We ate here two weeks ago during our brief visit to Berlin and it was amazing! It was early Sunday evening, tired from walking and soaked through as it was a wet and windy day. It was our first full day in the city and didn't really know our way around and were so hungry. We saw this inviting looking place, walked in, were greeted by a lovely girl with a big smile and perfect English. We both ordered the vegetarian chilli fries and a bottle of delicious lemon drink. The fries were delicious and the atmosphere was lovely! Our server also kindly gave us directions back to our hotel and we left feeling very full and happy! Beautiful decor, food arrived quickly and was beautifully presented! I would have preferred the cold salad in a separate container, as the sweet potatoes, which should have been crisp, were mushy. :(

Love this This is a famous fries chain in all of Germany - obviously don’t expect a prime currywurst simply because those need to be found in more niche places - but it’s solid with lots of toppings choices. I really recommend the currywurst special

Great quality food, Poutine is fantastic, as well as vegan Currywurst & vegan Coleslaw.

The place was nice and there is a lot of options for fries! We loved overall the fries, my favorite was the Istanbul fries! The triple cheese fries were also really good. The chilie cheese was decent. It was a nice place to grab a snack, the only down side was there isn’t a lot of place for seating inside.

A bit tight on space, but otherwise the fries are absolutely delicious. I like Frittenwerk! I'll try everything there!!! Delicious, delicious, delicious 🤤 I like the other branches too!

I’ve visited this shop 3 times during my Berlin stay and tried a variety of the menu. Everything was delicious and high quality, the staff were cleaning the tables and the food trays every time. Regarding the prices someone can say it’s a little bit high but I found similar prices in the whole Berlin so it’s just how the economy in Berlin is.

The food was delicious and freshly prepared. It was good value for money, but it was very crowded because there are fewer seats.

Disappointing Experience at Frittenwerk Stadtmitte, Berlin I’m a regular customer of Frittenwerk, but my recent visit to the Stadtmitte branch was very disappointing. I had placed a takeaway order and was waiting while holding my baby. Even after my order was ready, no one called out my name. The two staff members preparing the food (one male, one female) were quite irresponsible and seemed uninterested in helping customers. After waiting a long time, I asked the friendly girl at the counter to check, and she found that my order had just been left on the table. It was really inconvenient for me to manage the boxes and pack them myself while holding my baby. The overall customer service felt harsh and uncaring. To make things worse, the chili cheese fries didn’t taste like they usually do — they lacked the authentic Frittenwerk flavor I’m used to. It tasted like it was prepared just for the name’s sake, without the usual quality or care. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience, and I hope the management pays attention to improving service quality at this branch.

I bought the 9-piece falafel balls with dip for €5.20. They were delicious, but the size of these balls is outrageous; paying €5.20 for something like that is too much.

Place looks very cozy and cheerful. My currywürste mit pommes were very delicious!😋 I’d have given more stars if it wasn’t for this short-tempered girl with glasses who shouted at me for not knowing how the ordering system worked. 😠

Very tasty and quickly prepared food (the lemon ajoli is particularly amazing), beautiful interior, friendly staff (the young lady with the glasses was particularly nice and helpful), and just a generally relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended

There are fries. But you're sitting right in the middle of the new center, which isn't quite so new anymore. The name-calling system is quite entertaining. But at the end, there are fries.

The food is good as it’s a chain , but the branch at Friedrichstraße has the worst serving system. I had to wait 40 min and had to tell them. They had lost my order and also some others. Hopefully it gets better because the food is really good. 👍🏼

There was a bone in my chicken, which can be not only unpleasant but also dangerous. When I pointed this out, I received no apology, but was simply told to wait for the manager, who was supposedly in a meeting. After 15 minutes and asking twice, I left. The quality and customer service here leave a lot to be desired.

As a Berliner, I was here today and was excited. Now I'm a bit disappointed: The curry tastes like it's from a motorway service station, the ketchup is heavy and sweet—no comparison to the products from "Curry36" or "Fratpfanne." The fries were okay, but nothing more: they were already pre-fried.

Today I had a very disappointing experience at the Frittenwerk on Friedrichstraße in Berlin. Officially, they close at 10:00 p.m., but when I came in at 9:36 p.m. and was literally almost finished with the order, I was told “No, we’re closing now, you can only take away.” That kind of behavior feels extremely unfriendly to customers. If you announce opening hours until 10:00, then you should serve people until 10:00 – not shut down 20 minutes early. It makes me think twice about ever coming back. Next time, I’d rather go to Burgermeister or Curry 36 than deal with that kind of service.

