The cheesecake was amazing, super delicious, and the atmosphere on the Main River is fantastic. They used to serve great minced steak here that tasted like it was homemade. Now they only serve frozen food. I ate a much too expensive burger at the end of May 2025. The patty was almost cold and dry, the sauce worse than McDonald's instant sauce, very smoky. The fries, unfortunately, were also like they'd been fried for the second time and were still soggy. While I've enjoyed coming to the Bootshaus in recent years, I swore to myself that this would be the last time. For the price they charge, I expect a bit more than that. P.S. The homemade iced tea had a lot of carbonated fizz in it, and it tasted watery and not at all like iced tea (since when is iced tea made with sparkling water?). But, that's where we come full circle: such a delicious cheesecake!

We celebrated our wedding here on May 16th and were absolutely thrilled. The ambiance, the atmosphere, the food, and the friendliness of the Bootshaus team were all wonderful! Sehr gutes Essen, egal ob Schnitzel, Burger oder die leckeren Nachspeisen. Gute Auswahl an Getränken und ein wunderbarer Ausblick auf den Main. Der Service ist leider eher durchschnittlich. Man sitzt nach dem Essen lange vor leeren Tellern und muss nach dem Haupgang für jede Bestellung extra auf sich aufmerksam machen.

If I could, I wouldn't give them a star. Of the two tables, we occupied the third. They chatted away and didn't take us seriously at all. When we tried to make ourselves known by saying, "Hello," "Waiter," etc., they were extremely offended and called us names. Anyone that rude doesn't need my money.

The waitresses were totally unfriendly. There was no response to special requests and if you wanted to order something you had to take care of it yourself. We had previously reserved for a wedding and there was nothing decorated at the table and it wasn't told in advance that you would only get a limited lunch menu, which is ridiculous. If you're not a pig you have the option of a salad, but it's the size of a hollow tooth and the chicken also looked like Kentucky chicken pieces. This restaurant only scores points based on its location. My child wanted ketchup and was asked how much. The two bags were cheekily added to the bill. The first and the last time. I'd rather cycle past and eat somewhere else where I'll be served politely.

We ate small dishes outside on the banks of the Main, such as hummus, fries and hand cheese. Everything was brought quickly and tasted excellent. The homemade lemonade and iced tea are also great. You sit well with a nice view. The only drawback: the operation is not always pleasant.

Well, unfortunately the side dishes like fries or fried potatoes aren't really that good. Schnitzel or fish OK so far but overpriced.

-Tables and floor on the terrace dirty - Waited over an hour for food - Food extremely oily - Afri Cola & Co - the terrace is very careless - Yelling from employees - bitchy waiter who doesn't know the menu - while several guests are sitting outside and waiting for their food, put everything away and drive in (2 hours before the kitchen closes) - Stomach pain after eating + very nice and hard-working waitress + Schnitzel tastes good + good, homemade lemonade + good portion size We were disappointed with our first visit - perhaps because we expected a lot from the reviews. The online impression is more upscale-bourgeois. From the physical impression it is more of a hiking restaurant. We arrived and everything was covered in ketchup, the floor and the table. It can happen, but it wasn't cleaned either. The waiter came straight to the table and quickly wanted to take the order. But we didn't know the menu and he couldn't give any more detailed information about the beer (whether one of them was a pilsner or a wheat beer). So we asked for time to think about it. He stalked away angrily and passed the table to his colleague. We then decided and ordered a schnitzel and a burger. It was slowly getting cold and dark outside. So we were transported inside. By now it had become quite empty, just a small celebration. The food took over an hour to arrive after ordering and was dripping with oil. As if oil had been poured over the schnitzel. We didn't want to make a fuss because we were getting really hungry. We both suffered severe stomach pains. There was a lady in the toilet, probably from cleaning, talking loudly with her colleague who was in the guest room. That was very unpleasant. In summary, we felt more like a nuisance. The waitress was a bright spot though. I'm glad I didn't have my celebration there. It's possible that we had a very bad day, but I still don't want to go there anymore.

I've always had very good meals at the Bootshaus. I usually drink my Carl Ferdinand beer with my meal. I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is fantastic. The restaurant offers a view of the Main River. In summer, you can sit on the terrace and enjoy the weather. If the restaurant is overcrowded, you'll have to be patient. That would be my only minor complaint, but not enough to deduct a star, so full marks. Thank you, Bootshaus!

It is beautifully located on the Main, right on the bike path. Unfortunately there is only a very limited menu at lunchtime, but it is cheap.

