We ate at Finkenborn for the first time without a reservation. Very tasty, service a bit overwhelmed, even though the restaurant is only sparsely staffed. Extremely thin menu, not even a beef steak!!!?

We had 3 tables occupied outside on Sunday at 6 p.m. Guests without reservations were all turned away. Reason: they only planned for reserved guests. During our stay until 8 p.m. no other guests came but those who arrived were all turned away. The male waitress made a very unkempt impression (jewelry on his hands, private clothing, etc.) and constantly interfered in private conversations. Food carelessly prepared, schnitzel very greasy, side dishes not fresh (canned?). When paying we were asked for a positive Google review.

July 2024. Incredibly outrageous 😧! Tried to reserve a table by phone several times during the day on Sundays. No response, answering machine or anything. Received on site with the words: "if you haven't made a reservation, then I don't have any food for you". Less than half of the tables were occupied. When I asked irritably whether this meant we were being kicked out, the answer was completely blunt: "Yes". No courtesy, understanding or otherwise customer-oriented behavior. So we left again with the whole birthday group. And we will certainly never enter the restaurant again. Which is a shame because of the great location and proximity to our home. But something like that doesn't work at all and word will get around.

We were there at prime coffee time and were rudely sent away. No more new tables will be occupied. We have rarely experienced something so unfriendly... at least we could have asked what we wanted. Well, you won't see us there again... actually 0 stars

Absolutely unfriendly waiter, first came to the neighboring table and then to our table. He told us quite unkindly that he would no longer accept any more tables. Because he would be alone. As we were leaving, another waitress came out of the restaurant. Maybe it was because of the dogs we brought with us. Never again such rudeness.

Celebrated my friend's wedding there and it was a great evening! All-round feel-good atmosphere, great waiters, beautiful location!

I didn't find the service very friendly. We had reserved in advance and still had to wait a long time for everything. The food was tasty but not very special. A nice area to sit.

Above all, the service simply has to be praised. So kind, funny and most of all thoughtful! Here we even thought about certain food preferences (Muslims at the table, so no wine in the sauce). About the food: we tried different dishes and were so satisfied, from the game plate to the fish. Everything was plentiful and perfectly put together. We had a great evening, it felt like we were eating with friends (who are extremely good at cooking).

The food is always of particularly good quality, very cozy and sometimes something different. Unfortunately I miss the buffet such as: Duck or wild boar, which was always available in autumn many years ago, with a very good selection and products. Unfortunately I don't know if something like this is still done??? But otherwise everything is very good and there are enough parking spaces here, it's definitely worth it, but I haven't been there for a long time!

I was here some time ago for a celebration that I helped organize. When we arrived, there were initially two places too few. The asparagus at the buffet was raw. The drinks were only served with the main course and not before. The planned champagne reception did not come to us, but the aperitif was only brought after request. In addition, the aperitif was different than discussed. The food at the buffet took a long time to arrive. The ice cream for dessert was served in a Coca Cola glass! When asked for a refill, the same glass was used and no fresh one was brought. The wine that was specially tasted and discussed at a previous meeting was empty that day after one bottle and no longer in stock. The service said they don't like serving at events. And therefore the motivation was noticeable and the behavior was quite unprofessional. The leftovers from the buffet had to be packed up independently and in a hurry after being thrown out at 6 p.m. without prior arrangement because the rooms were still booked. Unfortunately, even when these many shortcomings and dissatisfaction were addressed, there was neither compensation nor an apology. The atmosphere was nice and the previous organization was good and friendly, but unfortunately the celebration was disappointing in some respects. A pity

On Saturday, May 18th, 2024, I was allowed to DJ at a wedding in the Forsthaus Finkenborn. You can have a fantastic party at the Forsthaus Finkenborn. The hall, the winter garden and of course the food and service were excellent. The guests were extremely happy to dance and party. All in all, it was one of the best celebrations of my career. It was an honor to accompany this celebration. Many thanks to all guests and of course to the bride and groom.

