The food was very tasty and the portions were more than sufficient. The Lockal is small and cozy. Perfect for a nice round of get-togethers. The waiters are all very nice and if you come often, there is a familiar atmosphere between guest and staff.

Last night I had a meeting with a very close friend who highly recommended the restaurant to me. It was a welcome change for me, as unfortunately there are not that many barrier-free restaurants in Bad Laasphe that you can visit as an electric wheelchair user. I actually haven't visited the Brauhaus zur Sonne for a long time and even after it was reopened by the really wonderful owners, I haven't been able to have my first experiences there yet. Like yesterday, that finally changed. Normally I'm more of a silent reader of other reviewers and almost never write any reviews (which will definitely change now) when I've visited or visited something. But I just have to record what I experienced yesterday here. Because that was really beyond the 5 stars that you can give here. When I entered the restaurant yesterday, the first thing I noticed was how incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated everything was. There are special pieces from the brewing era of that time everywhere and everything around has been modernized. It is cozy and warm and the light is not too bright, but not too dark either. But that's really a matter of taste, as I'm more of a fan of more comfortable, quiet atmospheres. Less than 15 seconds later, before I had even noticed everything around me, I was greeted incredibly warmly by one of the waiters who showed me my table and said "how nice it was" to be there. And it wasn't because you were greeted overly cautiously as a "wheelchair user", no, on the contrary. Every guest who came after me was warmly welcomed. In a way that wasn't a given. The boss also came to see you personally. Even though we knew each other personally, he took his time even though the restaurant was packed. You had the feeling that you had been a regular guest for years and that you were part of the restaurant's inventory. The exuberant atmosphere of very satisfied guests, the personal time that ALL employees took to make sure you had a great time and everything that happened yesterday, that alone motivated me to write this review. And as I just said, I haven't even written 3-6 reviews here on Google in my life. Now I come to dinner. Speaking for me personally and I think I can also speak for my close friend with whom I had an incredibly great evening yesterday, the food was so incredibly delicious that I sometimes thought about ordering something again or even taking something to go. Not because you were still hungry, but because you felt like ordering something new so that you could have something new and delicious on the table. As you can see in the picture, yesterday I had a rump steak with steakhouse fries, and for dessert I had mousse au chocolat. The steak was cooked to the right level as desired and the fries were slightly crispy. I just wish the herb butter was homemade. Then it would have been absolutely wonderful. The mousse au chocolat was simply amazing as a farewell to the meal. The way the food was prepared was also absolutely top. The eye was also full. :) While we were eating, the time passed so quickly that we started the journey home with both laughter and tears in our eyes. Just for the people who work there, for the food that is worth every single cent, for the great atmosphere that you get here, but also for the loving willingness to help, I would come again at any time. Unfortunately I couldn't rate the toilet and hope that it is also barrier-free. Because then everything would be perfect. You've definitely gained a guest who will roll in often!

I was there for the second time yesterday and I have to say that the restaurant has developed further since the beginning of the year. The menu was expanded and the food was really great.

We were on a short vacation in Bad Laasphe and discovered this great restaurant by chance!! The food was excellent, the service was attentive and super friendly. When we were there again the next day, we received two schnapps as a little gift, which we thought was really great. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back. Food comes for 6 people, staggered 45 minutes from first to last. We were there at 12:00 p.m., the last person got their food at 2:15 p.m. After a conversation, the innkeepers promise to improve and have accommodated us with the price.

Today we were there spontaneously with the family (2 adults and 2 children aged 6 months and 2 years). I am really excited! The service was very friendly, accommodating and EXTREMELY child-friendly!!!! The boss always took the time to joke around with our 2-year-old daughter, even though the house was busy. The food was what I imagine good home cooking to be. The schnitzel was a schnitzel and not frozen pressed cardboard. The fried potatoes were very tasty, only the side salad could have had a little more sauce for my taste. However, this "shortcoming" was absolutely not important because the portion size of the schnitzel with fried potatoes was so large that I wouldn't have been able to finish the salad anyway. The price for everything was very fair and absolutely reasonable, despite the absurd fairytale tax increase in the catering industry.

Four of us visited the restaurant today and we weren't really happy with the result. First of all, the waitresses were friendly and accommodating and took care of us. There's nothing to complain about. The atmosphere is also rustic and cozy. What is unfortunately absolutely disastrous is the food! The food offering is similar to what is available in the entire Siegen Wittgenstein district. Burgers, schnitzels, steaks, salads etc. So as always, no soul and no culture. In a brewery restaurant I expect a menu that covers all aspects of beer. Unfortunately we didn't get that. And if that wasn't disappointing enough, the ingredients were also really terrible. The sauce for the Jägerschnitzel was from the package. The burger buns were also discount and absolutely hard. The cheese spaetzle consisted of melted cheese in ready-made cream. And the side salad was lettuce leaves onto which ready-made salad was poured. As a result, the sauce was just discolored water! The cocoa afterwards was also a disaster. Because it was dissolved in water. Not even in milk. All in all, it can be said that any bad home cook can cook better at home and the food is definitely the reason not to come back again. It's a shame, but unfortunately tradition, culture and soul have been lost in this restaurant!

The ladies at the counter are very nice and funny, in contrast to the new owner, cheeky, unfriendly and arrogant. Food is okay and comes quite quickly.

We reserved for 6 people plus a small child and got a table that wasn't suitable for 6 people. There was also a special card that was not pointed out when making a reservation.

Sehr ansprechendes Ambiente und nettes, zuvorkommens Personal. Das Essen war äußerst lecker und schön angerichtet. Vorallem kam das Essen zügig zum Tisch. Essen zum Mitnehmen gibt es in nachhaltigen Verpackungen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist optimal. Wir werden es auf jedenfall weiter empfehlen.

Sehr leckeres geschmacklich gutes Essen serviert bekommen. Teller waren reichlich gefüllt und das zu einem sehr moderaten Preis.

Das Essen kam sehr zügig, obwohl das Restaurant sehr voll war. Das Personal war freundlich zu uns. Schönes Lokal. Speisekarte ist nicht sehr groß. Leider war mein Schnitzel nicht ganz durch. Pilze sind aus der Dose, dass hat man raus geschmeckt. Geschmacklich war es okay.

Es hat uns allen sehr sehr gut geschmeckt. Auch die verschiedenen Biersorten waren immer frisch gezapft und sehr lecker. Wir kommen sicherlich öfter.

Wir hatten einen super Abend mit sehr leckerem Essen. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hat sich gut um unser leibliches Wohl gekümmert. Wir werden sehr gerne wiederkommen.

Essen war ganz i.o., aber die Wartezeit von 1,5h war definitiv zu lange. Die Bedienung war teils freundlich.

Ich hatte nur Süßkartoffelnpommes für 4,90 Euro. Zum Preis, kann ich nicht so ganz beurteilen, weil man bekommt sie eigentlich nirgends im Imbiss. Waren aber lecker. Mein Freund hatte Twisterpommes mit Frikadelle, ihm hat es geschmeckt.