Wir sind regelmäßig im Bootshaus und jedes Mal absolut zufrieden. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen einfach top! Falls doch mal etwas nicht ganz passt, wird es sofort geklärt – man muss nur offen miteinander reden. Besonders begeistert hat uns das Wintergrillen, bei dem wir nun schon zweimal dabei waren. Eine fantastische Idee von Lutz und seinem Team! Die Atmosphäre ist einzigartig, man fühlt sich rundum wohl. Das Bootshausteam überrascht immer wieder mit kreativen Aktionen und macht jeden Besuch besonders. Absolut empfehlenswert! 🌟

The food is good and appetizingly prepared. I was very attentive to the fact that even the bread with the hand cheese was slightly toasted. Great taste. The service could be a little more attentive and the guests were more willing to ask for further requests, for example. ask for coffee.

Visit for a winter barbecue on the terrace. Friendly service, very tasty grilled dishes at fair prices. I think the drinks prices are slightly too high, but still within reason.

We drove all the way from Bad Camberg to Flörsheim today to have dinner with the family. And I have to say, it was totally worth it. We had cheese fondues with tons of side dishes: schnitzel, half a duck, spare ribs, and fried mushrooms. At the end, everyone was full and happy.

The Bootshaus Burger is a stunner. Tastes excellent. The service is very attentive and friendly. Great.

If you have health restrictions, you should definitely avoid this restaurant. The lunch menu did not contain any information about additives for allergy sufferers, and even when we asked, they were unable to give us any information. Instead, Chef Lutz Hagemann personally came to our table and introduced himself as the chef. When I politely pointed out my allergies and asked for support, he cynically recommended that I eat ice cubes. Anyone who has ever experienced anaphylactic shock knows how serious and frightening this situation is. The boss's reaction was stunning; there was no apology. Instead, the responsibility was placed on me – I should have specifically asked about the ingredients he used. Treating guests like this and making fun of them is disrespectful and simply unacceptable. There are restaurants in the immediate vicinity, also with a nice terrace - you will be treated very friendly and the food is very tasty. In contrast to the boathouse, it was also full. There will be a reason for that!

The food is good, the portions are large. The atmosphere can be described as rustic. The service inside in the evenings is impeccable, fast and attentive. It's almost better outside at lunchtime and you feel extremely comfortable on the terrace with a view of the Main with fantastic beer. Conclusion: Absolutely recommended, whether for lunch as a break on the bike tour or in the evening for a leisurely meal. Oh yes, the prices are absolutely fine, good value for money. And finally: the fries are awesome.

Dear boathouse team! We were at the pottery market today and ended up here by chance. We were very happy with everything. The service staff was consistently friendly and on the ball. The food - I had the Steuermann salad with chef's dressing (😋🤤) and then a piece of cheesecake (soooo delicious!!!) - was excellent and filling. I felt so comfortable and thank you for the lovely stay❣

After a walk with the dog, we've been going there more often now. The waitresses are consistently nice and are nice even when stressed. The food is consistently very good for a boathouse. Price/performance is also right.

Two visits within 7 days. Conclusion: It's now on our black list! Summary: Mass dispatch when full. Boss is zero service and guest oriented. Staff are on the move and only focus on processing the masses and not on the guests. Report from the series “My favorite service experience” in detail: 1st visit: terrace full. Ambiance seems "rushed" due to sprinting staff. Impression from the guest: This is about mass processing. Despite asking, it took 35 minutes until the first drink was on the table. Unfortunately it doesn't work at all! Ok, everybody gets a second chance... 2nd visit, a week later. He knocked the bottom out of the barrel. Table reserved by phone. Terrace full on arrival. The service is running again and ignoring us. At first glance it is clear that there is no table reserved for us. We (!) speak to the service staff. “Yes, wait a minute, I’ll look.” After the young man comes back to the terrace he ignores us again. Only when we spoke directly did he confirm that there was no table for us. Not a syllable of regret. When I asked why I called and made a reservation before setting off for 30 minutes, he turned around without a word and left us standing. Then ask the boss what happens next. Answer: "Well, there must have been a mistake." Ok, mistakes happen. But again not a syllable of regret. Inquiry: “And what happens next?” Answer: "When did you call?"... as if that had anything to do with it. Take a look at the reservation book: Our reservation and telephone number are on line 1 for this evening. The boss then said: “We can continue to discuss things here, but I have to pour drinks.” Without words. When asked again what he plans to do now, he says, visibly distressed: "Well, then a champagne is on us." Thank you! We then went next door to the “Hirsch”. Great terrace under old trees, full, food very good. And yet a great service experience. We heard the following: “Welcome” “Would you like something to drink?” Special request for the side dishes: "Of course that's possible, very welcome." Before the last sip is emptied in the glass: "Can I bring you the drinks menu again?" And, and, and... Totally relaxed atmosphere. What a contrast to the boathouse. And this is also at full capacity. Sorry friends, not with us. We are guests and not supplicants! You will receive first prize for the pub that made it onto our black list the fastest. And the standard answers that are often found here for negative reviews... "we try hard"... "hospitality"... "service experience" etc. etc. will not change anything after the second missed chance within 7 days. We have experienced the opposite.

