles in Allem ein netter Laden, aber ich bevorzuge die drei anderen Restaurants dieser Familie. Dennoch muss das wirklich nette und fleißige Service Personal gesondert positiv Erwähnen.

I was very disappointed! Not many option on the menu, my pasta , even though I asked without the chorizo, was so salty and the noodles overcooked I just couldn't eat it. Not even half of my glass was filled with the Crémant I ordered. The restaurant was full, the tables are very close to another, so my friends and I / we were 4 people) had to speak very loud in other to understand each other. Not again...
