The service was consistently excellent: attentive, friendly, and pleasantly unobtrusive. You feel welcome and well looked after without it being intrusive. In conclusion: The Fuji Yama is not only a place for lovers of Asian cuisine, but also a haven of peace in the heart of the city. If you're looking for relaxation and excellent food after a long day, this is the place for you.

Nice place and friendly service

A dreamy ambiance, one of the most exceptional establishments the Nuremberg restaurant scene has to offer. The food is outstanding, the service fast. 👍🏼 They lose points for accessibility and digitalisation. You can't find them in a reservation app, nor can you reserve a table via their Google profile or website, and they're very difficult to reach by phone. 🙁 It's a shame, because in this league, you have to be at least good, if not excellent, in all areas; there's still room for improvement. 😳

Highly recommended. The service is very warm and friendly. The food (we had soups, appetizers, and hot dishes) is absolutely outstanding! The ambiance is, of course, wonderful, too.

Great place, clean and friendly, food is very tasty

In my opinion, it couldn't be better. Every visit has a personal touch, and apart from that, the food is top-notch, as is the service. I'd also like to point out that the clientele who eat there is also wonderful. A little note for the owner: it would be great if, for example, they announced when the popular O Toro tuna is available. Perhaps on the website that would be a cool idea. 10/10 ❤️

I was only pleased with the beautiful interior, there are no more pluses here. There was a bone in the rolls, I notified the waiter, and he apologized, I didn't get a discount for being too old. I don't recommend this place to visit.

Perfect taste experience, first-class service, and a nice touch with the dessert cake: a cake on the house for a birthday. We were very satisfied.

Highly recommended: very elegant interior decoration on the walls and ceiling (wood), which obviously also contributes to slight soundproofing. Very pleasant ambiance. And sufficient space between tables. The service is always attentive and polite. The menu is extremely varied, and there are also many options for drinks. In our experience, the food is always prepared very quickly and served simultaneously. Everything is very tasty. We have never been disappointed.

I went there for dinner with my grandma because I was so impressed with the sushi last time. Unfortunately, the hot dishes—my udon noodle soup and my grandma's stir-fried noodle dish—are not recommended. My soup was quite salty, and the other dish tasted like nothing. The service was friendly, and the ambiance is still super chic. Conclusion: Sushi and cocktails, yes. Hot food or tea, no.

Everything is absolutely perfect here. The food is excellent, the decor is simple but beautiful, and the large windows and the ceiling architecture make it truly exceptional. I'm especially grateful to the staff there, who took incredibly good care of me when I had circulatory problems on my last visit and repeatedly asked if I was okay. The people working here truly care about the well-being of their guests, and I highly recommend a visit.

The food was good and beautifully presented, the interior design was great, but the service quality was mediocre. The wait was long, and no one asked if you wanted another drink or dessert. You had to wave down the waiters several times if you wanted to order something else.

Great sushi, great service and nice ambience

Since the online reservation function unfortunately didn't work, I sent a message to the restaurant. After the reservation wasn't confirmed, I called and made a reservation for 5 people on June 7, 2025, at 5 p.m. The employee on the phone was very friendly. When we arrived at 5 p.m., the door was still locked; it didn't open until 5 minutes later; no one knew about our reservation. We still got a seat. The server was very friendly and gave us good advice, and the food was excellent. When it was time for dessert, however, we learned that our table was only available until 7 p.m. Other customers who had arrived before us were allowed to stay longer.

The ambiance is truly great and worth a visit. Unfortunately, the food isn't necessarily the best. The sushi was a bit bland, as were the grilled duck and salmon. The flavors were somehow lacking. The ebi skewer with two small, unassuming shrimp wasn't particularly surprising in its taste. But there was something very surprising: the three-digit bill.

Very nice restaurant, I come regularly. The food is always good. What I find very disappointing is that you only get a time slot and can't linger.

The table service was very slow; the dishes were all mixed up, and some sushi was also missing. When we went to pay, the waitress was very rude because she wanted us to pay in cash, not by card. We didn't have any change on us. Furthermore, the amount for card payments wasn't indicated anywhere. So she kept blowing loudly in front of us when we wanted to pay by card.

I came here with my friend to celebrate my last day in Germany. We spent a lot of time looking for a good restaurant, and chose this one because it had the best reviews compared to others. Unfortunately, once we were seated, no one came to take our order for over 20 minutes, even though the restaurant wasn’t full. We kept calling the server, but they just told us someone would come — and no one did. We weren’t the only ones either; we spoke to other couples who felt the same way. I’m really disappointed — we expected much better service. To make things worse, after returning home, both my friend and I started feeling sick. We couldn’t sleep the whole night — it felt like food poisoning.

The restaurant itself is good, but the waitresses don't take the right orders, and the kitchen makes mistakes too. 0.75 liters of water for €7.50 is only for the rich, or what? The waitress hisses in our faces when we pay by card because they prefer cash. Good, but avoid it if you want to have a good evening!

A disgrace. Service as unpleasant as can be. A very long wait just to get drinks. A 750cl bottle of water for €7.50 is pure theft. When you pay by card, the waitress huffs as if you've insulted her, even though no one ever told you it was a problem. No respect, no politeness. It's shit from start to finish. Run away.

Very good sushi, made on-site. However, the service was very slow and there were a lot of issues with ordering (several sushi pieces were missing, the wrong order was placed, etc.). Furthermore, the waitress was pleasant until it came time to pay, when she literally breathed in our face because we were paying by card. It would have been wiser to mention this before the meal began.

