Frankfurter Haus in Neu-Isenburg

Wanted to try Germany food during my business visit. Recommended by colleague and visited with him. Food was good. Attention from servers might have been better.

We had a delicious meal. The schnitzel was nice and lean, and the potato salad was also delicious. I loved the apple and pumpkin salad. The dressing was delicious, and it was also a feast for the eyes.

An absolutely perfect host, and anyone who has anything to complain about here should think about what it's like somewhere else!!!!! We love this place and feel completely at home 🫶🏻

The Frankfurter Haus is spacious, with a great outdoor area and a nicely designed interior. Unfortunately, the noise level inside is quite high, making it rather uncomfortable, almost like an apple wine bar. This certainly isn't the hotel's own standard, as the service and cuisine are clearly superior.

As always: The hand cheese was delicious. The service was prompt. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Today was the first and last time I was there. Let's start with the positives: The food looked good, the cider was tasty, and the price was really fair. The garden is also beautifully landscaped and offers plenty of space. Unfortunately, the positives end there. The service is poor. After we ordered – an cider with a bottle of water – the second, dark-haired waitress asked us if we wanted something to eat. Our reply, "No, thank you," was met with a dismissive "Cool." That's exactly how you feel here: out of place, unwanted, and with a bad feeling, no matter what you order or from whom. The attentiveness of the staff also leaves a lot to be desired. You can't really speak of hospitality or a sense of service here. If I were the owner, I would strongly recommend training the team – or hiring specialists who are well-versed in dealing with guests, instead of temporary staff without service experience. We usually like to address service staff informally – when it's deserved. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good fit here at all. We can't comment on the food since we didn't order. But one thing is clear: small portions, high prices, and poor service – that's not a combination that makes you want to return. The icing on the cake was a spider in the poorly cleaned toilet. Conclusion: Apart from the delicious and inexpensive cider, the visit was a disappointment. It's a shame about the lovely ambiance in the garden – we won't be back.

We were there yesterday for a class reunion. The ambiance is very nice both inside and out. The staff is super friendly, and the service was good for the size of the group. However, the food was unacceptable for the price. Four of us had green sauce with eggs and potatoes. We almost had to search for the portion on our plates, and there were a total of three tiny potatoes on the plate, which must have come from a jar. When we asked for a few more potatoes, we were given a small bowl with six of these tiny potatoes, which we were ultimately charged €5.50 for. That's not customer-friendly in my opinion, considering the price of €17.90 for a bit of green sauce. We were all generally disappointed with the food. Apparently, according to the service, that's the boss's order and has been criticized many times. I've worked in the restaurant industry for decades and have never experienced anything like that. Apparently, the restaurant is doing so well that it's a good way to alienate customers.

A very nice, large beer garden. High-quality food, but also high prices.

The ambiance is nice, the staff is polite but didn't seem entirely attentive. We each had two "organic schnitzels." Our orders arrived after 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was so thin that there was more breading than meat on it. It was so dry that it stuck in my throat. A hair had been fried into one of the two schnitzels. This was omitted from the final bill without any fuss.

As always, a feast! Best "Grie Soß" (Greek sauce), deep-fried spritzer. Fast service, we'd love to come again.

This was our first time at Frankfurter Haus and we highly recommend it. We sat outside in the perfect weather and were immediately attentively shown to our table by a friendly young waitress upon arrival. We opted for the spare ribs and the classic schnitzel with green sauce. The spare ribs were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the meat fell right off the bone. The schnitzel was just the right thickness and was beautifully fried in lard. The green sauce was very flavorful and freshly prepared. The three different waitresses took turns coming to our table and asking if everything was to our satisfaction and if we had any requests. We will definitely be back.

First, I waited 15 minutes for a server to arrive, only to realize I had to order by phone. Other tables were being served. Assuming the starter and main course would come separately, I ordered everything, but it all came at the same time. The schnitzel was okay, but not great. The food came very quickly, but otherwise, it wasn't a great experience.

We've been enjoying Frankfurter Haus for a long time. Unfortunately, last time we went, we noticed that the portions are now significantly smaller and the prices are sometimes significantly higher. The value for money is declining, which we understand, but for us, it takes away the restaurant's unique selling point.

