Today,I visited a modern Asian restaurant in Nuremberg ,Germany and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and efficient. The restaurant offers a wide variety of Asian dishes, all prepared with fresh ingredients and served with well-balanced flavors. The food tasted great, and the service was impressively fast, making the dining experience seamless and enjoyable. The interior design was elegant and modern, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall positive impression. It’s worth noting that reservations are recommended, as the place tends to get busy. That’s exactly how we found Fujiyama, a sleek little sushi spot tucked into Nuremberg’s old-world heart. It was one of those nights when the chill seeps through your coat, and the only thing on your mind is somewhere warm, bright, and enticing. Most dining in Nuremberg revolves around two things: pork and beer. Which, fine, has its charm, but sometimes you want to escape the schnitzel-scented fog. Enter Fujiyama: a space so modern it’s practically time-travel. The decor? Minimalist and striking – wood everywhere, so smooth and polished that I spent a good five minutes debating whether I’d wandered into a high-end sauna or a deconstructed grand piano. Either way, it was wonderfully warm, a glowing haven in the frosty night. The food? Excellent. The sushi arrives like a Vegas showgirl, all flair and drama, with dry ice billowing like the stage at Eurovision. It’s a spectacle, yes, but one that delivers where it counts: the fish was as fresh as if it had swum in that morning, the rice perfectly seasoned and not a speck of soy sauce in sight unless you asked. (Which you shouldn’t – respect the chef.) Service? Quick, efficient, and friendly enough to make you feel welcome but not smothered. They know their audience here – those who appreciate good sushi and good vibes without the fuss. If you’re cool, like sushi, and find yourself in Nuremberg, skip the bratwurst and head straight for Fujiyama. It’s a reminder that even in a city known for tradition, there’s room for something new and thrilling.

Delicious sushi and generally large portions (main courses). The furnishings are an eye-catcher, but unfortunately it's not very comfortable to sit on the wooden paneling, which continues as a bench, if you're staying for a longer period of time (there are seat cushions, but in the long run a chair is simply much more comfortable). I would have liked a little more attention from the service staff, they didn't proactively ask for further requests, but we had to draw attention to ourselves again in order to reorder. All in all, a really good Asian restaurant, both for sushi lovers and for those who prefer noodles, duck and the like.

Very nice atmosphere and delicious food. However, there is a lot of catching up to do in terms of friendliness and service. You should also urgently explain to employees the difference between a debit card and a credit card. I had to get stupid from the waiter several times because he didn't want to accept my debit card for payment. Really underground! Unfortunately, bad service ruins other good impressions.

Worst service in town. Don't know about food because reservation of table is not working and no one tells you how to get in the table. 🤬 In the end we had a table and food was good. 😋

Sehr gutes Essen, sehr schönes Ambiente - zumindest, was die grundsätzliche Innenausstattung anbelangt. Das ist designtechnisch ja wirklich ein Augenschmaus...aber warum stellt man dann Plastikblumen auf die Tische?? In so einem Lokal ein NoGo...und dann die Bezahlmöglichkeiten - auch etwas Hinterweltlerisch (Debitkarte erst ab 50€, darunter nur EC, aber erst ab 20€) - sorry Leute, das passt nicht in unsere Zeit!

We spontaneously went to the restaurant in the evening and were immediately seated by the attentive staff. In general, the waiting time for orders, serving and payment is very well organized. The areas and tables are clean, the atmosphere is pleasant and the decoration is appropriate. The food was fresh, warm and flavorful. It was authentically served and a large portion. The prices are expensive, but corresponding to the price-performance ratio. The restaurant is clearly recommended.

The site is beautiful. Good attention. We tried to book online and it seemed like there was no room until 2 weeks later but if you call they will give you a table. The problem was the food... The worst ramen I have ever eaten. The flavor of the broth was not good and the ingredients are not the usual ones (the pork was not typical for ramen). Another person at the table ordered ramen and left it practically whole.

What an experience to eat here! As soon as you enter you are amazed by the interior, and that surprise never disappears because the dishes are all beautifully presented and taste excellent. I was really looking forward to their Ramen, and although the service briefly seemed like it was an unusual choice, it was very enjoyable. Their homemade broth and chewy noodles were a pleasure for the taste buds.

