Absolute heart recommendation! We spent a wonderful evening in the forester's house today. The service was always friendly and accommodating. Of course we started with an aperitif in the beer garden in the best weather and great atmosphere. Our starters (tomato soup and side salad) were wonderful and arrived at the table quickly despite the beer garden being full. We were simply thrilled with the main courses! Price-performance ratio is absolutely justified due to the portion size, freshness and quality. A completely wonderful evening that is far from over! We would definitely like to come back here!

The food was delicious and we had a direct view of the Dechsendorfer Weiher. Since the outside area is directly adjacent to a street, it can get a little louder at times.

Attentive, friendly staff. Delicious food (schnitzel was great, but the salad was two corners above average) reasonable prices. Ambiance (in the evening, outside) is really great. A place where you can invite friends without hesitation.

Cozy beer garden that invites you to linger. We weren't inside, so I can't say anything about it. The service was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. As a guest you felt welcome. The food was very tasty. In addition to game dishes, there are also seasonal offerings as well as German and Franconian cuisine. What we had was enough in portion. The price is generally a little higher, but ok. Only the potato salad was borderline sour. Here less would be more. There is a point deduction for this. Also for the dressing of the side salad. (I wasn't alone in this opinion). The summer salad, on the other hand, was very good. What struck me negatively were the toilets, which were already getting old and very worn. In general we felt very comfortable and ate well. We'd love to come back.

Mixed impression. Most of the waiters are very friendly and attentive, but one of the ladies is rude and unfriendly. The sauces with the meal (Schäufala, wild boar leg) are too salty, but the meat tasted very good. The ice cream sundaes for dessert were consistently impressive. You sit very comfortably at the table with a view of the lake, but also the busy street.

The food is generally good and fresh, although I don't recommend pancakes with blueberry sauce - she sauce was not good. The staff is not trained well, it happened to us a few times to wait way too long for anyone to notice our appearance. The biggest con of this place is that you can order food only till 19:30. Come on, you have a restaurant next to a popular summer relax destination and you close your kitchen that early??

After a walk at the Dechsendorfer Weiher, we (larger group of six adults and four small children) went to the Dechsendorf forester's lodge. Since we had good weather, we went to the beer garden. This has a cozy atmosphere and invites you to linger. The restaurant offers typical Franconian cuisine. Despite being busy at lunchtime, the attentive wait staff came straight to us and took the orders. After about 15 minutes we had the orders on the table. The food tasted good and was visually very attractively presented. The portions are very generous in my opinion. The prices are reasonable in my opinion. The drinks alone are a bit more expensive, but the points mentioned above made that worth it. There are special dishes for children and, what is not a given, their own menu. The card comes with colored pencils so you can color it. There are also little puzzles on the map, which was a great activity for our kids while they waited. Little details like that are something you appreciate as a parent :) All in all a great Franconian restaurant and a recommendation from me.

war heute gegen 13⁰⁰ im Biergarten des Forsthaus ... nach etwa halber Stunde Wartezeit höre ich zufällig, wie andere Gäste am Nebentisch bestellen wollten und die dann darauf hingewiesen wurden, dass sie sich anstellen müssten und sie dann "platziert" würden ... diesen Spruch habe ich zuletzt vor 35 Jahren in der DDR gehört ... wer's so mag, der kann gern hingehen ... ich nicht mehr ...

I had wild boar curry. If you want it spicy, this is exactly the right thing for you. Vegetables crunchy, meat tender, rice to the point. The wild garlic and potato soup was rich and good.

friendly staff!! The price/performance ratio for the food is not okay. I had 3 bratwursts with potato salad = the bratwursts were too salty, the potato salad was too vinegary, my husband had Forsthausschnitzel with cream sauce and chanterelles = the schnitzels were okay, the chanterelles were a manageable 3-4 pieces, the sauce was okay but a bit small, that's what it was plenty of spaetzle. The beer was at a stomach-friendly temperature 😎.

Was there for the all-you-can-eat buffet for €33. There were spare ribs, 20 different salads, bratwurst, sauces, potatoes, beef and bread. Everything very tasty 😋 This is once a month, with live music

Fränkisches Schäufele mit Klößen, Kümmelsauce und gemischtem Salat. Besser geht es nicht. Die Kruste des Schäufeles ist auf den Punkt gebacken. Der Geschmack und die Textur des Fleisches lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Gute Klöße und ein schmackhafter Salat vervollständigen das Gericht. Wenn man sich im Forsthaus etwas bestellt, darf man davon ausgehen, dass die eigenen Erwartungen nicht enttäuscht werden. Solides erlerntes Handwerk trifft auf Können. Schade nur, dass man sich diesen Genuss nicht öfters leisten kann.

War am Vatertag im Forsthaus zum Essen, Das Essen, das Personal die Atmosphäre und natürlich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis waren absulud hervorragend. Außerdem konnte ich noch nach dem Essen einen ausgiebigen Spaziergang um den Dechsendorfer Weiher machen. Es war einfach ein super Tag für mich. Werde bestimmt das Forsthaus mit dem schönen Biergarten und Restaurant besuchen.

Nice beer garden next to Dechsendorf Weiher. Beer is nothing local and also bit pricy. Atmosphere is soso as it is next to Main Street. Parking is possible however there are less slots available.

I celebrated my birthday with 25 people here a few days ago and was completely satisfied: - Food and drinks (champagne reception, menu with two starters, several main courses to choose from and dessert) were super tasty, beautifully presented and were served at the same time, - Service was also perfect: very courteous and nice, - Ambiance was also very nice, both outside (champagne reception) and inside, where the meal and other celebrations took place. The price given per person refers to the menu without drinks.

