We went there for breakfast and it was wonderful. Very cozy and with a lovely atmosphere. The hot drink came with a sweet little ice cream cone, something I've never experienced before. The service was consistently friendly and professional. We'll definitely be back many more times. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

You can go there. I recommend the savory version of the tarte flambée. The crust goes better with it. I had the salmon version, but I didn't think the crust was quite right. We then had a delicious iced coffee.

Closes at 6 p.m. In the summer, in glorious sunshine. During the summer holidays. Really? We wanted to get an ice cream at 6:30 a.m. after a bike ride with our niece, but the door was closed. Behind us were two families with children. Must be going well if you're only open six hours a day during peak season. Oh, and the terrace is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, too. Opening hours like the Middle Ages, but they're probably right up there with the complaining about lack of business and raising prices. We finally got our ice cream in the Oststadt, even if it was a bit of a detour.

Delicious and delicious cakes. Coffee comes with a mini ice cream. The ice cream and Michahakes are delicious! The staff is friendly and helpful! Excellent value for money!

When it's busy (like it was on a recent Friday afternoon), you have to wait a really long time (20 minutes). I've never experienced the manager taking the ice cream from the employee, weighing it in front of the customers, and then reducing it before handing it out. Very strange, especially considering it's €2 per scoop—they're not huge either.

It's a real shame that the friendly orange-haired employee is no longer there. I always felt welcome with him, but now I won't be coming back.

I really enjoyed the ice cream. There were always interesting flavors, like lemon biscuit or pear mascarpone. The scoops were a nice size.

There was an ice cream seller with red hair. He was extremely correct.

So if you want an ice cream here, bring plenty of time. Even if it's not busy, you'll still wait 20 minutes to get an ice cream. Ice cream is OK at best. Edit: The "70" people:

Outstanding service – and on a crowded, sunny holiday! We did have to wait a bit after we sat down, but we saw how busy they were. After our order, we were asked extremely politely and warmly, with a very friendly reminder that it might take a while, and despite that, our order arrived in a very short time. Despite the terrace being full, we were repeatedly asked very kindly whether everything was okay, without being too intrusive. You could really tell how much the young lady lives and loves the service philosophy. Thank you very much for that.

1) The ice cream is delicious, you can't say anything about it 2) but I would say the size of the ball is a disgrace. I don't know of any ice cream parlor in Karlsruhe that has smaller scoops. Please teach me better if there are smaller scoops of ice cream somewhere.

Nice ice cream cafe and everything is averagely tasty. Nicely located with an outdoor terrace, but the service is unreasonable. There are too few staff and this leads to long waiting times, from ordering to payment. The "boss" is rude to the staff, which you notice as a customer. It doesn't work at all!

We were here for breakfast with our baby. We've rarely experienced anything so child-friendly! We were immediately asked if we needed a high chair. We also had the option to order the scrambled eggs completely unseasoned (for the baby). I particularly appreciated the very friendly interaction with the child. The breakfast was also delicious – we ordered a bit of everything. Everything was freshly prepared. I would also like to mention the manager – such a pleasant and friendly person; we not only felt welcome, but also like we were one of the regulars. We would love to come back!

A great location, not only for outstanding ice cream sundaes and waffles, but also for the fantastic tarte flambée. The view of the greenery and the comfortable seating areas invite you to linger. I'm already looking forward to our next visit.

We went to Husky Karlsruhe for a children's birthday party and went on a husky hike. Afterwards we walked with 10 children and 3 adults to Am Albufer where we reserved a table in advance and were given perfect advice about food and drinks by email in advance. When we got there we found a very nicely prepared table, there were gummy bears ready for each child and the table was decorated with Smarties. The 10 boys made a fuss but were calmed down in a super friendly and humorous way. The tarte flambée we ordered was served quickly and tasted excellent. At the end, each child received a delicious scoop of ice cream. We can only recommend Am Albufer to everyone, not just for breakfast or ice cream, but also for a children's birthday party. Thank you

An ideal place to meet a friend for coffee, a delicious ice cream or a small lunch. We consumed iced coffee, ice cream and cappuccino. The delicious smell of tarte flambée (?) on a neighboring table will certainly bring us here again for a small lunch.

I ate some spaghetti ice cream there and it was delicious.

I've had ice cream there a total of 3 times. The ice cream is okay (average) but the service at the ice cream counter is sooo slow that you can really lose interest until you get to it. You can tell that the staff just doesn't feel like it. (Works totally bored and feels annoyed all the time) The store could run so well with more staff and friendliness... Some people just don't notice when they're in the wrong place in the industry. 🤷‍♂️

Unfortunately I can't recommend the ice cream. Stay away from anything that says “aroma” or “taste”! There were a maximum of two small pieces of soft cookie dough in my scoop of cookie ice cream. Overall below average in taste and mouthfeel. After all, the selection is quite large. Great for children without demands because it's right next to the playground.