I was recommended, but I didn't like the food very much. The sauces weren't very good, nor were the sausages. The bar was packed, and we had a hard time finding a spot.

On our trip to Berlin, we were looking for a place to eat currywurst and chose this one. It's worth noting that the dishes are based on fries with a sauce of your choice, and you can add sausages or any topping from the menu. We didn't particularly like the food. The fries were hard, there was too much sauce, and the sausages weren't particularly good (everything was over-fried). Each meal cost us around €13. It's true that it took very little time to serve us, the service was friendly, and the location was pleasant, so it might get you out of a tight spot, but we wouldn't return. We placed our order on screens like those found in some burger restaurants, and there were language options. The place is well located and has a well-maintained decor.

The food was very tasty. I chose a larger portion of meat and it was really filling. The meat was deliciously seasoned and the lemonade was also excellent. I would say that it is the healthiest fast food in Germany. The only complaint would be the price - we paid over 12 euros per person, which is really a lot for a Czech. It is also a shame that you have to pick up the food yourself and cannot have it brought to your table. Otherwise, great fast food and I definitely recommend it.

However, the location didn't completely convince me. Compared to the Tauentzienstraße branch, there was no access code for the restrooms, even though the facility actually provided for it. This unfortunately led to a lack of cleanliness in the restrooms, which significantly detracts from the overall impression. A greater focus on hygiene and clear regulations for restroom access would be desirable to avoid spoiling the otherwise positive experience.

Currywurst with fries. I wouldn't have thought that Berlin could have such bad products. The competition is fierce, and yet the sausage and sauce taste so bad, unbelievable. The fries are mediocre, the mayo costs extra, and the service is unfriendly. The wait is far too long. Poor value for money. You can get much better in Berlin!

I went to Frittenwerk Berlin (Friedrichstraße) and was very disappointed. The food wasn't fresh at all and, unfortunately, didn't taste good at all. For me, it was definitely not worth the money. Unfortunately, I can't recommend a visit there.

The after-work atmosphere continues with SALES between the closed-off outdoor and indoor areas, including raised stools. Ordering and picking up the products is pure chaos.

It's a chain serving different fries and poutine as well, you can easily recognize them at the most busy parts of the town. 📍Place: the atmosphere is really modern and fun, the overall brand shows quality and promises a pleasant experience. 🍛 Food: the potato is good quality, thicker cut, not oily, little Belgian style. The poutine was good, but I would expect the gravy more flavourful and less thin. The Tijuana fries had guacamole, salsa and garlic sauce, and first 2 were fresh and delicious, but the garlic sauce was made from mayo instead of sour cream, making it really heavy. 👩🏻‍🍳 Service: you can order at kiosks and you will be assigned a name which will be called when the food is ready. It's a little hard the hear it, but if you pay attention it's not impossible. The food is ready quite quickly.

Fritenwerk: Quality is rather mediocre. I've visited the shop several times on the way home, but it was never as fancy as they claim to be... the taste is rather bland. But the staff are very friendly. Oh well, find something else.

Here you can find delicious fries with a huge selection of sauces and salads. You can customize your meal. Ordering is quick at the vending machine, and you don't wait very long for your food. One star is deducted for the lack of space. Unfortunately, the restaurant is very small, and every seat is used for guests, making it very cramped. A definite recommendation for lunch, but then it's better to order takeout.

Mitte is known to be a tourist trap…not a ‘trap hood’ don’t get it twisted. But with that said prices and product reflect the less than cavalier food fair. As i waited for another take out I thought why not hit a side joint (literally) for sides or fries. Frittenwerk looked as though it fit the bill. Only to find it did not. I ordered garlic Parmesan fries and I got GARLIC garlic garlic fries with herbs and no Parmesan to be tasted anywhere. It almost smelled of truffle oil which is another problem, because if not used properly will instantly Overpower any dish. So heavy was the fresh Garlic I had to remove chunks before eating. In these cases a simple garlic salt and Grated Parmesan would suffice, then the fresh herbs would be appreciated and tasted. Otherwise all you will taste is Garlic Garlic Garlic. So in closing do not get the garlic fries if you are on a date or planning to date in a 72 hour….period.

If you have some self respect and don’t want to make your tummy hurt, avoid this place. Fries completely soaked in oil, not crisp and not fresh.