Wir erhielten einen Tisch am Fenster für zwei Personen (vorherige Reservierung erforderlich). Wir bestellten vier Sushi-Rollen - perfekt im Geschmack und styling. Sehr nette Servicekraft.

Fujiyama offers excellent Asian cuisine in a modern, tasteful setting. The service is attentive, friendly, and pleasantly unobtrusive, making the visit particularly relaxing. The dishes are fresh, aromatic, and prepared with great attention to detail. We visited with friends. An all-around successful evening – we'd love to come back.

The ambience is an absolute architectural highlight for Nuremberg. The service was extremely friendly. Since my former tribe Shushi in sight unfortunately had to close forever, I had to look for an alternative. Unfortunately, the food cannot keep up with the former competition (in terms of quality, presentation of the dishes and selection of the menu). I still had a nice evening and will be back.

Apart from the excellent quality of the food and the very friendly staff, I love the peace and the ambience at Fujiyama. The sound level is very low in this very nice restaurant, probably due to the way it is built. Personally, I find this very pleasant because you can have a good conversation while eating delicious food without shouting at each other. The sushi quality is very good and the crispy duck keeps its promise and is juicy despite being crispy! We'd love to come back!

Very great sashimi, great atmosphere

We visited this Japanese restaurant and we were really impressed by the atmosphere. The design is stylish, cozy and typically Japanese - you immediately feel at home. We tried ramen and sushi. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the quality of the food. The ramen consisted mainly of noodles with only a small piece of meat, and the sushi didn't taste convincing either. It's a shame, because the atmosphere is really great! If the cuisine is improved this restaurant could be a great place.

I was there for the first time. The food was fantastic! We had some appetizers and then a sushi mix. Really highly recommended! Too bad the service wasn't that good. The waiter was very nice, but he made us wait a long time. In the end we were left stranded and that's why we left early. The atmosphere is really nice, with lots of wood. It's just a shame that there was a fabric flower on the table, beautifully lit, but unfortunately not a real flower. That would be much nicer! I won't go there again, Kokono is definitely much better!

I always enjoy coming here. A good selection and really good sushi! It's very easy to get a table here and Fujiyama is open all week! A rarity for Nuremberg and Bavaria!

You feel welcome and well looked after from the first moment. The food is simply excellent. The ingredients are fresh and the preparation is masterful. Very calm and pleasant staff who don't (!) seem stressed. Very impressive wave-shaped interior design, which absorbs the noise very effectively through the wooden panels. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, but the wooden paneling is not very comfortable to sit on. The sushi was OK. The drink prices are slightly higher.

It's not that you are not served. No, you are even served very nicely. It only takes 10-15 minutes to place your order. In order to promote social interaction between the guests, you wait about an hour for the food to arrive. The guests show solidarity while waiting and give each other a few cookies to overcome their worst hunger. The quality of the food is okay, but my noodles with curry simply had curry powder poured over them, while the chop suey simply tasted like nothing. The sushi and a chicken dish were okay. Visually, the restaurant promises more than what we experienced here. However, the employees are very nice. Too bad...

Went to Fujiyama with the family for a birthday lunch and it was a pretty average experience. The menu was a bit random and had some items on there that felt out of place for a sushi place (Thai stuff, fried rice). Everything seemed a bit overpriced, especially the drinks. We picked quite a lot of different dishes and they were ok, nothing to shout home about. Portions were big at least - but not something you’d expect from a fine sushi place - and the dry ice effect was a bit interesting but didn’t distract from the firmly average dishes. The vegetarian options were very very limited and I would not return because of this. I also found the service not that friendly, and even a bit snarky, eg when we didn’t remember the number of the dish when it arrived, like what’s M5? The interior design is very pretty to be fair and the location is good. But dont expect too much in terms of menu and food.

The positive first: extremely tasty food, nice ambience, friendly staff and appropriate prices. We were very happy with this! Unfortunately, the mediocre thing is the service. The food came quite quickly after ordering because the restaurant wasn't that full yet. But the later reorder and the cappuccino are not. That took a while... Unfortunately, the cafe arrived cold twice. I didn't want a third one anymore. We had to wait longer for the bill and the receipt only came after we asked twice.

The dishes at Fujiyama are some of the best food in Nuremberg. I've eaten there several times and can only recommend it. The cocktails are very good. Above all, I can recommend the skewers and desserts, which are real taste miracles, to everyone. The sushi and pasta dishes are excellent! Always happy.

Food, service and ambience exceptionally good. Anyone looking for something better will have a very difficult time.

Mega tasty, I'm not a sushi fan at all but what's on offer here is simply divine 🤩😍Thank you for these delicacies🙏🏻 What I didn't like was that there was only super hot water in the toilet (risk of burns) for washing my hands and the seating was uncomfortable for me after 1 hour in this great wooden design, but the others sat comfortably on the chairs😜hence the 2 star deduction I'll definitely come back 😘

Big disappointment!! Despite a reservation, we had to wait a long time until we were asked to our table, even though some tables were free. We had to wait 1.5 hours until we got a drink. Same with food. Guests who arrived after us were served much earlier. Extremely poorly organized service staff. And the biggest outrage: the waitress leaves a tip on it without being asked. This is criminal!! We definitely won't be coming back!!!