Ice cream tastes very good but the prices are simply too expensive. One scoop of ice cream costs €1.80 and you can't afford to go out for ice cream often. Unfortunately, I think it's also a problem for the ice cream parlors...for the future

We asked at the ice cream counter whether there were also savory dishes. This was answered with yes. When I asked for a menu I was told to look in the dining room or at the tables outside, there would be some lying around somewhere. That was the first and last visit, what a shame

I went for a leisurely breakfast with a friend and we absolutely loved it! It is beautifully decorated, the food was beautifully prepared and delicious and the waiter was very friendly and in a good mood. At the next table there was a lady with a dog who jokingly said there should be another dog breakfast. 2 minutes later the gentleman came back with a can of dog food, that's called service! My girlfriend and I can fully recommend the café and will now have breakfast there before departure whenever I visit (the proximity to the main train station was of course also very practical). In that sense, thank you for the great food and the nice service!

Celebrated the children's birthday there today after the husky tour. Were warmly welcomed. Table beautifully decorated for the children. We had flambée in different versions: classic, with salmon, with cheese and vegetarian. All very tasty 😋. The ice cream 🍨 also tastes very good. Cozy atmosphere. We were all satisfied. Thanks

Two colleagues and I celebrated our farewell together with a delicious breakfast with another 14 colleagues. Beforehand, a nice conversation with the owner about the planning and design. Friendly accomodation regarding the time/start of the celebration. Prices depend on the menu. The breakfast etagers are beautifully prepared and delicious! There is something for everyone!! Every hot drink comes with a small ice cream. Everyone was super happy and received extremely friendly service! We can recommend it without reservation and would be happy to come back - even without saying goodbye :-) Thank you!!

Have been there twice now and are totally thrilled. You feel comfortable and the breakfast, including the ice cream, is delicious. A huge plus point is that there is lactose-free ice cream. Breakfast: At Einscafè Rüppur you can expect a classic breakfast with everything that goes with it: bread, rolls, cheese, sausage, jam, butter and of course coffee and tea. Although the selection is not huge, the quality of the products is impressive. Ambience: The atmosphere in Einscafè is cozy and inviting. Modern furnishings and a relaxed atmosphere invite you to linger. You will find comfortable seating both inside and outside. Location: The Einscafè is located in a quiet side street in downtown Rüppur and therefore offers the perfect opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and have breakfast in peace. Toilets: Unfortunately, the toilets in the Einscafè don't quite meet the appealing standards of the café. Cleanliness and care could be significantly improved here. Service: The service at Einscafè could be a little friendlier and more attentive. During our visit, some of the employees seemed a bit stressed and unmotivated. Conclusion: The Einscafè Rüppur is a good choice for a classic breakfast in a cozy atmosphere. The location is great, the toilets could be better and the service would be much more pleasant with a little more friendliness. The prices are reasonable.

The gourmet breakfast for two we ordered today was a visual highlight and delicious in terms of taste. Eggs, various types of cheese and sausage, jam, yoghurt with fresh fruit, cucumber and tomato slices, rolls and croissants. Plus a glass of orange juice. Every coffee we ordered came with a mini ice cream. An original idea. The service staff and the boss personally were very friendly and attentive. In the new extension with panoramic windows you can now sit relaxed and comfortably with a view of the greenery in rainy or cool weather. We will come back in any case.

Ice cream is ok, but definitely not much more than average. Waiting times in line are underground, that goes far beyond what is reasonable. In my opinion the price level is too high for the offer. just 3 stars.

Ice cream is delicious, but why do I pay more to sit on their terrace? I do not understand that.

The location is really nice. Directly on the Alb with an adjacent playground. This was also the reason why we went to this playground to eat some ice cream. Unfortunately, the ice cream itself tastes far too artificial for me personally. The line was very long in good weather, which wouldn't be a problem. However, only a single young lady served behind the counter. Who was very calm and focused. Hats off to that. There were exactly five people in front of us. We waited 40 minutes for our ice cream. The playground was also said to be the slowest café in the world. Unfortunately, we found out that too. Really a shame. There was no toilet paper or towels to dry off in the toilets. But probably many people come from the playground to relieve themselves quickly. It's good that there is a toilet there. That's why I would like to continue trying other products.

The menu and ambience may be top. As before the renovation, the service is nil. Waited half an hour for service. There are much better places.

Visit the café often when we are in Karlsruhe. Ice cream, tarte flambée, iced coffee and cappuccino were very good. Service always friendly. The mini ice cream cones on the edge of the plate are a wonderful idea.

Today, after moving, we came here again for ice cream in a long time. What can I say: it was delicious as ever. It was busy as always, but the girls kept calm. When I read some of the comments here, I think that the gentlemen should stand behind the counter themselves. I couldn't stay so calm, I would probably throw a scoop or two of ice cream at the customer's head... don't let it get you down and carry on as before! If we are in Karlsruhe again we will definitely come back!

