Great service, absolutely delicious food, nice crowd!

Very nice there, delicious landlady 😉 it's fun there if you like Schlager.

I didn't eat anything, just enjoyed a few beers. I was there with my brother. Everything was excellent. I'd gladly go back.

A friendly place where you'll enjoy going. We haven't had such delicious gypsy sauce and curry sauce in a long time... and they're homemade! We'd love to come back.

Update: August 10, 2025 We were there on a Friday. A good, mixed crowd. THERE'S FOOD AGAIN. We only tried the meatballs, which were very good, but all the other dishes looked very good too. The owner's tapping method takes a bit of getting used to, BUT I've never had such a sparkling, fresh beer of the well-known local variety. All in all, a successful evening. UPDATE: June 11, 2025 The Friesenstube seems to have reopened under new management. I'll definitely check it out. An ancient pub. No food, not even a meatball or anything like that with the beer. Unfortunately, only one type of beer on tap. If you just want to have a few quick beers and maybe have a chat about old football/times at the bar, you can go there. The owner was friendly and quick. The prices are reasonable.

Everything's perfect in this pub. Cold drinks, good food with daily specials, friendly guests, and a wonderful landlady who creates a great atmosphere.

When it reopened, I thought it was too crowded, and I wasn't the only one who thought so. It's not a cult or RWE pub in my opinion; everything looked brand new, and there weren't many RWE fan items. I felt like I waited 30 minutes for my last beer, and another 10 minutes while paying.

We would like to thank the innkeepers for succeeding in destroying an ancient cult pub and, for many people, a regular pub. We will miss her in Frohnhausen.

Everything was great, unfortunately no more food since January 1st, 2024 😐

The pub still provides a good address for an after-work beer with extensive entertainment in a diverse group – mostly men! Good luck!

We've already tried different dishes there and they were all very tasty 😋 Excellent value for money.

Who doesn't know HIM, the "Boss", or "Köttel Rahn", who made us soccer world champions almost seventy years ago? And this is exactly where he felt comfortable back then. We're drinking our beer here now, great. A cozy pub with nice guests, good food and a friendly, always attentive tenant couple. You're doing a great job! Will probably come by more often now.

A Ruhr area pub as you imagine it. Atmosphere from earlier times. Unspectacular memorial corner for the “boss”. Attentive and approachable owner, friendly guests. Pleasant prices. Pils in small (0.25) glasses, which I think is perfect.

Classic, rustic pub atmosphere. The food is very special here, the schnitzels were incredibly good.

Delicious food and drink and above all a good atmosphere.

Wir waren zum wiederholten Male hier und sind jedes Mal begeistert. Die Portionen sind riesig und das Bier preiswert.

Friesenstube unser Vereinslokal der alten Herren VFB FROHNHAUSEN SIND IMMER WILLKOMMEN und lieben die Wirtsleute.

😇Die alte Stammkneipe von Helmut Rahn. Dort kann man noch halbwegs günstig und gut essen. Richtig gut wie früher altes Kneipenfeeling👍🤩

Ruhrpott Kneipe. Publikum ist Typisch Pott. Vereinskneipe des VfB Essen Frohnhausen. Im hinterm Raum steht auch ein Dartautomat. Kleine Küche für den kleinen Hunger. Uhrig und traditionelle.

Urige Kneipe mit Flair und nettem Publikum. Lecker Essen, nette Bedienung und Sport wird groß geschrieben. Daumen hoch.
