Grimm's Fairy Tales etc. are no longer available. One employee was supposed to provide food and drinks on their own... Let's just say, they always tried their best...🙉😅 At least we were able to ride out the hailstorm under a large tent pavilion... Everything was several notches better in the past - a real shame...

Beautiful location, but a bit dated, especially the restrooms. The food (in the beer garden, the restaurant was closed) was more like a cafeteria fare; my trout, despite being freshly smoked daily, was far too dry. While it was cheaper than eating at the restaurant, it was still too expensive for the quality. I wouldn't recommend eating out.

Wonderfully beautiful because it is the right place to come and relax

The food at the snack bar was terrible. The pasta was precooked and stale. After the goulash and Bolognese, we had three days of toilet trouble. Not only were the prices exorbitant, we were also overcharged. And honestly, why does a 0.33 ml Fanta cost €4.50? And to top it all off, they forgot to serve us a pizza that was more like a tarte flambée than a pizza.

This is the snack bar. Prices are overpriced, especially the drinks. We were overcharged for one meal. We had to pay €59 for a pizza, a Bolognese, a gyro, and soft drinks. The food was incredibly bad. The pizza, also known as tarte flambée, was completely forgettable. I can't recommend it at all. Sorry.

Restaurant closed. A kiosk with a helpful but overwhelmed staff member. The food was awful (even the neighboring table had three gnawed plates). We couldn't believe this was supposed to be THE Fleether Mühle. We then asked a gentleman in the parking lot behind it. He said: "Yes, it is," and he was also leaving a day early...

Visited the Fleether Mühle again after a year. It was a complete disappointment! The restaurant was closed!!! There was a snack bar in the beer garden, where four people enjoyed dinner in beautiful summer weather. One glance at the menu was enough to make us head back to the parking lot.

The beer garden's kitchen is very questionable in terms of hygiene, the price/performance ratio is not justified, and the tarte flambée is charred and made with poor ingredients.

I inquired the day before whether I needed to make a reservation for six people. After the third attempt, someone answered the phone. I was assured that it wasn't necessary. After a long drive, I went there the following day with my family and two friends. Unfortunately, only the beer garden was open; the restaurant was closed. There was no indication of this on the phone or on the website. Unfortunately, the beer garden only served a small selection of food, at higher prices than advertised online. The children had difficulty choosing due to the limited selection. Fries were not offered at all. Once someone ordered, all subsequent customers had to wait until the food ordered by the first person in line was ready. For me (and the others), that resulted in a whopping 35 minutes of waiting time. Finally, when it was my turn, I was told that the food offered outside was unavailable. Unfortunately, we left hungry. For us, that was our first and last time.

Highly discouraged. The "beer" offered is a bottled Frankfurter for €4.2. I didn't get to try the food, but the return of dishes full of half-emptied or unemptied plates speaks volumes.

Good food, delicious beer. Great place for a short break, whether by bike or canoe.

Compared to my last visit a few years ago, things haven't improved. There's only one salesperson, who has to do everything alone. This means you wait too long for a drink or food. Children get impatient, and this disrupts your downtime.

Es mag genügend nachvollziehbare Gründe geben, warum man den Restaurantbetrieb auf den Biergarten beschränkt. Aber wenn weder dort noch auf der Homepage Öffnungszeiten bekannt gegeben werden, ist das alles andere als gastfreundlich.

It's a shame that what we've come to love over the past few years has fallen by the wayside. The atmosphere at concerts isn't what it used to be. One reason could be that people have let go of many things and now think everything is getting better. The "Frog Prince" announcement for your food has been abolished, as have the articulate staff at the food counter. It's a shame, it was precisely the simplicity that made you great, but that's no longer there. No fries, no schnitzel, all the things that make a beer garden special. Thank you very much, after a few wonderful years, we won't be coming back.

We were only in the beer garden. They serve delicious snacks there. It's quite cozy.

