The atmosphere was cool, the food was so-so; however, the service was really bad, and the toilet was very dirty and had no soap.

Nice atmosphere. Food is good and portions look big but are not big. It doesn’t really make you full. (I normally eat small portions but this one was not even enough for me) But still tastes good. They also have vegetarian options.

I had the absolute worst experience at Frittenwerk Friedrichstraße, and I am never coming back. The last time I ate here, I ended up with food poisoning, which honestly didn’t even surprise me after seeing the state of the place. Have been going here for the past 3 years and I used to love this place but over the past year, I am beyond disappointed. Let’s start with the manager, hands down the worst HR manager I have ever seen. Not only is he completely incompetent, but he is also disrespectful and runs this place based purely on racism and personal biases. He only hires Indian Punjabis like himself, regardless of whether they are even remotely qualified for the job. Meanwhile, better-qualified candidates, including my friends, have been rejected time and time again for no reason. This is not how you run a business, and this is definitely not how hiring works. Talent and experience should matter, but clearly, they don’t here. Now, let’s talk about the staff, an absolute joke. They don’t speak German, don’t speak English, and don’t know what they’re doing. If you try to talk to them, they just stand there lost, staring at you, having no idea what to say or do. The store is always chaotic, with employees wandering around, talking, wasting time, laughing, chilling, and completely ignoring customers. Orders are always wrong, and the cashier seems more interested in arguing with people than actually doing their job. And the hygiene? Don’t even get me started. It is disgusting. The place is dirty, the food handling is questionable at best, and honestly, after getting food poisoning here, I wouldn’t trust anything that comes out of this kitchen. It’s no surprise that people walk in, see the mess, and just leave without ordering. The fact that the management can’t see this place crumbling is beyond me. This is by far the worst managed restaurant I’ve ever been to. As long as this manager is in charge, this place is never going to improve. Avoid at all costs, whether for food or for a job.

Fries with a difference and delicious. The portions are really filling. Unfortunately it is always very crowded and loud. Rather unsuitable for sociable and longer conversations. Staff nice, but rather distant and impersonal.

The fries were very tasty, especially the garlic fries. The curry sausage briefly saw a pan and it wasn't that great. Unfortunately the tables were very dirty and the toilets were disgusting.

So I ordered something to take away for over €40. Half of the things were simply wrong or missing. Of course, I only noticed it when I got home because I didn't check every box in the store individually... Yes, mistakes happen, but it wasn't a sauce that was missing, but rather a complete dish and the other was something I didn't order, which I couldn't eat because it wasn't vegetarian (both €10.20 each). I could have thrown away the €20 straight away. :(

Order via touchscreen and then the receipt says your name at the top and it is called and then enjoy your meal. I really recommend garlic fries instead of normal ones. Friendly and fully committed, the team did a really good job. Keep it up, we'll stop by and eat again.

Cool atmosphere and nice staff. The fries were good, but unfortunately the currywurst was not. The sausage had apparently been lying around for a long time... Half of it was hard and dry - as if it had been lying around for a while. I had to throw them away.

The food was really very good and highly recommended, especially in bad weather. Very nice interior, very green. Service was very friendly, especially the young lady with red hair and glasses was very committed and motivated. Gladly again :)

Wir alle lieben den unkomplizierten, eiligen Genuss to go. Dabei muss es nicht immer Burger und Kebab sein. Eine fleischlose Alternative ist Frittenwerk. Bei dieser Fast-Casual-Marke aus Deutschland werden ausschließlich frische Kartoffeln und Gemüse von regionalen Bauern und Händlern verarbeitet. Auch bei der Verpackung setzt das Unternehmen konsequent auf plastikfrei: Von der Tragetasche, Pommes-Schale über die Gabel sind sämtliche Verpackungen biologisch abbaubar. Wie es die Pommes-Manufaktur geschafft hat, in der von Giganten wie McDonald's und Subway dominierten Fast-Food-Branche eine erfolgreiche Nische zu besetzen erfährst du auf A SPECIAL COMPANY.

Delicious fries, also gluten-free options. But the salad was really too cold

Got the pulled beef and slaw poutine, classic poutine, two drinks and an avocado salad - paid roughly €35. Portion size of the fries was decent, but the fries were a little under cooked and there was nowhere near enough cheese. The salad was a tiiiiiny tray, and not worth the €4-5 I paid for it, althought it was very refreshing. Nice atmosphere with good music and friendly service.

