Flo Salento in Köln

We had a really nice afternoon at Flo Salento. We did an orecchiette workshop and were able to make our own pasta and learn a lot about the region and the typical Salento cuisine. There were also small delicacies and lovely conversations and stories from the owner of the restaurant. Afterwards we were allowed to choose a sauce from the menu and eat our homemade pasta, accompanied by a delicious wine. The restaurant is very cozy, decorated in a southern Italian flair. We will definitely come back.

Dear Rebecca, You made a very likeable impression on the internet. So yesterday I spontaneously came to visit with my Italian girlfriend and 2 children. Since the front 3 tables were occupied, we sat in the back. We were basically alone except for a younger man on his laptop with headphones. Does he belong to the house?…. Something a bit strange... The furnishings are harmonious (cat-heavy), but unfortunately not at all to our taste. The team also had a very dark day yesterday... I hope you weren't in the kitchen yourself... We didn't like any of the four dishes. According to our subjective perception, the pasta wasn't cooked to perfection and the sauces were either much too sour (the dish with pickled vegetables) or completely irrelevant and without any seasoning. Too bad... The young man who served us was very nice, but unfortunately not properly trained. Simply placing the water bottle on the table and not pouring it is probably the house's requirement, BUT Of 4 dishes, only 2 arrived at the same time, 1 was wrong and one didn't arrive at all. Accordingly, the invoice was also incorrect and had to be corrected. It's a shame, but it won't work. Please don't take this as bashing, but rather as a suggestion. We need good restaurants in Poll…

Since we come from Apulia ourselves, we wanted to try FloSalento's authentic cuisine. The fave was super tasty and the homemade orichette was also great. We had the antipasti Salento with typical small bowls... the home-pickled onions, wow. And not too Forgot the bruschette with olive cream and crimini. We've never tried it before, awesome... I'd be happy to do it again, it's worth the trip to have a typical Italian meal. Thank you Manu from Grevenbroich

Were there at 8:30 p.m., the restaurant is supposedly open until 10 p.m. on Friday evenings. But the gate was already closed and the lights were turned off. It didn't say on Instagram that it would be closing early. It's a shame, the store looked exciting

Fresh, tasty, wholesome, everything homemade 🧡 The service is as courteous and friendly as it is rare. Everything - the wine, the appetizers, the homemade orechiette - is delicious. I definitely recommend ordering the antipasti variation and trying it out. We were so full that no one could order dessert. The fact that most of the dishes here are vegan and everything is vegetarian seems authentic and appropriate. At the end there is an amaretto or limoncello on the house 🥰 also delicious! We like to come back again and again. This was our second time at the Christmas buffet here and we thought it was great. The only point to improve would be to offer a few fresh salads/dishes.

The food was alright. I got the Insalata di Riso without the black olives, the Vegan Calzone Fritto (I hadn’t had a vegan calzone in over 5 years, and it was delicious), and a Focaccia di Patate. Good food.

It is a very pleasant place, you can eat very well and represents a small piece of Salento in Köln. Highly recommended!!

If you could give negative points I would do it for this restaurant. The service (we were the only table in the store) was subpar. The starters... well, some of them were okay. But the main courses...out of 5 you couldn't eat 3...really disgusting, unabridged...! I like to rate good food but unfortunately I can't do that here.

Simply incredibly delicious. Great, small, fine selection of regional dishes and anything but the same standard range. And animal suffering can stay outside. Excellent and clear recommendation for vegans.

We ended up here by chance and I have to say it was a real hit. The service is friendly and explained everything if you had any questions. The food was really great across the board!!! Everything was fresh and homemade, no star cuisine but you could taste authentic southern Italy in every bite. Above all, everything without meat and some are vegan (otherwise we like to eat meat and fish). Not expensive in terms of price, we will definitely come back, absolutely recommended!!!

We've been there twice now and we're really impressed! The dishes are delicious and the service staff is incredibly friendly. Reservations are easy via Instagram. A great restaurant with a top price-performance ratio - calm and very special at the same time!

The best restaurant, everything homemade, very hospitable

As a native of Apulia, I found the dishes and flavors of my childhood here in Cologne at Flo Salento. In the pictures you can see a few of my favorite dishes: Bruschetta con ricotta forte, Orecchiette con le Rape, puree of fave beans and vegetables with croutons and ciceri e tria. The scagliozze (fried polenta pieces) as an appetizer are also fantastic. From wine to liqueur to caffé leccese, everything is included that you would otherwise only find in Puglia. Great home atmosphere both inside in winter and outside in good weather. The owner and chef, Rebecca, is an excellent host: it is as if she opens her kitchen and living room and shares them with customers. When my family from Italy visits me, we always go there for dinner. The location is not exactly central, but easily accessible by public transport. Warm recommendation!