The shepherd's salad for €15 is unfortunately a disgrace, as it's more of a side salad in terms of size. Furthermore, the €5 surcharge for a few feta cubes compared to the regular salad plate is simply outrageous. Better to opt for other dishes; maybe then the staff will be friendly and won't swear while preparing the food 😉. Otherwise, this would be a really nice place.

Cleanliness is a complete foreign concept here. Prices and quality are completely out of proportion. Update: The operator has tried several times to have the review deleted. It would be more advisable to put the energy into solving the problems on site.

Ich wohnte in einer Maisonette, die kühl, ungemütlich und nicht besonders sauber war. Der Schlafbereich war nicht abzudunkeln und meiner Bitte danach wurde nicht nachgekommen. Sie wurde ignoriert. Die Bilder im Internet entsprechen nicht meinem realistischen Eindruck vor Ort. Die Kooperation mit Fastenwanderzeit scheint ein lukratives Geschäft durch Barzahlung zu sein. Alles gibt mir hier zu denken.

Well, I don't really understand the negative comments posted here. Especially since the basic idea behind self-service is that people should act independently sometimes. I don't quite understand what's wrong with that. I think it certainly doesn't hurt to get rid of the expectation of being served from start to finish. So, if poor service is the only reason for awarding the innkeepers only one star, then, at least in my opinion, it's a bit excessive. By the way, I'll be spending the weekend after next in Mirow and am already looking forward to an entertaining afternoon there. Especially since self-service is exactly my thing.

It's a shame, the beer garden is open again, but doesn't even have draft beer on offer. You can also expect more from dishes like gyros in flatbread. The service has always had challenges, but now the offer is no longer right either 😕. Beer garden without draft beer. I have to process that first.

Eine tolle Woche liegt hinter mir! Das Team ist großartig, man fühlt sich jederzeit gut betreut und jeder hat ein offenes Ohr, besonders René, Angela und Jana! Die Bungalows sind einfach, aber es ist alles völlig ok. Das Fasten war eine ganz neue Erfahrung und hat mich zu 100% überzeugt. Die Gegend ist traumhaft und hatte uns mit Traumwetter verwöhnt! Das Drumherum macht auch Spaß. Der Blick aus der Sauna auf den See ist unbezahlbar, auch das Schwimmen im See. Ich habe, wie viele andere auch, sofort wieder gebucht. Wir freuen uns alle auf ein lustiges Wiedersehen, im nächstes Jahr zur gleichen Zeit! Die Bewertung mit der Steuerfahndung und Aufsichtsbehörde ist absoluter Quatsch! Jeder kann eine detaillierte Rechnung bekommen, wenn einem die Quittung nicht reicht!

Super fastenwanderwoche, mit viel Aktivitäten und tollen Massagen. Auch Hamam war super und die Wanderungen von 4 bis 20 km wählbar

Ein gefundenes Fressen für Steuerfahndung und Bauaufsicht. 70 Teilnehmer beim Fasten. Barzahlung gewünscht. Es wurde gespart wo es ging.Heizung geht erst auf Anfrage, polyesternettwäsche inkl Stromschlägen, Miniwaschbecken, Wasser nicht gefiltert und Gemüse und Obst nicht Bio. Außenbeleuchtung war in 6 Tagen nur zweimal an. Anfangs musste man eine Haftungserklàrung ( gesetzwidrig) unterschreiben. Ernàhrungsberater sind auf dem Stand vor 20 Jahren. Einzige Lichtblicke Cate und Micha und die Natur. Ach, Internet ging auch nicht. 1020 Euro zum Fenster rausgeworfen. Nie wieder!!!!

Upside-down German flag in the beer garden: We visited the Fleether Mühle beer garden on July 18, 2023, around 7:00 PM. We had mixed feelings when we saw two upside-down German flags on a climbing frame in the playground. The meaning (search term: "German flag upside down") pretty much spoiled our short stay at this otherwise very idyllic place. A real shame. Addendum: Three attempts were made to have this review removed as of February 2025. I have a witness statement and evidence that I was a customer and was present. I'll spare you any comment on the ability to criticize.