Unfortunately the salad with chanterelles was not good. Cold baguette and mushy mushrooms. Staff ran around completely uncoordinated, tables were mixed up, etc. It used to be better!

Apparently due to a lack of staff, one waitress was “not in a good mood”. The other was much friendlier. Food was good. There is still a lot of room for improvement. We would come back despite everything.

Unfortunately our visit to the boathouse was quite disappointing. In our opinion, the fundamental problem was that the kitchen was far too small for far too many guests. The small kitchen area resulted in very long waiting times and rather carelessly prepared food. The two burgers that arrived after about an hour were almost cold, undercooked and so loaded with vegetables that you simply couldn't eat them by hand. The bland sauces from the tube rounded out the overall picture. The schnitzel wasn't really edible either. It was completely greasy and the breading was soggy. At least it was still reasonably warm and well cooked. There was no taste at all of the chanterelles in the cream sauce. The fries that came with all three dishes were only lukewarm. You really lose your appetite for dessert. The service makes you wait quite a long time and ignores you when you come in because here too they save capacity in terms of the number of guests. Surely he is already tired of the conditions. Positive highlights were the drinks and the salad, which were not particularly good, but just average, and the location on the Main. Otherwise, the €75 for bad dishes and long waiting times for 3 people was rather painful. It's better to walk 5 minutes further and eat three kebabs at the good Flörsheim kebab shop.

It's time for a new review... A lot has happened in the boathouse - and only good things...!!! The terrace is covered with great awnings and makes summer fun even more enjoyable. There is also regular, relaxed live music in the evenings, usually unannounced, but all the more atmospheric. The legendary giant grill that the boathouse purchased also regularly serves its culinary needs. A lot has happened - and if you've heard bad things, just take a look again... Boathouse - better than ever...!

Beautiful outdoor terrace with sun sails. With a light breeze it is easy to endure even in hot weather. Food is good and there is something for everyone.

We were there with a small group on Saturday evening. Space outside on the terrace under the awnings. Friendly service despite the full outdoor area, good food and a beautiful view of the Main. We each had a different dish and everyone was happy with the portion and taste. Anytime again 👍

The taste of the cake is very good, but the attention is the complete opposite. The guy with the cakes makes faces when we ask a question. And the woman with the glasses is rude. Don't eat there if you don't want to be treated badly. They also forgot to bring a plate of chicken nuggets but the treatment was so bad that we just wanted to leave that place and we didn't remind the waiters to bring it

The place is overrated. I got the Spanish Fish Stew, way to salty. Overloaded with artificial seasoning. The worse if you eat not in the patio, but still outside you have to put up with the cigarette smoke from the table next to you. Overrated and the food 👎 👎 👎.

Even though we had made reservations for a group and there were people of great-grandparents' age, after we asked for our table we were made to wait for more than five minutes and were still taking orders before we were shown to our table. Significantly more dishes were offered on the website than were available on site. This was also indicated by a handwritten note to the employees: “Do not give out black cards!” The website also advertised “its dedicated and well-trained team.” In contrast, the waiter in charge of us insisted that he was new and didn't really know his way around. Some orders were either not written down at all due to language difficulties or were not served for other reasons. Finally, after being informed that we wanted to pay, it took another 20 minutes until our bill was finally brought. I have a certain understanding that sometimes things don't work 100%, but without a word of regret from the staff or operator, my only conclusion is: I will never visit this restaurant again.

I like to give 5 stars. Yesterday we were there again for a long time and I was just thrilled. Sooo nice waitresses, both of them! Excellent food. Our wishes were fully taken into account, even though the kitchen was poorly staffed. Mineral water is available with mint, orange and lemon, wonderful! Well, the place is still the best around. The terrace radiates an even more pleasant atmosphere with the new sun sails. The interiors have also been very attractively redesigned. There's nothing more to add.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