Wir wollten der Tage zum Spielplatz am Albufer mit beiden Enkeln.🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Wir parkten direkt beim Eiscafe und entschieden uns zunächst ein Eis zu genehmigen.😋😋 Wir selbst hatten je einen Becher mit Spagetti-eis, die Enkel hatten blaues Eis, genannt Schlumpf-eis.🧁🍨🍦 Es hat super geschmeckt. Wir saßen auf einer Bank im Außenbereich im Schatten bei fast 32 Grad Hitze.😁😁 Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. 😀😀 Wenn die Hinweise gefallen haben, bitte Daumen hoch.👍👍

Die Eisdiele macht einen super gemütlichen Eindruck, sowohl im Servicebereich innen, wie im Außenbereich (SB). Das Eis war superlecker und preislich völlig im Rahmen (1,70€/Kugel). Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Eis ist sehr gut. Man muss Zeit haben, falls mehrere Kunden da sind.

Hier ist die Welt noch in Ordnung. Wir waren im Servicebereich gesessen und haben sehr leckere Eiskreationen bekommen. Das Personal war sehr flink und nett. Das Ambiente ist seit dem Umbau wirklich sehr schön, eine tolle Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Da der Straßenverkauf neben unserem Platz war, bekamen wir mit wie immer wieder Kindergruppen kamen. Einem Jungen reichte das Geld nicht, der Verkäufer gab dem Jungen das Eis trotzdem und er durfte das Geld nachträglich bringen. Insgesamt waren wir beeindruckt wie herzlich, auch gegenüber Kindern, die Mitarbeiter waren. Das erinnerte uns an die eigene Kindheit, schön, dass es sowas heutzutage noch gibt. Danke für den schönen Moment, geschmacklich aber auch menschlich :) Wir kommen wieder!

Eis, Flammkuchen und Service hervorragend

Wurde renoviert und sieht ganz gut aus. Das Personal ist je nach Stimmung mal nett oder eher weniger. Eis ist geschmacklich in Ordnung.

Wir waren hier Eis essen was sehr lecker aber auch teuer war. Die Kugel kostet 1,70 Euro. Hier gibt es 2 Bereiche: einen Servicebereich wo man bedient wird und einen Bereich vor dem Lokal mit Tischen und Bänken an denen man das Eis 🍨 essen kann, was man sich an der Theke kauft. Ein Stern Abzug für den hohen Preis der Kugel Eis.

Wir haben die Chance an einem Sonntag Nachmittag genutzt und haben das Café nach der Wiedereröffnung getestet. Direkt positiv aufgefallen: es gibt zwei Bereiche. Erster Bereich, ohne Service. Sitzmöglichkeiten für "Auf die Hand-Esser". Und den Service-Bereichen. Wir haben im Service-Bereichen Platz genommen, wo wir freundlich bedient worden sind. Die Karte umfasst große Getränkeauswahl, Flammkuchen (süß und herzhaft) und Pasta. Die extra Eiskarte ist wirklich lange und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben zwei Eisbecher und zwei Känchen Kaffee bestellt. Das Eis war wirklich sehr gut. Für mich war der Becher etwas zu groß, werde hier beim nächsten Besuch auf eine kleinere Variante umsteigen. :-) Sehr schöne Geste war die Mini-Eiswaffel zum Kaffee! Der erste Besuch war wirklich positiv und wir kommen gerne wieder!

Tolles Ambiente und tolle Auswahl an verschiedenen Eissorten

Leckerer Kaffee, gutes Eis und sehr freundliches Personal :) Sicher ein Magnet in der Ecke;-)

Kannte ich schon, als es noch der Eiszwerg war. Wir waren immer sehr zufrieden. Da wir nicht mehr in der Gegend wohnen, kommen wir leider nur noch selten vorbei. Aber wenn wir in der Gegend sind, gehört ein Besuch zum Pflichtprogramm. Gastronomie war schon immer ein hartes Brot, da sind Personalmangel und eine gewisse Fluktuation quasi normal. Also, entweder außerhalb der Stoßzeiten hingehen, oder Geduld mitbringen.

Eis ist gut und Portionen gut bemessen. Nur Mango schmeckt künstlich. Wenn die Eissorten außerhalb der Eisdiele auf einer Tafel stehen würden, könnte man schon während man Schlange steht, die Sorte aussuchen und die Wartezeiten wären kürzer. Man muss dann nicht erst im Laden die Sorten lesen...

Leider immer sehr sehr lange Wartezeit, und die Kugeln sind auch nicht besonders groß für 1,50€! Wirklich schade, denn die Lage ist wirklich top und die Mitarbeiter ganz nett, aber es fehlt einfach was. Soll gut gemeinte Kritik sein. Liebe Grüße

Sehr gutes Eis, für uns das Beste bis jetzt in Karlsruhe. Außerdem wurden wir auch freundlich bedient. Der Preis für die Eisbecher ist eher am oberen Ende, aber gut und ansprechend gemacht. Wir kommen wieder!
