Wir waren insgesamt 6 Personen. Ich hatte online reserviert und das hat gut funktioniert, bei Ankunft wurde uns gleich ein Tisch zugewiesen. Die Auswahl an Getränken und Speisen ist hervorragend, hier findet sich für jeden Geschmack etwas. Das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker, wir hatten Pfälzer und bayerische Küche am Tisch. Die Portionen waren reichlich und geschmacklich sehr lecker und es hat jedem geschmeckt. Die Bedienungen waren allesamt sehr freundlich. Das Ambiente am See gelegen ist sehr idyllisch. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wenn Sie auf einer Wanderung sind, müssen Sie hier unbedingt anhalten, etwas trinken und das leckere Essen sowie den beeindruckenden Blick auf den kleinen See in unmittelbarer Nähe genießen.

Das Essen war gut, die Portion war groß und ausreichend, der Preis war ok. Leider wurden wir auf der Terrasse vom Service übersehen, bei der Bestellung, wie auch beim bezahlen durften wir den schönen Blick über den See lange genießen.

Sehr leckeres Essen, super freundlicher, schneller Service. Obwohl viel los war kamen die bestellten Gerichte sehr schnell. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut

Ich war am vergangenen Samstag wieder einmal im Forsthaus zur Isenach und hatte einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt. Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft. Direkt am Isenachweiher, mitten im Wald, sitzt man in einer wunderschönen Naturkulisse und kann den Blick über das Wasser schweifen lassen. Allein dafür lohnt sich der Besuch schon. Besonders schön: Vor oder nach dem Essen kann man gemütlich um den Weiher spazieren und die herrliche Umgebung genießen. Der Biergarten ist wunderschön gelegen und bietet eine entspannte, idyllische Atmosphäre. Trotz des gut besuchten Samstags war ausreichend Personal vor Ort. Die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter waren durchweg freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr zuvorkommend. Meine Bestellung wurde schnell aufgenommen, die Getränke kamen zügig und auch auf das Essen musste ich nicht lange warten. Die Speisekarte bietet eine gute und abwechslungsreiche Auswahl, das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut fair. Man spürt, dass hier Gastfreundschaft gelebt wird. Wer am Wochenende kommen möchte, sollte eventuell reservieren, denn dieser besondere Ort ist verständlicherweise sehr beliebt. Für mich gehört das Forsthaus zur Isenach zu den schönsten Ausflugslokalen der Pfalz. Eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die gutes Essen, freundlichen Service und eine außergewöhnlich schöne Lage inmitten der Natur schätzen.

Meine Frau und ich machten einen Spontantrip zum Weiher , kamen um die Mittagszeit an, was natürlich ein bisschen warten mit sich brachte wegen einem Parkplatz, ist aber um die Uhrzeit und am Wochenende normal , wir gingen erstmal um den Weiher herum , es war sehr schön , dann bestellten wir was zum essen , die Portionen sind gut und groß genug , es gibt für jeden Geschmack etwas , die Preise sind auch on Ordnung , im gesamten können wir das Forsthaus empfehlen

Alles gut soweit. Man siezt dort sehr schön. Essen gut, Service gut, Toiletten sauber uvm. Man kann eine nette Runde mit Kindern und Hund im den See gehen und sich dann stärken im Forsthaus. Die Boote zum mieten gibt es nicht mehr.

Eines der romantischsten Flecken in der Pfalz: Am Ufer des stillen Sees liegt dieses Restaurant wie ein kleines Versprechen an die Liebe. Das Wasser glitzert im Licht, als würde es jeden Augenblick festhalten wollen, und die sanfte Brise trägt den Duft der Natur über die Terrasse – warm, einladend, vertraut. Das perfekt abgestimmte Essen schmeckt nicht nur köstlich, sondern fühlt sich an wie ein liebevoll gedeckter Tisch für zwei Herzen, die sich nah sind. Jeder Blick in die Umgebung, jeder Sonnenstrahl, der sich im Wasser bricht, macht den Moment ein Stück kostbarer. Der überaus freundliche Service schenkt einem das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein – nicht nur als Gast, sondern als jemand, dessen besonderer Tag hier mit Sorgfalt und Herzlichkeit behütet wird. Es ist ein Ort, an dem man nicht einfach verweilt, sondern an dem man sich ineinander verliert und die Zeit für einen Augenblick stillsteht.