Homemade pasta and very (!) tasty seasoned. The desserts were also excellent. The ambience is wonderful outside… expandable inside. The toilets also urgently need to be renovated. The service was rather slow that evening, but that didn't bother us because we had time with us. Recommendations: “Pasta Cu le Rape” and as a dessert “Tris di Pasticciotti” (see pictures) We'll definitely be back! 🤌🏼😊

A great and somewhat unusual restaurant! There are vegetarian and vegan Italian specialties that are prepared with a lot of love. In summer you can sit outside very nicely. We recommend!

What an insider tip for vegetarians and vegans! I went there on the recommendation of a friend because I've been vegan for years and haven't eaten a pizza calzone in a long time. I found what I was looking for here! We had starters for two people, a selection of southern Italian snacks, each tastier than the last, and vegan calzones for the main course, a dream! Juicy and creamy and the cheese is wonderful, not oily or strange as is unfortunately often the case with vegan cheese. Absolutely perfect! It's also really cozy, clean and has a nice little outdoor terrace.

The food here is really something special and always worth a visit. In addition, all employees are incredibly welcoming! :) absolute recommendation!

Certainly the tastiest orecchiette I have ever eaten. The owner stayed open longer for us upon request and looked after us so sweetly. I would really like to come back with all my heart.

A real enrichment of the vegan restaurants in Cologne. Very friendly service. Original dishes that I wasn't familiar with. Very well prepared. Overall very inexpensive. There were two of us, we had three courses and paid less than €80. Highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I came across it by chance. Vegan and vegetarian cuisine. Very traditional cuisine, really Italian! It was very tasty 😋. And the little Italian is very comfortably furnished. Can only be recommended 👍👌

Yes, well... I really enjoy eating vegetarian and vegan dishes and have eaten them in a variety of restaurants. But here it couldn't be beaten in terms of taste and appearance. The waiter was very friendly and on the ball. But the quality of the food didn't convince me. I had the gnocchi with pesto and mushrooms. Everything was very well cooked and the champions were very dark which showed me that they were already a few days old. And for €15.50 it was too expensive. The sanitary facilities were also bad. The floor drain in the women's toilet smelled extremely bad even up the stairs. I probably wouldn't visit the restaurant again. But just try it out.

We ate there several times: as a couple, as a foursome and in March 2024 at a large table with our birthday guests. Both the service and the quality of the food were consistently good. If you like vegetarian and Italian food, you can't avoid this place!

We had such a great evening at Flo Salento. The service staff was sick and so the cook had to both cook and serve us - which is why we were the only table they accepted and had the best evening and the restaurant completely to ourselves. She did such a great job and we felt really comfortable. The evening was a gift to my parents, my father is sometimes rather critical when it comes to vegetarian/vegan food. But he was also really excited. The restaurant is very lovingly run and the food was delicious. We had the antipasti as a starter and everything was delicious! As a main course you can recommend the orecchiette, it was so good! Complete recommendation from us, we had such a lovely evening.

Excellent! I ate here with my friend (vegan). She recommended the restaurant to me and was initially surprised because I still remembered it as a pizzeria. It is still an Italian restaurant, but specializes in traditional cuisine, which is probably vegan/vegetarian. As an alternative to pizza, I was recommended a Focaccia Margherita, which absolutely surprised me. If I had known it was so delicious, I would have ordered a whole one, but instead I tried the pittules, which were also just great! My girlfriend ordered the handmade gnocci with tomato sauce and they were also great. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back

We tried it out last night. And I really don't know how all the good reviews came about.🤔😳 The food wasn't particularly seasoned. We constantly sat in front of empty glasses. The three employees present always walked past us and our empty glasses together and went out to smoke. Nobody was interested in the visitors at this time. 🤔 The wine is too warm, the food is too cool 👎 The smell, a mixture of urine and toilet stone, spread through our noses. We sat under a huge, not well-cleaned chandelier with full lighting, which gave no chance of a cozy atmosphere. But even if you ignored all of that, things still got worse... The menu I ordered was completely forgotten. The waiter didn't notice that four of us were sitting in front of one plate, except me. I first had to ask where my menu was (he hadn't noticed himself.) It was then delivered quite quickly. Fresh out of the microwave so hot..... Well, I couldn't think about eating anymore :-( The craziest thing I've ever seen in a restaurant in my life was the lady who, judging by her "outfit", was also the cook. She did the calculations at the table with a calculator and charged me €15 too much. After my acquaintances pointed this out to her, she said I could do the math again and, oh yes. Not a proper apology. Then she only gave me back five euros and only when I asked, then the remaining ten euros. I saved the very, very worst thing for last. I don't think the employees at this restaurant have ever heard of HACCP in their lives. As nicely mentioned, hands were probably not washed after smoking and what the kitchen lady wore as work clothing, Judging by the dirt, it had been on since the store opened and unwashed!!! 🤮🤐 Without words!!!! I've never come across something so disgusting and I'm actually really at a loss for words. I just say ugh!! Once and never again!! I'm still considering making a report to the health department.