Simply amazing! In our 2 days in Berlin me and my 11 year old daughter loved it so much that we went there 3 times! For the first time it felt like eating French fries was actually healthy;) Crispy on outside and soft on the inside with plenty fresh tomatoes and guacamole. Sour cream was so good and fresh and again felt very healthy. The churros were to die for-crispy to bite but then so soft and chewy on the inside! Love the atmosphere and the interior. The staff super helpful and nice! When in Berlin again we will be back to eat here!!!

Very good. Delicious chips with lots of veg options. The only "flaw" is that they are always heavier than you think, I often can't finish them and the prices are a little high (at least as an Italian tourist). However, highly recommended

The food looks really great in the picture, but the taste is totally disappointing... A bunch of different flavors thrown into one portion is bad.. there are plenty of fries, but if it's at the bottom, it will be soaked in various sauces that are part of that dish... Staff confused... For this price, I think you can eat much nicer in Berlin.

pale unhealthy looking staff was very rude and took a phone call mid order. i hope she gets help but she really shouldn't be working the counter with that type of lackluster attitude. never experiened such unprofessional behavior. normally i enjoy the fries but my order was barely half a portion this time. very disappointing.

Currywurst not too bad! So far I think it’s the best I’ve tried of four others in Berlin so far. Even though it was a bit too much sauce, the sauce is more than just the typical plain ketchup with curry powder, which is lovely. 🤌

Fries dripping with grease and not crispy. Rarely have I had such bad fries. Nope again.

We ate potatoes and churros. Chili sauce and cheese sauce were amazing, garlic potatoes were amazing. Churros had absorbed oil, they were not good. In general, the taste of the potato varieties is not bad, but after the pictures, expectations are very high, maybe that's why it didn't get full marks because it was so hard to find a table to sit. The only service provided is that have to do the preparation of the food, to order, finding empty places and a table themselves.

I'm usually skeptical about pure fry dishes. However, what you get served here is both worth mentioning and recommending. For a small additional charge you can get delicious garlic fries, in my chosen version with chicken kebab, coleslaw and delicious dip everything tasted together very well. However, there is a star deduction for the cheek of automatically begging for a tip at the ordering terminal. What for, please? After all, there is no service provided by the staff that would justify this. This criticism is specifically directed at the restaurant chain, not the staff.

For a quick snack, a very suitable place in the very center of Berlin. The tables are separated by partitions with fresh flowers, it’s nice to be here. Cleanliness control. The portions are quite large, but potatoes predominate, and I would like more vegetables. The tableware is disposable. The prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly and attentive. The musical background is invigoratingly youthful. And, basically, there are more young people and tourists with their families.

Worst Sausages in Berlín, the curry wurst is overcook, almost black, and the service the worst, they girl and the guys that prepare the food were making fun of my husbands name. Terrible service

It was my first time ever in a chip factory. I ordered a simple portion of fries. 3.90 euros seems to me to be a reasonable price for the portion size. And basically the fries were good too. But: There was no salt on the fries. I'm not an expert, but I understand the preparation process as follows: fry the fries, add salt and you're done. Seems feasible to me, especially if you do it professionally. But since I'm glad that they didn't forget to fry the fries, I graciously give it three stars.

Again, no real mayo, just the chemical vegan sauce, because real eggs probably cost too much for them and they want to make more money. Update: in response to their answer - "rather, through our purely plant-based sauces we make it possible for all guests to enjoy mayo" - if you really want to do that you can offer real mayo alongside the vegan "mayo", why don't you do that ? The way you do it, no person can enjoy mayo because it is not mayo, just like Beyond Meat is not meat or vegan cheese is not cheese. If you only offer planted chicken, you wouldn't say your customers can enjoy chicken, would you? Then please don't say that with mayo either.

Not amazing, for a place that specializes in fries, their fries should be better. But the interior is pretty nice.

I don't think the price/performance ratio is balanced. Too expensive for a portion of fries with a sauce and some avocado. A small bottle of water €3.50, phew

We came in here quite surprised. At the checkout we were pointed out about the machines, but with cold hands they had their problems... After we ordered, we first looked for a seat. Problem WiFi is free and the tourists are kind of stuck. The food was produced but you have to wait until the counter is ready because the name is not announced. The food was very satisfying for a junk eater. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was like a train station hall, all doors open and in the middle of November. Food-wise, Frittenwerk likes it, but not in the tourist area.