Am Wochenende bei schönen Wetter sehr überlaufen, aber das ist ja leider überall so wenn der Parkplatz nur ein paar Meter entfernt ist 🏕️

Sehr lecker, schönes Ambiente viele Sitzgelegenheiten essen ist wunderbar. Wer nach dem essen noch einen Spaziergang machen möchte ist hier genau richtig. Auch für Vierbeiner geeignet. Tierfreundlicher Biergarten. Geeignet für Rollstuhl fahrer

Wunderbar, super Essen,grosser Platz, Getränke an Maß

Wunderschön gelegen, innen urig mit viel Holzbalken, aussen Biergarten am See, einfach herrlich ! 🙂🙃 Und das Essen, auch ein Genuss, ich habe dort die knusprigste Haxe meines Lebens gegessen !!! 😍 Statt auf Andechs, werde ich zukünftig hier meine Hacke genießen👌 Service war auch herzlich, also alles in allem, ein schönes Erlebnis. Draußen ist auch eine Hunde-Tankstelle, für durstige Vierbeiner. 🐕 Danke für den schönen Tag.

Parkplatz vor dem Gebäude, wahnsinnige Kulisse, tolles Essen, Personal Superklasse, mit kleinem See ,den man umlaufen kann. Dort hin zu gehen und zu verweilen ist wie URLAUB LGP

Sehr schöne Lokation, super sympathisches Personal und das Essen war auch sehr gut. Wartezeiten für essen und Getränke waren auch vollkommen ok dafür daß der Außenbereich voll war und auch drinnen noch ein paar Gäste waren. Wenn wir in der nähe sind werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder hier her kommen.

Der Salat ist best ever. Geiles Dressing auch wenn man beim Preis von 18 Euro dafür erst einmal schluckt. Mangel nur an der Leber. Die kostet im Einkauf ein paar Cent, aber für den Preis erwarte ich etwas mehr an der Portion und ich meine nicht weniger Leber dafür mehr Pommes. Ansonsten ist nichts zu bemängeln, ich werde wieder hin gehen

Das erste Mal vor Ort und werden aufjedenfall wieder kommen... Wiederholungsfaktor +++ Freundliche Menschen (man nennt es auch Bedienung/Personal), die recht zügig Unterwegs sind und ein Auge auf den Gast haben...

Nach einer Wanderung sind wir hier eingekehrt und waren sehr zufrieden. Wir haben gut zu Abend gegessen und waren mit dem Service sehr zufrieden. Es ist schade, dass die Küche schon um 18 Uhr schließt.

Wir lieben es dort!! Das einzig negative, uns hat die Biersoße zu den Haxen nicht geschmeckt! Aber Haxe selbst super! Schnitzel und Flammkuchen gut!! Wir kommen wieder!!

Obwohl sehr viel los war, wurden wir super freundlich empfangen und zum Tisch geführt und dort auch zügig bedient. Der junge Kellner war sehr freundlich und absolut auf Zack. Das Essen kam in angebrachter Zeit und war wirklich frisch und sehr lecker. Unsere Kinder haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt.Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Natürlich war heute wieder wegen des Feiertags alles voll und sämtliche Tische belegt,leider bekommt man nicht mal eine Portion Pommes"auf die Hand",man verlangt das man wartet bis ein Tisch frei ist und kann dann erst bestellen...schade das man so mit zahlungswilligen Gästen umgeht...vielleicht kommt aber auch für euch noch die Zeit in der ihr froh wärt eine Portion Pommes verkaufen zu können. Hochmut kommt vor dem Fall !

Sehr gutes Essen und sehr freundlicher Service - wir hatten eine tolle Zeit!

Mitten im Pfälzer Wald, und dann noch an einem Weiher, liegt diese Lokation. Von hier aus kann man schöne Wanderungen machen und danach in das Gasthaus mit großem Außengelände einkehren. Wir haben wir haben Spinatknödel und Tris gegessen, die uns beide sehr gut geschmeckt haben. Nettes Service-Personal und die schöne Lage Wir kommen wieder.

Was für ein schöner Ort! Ich liebe die Natur, den See, den Wald und den Biergarten. Hier ist für jeden etwas dabei: Kinder haben einen Spielplatz, und auch Hunde können spielen und sich erfrischen. Das Essen im Biergarten war lecker und preiswert. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Ein Stern ist schon zuviel! Da verlässt man sich auf die Homepage und steht dann mit acht Personen vor verschlossenen Türen. Wenn man eine Homepage hat sollte man die auch pflegen.

