Every now and then, you just have to have gyros. It's not for nothing that the Flying Greek is so popular. Always friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious, and above all, the portions are generous. Definitely the best Greek snack bar in Porz, in my opinion.

All in all, great value for money. The terrace was full, and the shop was filling up, too. No long waits, the food and drinks were delicious, just a bit too much coleslaw in the mixed salad. I'd be happy to go again.

We arrived at the hotel in Niederkassel in the evening. I was really craving gyros, since back home in Lübeck, you usually only get kebabs at snack bars. I found the flying Greek restaurant with the great reviews. So I went because my dog ​​was allowed. If the weather was nice, we could sit on the busy terrace, and as a Cologne native who has lived in Lübeck for 26 years, I was happy to hear "a few Cologne accents" from the nice group of people who seem to be regulars here and were chatting loudly. I really enjoyed it. It's just like that... the people of Cologne are a wonderful and welcoming bunch. When it turned out that my "big, blue" one was slightly hindering another car from parking, I didn't get too yelled at, but instead they said, "Girl, don't worry, it'll do more." So sweet! But I digress... We ate a fantastically delicious gyro with the best fries. The coleslaw and tzatziki were amazing. Honestly... Please open a branch in Lübeck 😊 My portion was so large that, even though I'm a big eater and very hungry, I couldn't finish it. My mother had a senior citizen's plate. That would have been enough for me. The price was more than justified, too! The subsequent conversation with the boss was really nice and warm, just like the whole family who works there. I'm 53 years old and can say with a clear conscience that I ate the best gyro, fries, and salad of my life here. And not for the first time... The service is excellent, the prices are absolutely good value for money, and the location invites you to stay after eating. Please keep up the good work... Marko

We've been driving from Rösrath to the Flying Greek in Porz for years. There's simply no better place. I highly recommend everyone to eat there. The owners are super nice.

We had booked a table in advance, which is definitely worth doing as the restaurant was very busy. We had dinner at 6:00 PM. Absolutely unfriendly staff. Three of them made fun of me because I really expected to get a full gyro to go 45 minutes before closing time. I've never experienced someone pick on me before—a real cheek.

It would be nice to update the opening hours or indicate specific days when the restaurant is closed, so you don't go there for nothing. This has happened twice already! Very unpleasant. Especially when you're really hungry.

The Greek restaurant for the well-rested hunger. It was my first time visiting the restaurant and luckily I listened to my companion, who had already eaten there and knew the portion size. So I ordered the small portion of a very tasty house-style gyro and was pleasantly full, even though I started with a good appetite. I therefore recommend that anyone who doesn't like leaving leftovers on their plate (it was too tasty for that) or taking leftovers with them should choose the small portion.

The fries are always crispy and tasty!! Sometimes waiting times cannot be avoided because word gets around about high quality.