This restaurant is something extraordinary! Here you can eat authentically Apulian😍 You can put together the Frisella (Frisa salentina) yourself 🙏🏻 Finger food deluxe 😍 And the homemade pasta... Hmmmmmmm awesome 💪🏻 Worth a visit!

A really great vegetarian restaurant! This evening there was only one owner there and therefore the restaurant was not full. She hosted us wonderfully, was very, very accommodating, had everything under control really well and the food was absolutely great! An all-round successful evening! We will be back definitely!

I stumbled upon this hidden gem of an Italian restaurant, conveniently located just a short distance from my office. It has quickly become my lunchtime oasis, and I'm not alone in my appreciation—my coworkers also rave about it! The food here is absolutely fantastic, and I have a special fondness for their mouthwatering calzone. Their willingness to accommodate takeaways beyond their regular hours adds to the overall convenience. This is definitely a place I'll continue to enjoy for my lunchtime delights! 🤤💯

Reichhaltige und leckere Antipasti Platte. Zudem Gnocci mit Champignons und Tomaten top. Ebenfalls frittierte Calzone empfehlenswert. Sehr freundlicher Service. Wer veganes Essen bevorzugt ist hier sicherlich gut aufgehoben. Kommen bald wieder.

Ein Stück Salento in Köln Poll. Ein Abtauchen, wie im Urlaub mit fantastischem Essen und leichtem Weißwein. Ich komme wieder, ganz oft.

Das Flo Salento überzeugt durch herzliche und freundliche Gastgeber, ein gemütliches Ambiente wie bei Nonna und frisches, leckeres und authentisches Essen und leckere Weine. Wir waren das erste Mal dort, sicherlich aber nicht das letzte Mal. Das Flo Salento beweist, vegetarisch und vegan muss nicht man langweilig sein, ganz im Gegenteil! Es war sehr lecker! Zum Nachtisch müsst ihr unbedingt die Tris di pasticciotti probieren! (Vorsicht, heiße Füllung! Kurz abkühlen lassen!) Genial lecker!

Wunderschönes, liebevoll geführtes kleines italienisches Restaurant. Der vino frizzante ist hervorragend als Aperitif, Vorspeisenteller ideenreich und als Hauptspeise selbstgemachte Nudeln. Ein Geheimtipp mit besonderer Athmosphäre. Mal was anderes....

Ein etwas anderer "Italiener" mit Spezialitäten aus der Region Salento. Sehr zu empfehlen um Neues kennenzulernen. Leckere Gerichte und nettes Personal. Eine Reservierung ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Da viaggiatore trovare la cucina di casa qui é veramente fantastico, tutti i piatti che cucinava la mia mamma qui in Germania, il personale molto cordiale ed educato , il ristorante rispecchia tutta la mia città lì dove sono andato via (Lecce) . Sarebbe bello che le persone riuscissero a scoprire 1/10 della cucina italiana poiché é l'unico valore che porto con me in giro per il mondo!

Avevo aspettative molto alte, ma purtroppo la realtà ha molto deluso. Piatti miseri per il rapporto qualità/prezzo. I ragazzi del service molto gentili. Mi dispiace ma non tornerò più.

Se potessi dare zero stelle, lo farei!! Aspettative altissime ma in realtà deludente. Piatti non abbondanti per un prezzo, secondo me, esagerato. L’unica cosa positiva della serata é stato il servizio a cui dò 5 stelle. Sicuramente non ci tornerò più.