Ich war schon öfter hier und wollte meiner Schwester aus der Schweiz und ihrem Mann die Pfalz zeigen. Sie waren sehr angetan von Bad Dürkheim und am Isenachweiher und dem Forsthaus natürlich auch. Ein Lob an die Küche aus der Schweiz und Australien von meinem Schwager. Echt lecker. 😃

Heute war ein ganz besonderer Tag: Das Forsthaus zur Isenach hat nach der langen Winterpause wieder seine Türen geöffnet. 🌿 Ich war heute mit Anton zu Gast und habe mich von Herzen gefreut, wieder dort zu sein. Es ist jedes Mal ein Stück Heimkommen – gemütlich, herzlich und einfach besonders. Ein großes Dankeschön an das gesamte Team für den wunderbaren Start in die neue Saison. Das Wohnzimmer der Pfalz hat wieder geöffnet – und das fühlt sich richtig gut an. 😊 Anton und Bernd

We ate here on Boxing Day. The ambiance is nice, but unfortunately, despite having a reservation, we were seated in the very back corner. Moving to a different table wasn't possible. The food was really not good. They were completely out of duck. The roast beef roulade was dry and tough, obviously reheated. The red cabbage was simply reheated from a jar and didn't taste good. The schnitzels were gristly...definitely not recommended. The service was okay, but nothing special.

First a walk through the woods, then a leisurely meal. That's exactly how it should be! And that's exactly how it is! The food is ALWAYS first-class. Really good home cooking. You have to try the schnitzel with cheese sauce! The fries are perfect! Since I always walk my dog ​​through the woods, I'm also amazed at how friendly the staff is to four-legged friends! Everyone has a few treats in their pocket. The atmosphere is cozy and rustic. Just right. In case you haven't noticed: I'm thrilled every single time! @Forsthaus: Please keep up the good work! I'm already looking forward to March when you reopen.

The forest lodge is somewhat secluded in the woods; the food is excellent and the staff very friendly and accommodating. There is a very large outdoor area with a beer garden and a children's playground. Plenty of free parking spaces are available.

The food was absolutely delicious; there wasn't a single thing I didn't enjoy. The selection was good – not too much and not too little. The staff was friendly, competent, and welcoming. The menu did mention that it might take a while to get your food when it was busy, but ours arrived faster than expected.

We were there today with a larger group, including our dogs. Despite the large number of dogs, we received excellent service, a private table, and a friendly welcome. We felt welcome and the food was excellent. We'll definitely be back!

I've been to the Forsthaus zur Isenach several times and can only say good things! The staff is always super friendly, and everything is really fast. The quality and, above all, the value for money of the food is impeccable. Plus, the cozy atmosphere in the old forester's lodge is superb. Even in summer, when it's hot everywhere, sitting in the cool forest is a dream. I'd go back anytime :)

There were lots of ticks at and around the lake. We had to remove well over 100 ticks from the dog.

Every year when we're in Bad Dürkheim, we always drive to Forsthaus zur Isenach. You can sit comfortably inside or outside, and the food is delicious. We always have a wonderful time there.

We as a family really enjoyed it. Everything we needed was there. Beautifully located, with plenty of parking.

The forester's lodge is very well located, and from here you can enjoy a lovely walk along the Iseanchweiher pond. The food itself was delicious. Unfortunately, the spit roast is only available seasonally, as it's cooked on a charcoal grill. Parking is a bit tight in nice weather, unfortunately also because some people need parking space for two cars.

What a cozy place. Perfect after a hike. Reservations are required on weekends.

A very nice, dog-friendly restaurant with a beer garden, located in the middle of the forest by a pond. Very good food, a wide selection of dishes, an incredible selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and wine. Great service and great staff.

We celebrated a birthday there today. It was a wonderful day. The table right by the lake, as well as the food, was simply fantastic. The prices are reasonable, too. The location is simply fantastic; you can take a walk around the lake after dinner. We all had a great time. Thank you so much!

An older gentleman took their place after they left, and we had some pleasant conversations there too 🤭 The food was simply amazing😋, and the value for money was right💪. Finally, we walked around the pond and enjoyed the scenery. It was my first time here🤷‍♀️, and I was absolutely thrilled😍😍 Definitely worth a visit for young and old 😘

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We ended up at the Forsthaus zur Isenach during a motorcycle tour thanks to a recommendation from two hikers, and what a stroke of luck! Even though it was packed, we still managed to get a table outside. The service was fast, super friendly, and always attentive. We absolutely loved the food: two schnitzels, one baked potato, and one spit roast. Everything was freshly prepared, top quality, and simply sensational in taste. Who would have thought you'd find such a great restaurant in the middle of the forest? 😄 We'll definitely be back 👍

The food and service were just about okay. My baked potatoes had a lot of "eyes"... as always: everyone has different expectations. So far, so good! What I didn't like at all: Two waiters cuddled extensively with three dogs from a group of guests... then they continued serving... yes, I'm just sensitive... but I don't think that's appropriate in a restaurant. Another thing I noticed: Unfortunately, the path around the pond wasn't very pleasant either... at almost 30 degrees Celsius, it constantly smelled of "poop," which was present in large quantities. Of course, the owner of the forester's lodge can't be blamed for that!!!