The food was very tasty and the staff was friendly and attentive! We'd love to come back!

After a catastrophic journey, a restaurant awaits you in the former forester's lodge, which is also suitable for large parties and weddings. May the forester's house continue to exist for a long time.

Not having cake at 4 p.m. on Whit Monday is an indictment.

We were at a wedding party, the food was okay although the starter was missing (for whatever reason) The service was a disaster, the dishes and later the glasses piled up on the tables. Even the bride and groom cleared their own dishes. Sorry, but that's an absolute no-go, it's not a snack bar You almost always had to get your own drinks. The ambience was quite nice, but you can't score points with that Maybe think about it and do it better

It was a successful Mother's Day. Food was great, service was attentive and present.

I haven't eaten something so delicious in a long time. Salad. Market vegetables. Chicken steak. Herb butter. The dish was tender, juicy and fresh. The service was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Restaurant recommended by me as a food critic.

Went there yesterday with four people. The food was very tasty, the waiter (although only there for the second day) was competent and quick and the ambience was really great. There were no long waiting times and the prices were absolutely reasonable for the quality. We would like to come again.

I was there for the first time on Sunday and was treated very kindly. The service was very attentive and the food tasted very good. You can certainly enjoy the location in the countryside when the weather is better. I'd love to come back.

I can't comment because the restaurant was closed. I caught a bad time - company shutdown. Visually, the forester's lodge looks inviting.

Attention: The owner tries to delete negative reviews with an advertising agency, which claims you are not a customer or violates personal rights. Basically, he is paying to suppress legitimate criticism in order to attract more customers, who are deprived of the opportunity to be warned about possible defects! Where are the consumer advocates? I used to be a customer there often and have a lot of childhood memories, it's a shame that the good times are over

Das Restaurant „Forsthaus Finkenborn“ auf dem Klüt in Hameln ist sehr zu empfehlen und hat uns mehrfach in vielen Belangen, besonders kulinarisch, wirklich gut gefallen. Sehr schöne Alleinlage im Wald mit großer Sonnenterrasse, helle und gepflegte Atmosphäre, sehr gute Vielfalt und Qualität der Speisen (u. a. aktuell div., leckere Wildgerichte), gutes und faires Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Wir saßen im Saal mit „Jäger“ Ambiente. Ambiente, Essen (wir hatten in der Gesellschaft jeweils Paar-Platten mit ausgewählten Leckereien). Service war super (!) - wir konnten kurzfristig entscheiden…

Hmm, leider eher ernüchternd. Wir sind seit über 30 Jahren immer wieder im Forsthaus Finkenborn eingekehrt, unser erster Besuch nach dem Besitzerwechsel war leider eher ernüchternd. Beschädigte Einrichtung, unfreundliche Dame im Service, instabiler Hochstuhl für ein Baby. Das Essen selbst war okay, steht aber in keinem Verhältnis zu den Preisen.

Das Servicepersonal ist äußerst zuvorkommend. Leider sieht man im Restaurant rechtsgehend zu den Toiletten doch stark beschädigt den Bezug aus Kunstleder der durchgängigen Sitzbank was einem nicht gerade einen guten Eindruck vermittelt. Das Essen ist von der Portionsgröße ausreichend, leider war für uns das Essen recht geschmacksneutral denn es fehlt z. Bsp. an der Wildsülze gänzlich die Würze. Der Hinweis vom Servicepersonal das dafür die Gewürzmühlen für Pfeffer und Salz auf dem Tisch stehen lassen wir nicht gelten. Essen sollte schon eine gewisse Grundwürze haben. Sorry für die nicht so überschwengliche Bewertung. Bitte in Zukunft etwas Würze ans Essen.

Ich habe am 28.10.2023 Scholle gegessen,die gefällt mir nicht ,viel zu salzig die Bratkartoffeln auch und wenig! Für den Preis von 25,40€!! habe ich mir die Zubereitung besser vorgestellt.