You can do it, but you don't have to. The sauces are very tasty and, in my opinion, freshly made. The fries are just fries... potatoes in strips from the hairdresser🤷‍♂️. My garlic pomnes were pretty average. The garlic was rather musty and wasn't my cup of tea. The fact that the sauces are on the fries makes everything rather soggy. I find the prices rather high. 4 people with a drink €60 is a lot when you consider that at the end of the day it's just potatoes in strips from the hairdresser. The sauces are the plus point and rent also has to be paid in this exclusive place.

It's always delicious, but unfortunately it's gotten worse. This time there was only a small amount of meat on it, which was a shame.

Food quality was okay but not exceptional, and a rather high price, especially for drinks (3,6€ for a Coke - you'd pay less at the airport). My Currywurst was a bit dry; perhaps it was too long on the grill. 1 additional star for the variety of the poutine. A couple of further critical points thought: First and foremost, when you pay at the self checkout machine, it asks you to add a tip. This is a fast food restaurant where guests take care of everything service related themselves (waiting for food, bringing to the table, cleanup), so tip for what? Moreover, it asks before you even get the food. This is a place where many tourists go, probably also well-meaning Americans, but we should not let this nonsense spill over here, and this suggestion borders on harassment. I'd suggest strongly to reprogramme the checkout machines. Second, there are no guest toilets. According to the Gaststättenverordnung Berlin Restaurants with more than 10 places seating need to offer toilets, so I wonder why this restaurant offers none. Last, current prices on the pictures attached, as other pictures here are outdated. Constructive reply to my feedback—thus add another star. Moreover, I forgot to mention before: The servers were friendly even though the queue was long.

Nice detail that you don't get a collection number, but a name on your receipt that is announced :). Our order was called 'Superman'. Food was also fine. Perhaps the price/quantity is not entirely in proportion.

The food in this establishment is excellent. Furthermore, you can always find a place or you can take the food with you and eat in the area. Very tasty and lots of vegan dishes and nice employees. Always recommended, regardless of whether you are nearby or have a special trip there. The fries are very tasty and well made! The offer is constantly being expanded and refined!

Soggy fries with any toppings. Everything is poured into a cardboard box and, of course, best ordered on the order screen and paid for in advance by card. System catering at its worst. Of course, what has been said is just my feeling. Others probably see it differently, otherwise the store would probably go bankrupt.

Food was good and very tasty. No spoon for the sauces. I think the currywurst is cut too big. Cleanliness could be better.(tables) And in my opinion, the price for the portions is too expensive. This is my personal opinion.

I had Mexican sweet potato fries and a curry wurst. The fries were heavenly satisfying and the curry wurst was ok. The curry sauce was not great. The system where the staff is screaming when an order is ready is not ideal. Also, the place was quite messy and dirty. But would come back for the loaded fries for sure!

Ordered a Coke Zero and got a regular Coke. Unfortunately I only noticed this after the first sip. I was then informed that this was now my problem. I don't think it's my responsibility to make sure I get what I ordered.

If you’re a big fan of fries, this is one of the best place I would recommend. The fries are in quite a big portion so definitely enough for lunch.

If the food in the shop tasted the same as it smells when you walk past, it would be the craziest chip shop in all of Berlin. But the food is low. Almost bland. The ambience, however, is quite cool. But it just doesn't taste good. And the prices are also excessive.

In general, the food looks good, the images are striking, the combinations are strange and not at all tasty, many flavors piled up without meaning, the currywusrt sausages with ketchup, not good, the machine where you order the food asks for a tip!!! The place is very nice, with plants and well lit. The service was the worst, we asked about the bathroom and the guy who attends sent us to the shopping center next door, at the time it was already closed, then we saw a couple who came in and without buying they asked for the bathroom and yes there was a bathroom!!! The same person who denied us the bathroom accompanied them to the sink, it was in very bad taste! I don't recommend it

My friend was at Frittenwerk on Friedrichstr today. And want to complain. --- I was really disappointed with my visit to Frittenwerk on Friedrichstrasse. The store discriminated against me in a way that I find completely unacceptable in this day and age. As a man, I was denied access to the toilet even though I asked politely and the store is required by law to provide toilets. However, to my surprise, a woman right after me was granted access without any problems. Such sexist behavior is not acceptable and leaves a very bitter aftertaste. Frittenwerk should urgently work on its attitude and treat all guests equally, regardless of gender. I will avoid this store in the future. The responsible authorities must decide to what extent this corresponds to the legal requirements. ---

Very bad service, no sauce/ dip included with 5€ fries, that were not even tasty. Waitress with pink hair did decline water to little children after kindly asking. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE Neither fries nor churros to recommend.