Ein etwas anderes italienisches Ristorante. Keine Pizza, keine Fotos von Rom, Pisa, Florenz etc., kein Eros Ramazzotti. Die Speisen: vegetarisch bis vegan. Wir waren begeistert. Am besten die große Antipasti Auswahl nehmen (reicht für min. 3 Pers.), da sind fast alle Hauptgerichte vertreten. Der freundliche Service hilft gerne weiter. Solide Weine und Moretti. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Restaurant ist etwas versteckt gelegen und war gut besucht. Der Service ist wirklich sehr freundlich und herzlich. Das Hauptgericht hat nicht ganz meinen Geschmack getroffen, dafür das Dessert und der Wein. Die Karte ist übersichtlich, aber es ist für jeden etwas Gutes zu finden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, auch Dank der guten Musik ☺️

Das Essen war so lecker und authentisch, wie in Italien. Dass es so viele vegane Auswahl gibt ist auch toll! Das Personal war unglaublich nett und aufmerksam. Gemütliches kleines Restaurant mit sehr netten Inhabern. Die Speisekarte orientiert sich an typischen Gerichten aus Salento. Seht gute Auswahl an veganen Gerichten (ca die Hälfte der Speisen). Sehr empfehlenswert!

Schönes Ambiente, mit Liebe gemacht..leider schwacher Service und vor allem viel zu teuer für ein bisschen Nudeln mit Tomatensauce 15€. Schade, hat mich leider nicht überzeugt.

Finalmente una trattoria pugliese lontana dal tipico ristorante italiano con menù turistico anni 80! Menu con piatti tipici leccesi. Lo staff davvero gentile e simpatico. Bravi! Endlich eine apulische Trattoria, nicht das italienische Restaurant/Pizzeria mit Touristenmenü, die man normalweiße in Deutschland findet! Speisekarte mit typischen Gerichten aus Lecce (Apulien). Das Personal ist sehr nett und freundlich. Bravo!

A very special and characteristic place run by beautiful and spontaneous people. It's an experience. It will be like traveling to the heel of the boot..you can savour the genuineness and the simple richness of the Salento dishes in every bite...Absolutely not to be missed. This is their Signor Pasticciotto. A must, together with many other typical dishes from that region. Highly recommended. Thank you for bringing this to Cologne.

Endlich mal ein Lokal in Poll, in dem man das Gefühl hat in Köln zu sein. Ganz bezaubernde Inhaber:in!! Sehr leckeres Essen, vegan und vegetarisch!!! Das tut Poll richtig gut. Wir sind begeistert!

Es hat uns und den Kindern sehr gut geschmeckt! Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder! Auf der Terasse sitzt man super 👍🏻

Genau das hat in Poll bisher gefehlt. Um so schöner, dass es nun endlich ein solches Restaurant gibt. Sehr leckeres Essen, das weit über die sonst bekannten italienischen Klassiker hinaus geht, ein super nettes, junges und kreatives Team sowie ein hübsches Ambiente mit charmanter Terrasse haben uns absolut überzeugt. Wir kommen sehr gerne bald wieder. Hier kann man einen Abend lang Urlaubsfeeling genießen.

Das Personal hatte uns ganz lieb begrüßt und war auch während unseres Aufenthalts sehr zuvorkommend. Sie tun ihr Bestes, dass man sich in dem kleinen familiären Ambiente, das sie haben, wohl fühlt :3 Sie konzentrieren sich auf die Gerichte die sie haben, und dafür sind sie umso besser. Wenn man draußen sitzen mag, ist halt die Straße daneben. Sichtlich abgeschirmt durch passendes hübsches Gewächs aber Schall kommt trotzdem durch :D Wenn man sich daran stört muss man halt drinnen sitzen. Dafür kann man ja aber nichts. Und so sehr befahren ist die Straße jetzt auch nicht. Man kann sich gut unterhalten. Und btw waren die anderen Gäste, die da waren, auch sehr offensichtlich begeistert vom Essen :D "Hast du das denn nun probiert? Das schmeckt so gut!" xD

Sehr gute Auswahl an Spezialitäten aus Salento vegan und vegetarisch. Dieses Restaurant ist definitiv einen Besuch wert für die hervorragende Küche, exzellenter Service und entspannte Atmosphäre! Grazie Flo Salento :)

Toller Service, schönes Ambiente & fantastische Speisekarte!

Wir waren schon öfter hier und sind immer wieder begeistert. Es ist dort sehr gemütlich und die Betreiberinnen sind super gastfreundlich. Die hausgemachte Pasta ist der Hammer und das Tiramisu ein Muss. Wir sind sehr froh über diese gastronomische Bereicherung in Poll!