We were there for the last time in 2022. My last review was deleted "due to libel". To summarize again in a completely neutral way: The beer garden with food and beer was very nice. The accommodation wasn't that nice, some of it wasn't clean and the food was rather plain. It's a shame, but the location by the water is nice.

Das Personal beim Silvesterbuffet schien so gut wie ausschließlich aus Aushilfen zu bestehen. Diese gaben sich zum Teil zwar Mühe, der Service wirkte aber unprofessionell, überfordert und planlos. Das Speisenangebot war enttäuschend und das Geld in qualitiativer Hinsicht nicht wert.

Viel Schein, wenig Sein. Die Zimmer im so genannten „Herrenhaus“ sind zwar vordergründig schick, aber extrem billig gebaut und eingerichtet. Hellhörige Leichtbauwände, Mini-Waschbecken, Bad ohne Lüftung, Kunstfaser-Bettwäsche & Co. sollten in einem Neubau heutzutage nicht mehr zum Einsatz kommen, insbesondere nicht in diesem Preissegment. Der Nachhaltigkeitsgedanke fehlt komplett, erste Abnutzungsspuren und Schimmel sind jetzt schon zu sehen, obwohl sich die Anlage teilweise noch im Bau befindet. Der beworbene Fitness- und Wellnessbereich wirkte unfertig und war über eine Baustelle zugänglich. Der „Pool“ war vom Eingang nur durch ein rostiges Gitter abgetrennt - eine Gefahr für Kinder oder mobilitätseingeschränkte Personen. Der Ausblick aus dem Fenster gab die Sicht auf mit Plastikplanen gedeckte Baracken frei. Das Personal schien so gut wie ausschließlich aus Aushilfen zu bestehen. Diese gaben sich zum Teil zwar redlich Mühe, der Service wirkte aber überfordert und planlos. Auch die Personen, die offenbar in verantwortlicher Position tätig sind, wirkten nicht besonders gastfreundlich. Am Empfang wurden wir nicht etwa nach der Anreise gefragt oder anders nett begrüßt, sondern als „Begrüßungtext“ wurde uns der Rechnungsbetrag genannt. Höhepunkt des Aufenthalts war Störung nach Mitternacht, als eine männliche Person mit dem Generalschlüssel ohne Klopfen in unser Zimmer eindrang. Dafür gab es eine fadenscheinige Erklärung, er hätte sich in der Tür geirrt. Fazit: Nie wieder!

A beautiful place, embedded in magical nature. Great accommodations where nothing is missing. Excellent food, rich buffet with an extremely large selection. Everything is always fresh, warm and courteous and the staff was able to cope with a rush of over 80 people. I am completely satisfied and thrilled. Thanks!

We had guests from Franconia who were thrilled, a very tasty buffet, nice people, great ambience, great service, thank you very much, an absolute recommendation from us, be nice to the guests, they were super nice to us. This restaurant was actually just a last resort for us. It will be our first choice in the future. Six of us showed up unannounced at the door before opening time at lunchtime. We were warmly welcomed in and were able to place our orders right away. It was clean, the food was delicious, and the staff was attentive and very friendly. The ambiance inside and out was lovely, cozy and inviting. We'd love to come back. Our visit was also a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended! We'd love to come back.

No service at the table. You could only eat from the buffet. Some of the food was cold and looked like it was left over from lunch. Dishes returned from guests in front of us were not cleared on the tables, even though we were the first guests to the evening buffet. Overall, the house seemed a bit unkempt. Cardboard boxes in the hallway, in front of the toilets, cobwebs in the toilet cubicles. Overall a bit grubby.

Nice place to sit by the water, very unfriendly service, "it doesn't matter what the sign says, there is a buffet for €20". It wasn't possible to catch up: "This isn't an all-you-can-eat meal." Food was OK.

It is very disappointing how guests are treated here! The beer garden and restaurant were closed for 3 days in a row, even though the internet said they were open. On site you get completely confused, the beer garden says open, somewhere you find a sign closed for 3 days due to a burst pipe. As a water hiker, you always check the internet whether it's open or not. That would have had to be written in 2024, digitalized time. Very disappointing!!!