I was there yesterday with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. My spinach salad was excellent! But my sushi rolls: One roll had so much wasabi that I almost had no taste left and I couldn't eat any of the pieces of my hasomaki roll completely. The nori sheets were so tough and rubbery. I had to spit them all out whole. I didn't eat either. The waiter asked and I explained to him. Unfortunately there was no response... just the bill. Bridget

Everything was just great! I've never eaten such delicious food, and I'm 100% serious about that. The service is great and very friendly. The ambience is just great. Even the toilets are very, very nice and pink for the women! A bit expensive but definitely worth it. We had sushi and chicken terijaki with rice and it is a clear recommendation. The food just melts so delicately in your mouth. You can tell that it is a finer restaurant. All in all, it is now my new favorite restaurant. Tip: Flavored water as a drink. It was my first time here and I highly recommend it!

We “discovered” the restaurant in passing and spontaneously decided to visit. Very friendly welcome (even without a reservation), brilliant interior, super pleasant atmosphere, attentive and extremely friendly staff. And first the food! From the starter (seafood salad, chicken karaage) to the creative sushi variations (more American/European style) and sashimi specialties to the homemade iced tea creations (particularly delicious: green tea ginger) - we haven't had something this good for a long time eaten Japanese. Both taste and presentation - simply brilliant. The price is in the upper class, but given the quality and the ambience, the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. We were so impressed that we ate here again two evenings later and we weren't disappointed on our second visit either. We will definitely come back next time we visit Nuremberg!

Unfortunately I didn't like the service. I had to wait an hour for my food only to be told that black rice was not available. I ordered my sushi with black rice but received it with white rice. In addition, the table where I was sitting and drinking my drink was also being wiped, which was very disturbing.

Was in front of Orr with two people on a Sunday evening. Get a place immediately. The furnishings and ambience are brilliant. The staff was super friendly. The food was super tasty. The vegetables were fresh and still crunchy and the meat was also really tender. Very well balanced in terms of taste. The price has been raised, but what you're happy to pay here given this ambience and the top location. Would love to come back.

My family visited this place yesterday. We really liked everything, starting from the pleasant atmosphere inside (huge hall, beautiful stylish interior design, cleanliness, unobtrusive music that does not drown out your conversations), the friendly staff, the excellent menu and of course the taste of the dishes themselves just wow . I highly recommend trying the soups, salmon tartare and duck. The presentation of the dishes also deserves special praise. We will happily visit this place again!

Super nice atmosphere, the food tasted delicious and was nice and warm. The only thing I didn't like was the service. The slightly older gentleman was a bit rude to my girlfriend and I. We had to wait 20 minutes until he finally served us and he served 3 other guests who came after us first and he didn't let us finish when he asked us about the long time If we were ready he just left and made us wait another few minutes. When we left he stood there and stared at us like criminals, which was a bit unpleasant.

A small deduction, however, are the fairy lights that were installed and the artificial flowers/plants on the tables and guest rooms. - The service on our evening was not what we expected. The waiting time until we could order drinks (which was then immediately taken in with food) was clearly too long. Furthermore, when selling wine bottles, the service should let the guest at the table taste the wine beforehand! Eating out should be an experience and bring joy. Having the feeling that the chef/kitchen & all the service staff enjoy what they do/are doing. And at the same time, you should of course taste it. An expectation that I think you can have. And yes, of course, tastes differ as we all know. Unfortunately the service and quality of the food were not what we expected. There are a few other places in Nuremberg with better sushi. There won't be a second time for us.

Service was ok, empty drinks were not noticed and we were no longer welcome at 3 p.m. sharp, although we ordered drinks at 2:50 p.m., so you could have mentioned that it ends at 3 p.m. Was then looked at very strangely by a waiter, and that with a tip of 12 euros...