We stayed at the Forsthaus Isenach and had schnitzel, spaetzle and gravy, spit roast, and roast pork with dumplings and red cabbage – everything was delicious and freshly prepared. The service was friendly and attentive. We sat in the cozy beer garden with a beautiful view of the lake, right next to the children's playground where our children could play. Dogs are also welcome. All in all, a lovely, relaxing outing – highly recommended!

We were there on a Friday 🏍🏍🏍, but the forester's lodge is unfortunately closed on Fridays. What a pity. It looks very inviting. I'll try again next time, and then I'll rate all the categories.

I highly recommend this restaurant for the ambiance alone. The view of the lake is beautiful. A walk around the lake is a must! The restaurant doesn't have enough space for the number of guests. There are simply not enough tables outside. We were there just before peak time. The food was served relatively quickly. The staff were consistently friendly. After we got our food, it became very difficult to reach a server. They were rushed the whole time and visibly under pressure. The food was delicious, you can't complain. The prices are outrageous. The side salad alone costs €5(!). Here you get quality for a higher price. Highly recommended!

Great atmosphere, parking spaces always fill up quickly; the Forsthaus is actually too small for the crowds, or to put it another way: there are too many people here. The service is super friendly, but regularly reaches its limits. You wait for seats and for the waitress, who is always very friendly despite everything. The food is excellent – and not cheap.

It's wonderful to sit by the pond and be pampered when the temperature is over 35°.

An idyllic spot in the Palatinate Forest. Visited again today and enjoyed a large, superbly prepared trout and meatballs. After a good meal, we took a circular walk around the dammed Isenach River. Very friendly and good service.

Beautifully located on the Isenach Pond with parking and plenty of hiking trails. Friendly staff, delicious food—even grilled on holidays. Please note: Limited opening hours!

Mushroom schnitzel with fries and salad €22.90. Ready-made sauce and canned mushrooms. Schnitzel was otherwise okay. Salad was delicious.

Despite the holiday, everything was very good. The service was very nice and friendly. The food was quick and there was a good selection. They also grilled food on a charcoal spit.

Were there yesterday for the first time since childhood, absolutely brilliant, super tasty, and really nice and pretty service. This makes eating out fun. The apple strudel is AMAZING.

A very idyllic, cozy, and rustic cabin nestled in the middle of the forest by a beautiful lake. They serve regional and seasonal cuisine—everything we ordered was delicious, the portions were generously sized, and the prices were reasonable. We were able to sit at the cozy table with a fireplace in the middle; it was a wonderful atmosphere! The service was excellent, very friendly, and attentive! Parking is great. After dinner, a walk around the beautiful lake is worthwhile—the view of the forests and mountains is breathtaking. We'd love to come back!

Very nice place on an idyllic pond with the possibility of hiking or walking. Refreshment outside in the beer garden and inside - very cozy - possible. Unfortunately the food wasn't convincing. The food seemed very dry to us, as if it had been kept warm for a long time and partly like a ready meal. Nevertheless, we will come back and recommend a visit. Quality can vary from time to time.

Unfortunately, our visit to the restaurant was disappointing. After being seated in the next room - which was fine in itself - the drinks were taken quickly, but after that we were simply forgotten while eating. Only after his own inquiries did the waiter come back to take the order. One negative point: My Diet Coke tasted strange - it turns out it had been expired since October 2024, so seven months ago. The drink was taken away after being informed and the waiter apologized, but that was apparently the end of the matter for him. Nothing happened for over 20 minutes. Only after further follow-up did he say that all the Diet Coke bottles in the house had expired - information that could have been communicated to the guest immediately. Finally I was offered a normal Coke that wasn't expired, which I took. Even if the waiter tried to be polite, that doesn't make up for the many oversights. Serving expired goods, ignoring guests for long periods of time and forgetting orders is simply not enough. There is clearly a lack of care, organization and service awareness here. On the positive side, however, the food – as soon as it arrived – was solid and tasted okay. Not top-notch cuisine, but absolutely acceptable

The food was really good, fresh and very quick at the table. Price/performance top. If we are in the area we will definitely come back. Absolute recommendation.