I'm a little undecided about how to rate it. The food is sometimes good, sometimes bad. Wiener Schnitzel is greasy and tastes absolutely nothing. Salads are mediocre, fried potatoes are swimming in grease. But in the fall, we had goose with chestnuts, dumplings, and red cabbage, and it was truly delicious. I'd also recommend the asparagus (in season). So, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad.

It was a very nice, quiet evening. We had a schnitzel with potato salad. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough for my husband, but it tasted very good. I had chanterelle mushroom ragout with fried potatoes. The portion was sufficient for me and very tasty. We'd be happy to come back.

The food was great – the tartar was, in our opinion, too small for the price. The rest of the food was very tasty – top-notch. The ambiance is a 10 out of 10 (both inside and outside). Sitting on the terrace in the evening is especially great. Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time to be served (over 30 minutes). The food arrived after over an hour, and a reorder of butter wasn't brought until the very end (but it wasn't included on the bill). To pay, we had to get up and look for a server. Then we had to wait again for the server responsible for our table (card payment). We were a bit unhappy with the service. Overall, they were nice, and we would go back. Perhaps that was an exception that day.

I was delighted to spend my birthday there with my parents for lunch – I was especially pleased with the candle on my dessert table! Thank you so much for that!

Great atmosphere with a great playground for children. Unfortunately, my food and the food of my friends weren't that great either. We both had cheese spaetzle, which really tasted a BIT of cheese in 2-3 places, and otherwise just mush with cream. My friends said exactly the same thing. Maybe other dishes are better, but I would never eat cheese spaetzle there again. For that price, you can expect it to taste like cheese. What a shame.

Unfortunately, there won't be a good review for this restaurant. The prices for food and drinks were exorbitant, the wait times for service were very long, and the service left much to be desired. Going into detail about the shortcomings would take too long. We skipped the "goodbye" and left it at "good day."

The Frankfurter Haus used to be a legend. Everything was just perfect – the food, the service, the wines. It was also perfect for larger groups, with its own outdoor playground, which was especially great for children. Unfortunately, the house has completely lost its soul and character. The food seems unloving, the service disinterested – it feels like a place where you only get "food" but no longer a real experience. I'm honestly sorry to be so critical, but I want to be honest. After we moved, we wanted to remember the good old days – but what we experienced was a cold, soulless place that bears no resemblance to the former Frankfurter Haus.

Since I was there for a company party, I can't comment on normal operations. It's definitely a very nice place. The food was good. Unfortunately, there was a shortage of some drinks quite early on. It was a shame, considering it was 40 degrees Celsius. I can well imagine visiting the Frankfurter Haus again.

Please imagine the following situation. You and your wife are celebrating your 31st wedding anniversary in a beautiful setting. You plan everything and reserve a table at a supposedly nice restaurant. It's very hot, but that's okay. You made a reservation. Then you arrive at the restaurant and are immediately addressed informally by the waiter. I don't mind that in principle. But at a restaurant of this caliber, I imagine it would be different. We specifically ask for a table in the shade because it's very hot, and then we're given a table that's partially shaded and within 15 minutes is in full sun, so my wife had to move around the table during the entire meal to avoid overheating. The table next to us, which was offered to the new guests, remained empty the entire time because they could have easily fried eggs there. We then finished our meals as quickly as possible and paid the bill. The whole thing isn't cheap there either. When we asked the waiter about it, he didn't even apologize. Thanks again for completely ruining our wedding day.

We celebrated a 50th birthday here and we were thrilled. The food was legendary and the service was fantastic. The selection was top-notch and the value for money was very good. Everything was super quick. We'll be coming back often and definitely recommend this place. The service was always super friendly, and we felt like we were truly welcomed. Today, we ate at this restaurant with a group of about 15 people, and I, or rather we, can only say that it was simply very, very tasty and good. We had veal schnitzel and green sauce, steak, schnitzel, snails, and for dessert, Kaiserschmarrn, ice cream, and hot chocolate, along with a variety of drinks. The menu is small, but it is very clear and the food is very good. Despite the very high temperatures outside, the service was very cheerful and always happy to fulfill our wishes quickly. We were extremely satisfied and will definitely be back. By the way, there is a very nice playground for the little ones, even with a bouncy castle (yes, you read that right), so that the little ones can have fun and the grown-ups can relax for a while. It is worth recommending. Thank you for the lovely day with you.