I want to love frittenwork, but i find it frustrating. Its my third visit. The food is pretty good, portions may look a bit small, but they are enough. It's a bit over complicated when it should be easy. You think it is going to be the McDonald's or Subway of fries, but no matter if its busy or quiet, the service is chaotic. This time almost 10 minutes waiting for fries with simple instant toppings. They don't seem to have any cadence for cooking fries, despite virtually every dish needing them, and orders don't come out in the same order they are taken, even if they are simpler and require no extra items to be cooked and added. I finished ordering before a couple and watched not only a sweet potato fries come out earlier but also the couple that ordered after I arrived. Staff seem to do all tasks. There is no one person just doing fries. Doesn't make sense. In the layout itself, it has a flow lane across the counter that no one uses, and everyone stands in front of the salt pepper area. I'm surprised they opened other operations before optimising the experience here. I think it needs to pick a model, subway or McDonald's and use some data and process modelling to speed up the throughput.

Delicious chicken avocado bowl. There are kiosks on which to order inside, and while others were using them without issue, it wouldn’t take my card. (I did buy something else with my card right after this too, so my card wasn’t the issue.) I’m not sure why it wouldn’t work. So we had to order at the counter.

Pensamos que toda la comida que pedimos era delicioso, aunque pensamos que era un poco caro. Nuestra tarjeta de débito (americana) no funcionaba en el quiosco, aunque sí para hacer una compra aproximadamente una hora después en una tienda diferente, por lo que debe haber sido un error dentro del quiosco. No estoy seguro de si el mismo error estaba sucediendo con las tarjetas locales. De cualquier manera, usamos efectivo y eso por supuesto funcionó bien. El hombre que tomó nuestro pedido nos preguntó qué cantidad de palitos de pollo le pedimos y mientras le respondíamos, se dio la vuelta para hablar con un compañero de trabajo y luego pareció molesto preguntándonos de nuevo, a pesar de que ya le habíamos respondido, así que no éramos fanáticos de eso, pero eso no es gran cosa. Había asientos interiores y exteriores y amplio espacio en medio de una zona concurrida, y el servicio fue muy rápido. En general, recomendaríamos.

This shop is an insult to this location! They serve fake fries, which I only noticed when I unwrapped them! They're advertised as "crispy," but they actually taste like dry, old pussy! The bowl has fewer ingredients than a salad 🥗 in Africa! I hope someone takes a shit in your shop!

Translate to German: The fries themselves were OK, but like any thicker fries. The fries with beef were 10x better than those with cheese sauce, which doesn't change the fact that they're not amazing. Unfortunately, covered in sauces, they don't create a Wow effect The pommes are all good, but there are some really good pommes. The stuffed with meat and the cheese were really bad, but they didn't help either. In the end, there's no Wow effect.

I had the vegetarian bowl. It was very tasty but more like a side salad with 2 dessert spoons of quinoa on it and 3 teaspoon sized falafel. The guy serving told me that's how it is supposed to be and all the ingredients are weighed. I had to buy a sandwhich somewhere else straight afterwards and I am not generally a big eater.

Good frittenwerk, unfortunately often very busy due to its location on Friedrichstraße. The food is extremely delicious, just a bit expensive, and the service is very good! Highly recommended.

Our order was randomly canceled after 1 hour of waiting. Then of course the restaurant had already been closed for 10 minutes. After calling 3 times, someone did have the mercy to pick up the phone and of course they didn't know anything about the order. What a shame.

I visited Frittenwerk on Friedrichstraße for the first time today – and wow, I'm absolutely thrilled! I tried the Classic Quebec Poutine, and honestly, I wished I had another. The fries were really crispy, the gravy was super savory, and the cheese melted to perfection – true soul food! The atmosphere in the shop was relaxed, the team super friendly, and even though it was busy, everything went smoothly. You can tell that the work here is done with love. I felt completely at home and will definitely be back. Maybe I'll try one of the more unusual versions next time – but the Classic will probably remain my favorite.

It was my first time at Frittenwerk on Friedrichstraße and I was pleasantly surprised. I had the Istanbul Street Fries – absolutely delicious! The chicken was really juicy, the sauces were perfect, and the portions were just right. Something else you shouldn't underestimate: the snacks! The crispy chicken sticks were amazing – nice and crispy and really tender on the inside. The place was clean, and the same goes for the restrooms, which were really well-maintained. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff was friendly. I'll definitely be back!