Cozy inn. We ate deliciously! Service was also very good. Located directly at the Dechsendorfer Weiher, where you can take a leisurely digestive walk ;-)

Couldn't get it because the lady at entrance accidentally put other people for the only table available, who were standing behind me in a queue though. "sorry" was the only excuse from her without even minor effort to fix own mistake and take care of a client. this is the new bottom of service you can get

Very friendly staff (even when we reported our delay by phone), unobtrusive. We had liver dumpling soup, potato and beetroot stew and then apricot dumplings or apple fritters with ice cream for dessert, all very tasty. The menu offers an interesting mix and the plates at the neighboring tables also looked very good. Cozy atmosphere (wood) and outdoor seating in summer. Definitely worth a visit, perhaps after a walk at the Dechsendorfer Weiher opposite.

The food is quite expensive. I had sauerbraten of fallow deer with bread dumplings and red cabbage. The meat and sauce were excellent, but the bread dumpling and red cabbage were unfortunately completely tasteless. Very unfortunate. The service was good. The ambience in the inn is ok, the toilets urgently need to be renovated.

Good food, service super friendly and competent. The prices are definitely a bit too high.

Wonderful, rustic atmosphere, not too loud despite it being Sunday lunchtime, not a long wait. I had a gluten-free, vegetarian main course put together from side dishes. My companion found the roast very tender, the sauce perfect, as were the dumplings and the apple red cabbage. We will be back!

We always go here to eat. The range of food on offer is very good. There are also often dishes that you can hardly find anywhere else. More sophisticated cuisine, the taste is always very good. Still within reasonable price.

The food is wonderful with fresh and delicious ingredients. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is welcoming. Not to mention that after dinner we can take a walk through the beautiful lagoon and the nearby nature reserve.

Typical German cuisine. The food is ready quickly and you can easily sit there in a larger group. The salad contained marinated carrots and red cabbage, along with a tomato and lettuce leaves. There was also too much sauce, a little less wouldn't have hurt. Otherwise the food was good. The meat was cooked through and tasted good. In summer you can also enjoy it outside in the beer garden. The toilets are a flaw; you don't necessarily want to go in there.

Sehr schön aber auch ein bisschen zu laut.. Essen war sehr lecker. Aber die Suppe von mein Partner war zu salzig. Sonst für einen Kaffee oder Kuchen war ok

Super Destination nach einer langen bike-Tour durch Wald und Flur! Nachmittags hatten wir schon einen Kaffee-Kuchen-Stopp im Biergarten eingelegt und uns dann entschieden abends die warme Küche und das Bier zu probieren. Was soll ich sagen? Es war eine tolle bike-Tour mit gelungener Belohnung zum Abschluss im Forsthaus!

Leider stehen hier Preis und Leistung in so gar keinem Verhältnis mehr. Das Essen war lecker, wenn auch nicht viel und 17,-€ für ein Schnitzel mit Pommes ist eine Ansage. Wir haben zu dritt 70,-€ für ein Abendessen mit Getränken gelassen. Ja, die Lage ist toll und ich habe für alle, aktuellen Umstände auch Verständnis, aber für das Geld hätten wir auch Sushi Essen gehen können und keinen Wurstsalat. Die Toiletten sind sehr runter und in die Jahre gekommen. Passt nicht zu den Preisen und sind unangenehm. Schade, wir und unsere Freunde werden nicht mehr kommen, weil es schlicht zu teuer ist, auch wenn man schön sitzt.

Wir waren gestern hier essen! Unter den Bäumen schön schattig, super leckeres Essen, und nettes Personal! Einzig den Punkt Abzug, gibt es für die doch eher am oberen Segment befindlichen Preise! Komme aber gerne und bestimmt wieder!

Definitiv eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants! Sehr gutes, regionales Essen mit dem gewissen Extra. Schöner, schattiger Biergarten mit Blick auf den Weiher, und durchweg guter, freundlicher Service. Seit letztem Jahr gibt's einmal im Monat einen BBQ -Abend mit Live-Musik, habe ich bis jetzt immer verpasst, ist sicher auch super.

Es war ein sehr schöner Abend. Obwohl wir eigentlich schon zu spät waren und die Küche zu machen wollte, haben wir trotzdem eine leckere Brotzeit bekommen und im Anschluss haben sie sogar noch gefragt, ob wir Nachtisch wollen. Leider waren wir dafür zu voll gegessen, denn es las dich äußerst verführerisch. Allein deshalb möchte ich gern wieder kommen!🤗

Das Essen war sehr gut. Leider mittlerweile einfach alles zu hochpreisig! Getränke wie Flaschenbier 5,-€ , Schäuerfla 18,-€. In meinen Augen leider nicht nachvollziehbar. Die Lage ist auf den ersten Blick natürlich mit grandios gelegen Gasthaus am Weiher, im Wald sehr ansprechend, das Ambiente erhält jedoch beim genaueren Blick einige Minuspunkte. Die Toilettenkabinen haben bereits die beste Zeit hinter sich, auch wenn soweit sauber. Im Zugangsbereich weit offen stehende Garagentore lassen in unordentliche Bereiche hinter den Kulissen blicken. Kleine Schäden hier oder z.b. Lampenschirme voller Fliegen da, erwecken den Eindruck, dass leider für Details keine Muse übrig ist.

Sehr schönes uriges Wirtshaus mit sehr guter heimischer Küche. Der Service ist ebenso super. Wenn man am Dechsendorfer Weiher ist, ist eine Einkehr hier schon so ziemlich Pflicht. Die Öffnungszeiten könnten besser ausgeschildert sowie, im heutigen Zeitalter, bei Google aktuell gehalten werden.