I was whisked there today for my birthday, and I was thrilled. The whole family enjoyed delicious food; even the little ones loved it. There's a playground right on the premises, so the adults could eat and drink in peace. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend a visit. You don't sit at a table here and can hear your neighbor talking. We were there with a larger group and our dog, everyone got our food at the same time, and we never had to wait long. €33 for a Wiener Schnitzel raises high expectations. I was bitterly disappointed here: The breading was so thin that it fell off the meat in shreds at the first bite. Instead of a crispy coating, all that remained was a sad, dry piece of meat, while the crumbs scattered across the plate like waste paper. This was accompanied by a lackluster potato salad that was more reminiscent of a large canteen than Austrian hospitality. A dollop of cranberries and a wedge of lemon unfortunately don't make this an authentic Wiener Schnitzel experience. Conclusion: For this price, you only get one thing: frustration and crumbs. If you like real Wiener Schnitzel, you should steer clear of this place—and save your money.

The Frankfurter Haus boasts a beautiful beer garden under mature trees. There's also a playground. The service was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Unfortunately, the food doesn't match the price. The Wiener Schnitzel was dry and apparently not freshly prepared. The Caesar salad came with a sparing amount of sauce. The chicken pieces were also dry and apparently fried rather than freshly cooked. Considering the prices, you'd expect more, especially since the preparation isn't complicated. I also missed the classic Frankfurt dishes that used to be available a bit. CONCLUSION: Service and ambiance (both inside and out) were excellent, but the food prices clearly have room for improvement.

I've been to the Frankfurter Haus for the fourth time since the change of tenant. I left once because there were no options for a gluten-free meal and for accommodating other food intolerances. Now there's a chef who understands the term gluten-free. Unfortunately, the rösti (fried potatoes) served with the schnitzel were burnt. And the schnitzel should be renamed creamed mushrooms (lots of them) instead of meaty schnitzel. After I sorted out the mushrooms to give to my husband, there weren't many strips of meat left on the plate. They don't fill you up. Accordingly, the price-performance ratio is too high. They have delicious homemade lemonades. Perhaps they could reduce the (white?) sugar. The staff are friendly, and the playground is a plus. I missed cushions on the wooden garden furniture.

A Wiener Schnitzel for almost 30 euros consists only of breadcrumbs which you can clearly taste of meat, not a trace of side dishes to the meal and were only brought after you asked, after the main course had already been eaten and no apology but just a shrug of the shoulders "it can happen". Service unfriendly... and it wasn't busy, hardly any guests means the staff shouldn't be overwhelmed... a shame the Frankfurter Haus used to be really good but not for a long time now.... The advertised grilled sea bream was unfortunately deep-fried and very small, but tasted okay (6/10). The sauerbraten was a bit dry, and the dumplings were very dry and didn't seem fresh. Sauerkraut was good (4/10 overall). Bottom line: The service and ambiance were top-notch, but the food could be improved.

Service was super fast and attentive. We had Wiener Schnitzel with asparagus. It was at our table in 5 minutes, honestly. Almost too fast. Unfortunately, the asparagus wasn't peeled properly. The schnitzel was okay, but nothing special. The fries were unfortunately rather sticky. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the schnitzel here. But things got even worse with dessert. We had Kaiserschmarrn (sausages). It was so hard because of the glaze that it was almost impossible to eat. Unfortunately, the worst Kaiserschmarrn I've ever had. Sorry, we won't be coming back.

Reservations are possible, but only as a formality: Only the number of guests is taken into account. Requests, such as a table by the window, are ignored and not fulfilled without comment. The main thing is that it's crowded and loud. Table conversation is impossible due to the noise, and the food doesn't compensate for the lack of flavor.