Wir waren gestern in Flo Salento in Köln Poll: Wow, super lecker! 😍 Das Restaurant wird von 2 Schwestern aus Apulien / Salento betrieben – die eine Schwester (Köchin) ist vegan, die andere vegetarisch. Das Essen aus der Region Salento ist traditionell wohl auch vegetarisch / vegan, daher ist beides auf der Speisekarte. Es war wirklich extrem lecker! Ich hatte handgemachte Orriciette in Tomatensauce, meine Begleitung handgemachte Orieciette mit Stengelkohl. Dazu noch Bruschetta und Vegane Wurst in Blätterteig. Es kommen auch grad noch weitere vegane Nachtische auf die Karte, wir durften gleich das neue Bannenbrot mit Zitronencreme probieren, auch sehr lecker. Die Weine sind auch aus Apulien, wir hatten den Weißwein und es ist jetzt mein neuer Lieblingswein. Ich kann allen die Reise nach Poll empfehlen – ist auch nicht so weit wie nach Apulien 😇

Die Terrasse ist umrundet mit Yasmin und es duftet herrlich. Das Essen ist vegetarisch und vegan.wir haben es genossen. Macht weiterso .

Wunderbares Essen und ein tolles Personal! Werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Das hat mir richtig gut geschmeckt. Wir hatten einen Platz auf der Terrasse und saßen schattig und echt in einer netten Atmosphäre. Mir hat das Personal gut gefallen, richtig freundlich und nett.

Rebecca und Roberta sind sehr herzlich und zaubern mal etwas Anderes auf den Tisch. Eine tolle Alternative zur klassischen Pizza und Pasta. Die Karte ist rein vegetarisch oder vegan und liebevoll und authentisch zusammengestellt. Gerade die Kleinigkeiten haben es uns angetan, sind sehr lecker und sättigend. Dazu gibt es tollen Wein aus dem Salento. Wirklich eine Bereicherung fürs Veedel.

Italienisch mal anders. Ein hübsches Lokal mit kleiner Terrasse und schöner Atmosphäre. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der herzliche Service der Schwestern Roberta & Rebecca und die Erläuterungen zu jedem Gericht. Die Antipasto salentino sind super, reichen als Vorspeise locker für zwei und wir bleiben gerne bei den italienischen Birre.

Das war leidcr gar nichts. Wir hatten gehofft, das neue Lokal wäre eine spannende Alternative zu unseren bisherigen Anlaufpunkten. Aber nein, die Vorspeisenplatte war von der Menge her okay, aber fast alle Zutaten waren völlig überzuckert (weiße Bohnen, Tomatendip, Tomatenchutney, getränktes Toastbrot) und durchgeweicht (Toastbrot, Chutney, Bratkartoffeln). Schade, aber das war so enttäuschend, dass wir da sicher kein zweites Mal mehr hingehen. Den Stern gibt es für die Freundlichkeit des Personals, das allerdings am Verkauf von Getränken außer der Erstversorgung offensichtlich kein Interesse hatte…

Posto unico dove provare specialità salentine. Ottimo anche per piccoli spuntini con pasticciotti, rustici e altri prodotti tipici della tradizione salentina!

Authentisches italienisches Essen von netten Italienern gekocht. Das gibt es nicht mehr so oft. Nutzt es! 😏

Einfach super! Buonissime specialità direttamente dal Salento. Il purè di fave e "fogghie" è una vera goduria ed è la prima volta che trovo questo piatto tipico della tradizione contadina in un ristorante italiano in Germania. Buonissima anche la rosticceria e pasticceria. Il servizio è efficiente e il personale gentile e alla mano. In più qui si può gustare il buonissimo espressino e il caffè in ghiaccio, preparati con il caffè Quarta!!! Come essere a casa. Consigliatissimo 🦩

Der Italiener der anderen Art....hier gibt es nicht die typischen italienischen Speisen sondern ausgewählte regionale Gerichte aus dem wunderschönen Apulien. Leckere Panzerotti, wohlschmeckende Pitulle und handgemachte Pasta lassen keine Wünsche offen. Die Speisekarte ist klein aber fein. Die vegetarische/vegane Küche und das liebe Team ladem zum Schlemmen und Verweilen ein. Ein Besuch lohnt sich!

Ein etwas anderer Italiener, aber wirklich sehr gut. Das Essen und der Service waren perfekt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren am Eröffnungsabend im Flo Salento essen. Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt - besonders hervorzuheben sind die leckeren, selbst gemachten Orecchiette. Die Bedienung, eine der 2 Schwestern & Inhaberinnen, war super freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Schade, dass Flo in Italien weilt und wir sie nicht kennen lernen konnten...;-)