Visiting this establishment was disappointing right from the moment I walked in. The half-empty room, the uncleaned table I approached, which I liked for its location, I politely signaled for it to be prepared. I was only planning to eat for about 15 minutes at most, but first, the waitress came to clean up and for some reason told me to go to another spot near the exit. She couldn't speak English, so she called a colleague who cleared the table and rudely told me to wait by the exit and that I couldn't sit there. It was my first time at this establishment, and I was puzzled by the treatment. When I asked, "Why, can you explain the reason?" he didn't answer but just continued to be rude. I know the cultural specifics of Germany, but guests aren't treated like this in establishments. The table wasn't reserved or anything; it was for one person. Horrible impression, bad service from the start, possibly due to some silly internal rules that clearly hinder the service. Not recommended.

A chic place with good food at acceptable prices. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the toilets is somewhat neglected. This was a big topic for the ladies at my table. That slightly spoiled the overall impression.

Congratulations to the interior designers; masterful performance. Unfortunately somewhat “watered down” by users - inappropriate wardrobe - plastic flowers - Paper napkins and wrong color ….. But excellent food! Sushi, however, adapted to American and European ingredients (cream cheese, cocktail sauce...) Best, fresh qualities. Excellent wines. Excellent, friendly and courteous service. Price/performance perfectly fine. If we lived in Nuremberg, we would be regular customers.

Nice restaurant. We've been here several times. Unfortunately, we now had the impression that things had slowed down a bit overall. The selection of vegetarian dishes is rather small. That used to be better. But the quality is still good.

Let’s start with something good. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant looks good and is presented well. However I ordered chicken wings as the an appetizer and got two wings exactly as you see the picture, not even full wings for about 6 euro smh. That just doesn’t seem right at all and is very small portions. As my main dish I ordered the salmon. They salmon was good and came with some rice and some bean sprouts I believe but again the portions are very minimal. If you are trying to lose weight and go out to eat then this is the place for you. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and very lost at times, I’m not sure if she was new to the job or what but communicating was difficult at times and I gave her the benefit of the doubt until we were about to leave and then she started working with me on the things I ordered so I can pay and then she suddenly stopped and said she would come back and ended up going to the end of our table to get some one else’s order. It didn’t seem right at all and very unprofessional. Altogether we were a party of about 14. Parking was also very difficult to find in this area, I would recommend paying for one of the underground parking lots. Overall the experience wasn’t tooo bad but I will not be going back

Today I wanted to test the Fujiyama and was extremely disappointed. I wanted a table for two without a reservation at around 6:35 p.m. At first they replied in a very friendly manner that a table would only be available at 7.30 p.m. The decision was then made to choose another evening with a reservation. But when two guests left the restaurant two minutes later, I thought I'd try my luck again. So while I asked whether something had become available, I had to wait several minutes while the lady at the reception tried to find out in the reservation book where seats were available and always accompanied other guests who arrived in between to the table. Maybe it was because I didn't speak to the lady in Chinese (!) like the other guests. But after I finally found a place, I wanted to ignore this behavior because I wanted to enjoy a nice evening. The service for the table came quite quickly and the order for drinks, starters and main courses was then placed. The drinks came pretty quickly too, so the evening got off to a good start. But that was all over. After about 40-45 minutes the drinks were empty and still no waitress deigned to ask at the table whether they could bring anything else, not to mention serving the starter, I drew attention to myself. This was then immediately recognized by a waitress and answered with a defensive gesture. The waitress then took care of clearing other tables, while she walked past our table several times without a second glance. When almost an hour had passed since the first order was placed and no one was at the table after the first drinks had been made available, despite repeated requests, I was forced to cancel my order by getting up and finding a waitress first had to, who felt responsible. I then found the waitress who had also taken the original order and who “kindly” allowed me to pay for the drinks despite the immense waiting time and then leave the restaurant with my companion with my stomach growling. Service is definitely different. And even if the restaurant is nicely decorated, this can't make up for it in any way. I was extremely disappointed here and can only advise others not to visit this restaurant unless you are immune to ignorant service and an immense waiting time.

Was there for dinner with my wife. She had sushi and I had a hot meal. Unfortunately both meals didn't come at the same time. I watched my wife eat for 20 minutes until I got my own food. If there are two people, it should be possible to serve the food at the same time. As nice as the menu is, it is of no use to anyone if the allergens are listed on the first page but for almost all dishes it is not written what allergens are in them.