Selten war es so klar. 5 Sterne für erstklassige Speisen und tollen Service. Auch das Ambiente stimmt. Hier weiß die Küche wie es geht. Wir haben selten so gut gegessen und gingen mit einem Lächeln nach Hause. Ganz klare Weiterempfehlung, eine Bereicherung für die Region und die neuen Eigentümer haben ganze Arbeit geleistet. Respekt.

Erstklassig!!! Das Flair der Lage und der Baustil sind bereits wunderschön! Der Biergarten wirkt seeehr einladend und wir beschlossen bereits JETZT, vor betreten, hier einmal den Besuch mit einer Motorradtour zu verbinden! Der positive Eindruck setzte sich dann auch im Innenraum fort. Wir wurde herzlich empfangen und dies wurde durch alle Mitarbeiter ebenso freundlich fortgesetzt. Eine kleine Werbung in der DEWEZET hatte uns auf die Wildplatte für 2 Personen aufmerksam gemacht und genau diese bestellten wir dann auch. Der kleine Gruß aus der Küche, 4 Baguette Scheiben mit Kräuterbutter Krönchen überbrückte die geringe Wartezeit köstlich. Die Pfanne die dann auf einer geheizten Platte abgestellt wurde, war bereits optisch ein Genuss! Spätzle und Kartoffeln un eigenen Schalen endeten unser Menü ab. Geschmacklich war es hervorragend!! Am liebsten hätte ich im Anschluss die Pfanne sogar noch ausgeleckt 😂 Es war eine gute Portion, wir waren satt. Natürlich hätten wir auch noch mehr davon essen können, jedoch wäre dies, wie so oft keine gute Idee 😂 Preis/Leistung war für uns stimmig! 39€ Auch der Nachtisch, für knapp 9€ jedoch im oberen Preissegment, war mega lecker! Tonkabohnen Brûlée mit Chassis Eis. Fazit: Wir waren begeistert und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Ein mitten im Wald gelegenes Restaurant mit einer schönen Karte. Wir waren zu dritt dort zum Essen, wir alle waren zufrieden, allerdings nicht begeistert. Danke für den angenehmen Abend

Wir haben hier einen tollen Abend erlebt. Das Essen war sehr gut und es gab riesige Portionen. Der Service war unglaublich nett und aufmerksam. Ich empfehle das Forsthaus gern weiter.

Auf jeden Fall mal zum Essen dorthin gehen, stimmt Alles, sehr aufmerksamer Service, 👍👍👍

Wir waren zu 6 Leuten da und es hat uns allen sehr gut gefallen und geschmeckt. Das war schon toll !!!

Der Rollbraten war nicht befriedigend...

Heute während eines Waldspaziergangs im Biergarten eingekehrt. Die Bedienung kommt flott, allerdings ohne Speiskarte. Sie ist sehr freundlich und erklärt, dass man Kuchen direkt im Restaurant auswählen kann. Ich bestelle Käsekuchen und einen Pott Kaffee. Das Kuchenstück ist ausgesprochen lecker und sehr groß, der große Cafe Crema schmeckt ebenfalls sehr gut. Eine Speisekarte wäre trotzdem toll. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Kurze Pause gemacht. Draußen gesessen. Sehr freundlich und schnell bedient worden. Der Käsekuchen war wirklich gut!

Wir waren schon öfters zum Kaffeetrinken im Forsthaus. Der Kuchen ist jedes Mal sehr lecker. Und uns gefällt auch der Biergarten sehr gut. Die Bedienung ist immer nett.

Schöner Ort für eine Trauerfeier.

Sehr aufmerksamer ,flinker , freundlicher und guter Service.Klasse abgeschmecktes und fein angerichtetes Essen,die Hauptgänge hätten ein ganz kleines bisschen größer sein können.Die Karte passt zum Haus ,man fühlt sich wohl und gut aufgehoben.Kommen garantiert wieder

Meine Schwester und ich waren lange nicht mehr im Forsthaus. Hat sich viel verändert zum Vorteil. Essen war super lecker ,frisch zubereitet und das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.