Nice quaint place to stay. Almost €5 for a medium latte is exorbitant! The suggestion that others demand so much should not be accepted. The restaurant is not in Venice or Sylt.

After paddling, I ordered a large shandy at the counter inside. The employee is probably going to the basement to laugh.... The cyclist is piss warm. And that at an outside temperature of 28 degrees. No please, no thank you. Costs 4.90 euros. I give him 5, there is no change - is it taken as a tip of course? But for what? I don't have to go there again. Two stars just for the location and the exterior design.

DISASTER!!! I have never experienced such a bad buffet at this overpriced price of €20 per adult! Even the apple spritzer was a watered down ice cube concoction... absolutely subterranean! I was at a loss for words otherwise I would have complained on the spot, now I'm angry with myself and would like to warn others about this experience! Where the good reviews and the appetizing pictures come from is a mystery to me!

Nice restaurant with a beer garden. Exclusively buffet, aimed more at quantity than quality, which is very welcome after a long canoe trip. The price is absolutely reasonable and the atmosphere is really nice.

I have known the development of the spot for 13 years. The gastronomic offering and the location have developed and changed significantly. Unfortunately, service in the rustic beer garden had to be discontinued due to a lack of staff. Relatively new is a buffet offer for 15 euros, with a free selection but without all you can eat. The dishes are delicious and varied. The ideal end to a paddling tour. Highly recommended, certainly also as an employer in the region.

Had buffet food. The price is completely okay, especially since it is a self-service restaurant. But it could be better signposted. Unfortunately it wasn't stated on the buffet what exactly was in the containers. Especially fatal with small children when the supposed chicken nuggets are spicy cheese nuggets. The dessert was well signposted. Some of the area is still under construction, but the restaurant seating is in a great location.

Great buffet and even after the renovations, the Fleether Mühle has been our must-go after paddling trips for over 25 years

The Fleether Mill is a very nice place by the water and invites you to linger. Unfortunately, the buffet offering was a disappointment. Everything that was in the deep fryer, and that was a lot of food, was fried to death, the pasta was cold and the sauces had a thickened coating. We probably won't come back for dinner again. A pity!

So, we actually wanted to eat an ice cream sundae, unfortunately there was none and many guests only had something to drink. A few had tarte flambée which looked good. But as written, the ice cream was at the top of the children's wish list. The waiter was nice and kept calm despite the many guests. Everything around it was good and worth seeing and invites you to linger.

Went to the Fleether Mill again today after 2 years. We wanted to sit in the beer garden at 7 p.m. and were looking forward to tarte flambée, fries and burgers. Unfortunately there was nothing. There was only buffet food for €20, which was unfortunately really bad. Dear team, open your beer garden again, it's missing!!!!!

At the barbecue evening there was raw meat, very tasty. Employees were very nice. Unfortunately the boss was crazy. He came at midnight and turned off the power and insulted children as pissers and scum. In the morning we were woken up nicely because the owner was of the same opinion as everyone When we went to the room when we were having breakfast, we tore down a hot board and said we were there when we checked out and said that we should leave immediately. Our highlight “Solyanka” used to be worse every year. Expensive but thin with dry meat! Maybe the cake is okay? Unfortunately, beer is tapped with little carbonation. It's a shame about this beautiful place.

Great corner. It's a completely quiet location and you can still do plenty of things, whether paddling a canoe or cycling. In the evenings, when the weather is nice, you can sit outside for a long time and enjoy nature. We were there on a weekend and thought it was great. Unfortunately, there was a party and the youth group sat around the campfire listening to music until the morning.

I rightly wrote a negative review here two years ago because of the construction site where we lived, where we were told every day that they would no longer drill at 7 in the morning because of the smelly rooms and the incomprehensible price. I had to stay there for several weeks due to work reasons. Now my review has been blocked, which I find even more cheeky. Are you not allowed to express criticism? Are Google reviews just for praise? You have to be able to tolerate guests criticizing you.

What a failure. Unfortunately, our visit to the Fleether Mill was the worst dinner we've had in a long time. No welcome and a loveless, greasy and half-grazed buffet. And 20 euros per person with payment in advance. Unfortunately really not recommended. Ambience and quality do not correspond to the website.

Wir hatten die Bewertungen und Auszeichnung bei TripAdvisor gesehen und gedacht, dass es dort vielleicht ganz nett ist. Leider gibt es, wohl aus Personalmangel nur noch Buffets ab 18.00Uhr. Leider war vieles nicht mehr richtig warm und auch nicht gekennzeichnet. Wir haben als Vegetarier zwar was gefunden, aber ich würde die "Fleether Mühle" nicht groß weiterempfehlen.

Nach Längere Zeit wieder da. Aber hat sich gelohnt Das Abendbuffet gibt es erst seit kurzem . Sehr empfehlenswert und günstig dazu. Komme auf Jedenfall bald wieder.

Das komplette Angebot an Speisen bei dem Abendbuffet war kalt. Die Speisen waren nicht beschriftet, so das man Fleisch von Fisch nicht unterscheiden konnte. Für Menschen mit Unverträglichkeiten unmöglich

A very large outdoor space, beautifully located. Eating at the buffet was like this. Everything was self-service. Host was friendly.

The beef burger was really tasty and the fries were exactly as they should be. The rice pudding was also ok 👌

Location right on the water is great. We had a very tasty and juicy burger with fries. We recommend. There was no service in the beer garden. The order was placed at the counter in the restaurant.

The food tasted wonderful. There was a large group there that day. My impression was that the team was overloaded. You should wait until the group has eaten then you could order something from the menu again. I then said that I wouldn't wait here for 2 hours and then only be able to eat in 3 hours. After talking to the boss, we were made burgers which were very good. We had just finished eating when someone came and we had to pay. Finally we didn't get to pay right away. I won't be going there anytime soon.

We went to the buffet in the evening. The restaurant was full, but Jochen at the counter was still very friendly and in a good mood. It was certainly very stressful, but that didn't affect the friendliness. We felt very comfortable, the food was very good, it was always refilled. The location is great with a nice view from the terrace. Jochen, you are our employee of the month.

Rustic atmosphere, the environment could be tidier. Screen printed panels wherever the eye can see from windowsills to beach saunas. In the beach sauna there is a risk of burns from the screw heads sticking out. The sauna door opens inwards and is carelessly installed. The plunge pool in the “spa area” could definitely do with a cleaning. It would be better to cool off in the Fleeth. Sandstone plastering in the shower doesn't work at all, I can't imagine how many germs are hiding between the many cracks. I was there for a fasting hike. The program was great and it was a lot of fun and I recovered very well. The hotel has potential, it just needs to be used better.

Pure convenience, thrives on the busiest boat portage in the world and apparently does nothing to make it more comfortable. Sometimes you can't avoid it on nice summer days because all the better options are crowded.

I have no idea what happened here. The reviews didn't prepare us for this experience... The house is beautifully renovated and the outdoor area is very attractive, but that's it. There was only the option to eat from the buffet, but we were really hungry and walked. Dry meat, soggy pizza, vegetables floating in fat, rotten lettuce leaves, indefinable things, mayonnaise dried on the edges and so much more. It's a shame about this place, it will probably be able to stay afloat a bit this way because of the canoeists and cyclists. But hopefully a real restaurateur will take pity soon.

A very nice place to relax. Free parking, great view of the water. Unfortunately, the cheesecake (€4.60 each) and the fruit tart (especially the base) were also very dry - the pudding topping tasted slightly burnt. Too bad for the price.

Wir waren am Nachmittag dort und wollten eigentlich etwas essen . Das Restaurant war leer, eine Bedienung nirgends zu finden. Die Rezeption war nicht besetzt was für ein Hotel schon ungewöhnlich ist. Daher sind wir nach 10 Minuten wieder unverrichteter Dinge gegangen. Selbstredend haben wir dank TripAdvisor abends woanders gespeist.

I'm a schnitzel fan and know that there aren't many places left where you can get a decent schnitzel that doesn't come from the wholesale freezer.
